Hi, I am wondering on the difficult of fractals. is it a linear increase?
I remember 1-10 it was relatively easy, but I am on my 4th attempt to pass 11 and 3 out of the 4 times we just wiped too many times someone’s gear broke.
did they crank up the difficulty that much?
also on a side note I got 10 agony resistance and I didn’t notice a large difference in survivability although I know there should be and such.

so I came across this in a few threads linking me to the original.
I msged them in game for an invite and sent mail, but no one ever got back to me.
last time it claimed to have 200+ and ranks based rounded to every 10th.
can anyone confirm this guild actually exists or how to get in? thanks!

this sounds like a matching making system. would be great for fractals.
I love this idea personally.
the loot should be at your fractal level and you’re still expected to pull your own weight.
obviously you can’t do 10 levels above you, but let’s say you do 2 levels above you or something. something reasonable for scaling. for under level 10 this is a great idea. for over level 10 I think for for the grinding it should be ok with the as now requirement.
but you will get a fractal level up for your hard work. I don’t mind that at all! it would make it more fun with the dungeons before fractals came out.
likewise might I suggest another. If you are level 10 and you do help people do 10 level 1s you progress to 11. the loot will be level 10 while the scale is level 1. so if it’s the other way around you still also gain something.
this would mean the level would be dependent on the party leader for this system to work though.

it’s more difficult with pugs for coordination, even if they’ve done it before. it’s doable but could be more frustrating and sometimes you might fail.
unfortunately I can’t give any sympathy there for the 3-man issue. a lot of dungeons have a 5-man requirement.
it’s more of the disconnect issue plaguing the fractals than the difficulty imo. that is a huge annoying issue.
you could have all unequipped and reset if the 4th person was dead perhaps? even if he falls though and dies a full reset should be possible.

it’s just with fractals this is useful. before fractals a “lfg” would be just fine.
fractals are just so darn specific.
a fix is to place the character back in the fractal and not allow him to repair/etc without quitting the party and not being able to come back at all with a warning dialogue of ‘do you really want to quit?’
this will make the other party members know this player’s true nature. it will also allow dedicated players to reconnect back into the fractal.
I can’t speak for everyone else, but I sometimes play with pugs the first time to “test” my connection as I don’t want to let my guildies down.
it’s because the credits are tied together. if the dungeons could be done 3 times separately people would be way less upset about this issue as fractals are fairly short dungeons under 30 minutes if you know what you’re doing.
no one disconnects on purpose. a lot of us are on good connections, but sometimes you get the occasional timeout. it happens to the best and worst of us. even with a good ISP or fiberwire or whatnot. you can’t really be mad at the player in my opinion. they did not want to disconnect I am sure.
it’s just tremendously frustrating when you’re on your third fractal and someone crashes or disconnects and you have to start all over again with finding a 5 man group at your level which can take another 30 minutes. it’s a good 2 hours of your life just wasted.

one trick to reset it a few times if the points are far away. usually does the trick.
I find the underwater one far more annoying – the part where you have to run though the dark and the dark ink or whatnot in the water instant kills you. very annoying.
also the dredge final boss can be annoying with pugs if there is a lack of coordination on the pouring/pulling.
the statue one is somewhat annoying but doable as long as you have a few good jumpers. admittedly I am not one of them.

I think it’s a issue beyond that. even if you are playing with guildies, one person disconnects on 3 and you’re obligated to disconnect and restart. it is bad implementation because you have to do 3 fractals in a row to progress.
If you could do each one separately like a credit, then I think people would complain far less.
(I had a issue with a disconnect running level 4 today as well. we couldn’t beat the final dungeon due to the lack of DPS and someone’s gear broke completely. )
I request either you fix the disconnect issue with the fractals or simply allow us to do fractals 1 at a time for credit instead of 3.
not being able to join your team due to a ISP or game crashing issue should not be penalized. thank you.
