I know I’m potentially opening myself up to intense ridicule with this post, but can we please, please, please have a different (PvP maybe?) way to obtain the Gift of Battle? I’m sorry, but I hate WvW with an intense burning passion, and making me play WvW to get this necessary item for legendary crafting only intensifies my hatred. It wasn’t so bad when you could buy it for, I think it was 500 Badges of Honor, but this reward track nonsense is just oppressively horrible. I don’t like WvW, I don’t like the people who WvW and attack all of us who are forced into a game mode we have no interest in.

It very much depends on what time you wanna fight in. During NA you can join YB, FA, TC, or even NSP for good fights. EU is more of the populated servers like BG or GQ. I personally play on NA and love my server because of the guild I’m in. Find a nice guild to join then move to their server
we were having fun -.- (i wasn’t one of the 10 but i was on TS at the time) and no we didn’t want to contest the waypoint… They just had a bet who ever can live the longest
WvW is already so extreme infested by tons of cheap hackers, it becomes day per day harder to realize, what is still “normal” there, and what not …
Today I found also again some hackers for sure, playing Eles using some kind of Speed Hack as when I fought agaisnt them, they had no Quickness, but where somehow able to spam like half a dozen skills of different elements within like 1 seconds… among them that real long lasting earth skill, that takes some seconds to charge, before the big burst damage comes that hits with a heavy 8 stacks of bleedign also too
and hhose else i fought today agaisnt manage to perform that skill in 1 second, instant burst basically while performign at the same time that fire rush skillwhich got buffed the last tiem and works now for them also like an evade PLUS naturally performing at the same tiem before of that a RTL and that other air skill that launches
When I see these kind of massive overpowered skill spams, agaisnt that is the thief laughable, cause we have a LIMITED ressource… but these ttoal op eles can rince and repeat cycle through their elements and keep on spamming their skills like crazy while having at all times super high damage, self regen and if well played at nearly no damage, beforeyou lie already dead on the ground full with bleedings, burning, chill, blinds, cripples and what not all…
god hate these fricking op bunkers like nothing else xD

to OP, most of the staff you said aside from #1 is easily possible.
could just been a sigil or rune that summons a per (now shows ur guild next to it)
well zerg fights are acaully require skill if numbers are matched (take or give 5 people). and havoc groups are suppose to run from zergs and kill roamers. you were acaully doing your job right. But it does all depend what tier server you are in.
i really like the idea BUT… i dont like that sos and jq are on the same team… i see what you did but i think still needs a little tweaking. overall great interesting plan. maybe make the servers within a team cheaper to transfer while changing teams really expensive.
Ties are broken by Glicko, so there really are no ties.
I was under the impression that Season 1 allowed ties at the end (at least in terms of the rewards) and that this season would be the same. Did they say otherwise somewhere (makes a HUGE difference in terms of the reward tickets).
A number of other players have confirmed the Glicko tiebreaker (maybe from the dev streams?). That said, it’d be nice to get an official response.

Won’t happen.
The rest of the matchups for IoJ will be: YB/IoJ /NSP and SBI/IoJ/CD. These matches have already happened (YB/IoJ/NSP twice). Similarly FA’s future matches have already happened: HoD/FA/SBI and HoD/FA/YB.
Just because a mach up has happened doesn’t mean the results won’t change. YB/IoJ/NSP was extremely close the first time, and that was with IoJ getting effectively doubleteamed.
It’s tough to predict how seasons will end because until the final couple of weeks, there’s absolutely no incentive for servers to push their hardest. It doesn’t matter if IoJ or YB wins this week because only the final week will determine who places higher.

depend on what time of play, what tier and what focus(defense, wagon, GvG). Ill say that Yaks Bend is really friendly and will work well for if you like defense and GvG. If you want to just stomp over with numbers then HoD is your play style. If you like smaller servers BP and NSP are kinda nice. IoJ can pull out some stuff during week days as well.

Hmm what you could do is a new upgrade, where you cant hop maxed walls. And make them so slow then you would mostly use them for defense ( i was thinking building siege on it tbh.) and balista from the air with arrow carts and maybe 1 omega… easy defence
I would honestly check out YB (Yaks Band), NSP or IoJ(Isle of Janthir) for roaming. I’m bias but YB is really fun to roam in a 7-11 man group and snipe a 30 man zerg because of proper siege.
Yaks bend probably has the nicest WvW population almond the “more try hard” servers in NA. Even though Yaks try-hard every week we are still relaxed. Also as a new commander people around me try to help and teach rather then blame me for killing a 10 man zerg to 25 (in my defense we did take the camp and killed 5 of them)
Yak is a great server. Really chill and filled with arrow carts and supply traps. I don’t think i saw a single commander mad at his group when we die (not very often).
hmm very close matches… i cant blame SBI if they don’t want to allied with DB.
YB should win assuming there aren’t an alliance between the other two but if there is we might lose. everything can change over a week.

That is really unfortunate result, but the bonehead who started it probably should have thought of that possible outcome before he started.
I don’t know if this guy was well known and of a prominent guild (think he was wearing such a tag) but when things like this happened long ago on YB, with the orbs and such, our WvW and guild leaders quickly acted to punish and correct them. If that could’ve have happened here, SBI policing their own, maybe it wouldn’t have escalated.
All you had to is put up defensive sieges quicker than they can build. It’s not hard instead of watching them take all your supplies.
Then why did it happen to your server as well?

All I see from your post is QQ’ing and trying to validate reasons why SBI lost. Get over it.

lets be honest, at first it wasn’t a 2v1 at all…. YB just took the lead with every world been que’d for 3 days… we attacked both EB and SBI…
later however we found out that it is in our best interest help EB. which would increase our odds of getting second….

I will say that for us on SBI this week…..my god this was the worst case of player sabotage I have EVER seen or can remember. This was multiple people, dedicated with one goal: to ensure our keeps had zero supplies. And at least one of them I talked to, I actually got a response, and he admitted he was doing it on purpose. I will not post the screenshot as that could be against forum rules, but I will say all the signs were there as well. It was an up-level character, and his achieve points was less than 100. So he was using the age old tactic of deleting his character(s) to be able to transfer for free to a new server. Then had all his siege mailed to him, probably from his main. These sabotages built junk siege everywhere, and ordered worthless upgrades to our keeps and even towers, ensuring that our upgrades never finished and we had zero supplies in them.
I can not remember it ever being this bad before.
Now the obvious 2v1 alliance of Yak’s Bend and E Bay….well that’s a different story.
i agree that cheating sucks. i think the accounts that cheated should be ban from WvW or ArenaNet. But the first few days i didnt see any cheating… might been just me
In a past matchup, we had a [FoW] warrior commander constantly getting into our spawn and killing golems in our spawn. You didn’t see us sending people to your server to do the same. It sucked, we moved on, and dealt with it. But good ol’ Yaks Bend, decides to justify sending someone right back at you to “even the score”.

I do not like griefing, no matter who does it. But be so kind as not to accuse an entire server of cheating, or use it as an excuse for losing.
You lose this week because YB got better tactics, better strategy, and after some days, better coverage too. You expected an easy win, and lost players after it became obvious it would not be like that.
We are not in an alliance with Ebay, but both them and us do focus you – ask yourself why. Biggest threat together with being one of the, how shall i put it, less well liked servers are the reasons.
You aren’t used to lose to a server lower ranked than you and that hurts your pride – it shouldn’t, but that is symptomatic for why other Silver League servers cheer for YB. Instead of looking for excuses you could contemplate on why you are losing this week and try to work on deficiencies.
That and a change of attitude from your Forum Warriors. Don’t take things too seriously, it IS only a game after all.
Oh, and building a Ballista to attack a gate is not a smart idea. Just telling.
