Tolerance for High and low latency defer for every gamer. I have been gaming for so long and 150 its my max limit for gaming. Its 2015 not 2004. I should think by now, any USA MMO companies would be able to supply a proxies server for those outside US to log in to.

I have decided not to buy GW2 Heart of Thorns because my Ping are really way too high to play.
I am from from Singapore.
Right now my Ping is like at 230 – 250ms at Tarnished Coast.
Can Anet make the Ping better?

It is just everyone personal opinion for Gamespot GOTY.
You need to play other MMO and SPRG games so that you can see the difference.

I didn’t vote for GW2.
I dont think GW2 is that good enough for the GOTY award.
I am voting “Hitman: Absolution” to be the game of the year instead.

Developing MMO cost 100 of millions.
Ncsoft have atleast 3 now, Wildstar, Lineage Eternal and Lineage 3 are sill in development.
I guess NCsoft are being really carefull with their budget after watching a few big companies closed and some are in the red now.

Everyone else grinding in dungeons or chilling out at Lion Arc lol.

Second chance for Anet,
if they push towards more DE in the open world and stop making more dungeons.
Improve AI on the npc, mobs and boss.
Most of this gameplay is dull as hell.
eg. on one of the lvl 65 world boss – Dragon fly up, dragon fly down, Dragon shriek, dragon fly up, dragon fly down, dragon spawn wall and giant mobs strolling by.
Rinse and repeat.
Seriously, this is 2012 not 2004.
You cannot beat WOW with this type of gameplay.
It is really sad for a 2012 MMO that want to out do WOW.

I feel that the in-game fashion and the way in which the gear design progresses is really crappy.
After just 2 months, the players would have already been able to get really cool looking gear and
because of this, I don’t think they would be bothered to get anymore skins in the Cash shop or Dungeons after that, I know I wouldn’t.
Since this game emphasizes highly on gear skin for the endgame,
Anet should maybe for instance, plan world events which award participants with nice looking armour and then maybe evolve the designs every few months or so.
For example, for the first quarter or so of 1st year, the armour should be crude and plain looking.
Then, it can slowly develop in textures and patterns, with better tabard designs, more intricate embroidery work, better hair styles, etc.
The players could get recipe drops from killing world bosses, normal mobs or even NPCs.

My suggestions in improving GW2

1) The future of MMO gaming is themepark and sandbox theme integrated together.
I want to suggest that Anet gave players 2 or 3 huge zone in Tyria for players to build their home and guild house.
Players can buy their houses in the Cities too since it is huge.

2) Stop making instance dungeon for now.
Instead place more World Bosses in all the zones that will spawn if certain chain of events are triggered.

3) Set up a department of talented programmers to focus on improving the boss, mobs and npc AI. I saw an interview and the gaming dev said that most dev refused to improve AI cos it was troublesome and it would cost the company millions.
Average players has like 5 years experience in gaming and we are sick of the standard AI of an MMO cos it all the same kitten with different skins for every game. That is why most gamer moved on in a few months it gets very dull after awhile.

Instead of adding “agony” or whatever stats, Anet should just focus making the boss and mobs AI to be the best in any MMO or SPRG.
They could make this type of boss in an open world or dungeons.

I only play GW1 trial.
I got this fashion idea by watching Star Wars movie.
The costume and space ship design progresses from crude to sleek over the years.

GW2 progressions is haywire because after 5 years it seems that dev just burnout of fashion ideas.
I should think they just copy most of the design from Aion to cut cost.

And another thing,
it is a bad idea to let players craft legendaries stuff at an early stage of a game.
Cos the carrot in this game is gear fashion and it is way too early.
I got this feeling by the end of 2 years this game would look like a Superheroes MMO.

This game really doesn’t make much sense — like I am wearing a coat over a pair of jeans and a pair of glasses while the guy standing beside me is in full medieval styled plated armour.

Try Orr, its the most annoying of all the others area.

Why don’t you try refunding your lottery tickets at the gas station after you scratch it off and see how well that goes.

What you “expect” or think you “deserve” to get out of the chests is irrelevant. At no point did Anet give any expectations as to the drop rate of the items in the chest, nor did they force you to open any chests.

You made a conscious decision to buy keys, based on whatever preconceived notions you had concerning the drop rate of items, which ultimately ended up being far removed from reality.

It’s your own fault for making assumptions and impulsively acting on it, especially if doing so was outside of what you could reasonably afford.

I really don’t see what the commotion is all about. It’s chance. It’s not like ANet said you will get new skin per 5 chests you opened.

You cannot compare with lottery cos the money from customers goes to all the charities.

If you have mounts, then each zone have to be extend by x2.
I do not want to keep getting down on my mount every 5 sec when a mob aggro me while on riding mode.

I am crashing less now from every 10 – 45 min.
Now 2 – 3 hrs then crashed.

I am getting the same problem. My 560 ti EVGA video card keeps doing the same thing. I also got 16 gb of ram. Yeah this bug is very annoying.

exact same here. 560 ti, 16 GB corsair vengeance ram.. this is the only game having issues.

hardware tested, everything is good. i’m a programmer as well and in my non-genius opinion, it looks, quacks and smells like a software issue.

I am no programmer or genius but I feels that it is a Anet software issues.
I have played so many MMO and Steam games with no crashing except for GW2.

I am getting really annoyed with this game constant crashing is getting on my nerve.

Well it seems that I only keep crashing now.
Now my toons are constantly crashing in Brigantine waypoint, Gendarran Fields.

I have the same problems too.
It started on the last 3rd day.
But is not as bad as today.
Today GW2 seems to crashed every 45 min eventho the graphics are set to min
