lol, had this the other day on Kylo, I was holding close point and a ranger pops up and starts attacking me.
Quick call in team chat, surprisingly for a soloq game, someone comes and we kill him.
15 seconds later same things happens, this time the ranger whispers me “ kitten just 1v1 me you *&$£”
Some people really need to learn the sum of the match is greater than the individual!
They need to do these things before they should even think thier job is valid at anet.
- Fix the supposid ‘skill’ matchup system
- Display ranking point and a +/- of match results
- Need minimum rank to enter tpvp match
- Separate solo and premade (teams of 3 and up are premade)
- Have prioritised que for 5v5 man premade
- Give us the option to que with premades to fill the 1 or 2 spots left
- Have an option to report people for leaving/idle
- Have an option to report bad player in solo que
- Keep everyone’s name in the scoreboard, just grey out leavers so that we can report them
- Replace leavers with another player
- Make it so leavers cant join another instance in GW2 till that match is over, also invoke an instant loss and next tpvp match a loss to thier rating even if they win

MMR loss penalties don’t hurt the type of player that is leaving, that’s the point, I suspect the type of player that’s leaving does not know/care about the rating system and does not care if the team win or lose.
Basically they need to implement a system that restricts this type of player from entering tpvp while allowing for disconnects and crashes.
5 minutes to reconnect else a 1 day ban would fix this I think?
Seriously, please do something about people quitting mid way through a tpvp match.
Okay so they get a rating drop, to be honest I don’t think they care!
The only people that pay the price is the 3 or 4 team mates that are left to try and salvage what’s left and it normally ends in loss.
Some suggestions:
tpvp minimum rank 10.
If you leave a tpvp match before the end you get a 1 day ban from re queue, if you get disconnected or crash, you get 5 minutes to re-enter the game or the same ban applies.
If you get 3 bans you lose 10 ranks.
Oh make it like Counterstrike you mean?
Give it in, no one wants Death Match, there is absolutely no skill in zerging around killing people. Hopefully 8v8 hotjoin will disappear completely and be replaced with something that forces team play.

If I remember rightly, in that patch Engineers received nerfs to Kit Refinement and 100nades and a buff to turrets!
So what has changed? I don’t see a single turret in the HGH build?

I talked to Hammon in game who is a dev and he said HGH is getting nerfed. Gadgets are not being worked on at the moment and basically nothing else lol.
And that’s the sad joke, HGH is nothing new, its not some amazing new spec because of a buff last patch.
If they really nerf HGH instead of addressing might stacking runes which are the real problem, it proves this game is balanced around forum whiners, as has been said, Ele’s have been OP for months, they still are, a decent Thief or Mesmer will eat a HGH Engi for breakfast.

Slick shoes CD can also reduced with trait III in the tools trait line to 48 secs, which also reduces the CD of the tool belt skill a little.
Its not half bad to be honest, If they made it a stun breaker I’d use it all the time, imagine it, breaks stun , blinds and makes your attacker fall over… mint!
Don’t think so it has it’s own unique icon that I’ve not seen used on anything else, don’t even think its a boon?

They are not suppose to be spammed in Spvp , they are used for damage AND utility, no one uses grenade 1 much anyway.
If you find the other 4 grenades are on CD then you should be back in pistols or rifle setting up your next attacks.

The “Double Speed” Buff on the tool belt skill is double speed regardless of combat, slows etc.
It means even in combat you run faster than swiftness and (shhhh don’t tell anyone) you can carry the orb faster in Spirit Watch.

I agree there have been some whines, mostly about kit refinement and 100nades which on reflection I think Anet considered bugs, much like the double pop on FT 2.
If you feel underpowered as an engineer, then the problem lies with you. It just isn’t the profession for you. Because there is nothing inherently weak with the profession. It has a high learning curve and it requires a person that can put out a high amount of actions per minute.
Feel free to provide constructive criticism and suggestions, but please, stop your kittening whining.

Who is whining? Someone made a comment saying landing grenades effectively was ezmode, I and others simply disagree, I too have thousands of games on Engi and love it, quite simply it’s not as easy as people make out, to be honest I like it that way!

Skill cap of facerolling HGH condi gren is extremely low. I blame exactly it for massive engi spawn.
Probably the most ridiculous statement made on the Engi forums to date, you probably mean hotjoin, any decent player will just move out of the way of the incredibly slow moving blobs unless they are point blank!
As has been said, its likely people are bored of cheese and fancy trying something new, they won’t last long when they realise the skill cap is higher than spamming 222222
My build focuses on crit power and conditions, stacking might gives you condition and power damage.
you get roughly around 57% chance to crit, 2800-3000 power and 1100-1400 conditions depending on how many stack of might you have up.
As I said sadly its nowhere near the damage grenades can do which is a shame.

The damage output is still nowhere near the grenade build but the knock back and blinds are good, seems to work fine in hotjoin but you’ll struggle in tpvp against a half decent player.
I think enemy CDs would be a bit overkill but would love to see something for traits like Kit Refinement for the engi, that would at least make it less RNG.

The stun breaker on Elixir U made me laugh the most and realise they have really lost the plot, because you would only be able to take this as a secondary stun breaker.
As was said above you use your primary stun breaker as you are about to take a kitten ton of damage, why the hell would you make their life easily by taking double damage or limiting your dodge – Useless!
If they had to pick an Elixir for a stun breaker why not B or C at least it would have been useful!

I think it means that if the enemy has over 100% duration stacked with traits, sigils, you are immune to conditions from that enemy.
If however the enemy has only 100% condition duration or say 99% you are not – that’s how it reads?
Used to read “Automated Response: Become immune to conditions when health is below 25%”
Either way its a nerf I think?

Nice to get some changes but really what did we gain?
Buffed Turrets – Great but they are still static and useless I think, unless you take all 3, shoehorning you into a turret only build.
Kit Refinement – I thought they were supposed to be removing (or lessening) Engineer RNG surely on a 20 second cool down and no way of knowing when its going to proc next, they have increased it? As someone else said in another thread, Engineers switch in and out of kits throughout the fight, are we suppose to wait 20 seconds per switch?

I’d love to be able to run a p/p condition build and have the ability to switch to p/s when confronted by melee or switch to rifle for some control, with the weakened state of our current weapons and without buff to them, I can’t see how that would be overpowered?
I’m probably the only thief who shortbows as much as I do, but thieves put out the highest consistent ranged damage in the game. Poison is the most important condition for pressuring an opposing team, and cluster/trickshot hit multiple targets.
This I agree with 100% and it’s wrong, so wrong….
I don’t think Thieves are exactly in the right place at the moment, why should they put out so much ranged damage and still have the ability to step in finish and stealth out.
They are not a ranged class so why should they be able to out damage a ranged class?
Speaking from experience I believe there needs to be some trait fixes or tweaks to non bunker Engi’s survivability, or fix toughness as it seems useless!

Fix the Med Kit 4 ability so it actually cures ALL conditions, we still have to select the kit and drop the bottle and pick it up, is that not penalty enough!
Cure 2 conditions and I would be happy too.
Anything more than one would be better I agree, other professions have far superior condition removal on a lower CD.

Without a heavy elixir build or Elixir C we have terrible condition removal and the healing turret has far too long a cool down on Cleansing Burst to be used as an alternative.
15% damage buff across all skills.
Pistol getting 6 second bleed as a base auto-attack. Explosion bleeds for 4 seconds.

That’s way OP, we are nearly there tbh, just need a few trait and skill tweaks, I’d prefer that to buffing us to the moon and have every man and his dog playing Engi because it’s the new Mesmer.
Our damage is fine.

Make all elixirs stun breakers, all Elementalists Cantrips are stun breakers.
Change current Tool Belt skills of Elixirs to:
Elixir S – Stability
Elixir C – Invisibility
Remove the RNG!
Elementalists have 5 stun breakers we have 4 so:
1. Make Slick Shoes break stun, and reduce the base cool down from 60 to 48 seconds
2. Change the tool belt skill of slick shoes to a small Fire Blast effect but when used in conjunction with the oil slick, it ignites it turning it into a fire field – the run buff is a pretty long cool down lump of uselessness!

I hear tickets were hard to get.
It wasn’t that tickets were hard to get but tickets seem to discourage the hotjoin generation because they had to actually pay out and would have the chance at losing, the loss actually meant something. Without tickets losing has no consequences so why try?
I agree with Mosharn, I am 38 now and still end up with < rank 10s, does the hidden rank even work?
I give up, I’ve tried believe me, tpvp used to be fun when it was tickets, I honestly think it kept the hotjoin heroes away because it was tickets.
Tpvp soloq is now just an extension of hotjoin you get crap pvp with teams with burst builds zerging around the points.
Game over for me I’m afraid, and yes you can have my stuff.
