Even though I believe the 25% to not be enough I rather take that than nothing. Having said that using Signet of Suffering with Plague Signet is still broken. Having reworked the grandmaster trait has now made it useless, at least for PvP, cause its just suicide. As soon as you transform all your life force is wasted cause you have no way to manage conditions while in shroud.
Please change it back to what it was.
Couldn’t agree more, not only using signet of suffering grandmaster in combination with plague signet a complete joke but they also nerfed vital persistence which makes many other skills and traits also worst. As a side note I have not seen buffs to power reaper.
I am not playing this game till they fix this.
Nobody is talking about the fact that the new signet of suffering in combination with plague signet is broken, it just makes shroud un playable. You just transform get loaded with condies, cant do anything about it, and in a matter of seconds shroud is out.
The problem we now face as necromancer while using this grandmaster trait is that if we are to use Plague Signet, one of most used skills in PvP, is that now while in shroud we continue taking conditions from allies. This initially might sound great, but the reality is that while in shroud we dont get to use signets but we just get the passive bonuses, not only that but we dont have a single skill in shroud that allows us to transfer or remove condies. As a result we get loaded with condies and we cant do anything about it till we transform out of shroud, not only that but this in combination with the vital persistence nerf makes our shroud up time almost none.
To conclude we now cant take Signet of Suffering in PvP cause it just destroys our shroud uptime specially when you take the vital persistence nerf into consideration.
Really hope Anet looks into the necro update cause it was just awful.

Couldn’t agree more, not only scourge looks awful but they also nerfed Reaper….
The food that got nerfed was power, having said that condi is supposed to be nerfed too.
But thats not the point, the point here is that after years of the Reaper playing the way it does its all being thrown away just to sell the new elite spec.
Of course its no useless and I can use it with the scourge but it no longer works with Reaper, and thats the reason I went for that stats.
Not only am I upset because the new elite spec looks awful but they also nerfed Reaper condi dmg, thanks a lot for making all my gear stats useless Anet.?

I actually liked the update for once….
I am really happy we didn’t get a nerf for once.
We might get some use in PvE with Plaguelands and in PvP we might have actually gotten a slight buff with the axe changes (never have I used Plague in PvP, not saying its bad but I wasnt into it). Have no idea about WvW…
Please Anet add the Grenth weapon set on the Black Lion!!!!.

Please just give us a 3 or 4 stat amulet where we are able to choose the major and minor stats.
Allow us to play the way we want.
Not only that but it would stop certain classes from being benefited by the available amulets while others might not have that privilege.
Why as a Bronze player am I being matched in ranked with higher division players??.
Not only am I having a crappy experience but I am also ruining it for the rest.

As of a couple of days I’ve been having some color flickering in full screen mode.
The weird thing about this is that i never had this problem before.
I dont know if it has anything to do but it started happening after I updated my graphics drivers.
The problem seems to stop when i change to windows full screen.
Just bought it and there are clear clipping issues with the beard.
Please do not remove the beard when the outfit is equipped. I’ve seen this done to other pieces of armor and it doesn’t look good imo. Thanks

As of lately Necro has been getting nothing but nerfs.
Instead of getting mad over it I decided to make a post asking you nicely to please look into the necro balance.
I really dont think theres a need for me to mention all thats wrong with Necromancer atm but we basically need work in PvE (death of Lich Form) PvP (cant do nothing once we are focused) and Qol improvements (Vital Persistence and skill cooldown on shroud).
Im not mentioning WvW cause I honestly have no idea about that game type.
Limiting one class per team would make the classes which are kinda overpower not have that much of an impact on the game.
A teams effort would make that class be easy to handle.
Also as a solo player I feel kinda forced to player professing like the ranger seeing how I would have a bigger impact on my team instead of a necro for example.
Finally this would add much more diversity to every single match instead of it being mostly made of op classes
As a GW 1 player I personally find it really sad that we no longer have class specific armor sets.
Seeing how we do not have that wouldn’t it be cool if were to get a unique armor set out of elite specializations.
Currently every profession has a piece of armor from HoT, I would like for them to continue adding more pieces till them make a full set out of specializations.
Even though armors are restricted by weight and not class this would make it feel unique too the profession.
Please limit the amount of classes per team.
Tired of going against teams with multiple guardians or rangers, its so annoying.
By only allowing 1 profession per team matches would be way more fair.

Umm seriously? You’re gonna ignore all the other awesome stuff, just because this one skill that was obiously OP got nerfed? Really?
MM was viable before HoT came out. What happens to Rise! is not gonna change that. And several people aren’t seeing that much of a difference anyways.
Why is people’s default response to patches always overwhelming negativity?
Look there is no need for me to repeat everything Cecilia said. This patch is being played out as QoL improvements but thats not the case, the changes made are pretty meaningless. Hell I would even go as far as insignificant in PvP, those skill were not used before and it will remain that way. Also life blast range is only useful if you are playing for free cause reaper shroud is too good of an improvement as to skip it.
Also Master of Corruption seems crap compared to other cooldown reduction traits.

Am I missing something, there are many other classes that I think about when I hear the words OP and necro is not one of them. The thing that kittenes me off is that they try and play it off as a QoL improvement when we got nothing positive out of it and one of the most important problems necro has, vital persistance, wasnt even touched.
Ive been asking for this for a really long time on the forums so I thinks its required that I say Thank you Anet.
Would love seeing this reward track being added to PvP too but I am not complaining.

Please Anet, change the way chill dmg stacks as to make it more “competitive” with the rest of the conditions on game. As of right now chill has a constant dmg and it cant be stacked making it feel unrewarding.
I keep saying it doesnt require team effort. Everytime i tank with power reaper on it i have almost perma 600 chill ticks on gorseval. :P
In theory you can lose a lot of damage. But in my experience that rarely happens. Sure an improvement would be nice. But its not nearly as bad as most of you are making it out to be.
The problem is still that every time I apply chill I feel as if its being thrown away, the rest of the conditions in game are allowed to stack making it rewarding to continue to apply it. This is clearly no te case with chill, no matter how much chill you apply it will not stack and the damage will be cosntant making my efforts go to waste. Compared to other condis like burn a 600 tick is nothing.
Yeah i tested it further. It switches between who ticks. And its kind of random when it does it. What it seems to do is swap when the oldest stack runs out. Even if the next few stacks are owned by the first player. So im not really sure whats going on with it.
But in actual gameplay you should see very little deathly chill downtime so long as noone is trying to stack chill intentionally. You can maintain it permanently if you hold the cap whenever other people apply a passive chill. Which isnt hard to do on a condi viper build.
Still the problem is that Chill damage is super underwhelming specially when you compare it to something like Burn, not only that but as you mention it requires a team effort for you too maintain that damage.
We really need this condition to stack like the rest to make us competitve with the rest of the condi builds.
As I mentioned before this skill might require a duration cap but it really needs to stack in damage to make it usefull.
Theres some common misunderstandings about how chill stacking works. Its actually quite easy to maintain dps chill in a group due to how it actually works.
Chill caps at 5 stacks. Any stacks applied after this will not apply. Already applied stacks never get replaced, they have to run out before a new stack can be applied. As long as you have 1 stack owned by you active on the mob you will continue to tick chill damage. So as long as you make sure you are maintaining long duration chills you should never lose chill procs. If chill drops off and people spam chills and cap it then it may take a while for you to get your procs in again. But otherwise it shouldnt be much of a problem.
Basically make sure the high condi damage deathly chill reaper always chills first and you shouldnt have much of an issue.

I think vipers is better and my reason for it is that you barely sacrifice condi dmg for a lot more condi duration. This means that your conditions can damage for longer and at the same time it allows you to stack higher condition numbers.
Everyone knows that after 5 stacks chill no longer continues “growing” but isntead shorter duration chills get replaced by the new one being applied.
The problem this generates is that damaging chill applied by you get replaced but other stacks.
I think that a good way to solve this problem is by capping the duration that we can apply at one time but not the conditon itself. Not sure how clear I was but my point is that after a certain point the duration no longer grows but the stack number does limiting this way the duration of chill that can affect an enemy at one time and at the same time not punish you for the kind of build you are running.

Norn female shoulder armor adjustments, weapon size adjustment, fixes to hair that clips with the character’s body (as bad as charr)
Why not mention Charr clipping issues
Dye on weapons or back items, at least the back items cause come on…
Alternate colors, shapes, themes of existing weapons for lack of dye
Alternate design themes for existing armor meshes (can’t win if you don’t play)
The keg throw at that one lodge in Wayfarer Foothills…
More real dungeons…All gone because people mistakenly think up and forward are the only directions worth looking in. -.-

Am I really the only one that thinks both this traits, Death Perception and Decimate Defenses, are a dumb combination.
While in shroud both this traits activated make lots of buffs like banners, spotter, fury etc go to complete waste.
Out of shroud your biggest dps comes in the shape of Gravedigger and its at this moment that its the hardest to keep vuln up for Deciamte Defenses to work and Deaths Perception isnt even activated. (I say that its hard to keep vuln up is because of the reason its so easy to keep 25 stacks only while in shroud).
Maybe make Soul Eater increase attack speed and have gravedigger reduce cooldowns like before???
After this weekend event my only big complaint about the necromancer is the Soul Reaping trait line, also Soul Eater might still need a small change but other than that I think necro is looking pretty good.
I love the fact that after unlocking all traits and skills we can get a weapon and armor skin but I know Im not the only one when I say that it would be bad kitten to see a title unlock also

I dont think its fair to comapre something that came with the game release and something that was linked to a specific event.
Yes we all knew about the system change but I dont remember them clarifying that they would remove the armor sets.
The Tribal armor set and other armor sets that were sPvP-exclusive will be obtainable again at some point in the future. There is no ETA as to when this will happen.

I think Dhuumfire should be moved to Curses, my reason for it is that if you look at both of the other grandmaster traits from Soul Reaping they benefit you no matter what type of build you are running. Unlike the other two Dhuumfire only seems to be built to benefit one specific type of build, condi so it would be nice seeing it moved to the trait line that seems to be made to improve your condi builds. I would like to seem them add a grandmaster in Soul Reaping that increases both condi and power dps in the form of a multiplier or see them add something like the warrior has increasing again your condi and power dps for a certain amout of time after you use your shroud.
Its been a long time since many of the player have been asking for this armor set to come back, are we getting it in HoTs?? This armor set dissapeared without warning and I never got the chance to get it.

As I said there is no point in taking both of them in PvE seeing how if you are playing in a party makes lots of boons go to waste.
Then in a situation where you have outside crit% gain, don’t take both. In other situations, both together work well. Dhuumfire can be subbed for death perception, even on a power build, if it would take you significantly over 100% crit. Chilling Force can be subbed for decimate defenses as well. I know it won’t be min/maxed in scale, but it will still increase your damage.
I completely agree Dhuumfire is the way to go for max dps even for a power build, but i would like to see a trait that benefits this way of playing.
And no there is no armor set in my opinion that makes you wanna wear both DD and DP, as I stated before the simple fact that you can achieve 100% only with both of those traits makes many buffs go to complete waste, theres gotta be a better way to optimize your traits and armor stats as not to make things like banners, spotter, target the weak, fury etc go to waste.

At least in PvE its better.”nope I use both of these with Valkyrie Gear with little Precision and all, these Traits is very good for me, I dont really touch PvE and for PvP and WvW these 2 Traits are vital.
As I said there is no point in taking both of them in PvE seeing how if you are playing in a party makes lots of boons go to waste. I have no idea how effective they might be in PvP or WvW, still if you are by yourself and have both of this traits makes things like Target the Weak compeltely useless.
Please Robert do something about the Soul Reaping grandmaster traits.

3- As a result out of the 3 grandmaster traits only one benefits its condi dps and none benefits its power dps.
Please do something about them cause the Soul Reaping trait line is kinda mandatory and none except for Dhuumfire add dps which is according to you guys the way a necromancer benefits a party and that trait only affects condi dps.
I would love seeing something like “While in shroud you deal X% more physical and condi dmg” or something like what warrior has “When you use shroud deal X% more dmg for X secs”.
Also as a side note Foot in the Grave seems kinda underpowered, using shroud only as a stun break and stab is really limiting of its true potential.
