[EU] LFG PVE guild

Hello folks, i’m looking mainly for a PVE guild which speed runs dungeons and fractals on daily basis. I’m playing since the release, mostly with my ele, but i’ve got a mesmer and a necro too. I used to speedrun in the past, before the 15th of april, but because of my job i did a long break until now. I would like to start again with speedruns and maybe fractals, it would be nice to find a guild who speedruns, better if after 20 CET. Because i’m working during the day, i can play only after that time, and not even everyday, at least until october. If someone wants to create a small group to speedrun dungeons or fractals, please, feel free to contact me, i would like to schedule my week with fixed events like daily speedruns or fractal runs.

Actually it works pretty darned well. The big thing when using the staff is to remember with my build you have Condition Damage AND Power. You gain a lot of power from Might Stacks, 30 points in Fire and Carrion Gear. What you don’t have is Crit and Crit damage because instead you’re focusing on Condition Damage and Condition Duration instead.

half true. while in wv3 i barely have conditions on me, even against zergs, same for my teammates. repleacing crit dmg for cond damage halves my dps imo, because the resulting damage from condition damage it’s easy to counter, while crit damage is instant, and hardly to counter. I will stick to cond damage for a while and see what it will comes out, put i’m a bit pessimistic about it.

Do you not have conditions on you because they don’t do damage/removed all the time or do you not have them on you because everyone assumes Conditions are pointless and doesn’t use them? Condition Removal and benefits like that are every bit as capped on maximum targets as any other offensive ability and when you got a giant pile of bodies fighting there are more than a few who won’t get them. I mean make no mistake, conditions will get removed. That’s a reality. I think of it more along these lines: Everything you do will end up causing conditions. Fire will burn, Earth will Bleed, Water has Chills/Vuln. This is on top of damage.

Now you can ignore them and focus entirely on Crit and Crit Damage. That’s a totally viable route. What I contend is that not ignoring them is also another perfectly viable route and in my experiences so far that’s worked out.

Here’s a vid showing my survivability when diving into the enemy. I had a video of me doing some 1v1s against various classes but upon inspection I notice I was weapon swap bugged and my auto attacks were perma hasted so it would have been a bit skewed to show haha. @6:34 you can see me go back for DEM BAGS right into the enemy force and even mess up and RTL back to the enemy (haha). @9:52 the real fun starts as we attack StoneMist. I really should have swapped to staff but I didn’t think about it till I was too late and inside and stuck engaging.

great, but i was talking about staff….s/d works well with cond damage, nothing to say…this is a bit off topic. anyway, talking about wv3 and condition damage, i think staff eles don’t benefit a lot from it like necro or ranger do. still talking about wv3 and zerg battles, i think d/d or s/d benefit more than staff users from cond damage, but d/d are more aoe than d/d, so imo d/d cond damage rocks in wv3 against 20+.

Dear JS , i understand that killing less than 20 players with double or more numbers is really exciting, but laugh because of it is dishonorable at least. My kudos to other JS guilds that tonight fought very well on sfr border without zerging, i can’t remember your tags, but when you’re not zerging and you win, you deserve all my respect.

have you actually looked at the buff’s to staff?
they are relatively insignificant, even when not compared to the massive nerf’s of the last many months, and on top of that arcane wave got another nerf, if the notes I read were accurate.

well, i didn’t even noticed arcane wave wakittenting 6 foes instead of 5, so it’s not a nerf for me at all. anyway i’m a staff user for wv3, i prefer s/d for pve, and i must admit this is the patch i was waiting for.

another great morning on elona bl. it’s sad that 30+ players hide inside keeps (other 20+ were on bay), but even sadder when you’re facing less than 15 players and you run, even if numbers are on your side. sometimes i feel like a reporter in afghanistan, but i know sooner or later i will recive the prize for best photo reporter on tyria

yes SFR zergs too. so be it, but before we go looking for the speck in our neighbour’s eye, should we not remove the plank from our own? sometimes you lose the wider picture and you see only what you want to see. from sfr pov i can tell you that usually our zergs are compounds by small guilds forced to team up, we don’t wait for big numbers to move from our camp. i noticed that elona players, like vizuna or baruch, tend to avoid open battlefield if there isn’t a 3:1 ratio. so, gl doing karma/rank farm, i hope you’re satisfied and you get soon what you’re looking for.

It wouldn’t exactly be ‘legendary’ if everyone and their mother have one. Then again, it was never legendary to begin with.

Still this other way you would feel to have achieved something to deserve it, instead of just blind farming CoF path 1 and such.

the solution is simple:
1) implement a set of daily quests for a medium-long term to obtain the precursor. this way players will have the chance to get it. should be dedication and curiosity to reward the players, not the RNG. the fact that developers don’t implement this system is disappointing, and is a symptom of laziness.
2) crafting a legendary weapon requires a legendary hero. there’s nothing legendary to farm COF p1 and buy materials to craft gift. developers may reach more goals at the same time adding new gifts necessary for the legendary weapons that will be obtainable only by participating in daily missions around Tyria. this way there would be a massive presence of players that run the maps in search of the necessary activities to their daily missions and a decline of farming.

crafting a legendary weapon should be a long term goal ,they should limit the ability to grind and diversifying the daily activities of the player, to get more interest and sense of achievement, instead of unlimited grind and frustration

precursor droprate should be revamped, that’s sure, but also crafting process should be changed. i’m trying from november to get the legend through MF but wasted around 500g. incredibly i’ve started collecting materials for the bifrost less than 3 weeks ago, today i crafted all 3 gift and i’ve spent less than 300g and i didn’t grind at all. it is weird that it is so easy to get the necessary ingredients in so little time, and that on the contrary it’s impossible to get the precursor. i believe it’s necessary a balance between the crafting process and the way a precursor could be obtained.

they’re using the gw1 politic but they miss the points that this is not gw1. ppl work hard day by day to buy max equipment and farm ascended items, now we have to change everything to be effective, and i’m not talking only about d/d bunkers. while in gw1 all you have to do is to change your skills and play differently your role. no armor, no stats, just 6 runes and you were fine again. in gw2 we have to deal with stats, different tiers of equipment and a lot of grinding to get the top stats. i started playing gw2 because anet promised there won’t be grind, i believed it was true because gw1 was not a grinding feast, but that was only smoke in my eyes.

i’m not in favour of wipes, erasing a skill it’s terrible. i know it’s not easy to balance a class, but a nerf is not the solution, not this way.changes to rtl are acceptable, but what about mist form? i use the combo mist+heal like hell while in www, just to counter zerg movements. i see a lot of ele complaining for these changes because it will affect their gameplay in pve, and it makes me laugh. real challenge starts while in pvp, and our pvp effectivness is compromised with that change.

If you can’t use Ether renewal effectively, don’t use it. Glymp of Elemental Harmony is arguably just as good and is fairly quick.

maybe you’re forgetting the condition removal that comes with ER. and ER has stronger heals than GoEH. players like me that are using staff while in wvwvw will be heavily affected by changing healing skill, because we will need another way to clean conditions. cleansing fire will be a good choice, but then we will have to give up on armor of earth or arcane wave. balanced build will be wiped, that’s all.

i think there’s nothing to complain about, everything has already been decided. not only bunker ele will be nerfed, but all eles will. i can’t imagine playing against zerg and not use my mist form and ether renewal to get out of troubles. i guess devs are playing another game, otherwise they should be aware of our troubles. being not able to heal while in mist form will cripple our survivability and will force us to reconsider our utilities. we’re nice at eveything but best at nothing, while we’re best at evading. are eles intended to be only glass cannons? or are we doomed to uselessness? as far as i can see, other classes are being buffed while eles are nerfed without an emergency exit. and i’m not QQing because d/d bunker, i don’t even play it anymore and i don’t give it a kitten, i’m asking: is this fair? i start playing ele because i like to be the jack of all trades, now there’s the chance it will become usless, and i invested a lot in terms of time and theorycrafting.

there’s something wrong. yesterday i farmed some omnomberry nodes around 12:00 UTC, and again around 21:00, so it doesn’t reset daily. same for the jp chests. i do it everyday around 12:00, but sometimes it doesn’t reset and i can’t complete it. like now, i’m in malchor’s leap and smuggler’s loot and the chest under the vista are not active.

Hi folks, i was thinkng about condition damage and eles in www. I never heard about a good cond damage build for www, is there anyone with any kind of experience? Does it works or is a total waste of time and $$$? for my experience, direct damage is really effective, especially while playing in a guild warband as i do, but i am curious if condition damage could be effective in www, that’s why i’m asking it to you. You may say that the best way to know if cond damage is effective is trying by myself, but i’m concerned about investing gold on something i could dislike.

We never asked them to come to Piken, they just showed up unannounced. So far we’ve only seen them and despite trying to get them in contact with our community they seem to just want to ignore us. We already had major queue issues and with them showing up it’s only seemed to have made things worse, if they’d have asked anyone on Piken we’d have told them not to come we already have too many people as it is. As a community all we wish for is good decent fights, we don’t care about the tier we fight in, we don’t wish to be “no.1” server, all we want is a nice friendly community who can have fun together.

T1 is quite stressful, many of our players (myself included) were tired about it, so we decided to come to piken, and not to get it in T1 or something like that. besides, this is a game, we’re free to transfer anywhere we please, i know you feel piken as your home, but we’re playing at your side, so at least you could try to understand our reasons like we uderstand yours. we’re trying to get in touch with your community and sign on your schedule, but we’re still waiting for approval on your alliance website. i’m not talking for my guildies, i respect your gameplay and your needs, no one likes queues or stuff like that, but you can’t prevent us from playing. the best way to deal with this situation is to get an arrangement and try to cooperate. personally, i do not see why so much hostility, and it hurts me to read certain messages on chat map, even ‘cause we’re here at least to help you in your fights. if sometimes we seemed arrogant it’s because some of yours started a fight with us, we’re not here to start a catfight with anyone. again, i’m not talking for my guild, it’s just a personal thought. if you think i’m wrong, please contact me ingame, i’m not used to air my dirty laundry in public, you have my username

Hi there! I’ve noticed so far that weapons like hammers/swords/shields/bow/scepter have some really nice skins, but staves and daggers lacks of interesting ones. Let’s make some examples: precursors. The Legend, Spark and The Hunter are horrible, nothing special about these weapons, especially if compared to Infinite Light, The Lover, The Choosen, Storm and The Energizer. Nothing to say about Legendaries, even if The Bifrost and The Incinerator are a bit less than others. Exotic skins instead, have areally big gap between weapons. As an example, Wings of Dwayna, Abyssal Scepter and many others are comparable to legendaries and have terrific skins, but it’s really hard to find a nice skin for dagger/staves. So please, make new skins for these weapons asap!

honestly, 0/10/0/30/30 is overestimated, knight equip too. the reason? got almost the same stats, but i have a different impact on the battlefield (wvw). more lethal, keeping same survivability. believe me, i can feel the difference, even if it looks like there’s no difference at all. there’s no reason to survive to everything if u hit like a kitten, imho, especially in wvw against zergs, or better, while roaming in solo.

i just had the biggest lag ever in piken square border, inside garrison. me and my allies got more than 20 seconds skill delay, even autoattack was delayed. our enemies seemed to be immune to this lag, maybe our latency makes the difference, who knows. i’m just kitten because this happens so many time i can’t count it during the wvw nights. culling is worst than ever, it’s impossible to roam without a commander active, because of the culling on allies. i feel like a B series player in this game, i’m sure many feels like me, and probably that’s the biggest fail for anet besides bad choices and wrong priorities.

ANet has already stated that none of the items which can be purchased with laurels will provide agony resistance; I don’t see why that wouldn’t apply to the infusions. I don’t think they will be upgradeable because a) agony resistance is only needed for the Fractals dungeon and b) with the new laurels system, in conjunction with the mystic forge-created infusions, one can get at least 15 or 20 agony resistance without ever stepping foot in fractals.

Edit: To reply to idorian, (correct me if I’m wrong) only an amulet can currently receive a utility infusion. So yes and no, they might be stackable in the future, but currently there are not multiple pieces of gear to stack them in.

at the end of the day, ppl will still complain about eles, but i’m sure we’ll continue to be the greatest class in the game, no matter if they will nerf us or not. it’s matter of skills, and mastering the elementalist it’s matter of skills. let them nerf us, we’ll survive and pwn lazy :facerollers like 1-key-warz or all-i-can-do-is-hiding&backstabbing.

i’m so pissed about this bug you don’t have idea. i did 104 runs and i don’t have single ascended item, and i have to face double stacks of agony + 25 stacks of vulnerability. anet you’re doing it wrong. everytime you try to fix things you make it worse than ever, i appreciate you’re trying to fix exploits, but right now exploiting it’s the only way to avoid your mistakes. and your rng sucks, honestly.

same problems, different day. fastweb, italy ofc. it happens only in certain maps, right now it’s impossible for me to get in lion’s arch without at least 2 mins of lag/disconnect. once in LA i can’t move because it causes crashes. i was playing smoothly until 1 pm, then here we go again with lag and crashes.

1 day passed, a lot of tests done and we’re back to the start. i still have lag problems, right now i can’t enter certain maps, loading screens take forever to disappearand i still get disconnect error.
