I think the rules of posting here as a RoS player say I need to have a whine about blobs or spies or how the bad Drakkar Lake players hurt my feelings… So now that’s out of the way!

WvW is all about numbers. Always has been. To that effect, DL were more up for the fight than we were, it’s as simple as that, so kudos!

Now, back to my cookies and hurt feelings…

Indeed most of RoS (read MOST not all) seems to be more whiney about anything and I really getting tired of people making a whole server being called as cheaters.

If you want to (justifiably) be upset about people generalising and dragging guild’s names in the mud, as has unfortunately happened in this thread. You may not want to generalise and say ‘most of RoS’ is whining. I quickly went back and counted only 3 (5 if you’re being really cynical) people who made claims against GuM (for my own 2 cents, i’ve found them staying true to their good reputation every time we’ve fought!).

If ‘most’ of our server is made up of 5 people, I think we’ve done pretty well in this matchup :P

Moving on from all the rubbish, it’s been a fun matchup… trying to blunt the morning UW zerg until the rest of RoS start to wake up is getting old, but once we have some semblance of numbers to fight back, had some awesome fights!

In addition to the public VcY and RiOT raids, a couple of the other guilds (GoA and DeX being two of the main ones) try and pop badges for people to follow. Also, as Crad said in the OP, we have a community wide RoS teamspeak server that we attempt to get everyone into while commanding to make life easier.

The commander was DeX, so might explain the claiming.

@Hule, i have no problem admitting you guys have been a more than equal challenge this week I remember last time we were up against you and it felt like RoF had taken the week off… so big kudos to rallying the community/whatever has gotten your numbers back.

Also, with the random roll factor still in play, rating seems to take a back seat to our server position in the match up itself from my point of view.

If you’re referring to the blue paint-job the RoF keeps have just had, that was a pug job.

Erm, why would we attack WSR over you at the moment? You’re our competition for first place.

For those who need it spelt out for them; we take something from RoF, it both increases our tick and reduces yours – ie. twice as effective as if we take the same objective from WSR (we only increase our tick while RoF stays the same)…

When this gets big, I expect royalties for the title! kthx.

Fair enough. As long as you acknowledge that morale being negatively affected by the siege bug is no different to our morale being affected by the crashes last week.

For the record my thoughts on last week were that it was fair; although not an accurate representation of what the scores would have been without the crashes. To say any different is very narrow sighted.

On a lighter note, I spent some time guesting in Gunnar’s LA… I guess you could say our alliance is getting pretty serious

Edit: Obviously, like you said, these are my opinions… I’m not speaking for RoS just as others from RoS and GoA don’t speak for me.

Can you explain how this is different to RoS ‘making excuses for losing’ last week? Something about GH winning cos they adapted to the bugs?

On a serious note, I don’t mind the idea from the OP. As it stands, a necro going into DS basically puts a target on their head (generally used as a panic button on low HP) so (rightly or wrongly) a lot of players throw a bunch of utils at killing them.

Obviously there’s balancing to be done there, but its a different type of condition targeting a player’s skill level.

A condition that essentially removes condition removal would be almost an ‘I win button’. To make it not OP you would need to reduce the damage it does to the point of redundancy IMO.

Whining about people grouping (blobbing/zerging, whatever) is pointless. Everyone does it. Same goes for nightcapping – we nightcapped both other servers yesterday, logged in today to see that all our keeps had been wiped (/shakes fist at whoever made me run everywhere xD); swings and roundabouts people!

To the commander on GH that took our t3 Wildcreek… should have put your cata’s further back in the tunnel! Would have saved a few blueprints

Absolutely phenomenal numbers from Arborstone on reset. Had some very memorable fights (one in particular at Golanta and the Hyleks levelled mesmer’s wvw rank from 1 to 5). How on earth were you in tier 9?!

yeah, that is true, i’ve practically lived in wvw for months. I guess i mean ‘high-population wvw focussed’.

Like i said, no problem with the transfers, and because i’m not a PvE’er not phased about that being neglected. Just don’t like the way it was conducted…

Your move to RoS has been completely classless. If you come, en masse, to another server, the least you could do is work WITH the people (and commanders) who have been here since launch.

Instead, you’ve come in with the biggest kittening chip on your shoulder because ‘ehrmagerd we’re from tier 2, we’re the best evaaaarr’ and dismiss our most experienced commanders.

I have 0 problem with transferring here, and I have no problem making it a wvw focussed server (in fact i almost welcome it aside from the queues :P) but ease your way in, instead of trying to throw your weight around.
