One thing i’ve always been curious about in this area is the asura stuff in the top floor of one of the houses. Seems rather out of place to me.

Lately in the living story I’ve been finding it really hard to follow the story. The game has gotten way too metaphysical with these made up concepts of dragon energy and leylines.
Just a suggestion to simplify things a bit.
Consider these examples:
“The alaronical actuator in the right tread of the T95-82 battle tank has a weak carbide structure!”
“Shoot the right tread on the tank!”
If you need some extra guidance, Woodenpotatoes has a great Youtube channel with multiple videos on every living story Ep. Just some food for thought.
Honestly this would probably be a great build to start out with for fractals. As you work your way up to T4 fractals having a less punishing build will let you understand the mechanics.
Finally! Love the new additions, been waiting patiently for something like this!
Kudos to you A net!
In all fairness I always thought legendaries were supposed to show you mastered all of the content in the game. With that in mind, crafting legendaries at the start of the game was a lot more interesting than it is now when you actually did have to play all of the content available. So let’s not try to make the new legendary items another checked box that everyone can obtain, because that really ruins the point of them being legendary.

Well judging by the fact that I would consider GW2 a MMORPG, i’m just really surprised at the sheer amount of people actually upset about lore being put in this weeks blog post instead of the other features. If you think about it they did bring up one of the masteries in this blog since interacting with the Itzel will be part of Master Lore. As was said before, to each their own but dang this blog was really interesting if you ask me.
A year after coming out guildwars released a decent expansion, and 6 months later, they released another one. Were 2 years in now and we have barely gotten enough stuff to make up 1 expansion’s worth of stuff. This is the main reason I feel people are getting antsy or even sick of the snails pace this game is going in. Just makes me wonder why they are struggling so much to make content/what they are doing that has made them put the blinders on to so many area’s of the game for so long.
100% true, but it ignores the fact that Guild Wars 2 at launch had content than Guild Wars 1 did, all up.
Yes that is true, let’s say the starting content counted for the first 2 expansions. Even then going off the timeframe of Anet’s past guildwars project, we should have gotten at least an expansions worth of content within a year to a year and a half later. I still play the game, Just saying I would have thought they would capitalize more on a buyable expansion closer to release. I just want this game to be something I find a little bit harder to set down is all.
Edit: Just thought I would say, I too spent a good portion of time today shooting presents at people in populated maps. :P

If the games dungeon’s weren’t about bringing X boss to X wall to stack and kill it, FGS wouldn’t be a thing in the first place.
The thing thats more concerning is why bosses are able to be pulled into to corners or knocked into corners. Making Bosses not just another mob in a dungeon and actually a boss (which in almost every MMO i’ve ever played this is the first that bosses are so easily manipulated) that controls how the fight goes. For example the Shadow of the dragon fight in the recent LS update, i enjoyed this fight much more than most because the boss controlled how the fight went, instead of your group. I’m an Ele and the real concern isn’t FGS but the stupidity of the bosses we fight.
Just reiterating my point of its not the FGS its how bosses are not actually bosses

uh…. I use hammer/gs currently and really feel hammer is in a good spot.
There is already a merchant. It is where the amulet vendor used to be.
As for a bank. It would be nice, but they would have to change around how you enter the Heart of the Mists then. If they just added a bank to the hotm, then everyone would always just free port to hotm to bank then free port back to where they were in pve. That would be bad.
you can do that in WvW…?
for pvp the current build im using is, 0/6/6/2/0 with d/d. celestial trinket, and runes of strength. give it a go and see what you think. (tempest defense and stone heart for GM’s)
Post patch ele seems barely better than previous patch from my point of view. (sPvP) was able to 1v1 and come out on top majority of the time and occasionally winning 1v2’s if playing at my best. D/F build btw.
Examples? Not in-game at the moment so can’t check
nevermind it, got confirmation that i just am ignorant.
Just thought i would toss my ele on here.
head: not shown (obviously)
shoulders: human t3
chest: HotW token chest
gloves: HotW token gloves
legs: CoE token legs
boots: HotW token boots
It’d be nice to see some cool back items that aren’t luck based.
Agreed.
Not sure if this has been covered. But in any case, i would love to get some cultural back pieces for each race. The back pieces would be available only to the race you chose, and there would be a kitten, t3 for each race, effectively giving us 3 unique back pieces customized for each race. Anyways, not sure what they could be but thats what you guys and your brilliant imaginations are for.
My examples
Charr
-warband
Sylvari
-stuff to do with the pale tree?
Human
-not sure yet, since no capes
asura
-infinities balls, and such. maybe some kind of invention?
Thats about as far as i got, anyways thanks for the read!
Well I mean if you have been playing the game since release, you can obviously tell that it is kind of declining sadly. (not a huge decline, but decline none the less) Plus it is true the game really lacks in the end game department. I have gotten my legendary and desired skins for 4 80’s, and now I’m left with completing my daily and getting 75% of the LS easily done in the first day. (probably 5 hours of gameplay max). Then completing the harder ones or over time ones by logging on for 20 minutes a day if that until the next LS update comes out. At this point any addition too the actual end game would be pleasant, instead of the easily completed living story monthly. I would say I am a casual player by the way.
I just thought I would throw my two cents in… But the only problem with stealth is how often your are able to enter it consecutively, which could be limited by taking that ability away from an always available skill and putting it on a utility. (but then what would the CD be?) then that brings up another problem. If you take basically a classes only defense against another profession(which is what everyone is asking for by taking away stealth from thieves), what do you buff/replace it with? So instead of getting all upset and fighting on a forum about how it needs to be nerfed (because all this ever is, is a back and forth saying the same thing to each other just re worded). Do something constructive and think of something to actually buff thieves counter ability, or mobility once their one defense is taken one. Or any aspect to make them more useful in other areas other then burst dps.
P.S. I play a Scepter Ele as well, and don’t find thieves to be as bad as everyone makes them out to be.
Actually, I share this feeling with you my friend. Every time I run CoE P1, the Mark T-B34RC3 advanced golem cant help but only target me. Even by standing behind a wall it still tried to target me. But this is also only limited to this dungeon, I’ve never had this happen anywhere else
I don’t understand the argument over this…
It’s not like it’s actually going to be taken into consideration…
