Explanation:
- As a weaver you will always be in GCD from swapping, not being able to swap when needed
- You can only react with skill 2 even after GCD, since 1 is just autoattack and all others are dependend on which attunement you come from. Making the reaction practically RNG based.

Playing weaver has a huuuuge opportunity cost in PVP, that not in the least made up by traits and extra skills (+ DPS of the sword is abysmal for the lowest range ele-weapon…)

I think weaver will be cool for intricate rotations in PVE, but never in PVP. It cannot react to the opponent, because of GCD and swap mechanics.

Why do some wings come without glider skin?

“…it would look stupid with how small butterfly wings and glittering wings are.”

Not as stupid as wood and fabric popping out of ones back…

But I do think the optimal would be (and even pay extra) when the glittering wings would spawn some kind of additional ethereal wings while gliding (like the dreamthistle weapons that spawn their misty blades only when drawn)

“I could understand small glider skins if it made sense that they would actually worked. For example, a small jetpack, or some kind of aetheric powered device/asura tech.”

I am totally for the Spinal Blade Pack (it flew up to Scarlet at least) or the flying carpet (duh) to get a gliding skin like the feather wings.

Fairy wings I always assumed as magic rather than physically feasible (even Tinkerbell cannot fly solely with her wings).

- Saw Glittering Wings in trading post today.
- Liked what I saw
- Wanted to buy Glittering Wings
- Saw that they come without glider skin
- Shook my head and thought “Whyyyy ?”

Come on Anet. Having wings on my toons back replaced with other wings while gliding and then switched back when hitting the ground is just stupid.

Put a glider skin with the wings and take my money!

I sometimes have trouble in HoT in zerker gear, but my reflexes are rather slow, so this is to be expected.

But I notice that I sometimes get hit when I think I should not have been, like during the distortion sword attack of the mesmer or in the middle of a dodge.

Had no clue going into this one.

Was exited because there was a treb.

I went to treb and trebbed away killing many doorbusters coming down the way.

Once in a while an ugly Asuran came up and tried to 1v1 me. Didn’t take notice which class, it was easy to kill it with fire and the flames hid it’s moves.

After some while gaining almost no points and the enemy team taking the lead the other broke through the enemies gates and killed the Lord.

Win.

10/10 would treb again.

I only knew this quest in it’s bugged state until know

I really like it the bugged way. It works nicely to bring all vinetenders down simultaniously, instead of one by one. This way there would need to be more than 1/4 of the group working against the quest to fail, instead of 1 or 2.

No, it should not be always on, there is enough clutter on the screen already.

Rather it should stay there until fully recharged and then disappear.

Even though I am fine too with it disappearing when landing, that doens’t mean it could and should not be improved on.

OK, you convinced me on that point.

It is lackluster at start on purpose, but with advanced gliding, updraft and what not it will get better than what other games have to offer (and the proper environment to use it in!).

And I am convinced that with time there will be ample glider skins of which some will surely suit me (give me animated ethereal wings or make the purely cosmetic wings from the cash shop functional )

Keeping my fingers crossed for some gliding quests….

Yes it is just phase of unfun gliding until mastered.

How about having a fast rate of descend when learning it, which is changed to a slow rate of descend when learning advanced gliding. (So instead of time capping gliding you actually are getting better at it?)

Liking the gliding in Archage and Blade & Soul very much, I was looking forward to the gliding in GW2 very much.

After the Beta Weekend my enthusiasm was quite dampened by:
- learning gliding by doing unrelated events and killing the local fauna
- having a set of sail-ish extensions popping out of my back from nowhere
- falling into the dark abyss because of my glider just folding/dissapearing (did not notice the bar).

What would brighten my mood:
- Quest to get/make a glider: There is enough debris to salvage and enough pact ship engineers stranded. Why not do a questline around “We are stranded here and have no means to get around if we don’t have any means to get airborne. Let’s salvage the wracks and see what we can come up with.” which leads to strapping some wings to your back. (mechanical jetpacks like Scarlet’s bladed jetpack from Charrtech to force field wings from Asuratech)
- Make the glider a backpack for mechanical gliders. Wood and fabric just popping out of nowhere feels wrong to me. Or do magical wings.
- I can understand the reasoning for the exhaustion bar while gliding, but I find it to be seriously unfun (and illogical if a wood-and-fabric-glider folds in mid-air because it’s
“energy” runs out…)

Oh, and the jetpacks we used to fly up to the giant drill in Lion’s Arch: Make them fly in HoT

….please….

Aug. 11 – Things from the Thread:
- The endurance bar disappears when landing, leaving one to guess when it is fully recharged. My suggestion is to leave it on until fully recharged, then let it disppear.

"Rebound." Tempest elite skill

in Elementalist

For the skill to break even the combined cooldown of the skills cast after rebound has to exceed 240 sec. So something only a very coordinated group with TS or very experienced players could pull off.

But where would a reduction of a skill from 120s to 90s really pay off? Reviving Group in WvW with 1 Ele and 4 Warriors? Coordinated firing of all elite skills in PvP to win a 4 vs 5 fight?

Any tactic where the whole team fires their 120s skills on cooldown?

Like the Sandstorm Giant, i stopped doing because he just vanishes when the timer runs out, I will not do any event or fight any mobs that just despawns at dawn (or dusk). Despawning is the most unfun way of ending an event or fight and just makes it into an DPS check….

Also, Sylvari should have the option to dye the Iris and the area around the iris independently when customizing eyes.

Also, when using the Total makeover kit, the exclusive colors should be accessible for Sylvari to use as a skin tone and a glow color.

What I loved:
- Scenery and architecture are what Guild Wars does better than all the rest. Here too, plus verticality. Great map.
- Reaper Shroud. Slow, but has that powerful juggernaut feeling.
- Tempest overload animations.
- Companions and enemies don’t feel like braindead pushovers anymore.
- The added mesmer mechanics
- The new mesmer specilisation synergizes very well with a lot of playstyles adding depth and viable combinations. Well done i think.

Why? Because I really, really, really wanted the Fused Short Bow skin"

OK, after my last post just being venting I actually got a suggestion:
→ Code the drops, so that for each “failed” chest the chance of a rare/event drop increases, resetting on “success”. Making sure you get at least one drop out of $5 to $10.

I bought a serial on ebay and cant log in right now, because of “account issues”.

I know buying on ebay is risky and I am to blame,…

But the way its done totally rubs me the wrong way. When they suspend the account, they do it for a reason, but I do not get any info. No Email, no status in account management, no info on login, why I got locked out….

I cant go through account management to file a ticket, I have to make a new support account and regurgitate all the info I already told them….

I like the Game, but this bugs me to no end…

I'd rather have reanimator disabled until a fix is ready.
