[Suggestion] Mouse Pointer

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: in for blood.5670

in for blood.5670

I’d like to suggest option to change mouse pointer size, colour, or at least changing it to system pointer.

THIS. +1 +1 +1

I lose track of that small, gold mouse cursor ALL the time and it’s very frustrating.
The longer the fight, the more flashy effects filling up the screen, and the more bodies in the mix, the more times I lose track of it. It even happens at times in simple, small scale fights.

Make it glow, put a darker shadow behind it… SOMETHING. And let us adjust the settings, please.

Would be much appreciated. Thanks for bringing this up, OP.

World Map Completion in WVW

In theory the colors do rotate, but the problem is that your server rating still factors in, so if you’re never green it probably means your server is always last in the match up (not surprising, since it sounds like almost nobody does WvW where you are).

The only real fix for it is either going to be getting a guild group or something up to go into WvW just to cap those couple points, or . . . transferring to a server that is sometimes green.

Essentially, what he is saying is, you better either have:
- lots of friends
- lots of gold
- or pay $40+ for server transfer and back (Server xfer = 1800 Gems, $20 = 1600 Gems)

The requirement to need POI’s and Vistas inside Keeps and Towers that you have to have control over in order to acquire, is ludicrous. You can be the most unskilled, lazy, and dense person in the entire GW2 community, but as long as your server is the right one, you’re golden.

Enjoy spending that $40.

Seriously, Enough with the Iron ore.

Bolt is far too flashy, imo.
There are better 1-H sword skins out there, and for far less of the commitment.

I had never stuck with a Warrior class until this game was launched.
They put me to sleep, and I saw no point in playing them.

Now, in this game, my Warrior is my main. Does that tell you much?

Damage wise:
Guardian > Warrior

Am I missing something?
Because every CoF speed run I’ve ever been on was 4 Warrs and 1 Mes.

No Guardian in site.

Look it up, warriors have medium damage.

Guards ,necro, eles, and thieves out damage warriors.

Are we talking multi or single target?

Warrior’s are very good at dealing damage, but many times they need a good guardian to keep them alive.

Warriors are rough damage dealers.
Guardians are more tank-like (remind, this game does not have tanks!) and are better at buffing allies (remind, this game does not have healers!). But they still do very good damage and ar ein my opinion more versatile then warriors and definitly more fun to play (warriors = press 1 ==>yawn ==> win)

Really? Because 2 is our best damage dealer while wielding a GS.
Warrs also have great mobility with a GS.

Plus, Asuras looks awesome with them hunched over their shoulder, nearly tipping them over.

There was a (90%)Karma nerf? I don’t recall that one. Are you talking about the Liquid Karma not affected by boosts from nearly a half a year ago?

No, I think he’s talking about dailies giving 500 karma rather than 4000 karma.

Mystic.5934 explained it best in his post above.

Still better than my experience. I put around 800 hours into this awful game and could count the number of rares I got on one hand. Oh and I got zero exotics, of course zero ascended, and no precursors. No minis either. This is the most unrewarding garbage I’ve ever played.

Mindlessly run FG Champ Trains and DE blues… You’ll get the MF you need.
Personally, I catch up on some Netflix while I do.

Or there’s also the LA event going on, too.

Not saying it will affect your Mystic Forge chances, but it will certainly affect your raw rare drops (outside of bags).

To keep this short: Why is that, ANet? Help me, and other players concerned with this move you took to understand why.

I’d say because players complained they were sitting on millions of karma that was worthless.

The could have made it more usefull :/

Exactly. Instead the usefulness wasn’t changed, only the amount and ways in which it was accumulated.

IMO, it hinders the (new/returning) people who are now in pursuit of their first legendary, and with no clear reasoning behind it, besides pure speculation by the player base.

Why leave us in the dark over this is I suppose another question to ANet.

So then you’re saying rash outbursts by players was the direct result of the change?

Personally, as the views and replies of this thread climbs, I’m wondering when a dev will chime in and truly explain the reasoning behind it.

There is no grind in this game. But just because a game has no grind doesn’t mean it doesn’t have long term goals. The difference is grind is REQUIRED to play the game.

There isn’t anything after exotics that are required to do any activity in the game except high level fractals, and by the time you’ve get to a high level in fractals you’re not experiencing something new, you’re just repeating something you’ve done many times before, but tougher so you can get more gear to do it again, but even tougher. If you do high level fractals you’re doing it because you LIKE grind. That’s the entire point of doing them.

The problem with karma is if you don’t care about Legendaries then it’s pretty much useless. We really need a karma vendor that is as useful as the laurel or guild commendation vendor (but with different stuff so as not to make those obsolete).

You’re derailing the topic.

Karma’s importance hasn’t changed, but the amount in which and how it can be acquired has, and drastically so. I and others would like to know why.

drawings give luck.
the karma nerf he’s talking about is going from 4500 karma / daily to 600 karma / daily
couple that with nerfing karma boosters, and 90% reduction isn’t so far off.

  • If someone just logged on, got dailies, logged off, they went from about 9,175 karma / day (4500 × 1.95 + 400 from events) to 800 karma / day (600 + 400 from events).
  • If someone was fairly active elsewhere as well as daily, they went from about 14,775 karma / day (4500 × 1.95 + 6000 from events) to 6,600 karma / day (600 + 6000 from events)
  • If someone was very active elsewhere as well as daily, they went from about 28,775 karma / day (4500 × 1.95 + 20000 from events) to 20,600 karma / day (600 + 20000 from events)

so depending on your activity, you saw a 28% to 92% karma nerf.

Well said.

At 5,000 Karma per day: 200 days (nearly 7 months)
At 10,000 Karma per day: 100 days (over 3 months)

Hope you’re more of a hardcore gamer than those two examples. Good luck.

Karma is still so easy to acquire a lot of you say, eh?

Well then you should breeze through my challenge to you:

- Waste all your easily earned Karma on Orr Boxes.
- From 0 Karma now go accumulate an easy 1 mil Karma.
- Report back here when you have done so.

In regards to the 90% Karma Nerf:

I’ve googled the topic over and over again trying to understand and possibly overcome this nerf implemented by ANet. There’s been I’m sure countless threads on this subject and on many different forums, as I have discovered many just in my searches alone, but in none of them did I see a response from ANet.

To keep this short: Why is that, ANet? Help me, and other players concerned with this move you took to understand why.

It’s been far too long.

TL;DR bolded
