Northern Shiverpeaks Night Crew
Os Guild
I’m in Hawaii and I never experienced any lag. IDK maybe it’s dakine!
I got tired of cleaning up photos on photoshop at work, soooo I had myself 3 min of fun :P!
Enjoy!
Aloha peeps! I know it’s early, but I’m starting to plan a small fiesta on the GW2 ann. Date on Oahu and I wanted to see if anyone outside of my known peeps would like to attend or help out.
I’ve picked out a spot, but I’ll here any suggestions.
PM if you want in. Open to all no matter what guild you in. Just leave ur hatorade for anybodys else online!
If we get more peeps in we can prob form a party planning commitee ala Dunder Mifflin :p
Mahalo!
Good luck enemy peeps!
I usually give the jp a shot about once a week and if I don’t make it in one run I don’t try again. You’re better off just earning your buying blueprints and earning badges on the battlefield. Don’t waste 1-2 hours trying to /wave or /bow your way up.
personally, I like my badges to squirm before earning them :P
Thanks for the post!
I think Anet would have to change their ranking system before they do this. I can’t imagine battling the same servers fro 6 months without any up or down in the lboards.
Personally, I would like to see two week matches. I wonder if that additional week can help a server rally from last place and place numero uno.
I like turtle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I purchased th riding broom and I still have yet to recieve the item. I have moved out and back from the area I purchased it and I have also restarted the client. Please help me with this issues so I can get my broom.
Keep up the good work ANET!
Is your mailbox full? If not, trying clearing at least one player-sent mail and see if that makes the item show up.
ZOINKS!!! I forgot about that one. Thanks Nicolle. You guys are doing an awesome job!

Hello! New player here! Was looking for a new mmo without a subscription and from what I have to choose from this fit my needs. I just happened to be at gamestop looking to spend some xmas gift cards and they happen to have a left over collectors edition so I picked it up. I have not choosen a home world yet… Any suggestions for a east coaster? I have been a wow player for 7 years and finally tired of feeling like I always have to play catch up :-(. Unfortunally I have to work today till 10 but have all day tomorrow off so I figured I would get some forum time in and introduce myself and see a good home world to possibly join! Look forward to meeting some of you in game!
Welcome! You can head to Northern Shiverspeak. I switched there recently and its pretty solid and I’ve had no issues with finding groups and doin things. I’m at lvl 80 , but I’m always willing to help out low lvl peeps if they need assist.
I’m in Hawaii time, and there’s always a health population of players all around Tyria.
I’ve seen alot of posts of new GW2 members and people wanting insight on if they should get the game and I wanted to offer my help to anyone that may need it.
I haven’t encountered any “low population” issues that many posts mention, but I have run into times when its hard to get a group going.
I’ve been around MMO’s since the beginning and I understand the frustrations we players go through if we don’t start in day one.
Just find me on Nothern Shiverspeak and feel free to friend me or contact me if you need any help with events, dungeon story mode etc. I am more than happy to lend a hand and Im sure that my peeps at the Angry Army guild can chip in.
I’m in Hawaii timezone.
MAHALO ANET!
MAHALO ANET!!
I’m always up for story and Berkut’s suggestion of gw2lfg.com is the way to go to get some assist. I’ve tried on numerous occasion to use the ingame group finder and for some odd reason its a pain. It suck to be in LA typing LFG to get a grp goin.
Hit me up or go to that third party website. (I usually have it up on my tablet while playing this awesome game/way of life. As always,Thanks again ANET!!!)
Im not a noob. but I’m always willing to assist w my lvl 80 thief
Nothern Shivers Peak is pretty good. I switched there recently after joining the Angry Army guild.
Is there a story mode for these events? I only get level 2 when I do my first run.
Thanks Anet!! Wintersday is Badawesome!
When I 1st got on orr I kinda felt this way, but I’ve had fun once I got used to Orr. Some of the dynamic events can be done solo and the peeps that are there usually are available to help out. I think I’ve enjoyed Orr more then any map.
People still watch G4? It’s got like one hour a day of relevant television and the rest is Cops or Ninja Warrior.
Oh how the mighty did fall.
Yeah G4TV’s programing went down the toilet (they’re changing to appeal to the masses). I just DVR AOTS and watch it when I can. I’ve been follwoing this deatchmatch on theFeed online.
Go vote :p!
People’s of Tyria..GW2 has put up a noble fight against it’s competion during this deathmatch, but it is currently losing to Dishonored.
Although Dishonored is a awesome game (love the steampunk stuff), i think it it would not be winning if this deathmatch was strictly PC games. Let’s rally and make the final round GW2 vs Borderlands! Thas should be a Badawesome fight to the death.
I understand the concept of freee to play, but I believe Anet’s business model is fine. They need to get paid for the fruits of their labor and I don’t mind letting go of $60 enjoy their product.
The whole gem store focus would bankrupt the company. I’ve only bought 800 gems since August and I’m pretty sure they are not alot of people out there that spend $20-100 a month on gems.
60 bucks is not a bad entrance fee to hours of entertainment.
Thanks for the topic! F2P is pretty a pretty hot topic right now.
No single game will EVER fulfill the needs of every gamer. At some point, all of us need to accept some responsibility for making our own fun or finding another venue that suits our style of game play better.
That is 100% true. I’m a journalist/public affairs specialist by trade and in my younger years I used to write game reviews for my free local paper and no matter if the game was a 3/10 or 10/10 there was always the “it could have been better if” in my mind. When I was doing this gig I did also enjoy some crappy games mechanics, features and gamplay. Its all about perspective.
IGaming is like enjoying your favorite sport be it baseball, football, hockey etc. the all could be better, but they really haven’t changed in forever. It’s the individuals want, need or will to find ways to continue to like and enjoy their favorite product.
FYI, I don’t practice good grammar when I’m posting on nonwork related forums. I think about grammar enuff at work.
As the years have passed and I slowly gained more responsiblities, my gaming time was cut significantly. Gone are the days of long raids, street fighter tourneys and COD all nighters. I enjoy having the feeling of accomplishment and usually a lot of time has to be put in to gaming to get satisfaction.
I thought I would not feel this ever again, but then GW2 came in to my life.It doesn’t matter if I play 30 minutes or 2 hours I always end my sessions with a sense of accomplishment. Although I would love to spend hours in pvp and wvwvw, the dynamic events, crafting etc. have allowed me to enjoy gaming while taking care of my responsibilities at home (my two kids are like charrs ANIMALS!), work and college.
Thanks Anet!
[Edit]
You are missing the point from the OP. For those posting in agreement. The game is exactly what it needs to be for them. Kind of a “be grateful for what you have” mentallity. Personally I am onboard as well. Perfect for getting an hour or so in before my family wakes up to start the day.
You can get that “fix” by playing tic, tac, toe with yourself and changing up x and 0 in center space it would be about as creative.

That’s not nice. Lets stay on topic please. all discussion are welcom both in agreement and disagreement, but lets keep the attack nonexistent. We only have till 12/21/2012 to keep it civil :p
It is wonderful that it doesn’t matter much if we play 4h/ week or 40h / week.
As Dinny also said, we can be gone from the game for 2 weeks and then just play and still not fall behind.I love the feeling when I don’t “have to” farm x dungeons / week for example. You can call it addiction if you want but that’s what it takes to be competitive in most mmorpgs. Here we can just play when we want, how much we want and still be on the top.
I dont’t know about be gone two weeks (I would go crazy), but I understand the feeling of being gone and then falling behind. My peeps were gone for about 6 months and during this time I jumped into SWTOR and it was awesome ehilw they were gone, but when they came bac I went about 3 weeks w/o logging in and I fell behind and lost interest.
Thanks for everyone’s participation in this threakitteneps its goins!
