I don’t think it is necessary but just makes the dungeon go faster and easier. I believe everyone has to use melee weapons or the spider will cast the poision and wipe the party but a Guard should be able to mitigate the damage.

Pretty inconsiderate of him, I always make sure the party gets the rewards before I completely leave the group.

This should not happen to begin with though.

I always felt that the issue was that there are too many bosses in the HoTW paths. The boss fights are really easy though. The Jormag comparison is a bit of an exaggeration lol :P

Having said that, I don’t think there is any change needed though.

No advice can really be given, it is just gambling and depends on luck.

The poster above got a precursor today on the first try ever, others didn’t get anything even after throwing 1000 rares.

My advice to you is that since you don’t have a lot of gold, it would be best to sell it!

Just out of curiosity, what is everyone in game age? I feel like I am a casual gamer but some how racked up 900 hours in 8 months xD

Totally agree! Even with the new Dragon Bash content next week, it seems the Jade weapons are only attainable from tickets… I never have been a gambling man so I wouldn’t mind earning it through tasks or straight out buying the weapon.

This thread has been mentioned before but in relation to Dailies which is more understandable. You did have about 30 days to complete 4 tasks for the Monthly.. Don’t leave things to the last minute :P

I don’t see how a cape can make the game more fun, It would most likely be an aesthetic add on like a back piece, it won’t change a game that is already boring to you.

Congrats on the gold, a massive feat nevertheless. I do agree that there isn’t much stuff to buy in GW2 but you got to earn the other things.

GW1 – Monk, loved supporting, especially in PVP.
GW2 – Guardian, was kind of the closest profession to a Monk.

I wish they change this.. It is pretty lame to purchase a T3 at 119G to only transmute to an Exotic. Personally, getting 119G isn’t really easy, it is probably harder / longer then some dungeons armors.

Thanks for your opinions and experiences. I have taken all of them in consideration. Congratulations to those who have Legendaries, a big achievement never the less and good luck to those going for it!

I have decided to get a Sunrise! It looks best in my opinion and suits my Guardian. I will passively pursue it though, storing whatever I get into my bank, no crazy spending. I will probably have it at the end of year but no rush.

I would like this Race Change too and I like the idea of having the story reset without quest rewards obviously. It should just be like creating a new character in the creation menu, except it is LVL80 instead of starting as LVL1

Recently I got this desire to get a Legendary for fun but I go back and forth on the idea, like it sounds exciting and challenging but is the time spent on it, worth it?

I would like the know from anyone that has or is trying to get a Legendary, what really made you to try/get a Legendary? Or what turn you off from it?
Did anyone give up? Why?
What was the hardest part?
How did you feel when you did finally get it?
How long did it take?
Would you go for another? One is definitely enough for me LOL.

Between Necromancer and Mesmer, I would say that Mesmer is more suited to your play style.

The TP UI is in fact shocking. Considering how polished the rest of the game is its a wonder that its in the state it is.

Rangers, necromancers and engineers are not ‘polished’.

But that’s a story for another time.

I agree with you all the way, OP. Precursors and legendaries should be something you work for, not something you get lucky for or have your trading post baron friend give you 900g for.

Tested it and it doesn’t work, not the way everyone wants to at least, clicking the item again simply closes the transactions menu, it does not go back to the previous page like “my transactions” for example, and thats the thing he mentioned in the opening post, wanting to go back to buy and sell list.

Yeah sorry if I wasn’t clear but that is what I meant, especially if you play with the TP, it becomes quite annoying going back to the transactions page after viewing individual items but yeah, there is heaps of room for improvement.

Firstly, I just want to state that I love this game and haven’t played any game since last November. However, I do have a few suggestions in which I feel make the game a bit better.

1. Having precursors attainable by Laurels, even if we need about 300-400, obviously account bound.

2. Having a back button on the trading post. It is a bit annoying when I am viewing my buy list and select and item to view, there should a way for me to go back to my buy list.

3. Can’t FoTM weapons and Fused Weapons be sold/bought? A lot of players have to gamble through chests to get the weapons, which can be quite horrible… I would rather straight out buy from a seller that doesn’t want it or trade in Pristine fractal etc. The way you did SAB was great, any chest skins could be sold, while weapons bought with Baubles are account bound.

4. Having Legendaries only account bound. Why are FoTM/Fused weapons account bound but Legedaries are not?

5. Sometimes I disconnected when I am in my personal story quest, being to reconnect like GW1 will be great especially the 60+ stories.

6. Tier 3 cultural armor should be exotics in stats/defense. The 119 gold needed to buy the armor, which isn’t a simple feat and can be harder / longer than some dungeon armors.

I just actually had this bug.. I thought I was losing my mind but I knew I definitely had little gold in there. What I did was removed an item I was buying and the correct gold was there..
