If every HoT account decides to make 1 Elite Specialization Weapon crafting the Mystic Weapon, there’ll be no more Mystic Coins. That’s the problem. And I don’t care what Anet said in this case, there’s something really fishy about that.

Oh, and if we check the history for the Coin’s Price, in matter of hours after the last ANET statement, the price went skyhigh.

I want Tengu as the next playable race!

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

jeezlaweez.6810

Since races in this game don’t offer nothing to the gameplay but skins, I’d rather have tonics that actually work in PvE combat so everyone wins. It would be a nice collection to have too and another thing for Artificers/Chefs craft.

But I would like an Underground Dweller (any one, even Dwarves) as new playable race for a new expansion. With a new starter map from 1-16 too and their own Personal Story. Revenants make me cringe every time I do PS with them because they are not SUPPOSED to be there, even with the Mists/Ravenloft/Dr. Who excuse.

But if an expansion would have this Underground theme (vs. Primordus, prob.), then I would go with a new race, totally different from anyone we saw until now.

Why not Largos or Kodan? Either they are secluded, bad-tempered, solitary, assassin’s or with little to none variation so far.
Why not Tengu? I don’t know. They are pretty secluded too… don’t think they want to deal with the world, unless the dragons knock on their door. But hey, Scarlet knocked and they threw their arrows ON US.

Wishlist for future Expansions

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

jeezlaweez.6810

- Quick stuff, like adventures, that are instanced, not open world.
- Actual content, not everything needs to be gated behind something. If you have content, you won’t need to mask as something bigger than it actually is.
- New weapon types, although in terms of balance, it is a mess to deal with.
- Earn all armor pieces through Story, fun colections (like luminescence), or a fun scavenger hunt (like Mawdrey).
- More armor pieces.
- More fractals.
- More PvP maps and modes

But what I actually wanna see, and this is really important, is if Arenanet really wants to deliver a AAA Game like they say. Or if this game is subpar, and they admit it by lowering the price.
Either Anet didn’t have funds or time to do this xpac (or maybe both, who knows), and this is clear to me. So this is not directed to the devs, designers, writers and directors, but to the higher stances: Give this game what it deserves, and then ask for someone money.

Guild Halls - Accessibility to Everyone

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

jeezlaweez.6810

I was personally very active in the 32 page Guild Hall CDI from page 1. One thing that was made abundantly clear was that Guild Halls were to be made available for Small, Medium and Large guilds.

Maybe the Small/Medium guilds were left out in the initial release of Guild Halls but it was stated that there was specifically a Guild Team now so they may be working to bring the rest of us into the fold shortly.

One can only dream.

I was stating that ppl were wanting something BIG there. But the way ppl expressed themselves led to arenanet think they would want to compromise themselves to the Hall. Everyone wanted something that every guild could have access to, but at the same time, they were wanting micromanagement, huge buildings, upgrades tied to the buildings, pretty much everything that we have now too. Even to get rid of influence and replace it for something else was pretty popular there, and look what it became.

The problem is that to give all that was wanted there, they created something that for now, only major guilds can manage to get AND play the game for themselves at the SAME TIME.

But it’s like someone said once: careful to what you want, Anet may give it in a way you don’t like.

Guild Halls - Accessibility to Everyone

As a matter of fact, if you check on Guild Halls CDI, this Guild Hall design was one of those case that a lot of ppl were clearly wanting something big, but couldn’t express themselves well. This turned out the Guild Halls that we are seeing today, but believe me, if you read the CDI for Guild halls, you’ll see that ppl ASKED for it. ArenaNet just believed that a small part of the playerbase would be speaking for the majority, because the majority wasn’t vocal at that time. I can’t really blame them for that, in this particular case.

Edit: context.

Also, poison, bleeding and such, are very capable of being used as conditions to objects. Not all, though, and it would be difficult to use. But when they implemented engi turrets being affected to conditions, I was one of the people that actually saw a lot of logic. You can bleed a machine, by leaking its oil, for example. Or “poison” it, by making it corrode. Even confusion works on that, because you would mess with their proximity sensors.
For other objects, one or another would work as fine.

I find it both amusing and sad, the numerous people who have (in this thread and the other) basically said “I sat there spamming 1 like I always do, and it didn’t really seem different to me.”
?!?
So you sit there, making no real effort, and not really contributing.(like always) And you expect the event to seem different and better? Hmmm.

Well I’m here to tell ya. There are people that organize and do the pre-events – while you sit there waiting and bored.(and maybe complaining about the pre’s taking so long)
And there people that spam buffs and boons, and use CC when required, and heal people and rez people, and use unique event mechanics and accomplish objectives within the event.
– While you sit there spamming 1, bored out of your skull, and wondering why the heck Anet can’t make better events that are fun. And wondering why the boss is taking forever to die.
But don’t worry-
We will always be there to carry you.
And seriously – stop wondering why the events are so dull and boring, when you can’t even be bothered to make a proper effort.

I have enjoyed the new Shatterer each time. I have always found plenty to do. And I have found it fun and rewarding. And I’m not alone. Why don’t you join us in making a proper effort? Or at least quit wondering why you’re so bored and the event is taking forever.

OP:

  • Did you happen to take a screenshot or write down any error messages you saw?
  • Did your client completely crash, or did you just get booted back to the character select screen?
  • If your client did crash (rather than just disconnecting/going to character select), can you please PM me with your crash log? Instructions on getting the log are here.

Everyone else: if you get DCed or crash during the Shatter, it would be super helpful for us if you could take a screenshot of whatever error/crash message you get. If you get a crash message, you get bonus points for sending me your crash log in a PM. Thanks!

Hello!

Well, I’ve also had the “character select” disconnect problem without message. I’ve also had the 4.000 ping problem, but there’s something that bogs me a lot: I also usually have this kind of lag when I go to Tequatl and other high crowded areas (like cities). I thought before Shatterer that it could be caused by the population loading, so I set my character model limit to lowest. It worked for Tequatl, but cities are still kinda laggy and such, and Shatterer was unplayable for me. If I wasn’t in party, I would have ended into another megaserver instance.
Don’t you think that this could be caused by some sort of overload of uploading data from the servers, like, recieving so much data from different players at the same time, it has to send this same data, translating into a huge lag for those with low priority connections (either by being far from Arenanet servers or by poor connection?). I don’t know, just trying to help you figure out. Like I said, it only happens when that map is crowded, other parts of the game it doesn’t.
Also, it worths mentioning that I play GW2 with this same internet provider since 2013, and only in 2015 it started doing this.

I hope you can fix that. I really liked the fight. Really. It was fun, a good 10 minute fun. Shatterer was the first Dragon I fought in game, it was amazing to see that this game was able to deliver impressive bosses. This revised fight is more awesome than ever.

If you changed 2-3 warriors for, say, 2-3 heralds, could they do the same?

we all have to ask that questions before assuming something. It is a speed kill, but only one. Can others achieve that with different scenarios?

Magister's Pack and VB

jeezlaweez.6810

Well… I’m doing the Priory Backpack collection, and by now I’m at the last part of the Ascended One, the Magister’s Pack.

I only need the Airship Cargo strap and it says like this: “Successfully complete the Verdant Brink map meta-event cycle.”

What this means? This means that I have to get in a map that manages to get the Tier 4 on both times, day and night? This means that I need to have 200% contribution or something like that?

So last say it’s the first option: isn’kitten little… hard? I depend on a whole map (which is the home for the raids, btw) to be successful, from morning ’till night, kill 5 boss, clear every camp, with some bugs halting events, or even contesting Waypoints?

Then I checked out the other backs, and they are all vague: “Complete Meta Event Cycle”. Can anyone or any dev explain me how this works?

Thanks in advance

10k drinks in 28 days (the probably number of days Wintersday will last) is 358 drinks per day. If you don’t get that, you won’t make it. That would make a roughly need of ~30k regular Wintersday gifts, considering the RNG, or 700-1000 gold, depending on day, luck and offer. tracert x.×.×.x (the ip you got)

This will show if your route is clean to Arenanet servers or not. Mine is always showing that a route server is missing between Miami and Arenanet (i’m in Brazil, btw), which is causing massive lags sometimes too.

One thing that I guess they won’t admit is that their megaservers are tuned to permit WAY too much ppl. What is causing this massive lag is that the ip route they are using is either too busy or broken. If they set down the max number of players on a megaserver, this would work, but it would create the feeling that the game is empty.

jeezlaweez.6810

We paid a fair price for HoT.

As for very little content, New wvw map, new pvp game mode. new tournaments in pvp. 4 new pve maps and relevant content, guild halls, raids, new fractal design, new armor, new weapons, new legendaries, new events, new achievements. And not to mention the continuation of the living story when they get around to that, which was ALOT of content prior to HoT despite how you may feel personally about it. I’d say the price of HoT was fair.

I don’t have the energy to argue against this level of brainwashing. All I can say is I’m glad you’re happy and I congratulate ANet on job job well done.

I’m overall really happy about the expansion myself. At least they give us an expansion, a year ago people aren’t even sure there will be an expansion.

I always think most of the players complaining are usually “expecting” too much. That’s why when new games come out people get all hype up, and a few month later the forums are fill with complaint.

I usually complain before the game come out, and usually I have fun when the game is actually out.

And this is why we don’t have good stuff. Ppl will accept anything given the time, we can’t complain for short content, because someone thinks that a price like this is fair, if you compare to other games out there.

Question yourself:
1. do you pay for every game that comes out that you complained? Really?
2. Have you seen that some features of the base game were ripped off to be sold again on the expansion?
3. DO you really believe that Arenanet will deliver all the stuff they are planing in 2ys (considering this can be the lifespan of the expansion), like a new Living Season, new Elite Specializations, new Maps, new content, new PvP maps, new game modes, a major overhaul on WvW, new Fractals, the two-week base updates that was before, festivals that are not just re-release of old content (and if they can re-release old content, why not Season 1, or SAB?), new raid wings, new armors, new weapons (as in game rewards), new Legendary Weapons, Backs, Armors… and on and on… based on how they dealt with this game for the past 3 years?

Considering that now that a major part of this game is Play for Free, someday the expansion can be too. Over time this price will decay. What we paid for, by now, are just promises. You can’t blame ppl to complain seeing how ArenaNet dealt with this game until now.

Nope. I doesn’t increase.

It’s like saying “if you gamble on the lottery much, you have a better chance to win every time you play on it”. And we know that’s not how it works.
Every new attempt, the game reset to 0,79%, they do not stack.

You are mistaking this with dice rolling. When you roll 1 dice (the Forge case), you can get 6 in 1/6 times. When you roll 6 die at THE SAME TIME (not the Forge case), you can get 6 from any of those die, so your chances improve.

"Only" 4 maps?

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

I like the map design on HoT. However, they are not as big as you are thinking. Not when you have Lornar’s Pass, Straits of Devastation, Frostgorge Sound, Bloodtide Coast and Mount Maelstrom. They can be more “linear” at first, but they also have 3-4 biomes: a mix of Water, Forest, Plains, Wastes, Snow and even a Volcano.

Also, Dynamic Events (simply lost forbidden forgotten absence into oblivion on HoT) make the maps much more replayable and enjoyable than HoT. HoT maps are gorgeous, but that’s all for me.

Legendary Crafting, don't do it

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: jeezlaweez.6810

jeezlaweez.6810

For those saying we can only complain and not providing a solution, let me quote myself from another post:

The problem was, is, and always will be:
You can still buy precursors and legendaries.

That being said: This is not a Journey, providing that Arenanet entered this business to work, not only to make money, and expect deliver a AAA MMO Game, not an indie, and therefor this company has lots of employees we don’t even see their names appearing.

What a Journey is:

1st step: train your mastery to unlock the merchant that sells a book. This book, when used, opens a chat window, where you read an introduction for that weapon lore. After reading it, your Story Journal is updated, creating an entrance called “Legendary Journey: [name of precursor] Act 1”.

2nd step: play through 14 chapters of this Act 1, all time gated, you can only do one per day. Those chapters act as lore-telling, and as challenges you overcome to understand the weapon you are trying to make. This will be instanced when needed to prevent attrocities like “has to fail Dwayna’s Temple so we can get it back for an item”. It’s a personal journey.

3rd step: Completing this Act 1, you’ll have the recipe for the Precursor Tier 1. From now on, you can either:
- replay the Act 1, for achievements. Each achievement gives crafting components for the precursor [No more time-gated]
- farm the crafting components, if you don’t want to do it again.
- farm gold and buy the components, if you don’t want to craft them/time-gated.

4th step: finishing the Precursor Tier 1, you have to train your mastery (if not trained already) to open the 2nd Book, repeating the process.

The precursor should be acc bound when T3 is finished. It was a personal journey.

There you go: a Journey, with options, that won’t break the market.

The Nevermore, HOPE and Astralaria (and so on) would benefit a LOT by this system, for example, but this would be awesome for the others.

Ah, just one thing: other games already do that for Top-Tier weapons. It’s fun, it’s content, it’s lore. It’s a Journey.

Future Elite Specs

jeezlaweez.6810

1) We won’t get any more Elites. Yes, I’m breaking the hope. Thing is in 3 years we got little to nothing new of these stuff until an expansion came (and for some below, that doesn’t even apply):
- Races
- Dungeons
- Maps
- Fractals
- Weapons
- Skills

Core elements of the game, shown as something unique to GW2 sometimes (and they are/were) that we didn’t even got updated. So my sad answer is: no, we won’t have more Elites.

However, I do have some suggestions.

so 3)

Elementalist Acolyte: uses a Hammer. Gain access to another type of Attunement that turns him/her into a elemental being. A new Elemental Energy bar like Death Shroud to fuel this. Access to a New type of skill, called Blending, like Herald’s facets, but provides benefits only to the elementalist at passive, and only to allies when activated, and uses this metter as well.

Engineer Battleforged: Greatsword. His healing skill summons a golem-type minion that grants healing over time, and a good amount of burst heal when activated. This golem also activates the rest of the utility and elite skills that are linked to this golem, if equipped. If it’s destroyed, a cooldown will make the Engineer somewhat vulnerable.

Guardian Warmonger: Warhorn. Directly offensive with so-so support. His virtues would be upgraded to pure-offensive burst skills. Access to wells that acts like combat areas (like symbols but lasting longer), confining and granting boons/conditions to allies/enemies during some time.

Mesmer Ghost: Pistol Main-Hand. The F5 would be a Shatter skill that gives Stealth for each ilusion shattered. Deception skills that create a clone after shadowstep, invisible phantom that can switch places with the Mesmer (granting invisibility to the mesmer instead), and more.

Necromancer Darkstalker: Sword main-hand. Death shroud replaced by a Stalker Shroud, a claw monster with better mobility and attackspeed, but lower damage each attack. The skills are called Dark Magic, and uses Life Force to fuel them, creating some sort of micromanagement. The Elite skill would trade HP for Life Force upon activation, creating some sort of “reversing shroud”.

Ranger Pathfinder: Dagger Main Hand. A higher mobility Ranger that can access to a new Pet Ability called “Soul Link” with a Soul bar, where the Pet is automatically stowed and the Ranger replaces his/her utility skills for “pet skills” for a short time, also gaining bonus to stats according to the linked pet type. Access to physical skills that help gathering the Soul Link.

Revenant *Legendary Norn Stance/Sculptor/Eir*: It’ll use Longbow. This revenant will summon nature allies to help him/her. The Elite skill will be a Garm pack Summon.

Thief Assassin: Uses Rifle. I don’t like the “Sniper” theme, because it implies high usages of stealth, that thief already has. This thief has access to shout skills that mark opponents for party benefits: you could mark an enemy and make your allies recharge skills faster when hitting him, for 5s. Or you could mark an enemy for 5 sec and everytime he is hit, an ally gains a random boon. The Elite skill would make every hit count toward a breakbar. You call the shots.

Warrior Swashbuckler: Pistol Off-Hand. Everytime you equip the pistol, you get a dual wield number 3 skill AND burst Skill, replacing your regular ones. These warriors have access to mantras, that act like support or debuffs.

That’d be those that I would like to have… but… i don’t know. I still think that we won’t get anymore elites.

The Dragons "Weaknesses" spoilers

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: jeezlaweez.6810

jeezlaweez.6810

1) We just used the same weapon Mordremoth used against the Dream in the retconed Sylvari Personal Story. (we all know it was retconed. It was a Zaithan minion. The Pale Tree states that)

I’m not entirely sure if this was meant to be a retcon. We’ve seen hints ever since launch that there’s more to the sylvari lore than meets the eye, not to mention Caithe’s somewhat cryptic lines throughout and the barest of hints at Mordremoth (via some of Subject Alpha’s attacks in Crucible of Eternity). It’s entirely possible, however, that the circumstances of Caithe and Faolain’s separation and the death of Wynne may not have been fully thought out at launch and were later retrofitted into existing lore.

Lorewise the Shadow of the Dragon thing makes sense, though. The only people from whom we really learn about it are Caithe and the Pale Tree, both of whom, as per Living World season 2, have an agenda to keep the sylvari in the dark about their true origins, so they could’ve plausibly made the Shadow represent Zhaitan who was the more immediate threat due to Risen activity throughout Tyria. We’ve also later been told by devs that Ree Soesbee, who was mainly responsible for sylvari lore at launch, rewrote the sylvari missions over and over again to make them more ambiguous in order not to give away the reveal about sylvari origins.

I can see your argument there, but I think it’s a retcon because of how the Shadow is represented that time, a smaller and weaker copy of Blightghast the Plaguebringer, from Retribution Personal Story Step. They even share the same animations, poison droll and stuff.

Also because I know, as a writer and as a Dungeon Master, that a plotline is 90% developed on the fly, and that our new Elder Dragon wasn’t chosen from the beginning. hahaha

However, it’s what I thought. But you are right, the ones that tell you that it’s a Zaithan’s Minion are The Pale Tree and Caithe… well… both knew about Mordremoth.

I can pretty much confirm it’s not random. I did it for the 9 Elite Specs. And it gave me in alphabetical order, first Berserker, then Chronomancer, then Daredevil, and so on.
It jumps the ones that you haven’t unlocked yet, and then go to the next one. Two accounts, both happen this way. Wikia is not written by devs, and can be wrong.

The Dragons "Weaknesses" spoilers

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: jeezlaweez.6810

jeezlaweez.6810

Although the “Deus Ex Machina” ending is true and strong in this one, I have some additions to do.

1) We just used the same weapon Mordremoth used against the Dream in the retconed Sylvari Personal Story. (we all know it was retconed. It was a Zaithan minion. The Pale Tree states that)
2) Zaithan weakness was his hunger for magic, death and shadow (his aspects). We used artifacts, sink his shipline, destroyed his ossuary, purified Orr, and lots of other stuff so we can get to him and destroy him easily, with anti-magic cannons developed by tenths of ppl minds. I consider the story as whole pretty epic, specially if you play with all races. We did find his weakness at the Asura Storyline: he likes to eat magic, interrupt that and it will be a win.
3) WHY THE HECK the Pact didn’t pull the same strategy?! Mordremoth also consumes magic (Waypoints byebye events). And in his case, Nature and Mind Magic, as stated by the Priory Magister teaching in Living Season 2. Fighting those aspects, like burning the blighted trees spread on Maguuma (we only do this twice), teaching Sylvaris how to fight back, searching for artifacts, purifying his corruption… this would all work again.

and then comes the revelation: remember the Renown Hearts? The Dynamic Events? The Living World (not story, world)? Dungeons?

Yeah. They are all your Personal Story, they are linked. Each one provides little info/development/lore… but together, they all make a huge sense. Because they are in a timeline, as you travel through Tyria, the low level maps are in a earlier timeline than hi level maps. Some stuff you see in Kessex Hills are used later in Bloodtide Coast and on.

That’s why the story in Heart of Thorns is lacking stuff. Because those are not stuff that Heart of Thorns provide. There is only one Meta Event per map. It doesn’t teach you the lore very well, because you don’t percieve the map as a whole when you finish it, because… like Bill Murray… you are stucked into an infinite loop, then never finishing them.

Hairstyles

I want new hairstyles too. And this is taking too long. Those leaked hairstyles were already in-game because of GW2 China. All of them are from there, I checked the character creation and saw that even some exclusive hairstyles are available to them from the beginning. That_Shaman leaked some hairstyles not long ago, but it seems that they are not worried with this right now.

Someone said about new armor skins, since they are focusing this on the game, not the Gem Story, it would be nice to have Fine, Masterwork and Rare tiers of new armor on HoT. It’s quite lame that we have to pass through 2 hours-long events, depend on RNGeesus to get 6 armor sets.

Also, I don’t know why we can’t see our Jewelry on our characters. It would be a nice touch, specially with ascended ones. Some outfits add earrings, but it’s not the same.

Sic 'Em! - "Revealed" doesn't affect NPCs

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

jeezlaweez.6810

Some Enemies are not affected by neither Revealed or Nuhoch Mastery and Bladedancer is one of them. I’m pretty sure because I do the Verdant Brink hero point daily basis and I have the nuhoch mastery. It seems that he doesn’t go invisible, but some kind of delayed shadowstep. Checking his tooltip, it seems that is the case.
Other examples that go invisible besides Treasure Mushroom are Mordrem Snipers and Stalkers, and those are affected by revealed and Nuhoch Mastery (Nuhoch Mastery makes them go spectral red).
HOWEVER
Looking at the description of “Sic ’em”, I see that it does not have an AOE Radius to apply Revealed. Every Pet Command, including Shouts, need a valid path or target to work. If your enemy is invisible, it will NOT apply Revealed, because invisible enemies are not valid targets.
But you could PREVENT him to go invisible, if you use before the Stealth. However, like I said, in the case of Blademaster, is not a form of invisibility/stealth, but a Shadowstep with a delayed duration.

Edit: Even so, if you are applying revealed to someone and he goes invisible, then… it’s a bug XD

Man, Guild Wars 2 storyline is full of plot holes. Lets pick Caladbolg, for example. How in hell Trahearne got it back? It isn’t with him in any time after Source of Orr, presuming that it was left there to cleanse Orr, like a seal.
Many plot holes are this way because I KNOW that ppl that take care of Story doesn’t remember everything.

Sadly, as it seems that most (not all) of older players has complains on one thing or another that destroy the probability to prepurchase the next expansion, and remembering that this expansion was being stated by spec media as the “financial salvation” for this company, we will never get another expansion at all.

The lesson is: you can’t take your playerbase for granted and throw everything on them. It started with the Prepurchase Bundle issue, and to see this end you’ll need a Mastery.

A Sound “no”.

Hell, they put the backstab reselling stuff they took away LOL. Everything is gated now. You can’t really enjoy the game if you don’t farm for something before. Why not enjoy the content while doing the farm? Well, because you need a Mastery for that. Wait. Isn’t this the same thing as getting to level X cap in other games? YES! But with a different name!

Let’s talk about real gameplay content. Which is new maps and stuff. Cool maps. But after 1 month… have you done everything? I’m a casual player and I’ve done everything. I can even farm events now. ONE MONTH! Hardcore must be doing this daily basis, so I’m guessing they will be gone in no time, because there’s nothing more to do over content-wise.

Collections are short-term goals…. erm not. Collections in this game are like “you wanna do this one, hell forbid you to do other one”. Do you know why is that way? It’s a make up. To hide something they don’t want to show us: there’s not enough content.

Legendary Journey happens in other games. Heck, almost all RPGs has side-quests to get the best armor/weapons in that game that takes 1-2 weeks to complete. Not gonna even tell about the FF XIV Zodiac Weapons. What we have here? A Collection (please read above), not a Journey.

Ask yourselves, why take away dungeon rewards, lock fractal rewards behind masteries (exclusive to HoT), put insanely rare stuff as requirements for collections, and even destroy small guilds (and look, I have a 150 ppl guild, I can think outside my box and put myself in other’s places)?
Because they don’t have enough content in HoT! And they don’t even trust their playerbase will play it, so cripple the base game and resell everything again.

Oh! And don’t tell anything about it from the start. Let they find when they play it. Nice. They even lie to us (Colin said “no new Armor Tiers”, “no Grind”, “no walls of anything”, “no treadmills” lots of times, let’s just pretend he never said that).

Nope.

All this economics blablabla hides something that should be adressed: There’s no Journey at all, just an item collection. How hard can be to create a Legendary Quest that allow you to craft an account-bound precursor at the end?

Edit: forgot something.

AFK raiders ruining Verdant Brink meta

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

jeezlaweez.6810

Great ideas everyone, but those are all giving the ArenaNet the feeling that “if they can create a solution, then we don’t need to act”.

Raids are not like Dungeons. You can enter, say on a specific LFG that you are doing the stuff and done, ppl only go to the map and enter the instance. The problem with raids is that you need to set up a squad before entering, and once inside, you can’t just put on LFG.

In case the others don’t know, a T4 is not only required for the bladed chest, but also to get items for other collections, like the Magister Pack (ascended Priory), that need you to participate from the begining to the end in a map that goes T4 Day and Night. It’s the last real stuff that I need to craft this back (I can even argue the need of a Godkitty metaevent of 2 hours against what other collections need, but that’s another thing) and search for a map with 5-8 min to starting the meta is really lame.

Verdant Brink is on the brink of becoming the Raid Lobby, stucking progress for all those that are gonna play the game only in 2016, for whatever reason. We, at least, still have some hope on getting one organized instance. They need to fix it.

The Unnamed Rune

Here’s what I think:

I saw that rune, it had no name. Obviously, it’s a bug, since I scrolled through every rune and they were all there, so it was a new thing (at first, I thought it was some Elite runes were missing because ppl didn’t complete the Elite), but…nvm bugged. I reported and left it to be.
When you buy a bug for whatever value, it’s not an investiment, it’s a bet. You lost the bet.
How can you expect a fix? Like, you gave Gold to someone, not to a merchant. You didn’t excluded the rune. You didn’t even know what the rune was (and it turns out it wasn’t a rune at all, it was the Machined Weapon Core, that it should be crafted but it’s not, but it’s another matter) and still, you bought, and you know why? Because it was expensive. Just because of that.

I’m sorry that you lost your gold, but… I saw the bug and I reported it. If it was a new craftable rune, it would drop the price down low with time, it would never raise. So… I thought that not only it was risky, but I wouldn’t gain anything buying it.

Edit: Typo.

Everytime I see a thread like this it makes me cringe and then ironically laugh, since I keep asking myself HOW… kitten … HOW can anyone complain about any profession on PvE beside Necromancer players? They aren’t kicked from dungeons/fractals/god-knows-why because of the solo reason of being Necromancers, no matter build, damage, player skill, because someone said Necros weren’t any good.

If you ever kicked someone because “Dis gud you bad”, please read OP and see that one day can be your day to have a bad profession on some content.

Not gonna say what ppl here already said. They did bad, and deserved it.

My question is: What about their feedback, not only DnT, but the Att too? Was it any good? How did they contribute to the raid quality? Or they just played it and it was done? To me, seeing that in one month they were able memorize the stuff and, because of that, did the “speed run” (lol, what a joke for a weekly thing) totally destroyed the feedback part. Probably this will cost the quality of the next raid wings, even the next raids.

Thanks a lot for the possibility of ruining stuff ppl paid for.

Guild Wars 2: Heart of Paywalls

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: jeezlaweez.6810

jeezlaweez.6810

I wanna put here that I completely agree with OP, with some restrictions.

The best items on this game were gold-locked from the beginning, OR you could farm everything and craft the best items. Then you hunt down your favorite skins and Bang, you had your character done to enjoy the content. BUT there was almost no endgame content.
Now the endgame is here and it’s a grindy one. Yes, there are content. And a glorious one is. But that’s it. The 4 maps and it’s over. The fractals were there already, the new ones are locked behind the levels. And they give only 10% of the old rewards, NOW that we need ascended to do Legendaries. Let’s talk about the rest then.

The guild halls cripple my guild in half. The ones with, and the ones without the expansion. I can’t even give them cool stuff anymore, because I need gold (lots) to put on my upgrades (even if my guild was a helluva upgraded one before), and they won’t even get the benefits for that. Well, kitten , because they said they would take off the influence because you could purchase it and that did benefit the larger guilds. Hohoho, but the new System needs lots more gold than before! What in the name of Grenth is this? Not even a medium guild is cripple to the basics (from everything level 5 to a mere level 3 guild, not to mention my Guild Bounties stored and such), but this same guild is now losing players because they can’t buy the expansion and they are losing the will to play. Yeah, it started already.

Legendary Journey. Yeah. 1 hour journey. I mean, of course, if it’s not bugged, right? What Journey? Where’s the journey? The fun things according to each weapon lore is drowned into 200-500 gold-worth of craft stuff for tier that if you sum all the tiers you can buy the precursor on trading post (or 2, sometimes 3 times) and unlock the same stuff. And they are getting cheaper! How can you trade the money you’d needed to spend, to the time you would do the journey to craft, if you can only do the farm and sell the stuff to buy the precursor? It’s not “Hard” to do it, really. Just cost more for the same thing. Economy problem or not, the prices won’t low with the coming of raids.
How they could handle? Well a godkitten quest, if I may say. Time-gated.
Step one: unlock the mastery.
Step two: buy one of the books. Each book opens a Quest on Story Journal. 14 steps each tier. You can only do 1 step per daily reset. You unlock the recipe for the tier at the end. You can either replay each step to get the craft materials or buy the stuff. THERE YOU ARE, a Journey.
Step three: have fun doing an actual quest that adds to the lore of the precursor.

The OP and ppl here told the rest no need to repeat them.
