Because if it is instanced, tech the world is not actually changing. I’d like to see changes to the actual landscape in the open world. Not in an instance where when you come out all looks the same again…
And all the things that I mentioned ARE in the open world.
Everything except the Tower can be seen right now.
Idk why you’re trying to argue with me. All I want is it to be right there and not instanced
I don’t get why they would call it an, “Ever evolving, changing world!” If it will all be instanced….
How is a massive tower, a destroyed village and a cut down forest not changing the world?

That’s 3pm EST correct?
Just wonder if there was a developer preview today or is that next Monday?
Thanks!
Same here, I’m with you, I was hoping it wasn’t instanced………
I don’t get why they would call it an, “Ever evolving, changing world!” If it will all be instanced….
Will this new story be instanced or will the region actually change?
I am hoping the region actually changes so it feels like a living world vs a living instance….
I hope the tower will bring a giant tower and krait… honestly I don’t. Krait are probably my least favorite mob after mummies. It used to be just krait, but I really really dislike how much CC a group of mummies can throw around, it’s not fun. Once Halloween is over it’ll just be krait again, though.
CC is the most annoying mechanic to fight against in the game.
I have to agree with that. Nothing like rushing in on an NPC feeling epic and powerful just to get thrown down and watch yourself lay on the ground for 3 seconds.
I have to deal with that enough in life, would rather not in game.
1. Say I have two bows but I like the look of both of them. Would I take 2 crystals, transfer the look of bow #1 that I am getting rid of to some junk bow and then transfer the bow that I like to bow #1. This method I just preserved the look of bow #1 if I ever want to go back to it?
If you were to use a transmution stone on bow #1 to transfer the look to a junk bow, then the 2 items merge, and you are left with one item. Transmutation creates a new item, replacing both the junk bow and bow #1.
In other words: After transmuting you would have 1 bow with the stats from the junk bow but with the looks of bow #1.
Therefore, you will not be able to transmute the bow that you like to bow #1 as bow #1 no longer exists.2. With a Transmutation Crystal can I take the look of a lesser than 79 level bow and put that look onto a level 80 bow?
Yes.
So if I understand correctly, if you have two BA looking bow’s you have to make a 1 time choice? No way of saving the look of the one you are about to change the look of.
How do you get the weapons and the trinket stuff currently?
Will they release better stat weapons with the ascended armor?
Does anyone have links to the stats/looks of the weapons?
What the heck!?! That is ugly.
Idk who designs the gear at Anet but they need to step their game up. This much work/time I want to look epic!!! Not like I’m about to preform for the king…
Has it been released yet? If so where do I go to see the looks of it/ how to make it?
Thanks!
I have a quick question on how I can use Transmutation Crystals.
1. Say I have two bows but I like the look of both of them. Would I take 2 crystals, transfer the look of bow #1 that I am getting rid of to some junk bow and then transfer the bow that I like to bow #1. This method I just preserved the look of bow #1 if I ever want to go back to it?
2. With a Transmutation Crystal can I take the look of a lesser than 79 level bow and put that look onto a level 80 bow?
The main thing I am looking for is preserving the look of a current bow on a lesser bow so I save that skin so to speak if I ever want to go back to it.
Hope this makes sense!
If you like videos try
Wow these videos are amazing! Thank you so much!!!
Is there a site or a book that I can read that will teach me all about the world of Tyria along with the game lore?
That way when I am playing and see stuff it has a bigger impact on me?
Thanks!!
I was wondering if this is a good Thief build for WvW. I can solo and also help in Zerg here and there. Also, could I do basic dungeons with this build?
The main thing I want to know if it is good is the gear from this guide.

Thanks!
The Trading Post has everything you need… with a cost. Yes, the amount can’t really be farmed, some has to be bought from other players who don’t want any.
1 cob is currently going for 6 gold!
Am I missing something with this mini pet? You need 20 cobs to get it. 1 cob = 1,000 candy corn! You need 20,000 candy corn to get this pet!
I spent all last night doing the maze, mining candy corn mounds, doing runs of all the bosses in the maze and only got 130 candy corn! I still need over 19,800 to get it!
Is there an easier way to get candy corn, or am I missing something? I am not playing 24/7 until it ends to try and get 20,000 pieces.

My end game is getting the best gear for WvW and the coolest (in my view) looking gear for my guy.
That is my goal/end game. I want to have a sick looking dude running around WvW with the best stats he can have.
Seems a lot less grindy…. hmmm… Have you played GW2 yet? Anyway…
1. Dungeons give out tokens that you can trade in for certain gear. The gear’s stats vary from dungeon to dungeon, so ultimately, you would have to run one dungeon over and over for the armor stats you want. Then you can use transmutation stones and transfer stats from the dungeon armor you got to an armor set you like the looks of. Still not so grindy?2. Yes, you can buy gear in the auction house for about 25+ gold.
3. The gear you buy for PvE may not be viable in PvP or WvW. Say you buy pure berserkers gear in PvE where you don’t get hit very often, but try to take that into PvP and you will basically get 2-hit.
4. Yes, you get a separate gear set for SPvP that can be changed at any time with a PvP armor vendor.
5. Correct. Skins are just the “looks” of the armor. Example: I have two sets of boots. One I hate the looks of, but it has the correct stats. The other I really like the looks of, but it has stats I don’t want. I would use a transmutation stone to switch the stats of the ugly boots onto the looks of the awesome boots.
6. You will never be able to “pwn” noobs in this game due to level scaling (unfortunately).
1. So I want to find the Dungeon that is best for the type of character I am building?
2. Ok cool, I am only level 40ish and I already have 11g. Should be at more then 30 by level 80.
3. So if I get the best WvW gear I can, I can also use that for pve. WvW is going to be my main thing.
4. You can only wear that in Spvp correct? Not in the normal world.
5. Ok cool, so save armor sets that you love the look of? Also, is there things you can buy/find that only change the look of your set or armor into something epic?
I’m confused as to what the difference is. Someone explain please?
I need a little help explaining what to focus on and do once I hit level 80. So far I like what I am understanding. Seems a lot less grindy than most MMO’s.
Ok, so let’s say I hit level 80:
1. I can do any of the dungeons through out the world and get the same gear? Or do I focus on the level 80 dungeons to get the best gear.
2. This gear can also be bought on the auction house? (If I do not have the time to run dungeons for awhile) It’s the top gear you can get.
3. This top gear is also best for WvW.
4. I get separate PvP for gear for Spvp? (Can only be used while in SPvp?)
5. After I get my good PVE/WvW gear (which I can buy or do dungeons) The main thing I will “Grind for” is skins to make my dude look epic? P.S. How do you get skins?
6. I can now enjoy pawning newbs in WvW or enjoy doing any PVE.
Thanks for anyone who can help! Also, if I missed anything please feel free to add. Really loving this game so far!

Twitch starts soon
Nothing was mentioned Does anyone have any other idea’s?
I have that up now =D
Sadly I wasn’t around this time last year
Where does all this take place? The mad king and the events?
Also, do they decorate the whole world or only a certain area?
1) meh
2) no
3) no
4) noIf you want those things, blizzard already made a well established game for you…
No to guilds fighting guilds in Guild Wars 2?
After playing for a while there are a few things that don’t feel right to me. Or that doesn’t make 100% sense in my view.
First off let me say that I am loving this game so far, I plan on playing for a long time! For everyone one of these negatives, I could find 10 more positives to replace it.
Things that don’t seem right to me:
1) Gear. I have yet to see a level 80 who’s gear stood out to me saying, “That dude looks like he could own some crap!” Besides a few Warriors who looked cool, the gear in general doesn’t look that “epic” to me. For a level I am putting so much time/effort into getting, along with gear that I put a huge amount of time in for. I’d like the gear to look more fancy. Like the player is BA, or if you saw him in WvW you’d think twice about attacking him.
2) Zone level scaling. I get this one, you can always go back to old area’s and play them like you are still that level. Again, this takes away that “epic” feel though. Other MMO’s I remember playing, you’d beat an area and come back at max level and feel that power of being able to crush things that once gave you so much trouble. It felt like your character that you are role playing actually “advanced” and grew as a character. Things that once were hard, are no longer. Showing how far you have come. You never get to feel like you have a powerful character, things are always a struggle.
3) No Open World Pvp. I get that you don’t want spawn camping or there is no point. However, I loved that feeling while you were leveling and wondering who was going to be around a corner you turned. You truly felt like your life was in danger. Or after you have been killed, a higher level came to your aid. I get there are no fractions but maybe have guild vs guild? Example: If you are in a feud with another guild, you can kill them in your world. Guilds battling guilds, in open world. This game is called Guild Wars?
4) Mounts. Again, I get that they can take away from the world. I DO NOT support flying mounts. I want the world to still feel big, flying mounts take from that. I also get that you have Way Points. Mounts though, added to an epic feel and gave you something to progress for. That feeling when you finally reached a high enough level and enough money to get your mount. Another “epic” feel factor.
These are the main things I feel are lacking. The biggest one is probably gear. It has no epic look or BA feel to it.
Again, I love this game so far! For these small annoyances I could make a list 10x bigger about things that I love! Just wanted to see if anyone found these things similar. Thanks for your input ahead of time! :-)
I am starting a Thief and would like to know the best weapon combo. For leveling along with WvW.
Thanks!
Whoops I meant crafting!
So I can pick any crafting trait and it will be worth it? Like Jeweler and Leather working?
I started leveling a Thief recently and would like to know the best profession to choose.
I am level 8 so far and would like to do WvW in the future.
What two profession are best? I heard Leather and Weapon. I also heard that Jeweler is good too because for 3.2g or so you can get a lot of levels by learning this.
Any idea’s? Thanks!!!!
I bought this game at launch and played for the 1st month. Due to life I had to stop playing and kinda forgot about this game.
I am thinking about picking it up and starting to play again. My question is, what has really changed since launch? (You can only list big things, I understand that is a broad questions)
Is it going to be hard to get back into? Will I be extremely behind everyone?
Thanks!
Any tips or other things that you’d like to mention, feel free to!
I play GW2 on release but due to life I had to take a break. I am thinking about getting back into this game.
Few quick questions:
How is the population in the different areas? Will there be people to quest and do world events with?
Has any big changes happened?
Is pvp fun?
I was thinking about rolling a new toon and going with a thieve. Are they still pretty good?
Thanks!!!
Any other updates would be great!
