Way points become contested, at least from what I have seen, when an event is going on in that area like a town being invaded. I’ve always just completed the event and the way point goes back to normal. I guess not many people are doing these events anymore. There was one I couldn’t clear on my own so I left it be and explored the world on the way to my objective.
I’ve not seen any ascended items, but if the item says unique it means you can only equip one of them.
ah thank you
I always get the daily activity participation achievement in my daily list. However, can someone tell me what an activity is that I have to participate in to get this done?
Thanks in advance!
Ever since the update on Tuesday whenever I interact with any npc that has any type of voice my combat noise no longer functions i just fight in silence. All other sounds work. I can fix this by exiting the game and starting the game up again.
OK I understand what you are saying now
It would be nice to have more permanent content. However one thing I don’t agree with is saying temp content is a cash grab. I have yet to buy anything in this game with real money. If people are feeling forced to buy items with cash I would say some self control is in order before anet is blamed for someone’s lack of self control. :/
Correct there are no “forced” buys, but it still reeks of greed and cash grabing to push this lazy content out faster to try and hit on more things that more people will find that they want to buy. If its quality then it is quality, you don’t need to do limited time scarcity tactics to try to push peoples buttons.

Well I didn’t run into that. I gather every resource I come across this gives xp. I also worked on my personal story and finally I did every event that popped up. All that some what over leveled me.
I always think of the living story as what is going on in the world and the personal story is what is going on in my life
Very true. I guess it would come down to money and if the potential income would justify the expense of new separate servers.
From a business stand point, it would be good. Opening the game to consoles would bring in more revenue. However, my own personal experience in playing a computer game with console players has not been fun. Console players seem to have a certain mindset that just doesn’t sit well with me. I play the game to have fun and the few times I’ve played a game with mixed players I just did not enjoy my time at all. Everything turned into a competition. Just not for me. However, that is just my opinion / experience.
New player here. I have only been playing for about 3 days now. I’m currently on Eredon Terrace. I’m looking for a guild that is friendly, helpful, and does not take the game too seriously. In return, I always help guildmates when I’m on if they need it. I’m not too sure yet if my interests lay in pvp, wvw, or pve as I am still learning the game. My in game name is foothugger if anyone is recruiting that meets what I am looking for!
disregard this question lol. I didn’t realize entering the ministry was actually going to the upper part.
I am in Divinity’s Reach and I just learnt my first two craftskills. I was looking for a bank or storage place so I asked a guard. He marked it on my map, however it appears to be in upper divinity and I am at the bottom (looking at the map i switch between surface and upper).
My question is how do I get to the upper part??
Thanks
Don’t take anything you read on the forums (besides dev posts and patch notes) seriously. This place is a pit of negativity.
Almost all game forums are this way. I usually read forums for entertainment.
I think it was Tera that started you out as a lvl 35 or lvl 40 for an introduction so you could see the skills that you would be getting later on. That confused a lot of players. I enjoyed it though the first time around I was like ok now i’m lvl 1 (after the intro) lol.
Sounds like WOW I always hated starting a new character and getting to lvl 20 before I started having fun. But barebones is ok as long as I can get the chance to learn the game controls and such before having too much thrown at me all at once.
89,000 more files to download lol
Awesome!
I’m suffering from the “a watched pot never boils” syndrome right now it seems to be taking forever to install lol and then I know I need to do all the updates. Definitely looking forward to getting in game.
hehe thanks for the advice.
I was reading all the profession descriptions and I was looking at either thief or necromancer as I think either of those would suit my play style.
Just picked up my copy and it is installing now. Looking forward to having a lot of fun in this game. I have played WOW, Tera, Rift, Aion, Lord of the Rings Online, Horizons, and Asheron’s Call.
The combat sounds a lot like the combat in Tera with dodging and I’m quite interested in the being able to cast spells while moving that sounds fun!
See you all in game.
