Watch closely as the intelligent points are skirted around and the problems specifically mentioned here are made worse. So far I haven’t seen a single fix that didn’t feel like a teenagers response to criticism. It doesn’t get better, it gets awkward. Then they just storm out of the room to program whatever they feel like instead of balancing like they were supposed to.
So far none of the news is good and I weep for future guardians. We wont survive nearly as much as the dps classes. Not that we survived before. -.-
We do need guild halls. We need mounts too but nobody at Arenanet cares what players want. They just listen to forum trolls.
I am frustrated with the way they portrayed lesbians and the fact that there aren’t any non-homosexual relationships just makes it worse. The story so far gives off a glow of, ‘how can we make this more controversial to the mainstream audience’ and also seems to emphasize the fact that Arenanet is biased against non-homosexuals. We get it, your gay, we don’t really care and we don’t need to see your fantasies on our screens. They have the right to putt whatever they want up there, but the fact that they most notably putt up lipstick lesbians made it hard to appreciate their love story in the first place. Let alone the fact that I didn’t give 2 shakes of a broken compass about Marjary and her companion at all. That isn’t a pair of any lesbians I’ve ever met and not using characters from the story made the whole living world relationship pointless. It was poorly structured and although their kiss at the end could have been a great aspect of the story, I feel that the poorly done animation on the part of Marjory’s underling made it difficult to believe she even cared. Someone in the animation and story departments has been watching too much television.
Ah! So its a Krait event with a teaser XD. Cool thanks guys!
Maybe this came up 100 times maybe it came up once, searching I could not find a reference in the forum nor Google.
Viathan Lake has a huge force field over it. I took some pictures in case it was a glitch, but I get the slightest idea that it might be intentional. Either way I couldn’t find a reference to it anywhere.
Anyone know what the force field is all about?
Achievement points, I lost a TON of achievement points.
So I logged in not but 3 days ago and found I had significantly less achievement points. I am missing around 6,000 points. I don’t know how or why it happened, but it did happen sometime AFTER the laurel thing got added. Were these points supposed to be exchanged or did they simply vanish?
I’d have a different take on the perceived personalities.
Mesmers remind me more of a particular character from batman. (insane)
Elementalists remind me more of snarky college students with no grasp on what goes on around them.
Warriors remind me of body builders with no real advantage and a lack of overall brainpower.
Guardians remind me of the Christians(any kind really), awkwardly resilient.
Engineers just remind me of those guys who sit at their desks with no personality or practical application to speak of.
Thieves remind me of those jerks in school who always pull something stupid to get everyone else punished and never really seem to take the blame for it.
Hunters remind me of those weird nature freaks you see on T.V. who don’t seem to be in touch with reality at all and somehow (or magically) fire hundreds of arrows from no where.
However, the personalities expressed in the characters will be seen differently by each person, however similar they may seem.
Lost 6,000 points in the update. No idea why, maybe they took out all the achievements I got. The fact remains though, I was not compensated for the points I lost in the update and I feel as though this whole game has become an even bigger waste of time than it was to start with.
It is embarrassing to go to a lower level area and not have any advantage at all. Those fancy armors and items I spent all my time getting are completely useless and purely cosmetic as soon as I get scaled. Not to mention the fact that the “high level” areas are a pointless zombie fest. I just wasted my time leveling when I could have made a bunch of level ones with the same stats as my level 80. You may as well play a Facebook game, at least then you’ll feel like you’ve accomplished something.
Like a mail timer or an ARE YOU SURE button. Personally, I would like to be able to right click someone or just their name and have a “mail to” option.
A built in music making feature would be nice.
Many, many games already have housing. I do believe it was hinted that such upgrades are in the future of GW2 along with many other projects to make things more expansive and to increase the feeling of ownership among the players. Don’t quote me on that though, I was one of the few who thought the weapon system was perfect the way it was so I’ve been wrong before. All heil Anet supreme ruler of earth.
I believe that the real problem lies with the severe scaling punishments enacted on players. I blame scaling for a lot so this goes in the scaling sack.
I completely agree with the original post.
Maybe check your graphics card control panel, make sure sampling is enabled, cause the only reason I can think of that "native wouldn’t work is if you don’t have any default sampling.
It isn’t the drivers, happens occasionally with NVidia as well regardless of the advanced beta drivers loaded. Its a game bug what needs fixing and such.
If you are looking for actual effective processing power try an Intel Xeon 6-core and replacing your AMD cards with NVidia, mostly because those are the ones I’ve seen actually handling the large battles without killing the resources.
Personally, I’ve had no fps problems with a dual-core, Intel and AMD dual cores even at 2Ghz run well, I would however suggest that you upgrade your graphics card significantly. Maybe if you don’t like NVidia try the Radeon 6970. (Anything less than a 6970 and you shouldn’t be complaining because you CHOSE to run it on those lesser cards.)
Seriously though, I don’t know why people are having problems with dual-cores. Mine runs just fine regardless of how many hundreds of people are “zerging”. Then again, I run an Intel Core 2 duo CPU and an NVidia GTX 480. WITH THAT SYSTEM I HAVE NO TROUBLE SO NO QUAD CORE ENTHUSIAST TROLLING
No overclocks were considered in my post whatsoever. You are better than that and you know it.
The strange part about this glitch is that when I turned my windows sound quality to 24bit 192k Hz AND the sound quality to high in game it went away completely regardless of the “zerg” size. Also, I tried the same settings on another computer with opposite results. The sound quality and everything on high made the alarm star with the game.
HOWEVER, it has not once crashed on me after the sound thing. That, and acknowledging that IT IS AN ALARM may help you to decide whether or not to turn the game off right away when it happens.

Maybe its all those information gathering utilities. Ether way even with the high end graphics cards you’ll still have trouble with dual screening during GW2. I’ve had any number of PCs go broke trying to supply the resources necessary even when they only had a 1024 on the second screen. (SLI machines as well as single card.)
