This is so broken. It is massively f…ed up. Unbelievable. I played the engineer for so long. But now I’m not sure if I can play this class anymore. I guess I play something else to just not get angry.
Same here, thought I do something wrong and spend about 4 capacitors with no effect on attuned ring
I hope you find a way to fix it soon. It is quite essential to my elementalist build.
The graphic option effect LOD significantly improves my overall framerate as a WvW player and helps identifying different AOE effects. For quite some time though, this option makes certain AOE effects not being visible. Like Guardian Longbow 5, elementalists static field and some more.
Is there any bugfix planned in the near future, because I haven’t heard about this issue for a while now. And I really hope for this feature coming back. I guess many complains about dragon hunters are coming from this broken graphic feature, because many player try to dodge invisible walls and get knocked down over and over again.
Yeah, but this keybind means you translate onscreen text in another language. For example Queensdale to german Königinental. Maybe I download gw2 again one day in english. Seems to be the only option. But thx for your help
Thank you for your replies. But unfortunately that is not the case for me. The english keyboard layout is erased in windows, and there are no keybindings active in windows. But this brought me to a new idea.
Maybe the problem is that my GW2 Client was originally installed in german. and I downloaded the english language pack later on.
Have you installed the english client directly?
Hey there,
I have a little problem with my keybindings and I wonder, if there are more people out there having this problem and maybe know a workaround.
I bind the auto attack to Left ALT (thumb), and I dodge with Left Shift. The main idea is that I don’t have to move my fingers away from WASD for this basics. It works well for me. The problem I’m having is, that pressing Left ALT and Left Shift simultaneously changes the keyboard input language (in my case german keyboard layout to english). And that happens way to often while I play the game. I end up writing stupid things in chat… ;-)
Now you can switch off this function in windows, what I have done. But it seems like this “feature” is in the game. I can’t think of any sitution where I want to change that input language. So is there a possibility to kill this function in GW2?
If not, I would love to see an option ingame to switch it off. If there are no more people complaining about that, I understand that this would be too much to implement it.
Thanks for you attention
I was really happy to hear that the commander tag becomes account bound, because i think a lot of people can actually make a use out of it, like me having a tag on my thief, which i would never play as a commander in WvW.
The colors are also really helpful for playing WvW together as a community and bring probably more diversity into the WvW tactics with different groups running for different targets.
But the different colors should be a free feature to all of us having a commander tag. I mean, it has nothing to do with personal style like a legendary, which should really be a effort for everyone of us . It is helpful for the community of players and shouldn’t be sold individual.
The GvG/WvW scene might be small in comparison to the PVE World. But the love that these players invest in their hobby and the feedback they get from other players shows a great potential.
Even if you see it from a commercial point of view, GvG is free advertisement for the game and it could be that certain something for GW2. A reasonable investment in my eyes.

I play thief for many months now. I accepted many nerfs, some i didn’t understand. I’ve read an insanely huge amount of posts like this. And i think it is definitly the wrong time to complain about thieves.
The thief is in a good state at the moment. We have some crap abilities, like all the other classes. Thieves can end up a fight pretty quickly. If they don’t, they have most of the time a hard fight.
Most people also forget about the different skill levels of all thief players. A class shouldn’t be balanced for the top ten thieves, that destroy most casual gamers in seconds. There is a wide variety of players. And i actually don’t think that thief is easy to learn. You need to invest some time to have fun out there.
ps: I also would love to see new weapons ;-)
