Re: invuln. yeah. It’s dumb. Downed state + stomping has never been balanced and probably never will be. On the other hand, they are burning a long-cooldown skill to get that invuln.
Re: Stability – it does work that way now. Use enough cc’s to deplete your opponent’s stab stacks. Then cc them. Alternatively, corrupt/steal/remove the boon first.
Downed abilities are pretty hilarious, you got thieves who can jump to different locations and stealth themselves, necros can steal health and put death shrouds, warriors can get back up and potentially kill more ppl before they die, Rangers can have their pets come and heal them, Engineers….we throw pieces of junk at you and grappling line our enemies to our corpse for easy spiking.
I have been playing healbot elementalist since season 1, so i am tired of it.
In the last season i changed my build for Fresh Air, and practise in the off season time and WvW roam.
Yesterday i did my 10 clasification arenas, 7/3, and placed my in Gold3.
Today i played 3 more arenas, 3 loses, it does not matter to me, i do not want to obtain money for sPvP, or be the god of pvp.
But when i said to my team; i do not have the support build, they started the harrasment. Useless ele, play the proper build, learn to play, kill yourself, etc.
So, i reported the player that insulted me, i keep going, playing and trying to have fun. But i found him/her again in the next arena, an the cicle started all over again.
I understand this is a competitve mode, but that is not an excuse to be a complete toxic player. It is just a game, after all.
Does the report option means something? Or, if i ignore one player, the system can put us together in the same team?

Reporting in this game does nothing unless it involves one of Anet’s golden shower children. Make a toon called Naru is a Cheater, they will make you change it. Make a toon called HighStoned, or Howiefeltersnatch, they won’t care.

After a good placement (gold T3) I found myself on a losing streak (20 or 36 pts per match) till I figured out I had 2 guys making placement in my team still lost like 35 pts.

So now I’m playing as I want since I lost the faith in this system and hopes to get to the top. I have like other 6 chars, only know how to play with one but who cares. why learn in unranked when you can learn with the “pros”

Well Nos is back doing what he and the rest of the goon squad does, match manipulate with smurfs, win trading, bribing etc. Even Naru is on there I’m sure he’s just using an alt account because everyone knows how much of cheater he was last season. Basically it’s BS, everyone should reset in a new season regardless where you place. But Anet are cheater apologists, so do not expect that ever.
I’m looking forward to the release of AO next month, hopefully the next expansion in this game will turn out better then what HoT was. However, I am not holding my breath.
It’s been happening for about a week now. I can’t comment about it happening in PvE content, but in SPvP sometimes I am unable to use my function gyro at all it’s greyed out like I can’t use it. I know there’ s a cool down of 20 seconds. However I’m 100% certain that I never used it yet as it was the start of the match. I cannot use it to rez my allies or use a finishing move on downed enemies. Furthermore, because of this I can’t even res or spike them without the gyro either, so I’m left cleaving downed enemies and looking like a complete moron to my downed teammates.
This has happen intermittently, around 6 times over the last week, so it’s hard to reproduce properly.
Necros are not broken, that’s just laughable, they aren’t OP either, but they are far from broken. Can I have 2 health bars, mad burst and conditions and tanky stuff? Nope, well then you don’t get anything more either.
Well Anet doesn’t really enforce reporting much unless enough report it I guess. I’ve seen some nasty names out there, and they still exist. I make a toon calling someone a cheater (which he is) and I log in one day to have to change it to something else. Then you see someone named Howiefeltersnatch but that’s OK right? Anet’s logic makes little to no sense.

Hrm. When rezzing, are you clicking on your ally’s name or icon? You need to have them targeted to use the function gyro on them (I hate it, but that’s how they designed it). Same goes for finishing enemies — you need to have them targeted/selected to activate it.
Yep clicked on downed ally or enemy will not function at all. I wish a hot key target would work because it can get pretty chaotic but I’ve played Engineer since launch and scrapper since HoT launch. It’s really weird, it’s not my keyboard either I tested other hot keys and it did the same thing. It’s not all the time, it’s very intermittent, but tell that to a very kittened off group of teammates that think you’re completely incapable of playing your class because of it, and think you’re just making excuses for you being “bad”. I call it millennial logic.

If someone on your team is disconnected for 2 minutes or more, you will not incur a MMR penalty should you lose. Unless you queued as a duo with the person who disconnected, then you do lose MMR.
That’s garbage, I had a thief during placement who was disconnected until we were down 300 and he came back and we still lost the match and the placement. So stop lying.

Oh well I solo queued to Platinum after everyone telling me I’m no better then Bronze. What do I experience in Platinum? A bunch of entitled, know it all, toxic players, so really it’s nothing special at all. The players at the “top” in this game that are left are mostly complete kittenes who just talk crap and call you names and whatever it maybe. Meh, lots of games are releasing soon and I have a Nintendo Switch that should be played more so I think I will be done with this game shortly until the next expansion.

Considering they added a default build tab with stuff directly taken from MetaBattle.com, I don’t see why they couldn’t at least give us a few of our own so we can just spec on the fly. I wish sites like metabattle didn’t exist in the first place because you have all the misinformed sheeple out there that think only meta matters. They don’t clue into the fact that the metas were designed to work with the other metas, so say a Scrapper meta isn’t as effective if you have other classes that choose not to play their meta. But since ANet is not doing anything about. Don’t that make match manipulation unofficially legal? In that case shouldn’t anybody who want to beat the match manipulators at their own game. Gather a group of their own and counter the match manipulators with some match manipulation and win trading of their own.

Anet have in fact removed people from the leaderboards for violating the rules.
In general the leader-boards are mainly legitimate as well – although there is some win-trading at higher tiers.
Basically, you’re blowing a tiny problem out of proportion. Stop being salty that “cheaters” are preventing you from being where you think you deserve to be. In reality you’re bad and you’re insecure about your skill level, suck it up and move on.

You can turn it off with UI sounds, but that turns off other things too, this should be an option of it’s own. Why after 5 years add this in? That’s like putting back “The Keep is yours, KEEP IT” from beta.

Most ppl with an actual brain saw what was going on, but the white knight fanboys defended Anet to the end like they always will do.

I’m surprised no one on your team swapped to Ele Support as soon as they saw that team comp. No one to keep those necros alive, Also rifle engi isn’t strong against that comp either. What matchmaking did get right though is putting all the Dragon Hunters on the Dragon’s Despair team.

Actually there is a heavy hitting rifle spec that is good against DH, I was doing actually good in the match same with the other DH. Unfortunately the 3 teammates were just getting dropped on contact.
