What’s is it with this Vizunah attitude, let’s get something straight.

1. I don’t think there’s ever been a 2 vs 1 against Vizunah.

2. The fact that neither SFR or Deso likes Viz doesn’t mean they’re allied.

3. By allying, SFR and Deso would both doom themselves into a boring match with zero fights during day/primetime and only small bad fights during night.

4. If SFR and Deso did ally despite the matchup turning into a snorefest, you seriously think Viz would ever exceed +5 ticks?

Now I’m not bashing Viz. You are being smart and getting the points during the hours you can. You don’t have the strongest prime-time force but what I’ve seen your pugs are quite organized compared to many other servers (which sadly isn’t enough against most guild raids :/).

Also, you have Troma who I seriously admire for not going into rage mode (like so many Vizunians) but instead having a good humor even when the SFR/Deso trolls go crazy.

But seriously, quit the 2 vs 1 bullkitten.

Let’s talk about last night. Deso attacking the right side of valley while SFR was attacking the left side (at the exact same time). Door 1 destroyed, door 2 destroyed, free Lord. Then start a 2-hour-fight between Vizunah and Deso+SFR. Because you may say whatever you want, but when 2 buses from different servers are 10m far from eachothers, do not fight together, and focus the same server, I call that an alliance. The problem was not Desolation, which are, let’s admit it, terribad as usual, but still we had to do something, the problem was the RGs. We lost valley, after 2 hours of fighting and you know what ? I am ashamed for you. Better be graceful in defeat than being cowards unable to play a proper 1v1v1. But well, seeing how Vizunah could stomp the Deso bus, I can’t even imagine what would happen with RG against Deso…

I hope you can find a stream of what happened last night, watch it, and then dare telling that this 2v1 is bullkitten.

You know, the 2v1 bullkitten was flying around last week too. Pretty much every time there’s two international servers in t1 with Vizunah your server starts yelling “lololol 2v1 and still can’t win”. And it’s all bullkitten. Sure, maybe this week there is some guilds collaborating, who knows. But no one cares to hear after all the false claims in the past.

Also, if you’re tired to give your best for 6 months then why not take a beak and simply drop a tier. If your server is as awesome as they claim it shouldn’t be a problem to get back to t1 when you’ve recovered.

Oh come on, we have friends on SFR. when a lead only focus VS in 5 hours, how can you not call it an alliance ( or a focus only on VS, same thing, different name)? color blindness ? and it’s not only one lead.

But a lot of people on VS are just tired about this blind hate without any real reason, people that are reading here and not commenting this mess, people that are doing a lot for the server and not blindly trolling like idiots here. Some of you forgot it’s a game. That’s why they wanted to do this last stand. The “last” in this is real. a [FR] server doesn’t have the same capability to come back as an [en] one, losing people is nearly definitive.

On viz we had a hard time having a real nightcap force to counter deso RUIN and the servers coming after, and we saw that it was not possible to recruit overseas for us, so we recruited on our FR community , and more importantly, we organised perfectly the off peak hours ( a commander always present, and other less obvious strategies)

it took time, we had bad weeks, but we never stopped trying, and at the end it’s thanks to you that our night crew is so strong right now, non – jumpers, and funnily a lot of times with better strategy/organisation than peak hours

if we have done it, you could do it too but…

Furthermore prior to their arrival Vizunah had a very strong nightcapping team and used the same strategy to accrue massive points. I’m not saying this to point fingers or start a flame war with VS. Everyone personally involved in WvW at the time knows the history. It’s about time we put the RUIN story in the ground, they showed Europe their true colours and we’re all glad they’re gone.

Taking out weekend and holidays, our “strong” nightcapping crew really started with RUIN to counter them, and was made stronger with BT and SFR. Prior to that, 20 people on all maps between 3am and 8am was considered strong.

the only difference with the other servers before RUIN comes to deso was from the night organisation, we always tried to organise it as well as the prime time one. 20 people everywhere and 20 people together are not the same.

but that’s an old story. it was a little the fault of everybody and nobody at the same time, but now T1 EU is more and more 24/24.

Actually fighting against Vizuhna is the saddest thing I’ve ever seen in this game. All they seem to be able to do is build golems. And when 2 golems are not enough, then the next time it’s 4 or 6. Do these guys even know that there is other siege to break through gates?

I’ll be happy when we’re back in T2 and I’m really looking forward to face Piken and I had lots of fun with some Kodash in the past.

This playing for points and not for fun is not what I’m looking for in this game.

Ahah come one, we never saw as many golems as the first week SFR was in T1, on the worst days we destroyed as many as 40 SFR golems in 24 hours ….

vizunah always fighted in the long term, you’re not the first server burning yourself after one or two weeks of T1. Hope i’m mistaken, T1 will not be fun if it was not so hard.

And that’s why Deso impressed a lot of us, they fell down really hard but came back even stronger, so congratz to them.

I just hope viz will not be too strong with PA players coming there, it’s boring when you don’t have anybody to fight. But it’s not only positive, our strong point, organization, is a mess this week. Too many new players.

The rumors are true by 50%. The agreement was concluded only between rusian guilds of Seafarer and Deso. They fight only against the VS and do not capture objects allies.

I am very disappointed because I wanted deserved 1st place for my server w/o 2vs1.

don’t need to confirm, we can feel it and see it easily on a lot of borderlands it’s clearly not a 100% alliance but some strong guilds are only focusing our keeps.

but hey, it’s the game, it’s the first time we have such a strong double focus, it’s quite interesting to play.

Just too bad for the deso guilds that wanted to try first place.

I’m just a random from the NA ladder, but from an outsider’s point of view if a server can consistently stay in tier 1, winning more often than not in a landscape as turbulent as the EU ladder, they are surely doing something right. What they do may not be pretty, and they may not be very nice about it, but sometimes results do speak for themselves.

I’ll really like to see how VS fares against the NA ladder top dogs. Too bad it will probably never happen

the main VS alliance has a strict no cheat /fairplay policy , but no server can say they control all of their people…. if it’s not just somebody else trying to badmouth a VS commander.

Do you think all French WvW guilds equally went on each of French servers? No. Neither did Desolation players.

Funny thing but we did try before the game started, every major french alliance choose a different server, we tried from the beta to separate everybody quite equally, discussed it on french forums so that there is only one major alliance on each server.

You can see that easily when we managed to have 2 tagged servers in T1, and that french guilds are quite never jumping ships.

VS is the more organised one, server wide, so they managed to stay in T1 being really attractive for pugs who were directed and asked to help the server, so french pugs went in majority to VS having good organisation there, VS started to win quite everything, so they came even more etc…. but that’s no major guild moving.

we never thought about making a french superserver, because one, it would have been stupid, 6 hours of queue in primetime and still nobody at night , and two, we just like to fight each other even more than fighting you, so we can fight again on french forums )

there is a big difference between 24/7 coverage, and worldwide servers, and it’s our main issue in EU right now.

if you think there is a problem in NA too , solutions needs to be found that can make everybody happy. But i can tell you, this problem is big in EU , where there was – nearly- nobody at night before and a big nightcrew was 20 people.

all european countries are quite on the same timezone. playing on different rules kills the game for a lot of EU guys.

i have a good idea, you so much want H24 battles and a H24 presence, saying that H24 WVW would be better for everyone, H24 here, H24 there.

Why don’t you ask deso to move to the H24 ladder then ? everybody will be happy !

technically it doesn’t change anything, WvW servers are in texas anyway, and it would be more glorious for you to win worldwide …

if you are not doing that just for easy wins of course, but for a true challenge.

i just don’t want to list everything all the time, and that’s clearly the one i prefer, EU ladder was never made to be H24 at first. ( why not doing directly only one ladder with only international servers if it was not the case ? )

ipblocking, transfer blocking, merging ladders and taking out the tags, creating a separate ladder for tagged servers, points counting less at night, points counting less with less defenders…. there is a lot of possible solutions …

An official answer would be most appreciated, so european and especially tagged servers can react accordingly.

Nightcap is part of the game, wvwvw is 24/7, and although I admit it’s certainly not an “honorable” way to get the advantage, it’s legit, and it’s certainly better than the cheating some people of your server have resorted to.

I doubt it was ever just 20 people and I doubt they were just sleeping late instead of being night workers who were just awake at that point anyway. Probably a lot of them didn’t stay in that long, why bother when the whole world has gone green.
In any case it sounds like you position is that nightcapping is unfair because our nightcappers outnumber your nightcappers, the identical position we were in two months ago.

The only difference to the beginning of GW is that in the first 10 1 day matchups and the first 3 matches over 1 week it was you beating the doors of FS and Deso and winning the matches after monday with 600+ points every night because of FS and Deso sleeping.

WvW was better when it WAS separated. we started to have good competitions on EU ladder, we didn’t have the problems the US have with this 24h fight rule where T2 and T3 don’t even try to win anymore.

EU is designed to be separated, so keep it technically separated !

For once we agree, you’re just a small part of deso server. and an infinetesimal part of EU ladder.

So , why is it normal that this small part changes so much the ranking points and mess up all the EU ladder ? IRON is not painting blue the 4 maps, but you are. ( and will be even more now that holidays are finished)

As far as im aware, the match against us was RUIN’s first EU match.

We were 10k behind in score, and then they rallied their server, and did a great job getting pretty far ahead again.

Blacktide at the moment is a monster, with the Russian coalitions (Xaoc and Disorder League) and some extremely strong EU primetime guilds.
I look forward to meeting any server, and i expect we’ll get told we’re only winning because of nightcapping and/or because we “stole” FSP’s Russians/bandwagoning.

If Desolation hadn’t gotten RUIN, Blacktide would be server people complained about, and those people saying nightcapping is fine if it’s done by EU people would be conspiciously absent. (Or, claiming we have Americans.)

Are you aware that these russians were on FS before ? that FS won once fighting VS and no one complained ?

if these FS russians were on the same GMT , it’s possible that they would have stayed in first place, we know they are good.

if you don’t recruit an american force just to crush doors and are just strong, that’s fine for us. It’s not a problem of having a competition and people stronger in front of us, it’s a problem of having the best one winning at the end, or the most dedicated one, not the one who can recruit 10000km away and on another ladder just to win without effort.

Too bad, i think that this new deso without ruins ( and without some exploits) would have been interesting to fight on.

ok i admit, you’re so good you can go up against two fully allied T1 servers and win easily. you’re that strong.

never used the jumping bug to have the water fort, never used the thief bug to block supplies indefinitely , and we never see a massive amount of people bashing doors at night. By the way, VS people are not at all in a games meeting this week end, they are on AS , they like to lose to your incredible strengh, but in a different color for a change. And the rest of VS and AS are sooo motivated by these incredible fights and talented people on your side, always playing fair, that they try their hardest these days. We don’t see at all on french forums people rerolling waiting for Anet to take a decision, or leaving the game. Oh and yes, we have a 500 strong canadian jewish guild called CaSu, it’s good that Ruin came to balance so well T1.

Unfortunatly i have been surprised about peoples mentality in this game. Its all about being the winner here. I have been amased about what players are willing to do to brag about winning, and also the other way around, how quicly players also give up when it goes bad for them. In other words people flee the loosing servers and mass on the winning servers. It doesnt matter if your knocking down doors, because your a “winner”…

In the 4 FR servers, win or lose, everybody fights until the end. No big guild is jumping on the winning server.

Problem is, it’s not about winning, it’s about having the possibility to win if you play better or are more organised/dedicated …

90% of EU players were on quite the same timezone. nightcapping in the biggest nightcapper server was done with 30 persons max outside of holidays, and they were just late sleepers.

to adapt for what ? to have the same mess as NA ladder where fights are less important than recruiting in other countries ?

when there is an easy technical solution , blocking transfers between timezones?

If NA guilds move to EU servers then the servers all have 24×7 coverage Vs staying up all night for many players. Since we moved over there has been a ton of EU players on during our prime time also.

IF NA guilds move to EU servers, then 2 or 3 servers will have 24×7 coverage, and the rest will be done for, making WVW not interesting for the majority of EU players.

For what ? there is 0 benefit besides some actual people who wants to win easily. Your “tons of euro players at night” were in holidays and tried to fight you. That was ONE week.
