Simple idea, add estimated timers on to WvW queues. Too long I have sat in LA waiting on EB to open when I could have done a dungeon, this is one of the few things about GW2 that does annoy me. Shouldn’t be hard to add a rough estimate on how long it takes to get in should it ?
I’ve been around with this guild for only a few days and I already feel part of the community, I really suggest that if you’re new on Far Shiverpeaks you try these guys out, may not be the biggest guild but can feel at home here, well I do.
I have just returned to the game after about nine months away, I am currently looking for a english speaking guild to join that is NOT a wvw zerguild. I do enjoy wvw but not as a zerg. I’m open to most types of game play. I am a semi hard core / casual player. Main toon lvl 80 warrior.

It’s called Glass Cannon for a reason, Bulls Charge and hundred blades. That will knock out a good amount of there health, I can hit for about 14K I’m still building my gear.
I’ve bought berserker rings and gems to upgrade them, but the game won’t let me. I am currently trying to set up my Warriors Glass Cannon build. Is this normal or is it bugged ?
The idea behind this is quite simple and realistic. The entrances to towers and keeps if under attack are not usable by the server that holds the location, this would add realism as in when armies were attacking castles, the castles allies wouldn’t run to the gates and be let in, they would then join the battle outside of the walls. This will also make the importance of having people stationed at towers and keeps a lot stronger as they won’t be able to get in to the location.
I think that more NPC should be added to WvW but not in this way, they should be more like emergency reinforcements if a server has outmanned on, so there is not as much pressure
Just out of a near hour and a half long tower battle with Sorrows Furnace. My server just got attacked three to one odds, for near an hour and a half the outcome of the battle was anyone’s guess until SF reinforcements arrived set up three catapults to attack our wall. We held out manned and with little siege for over an hour. Comment your strange long lasting tower battles.
I agree and stand by the LOTRO guild AWOL system, after 35 days of the leader not being online, a message is sent to the next highest rank offering them the position of leadership, this keeps going down the chain of command till after 100 of the guild having no leader it is disbanded.
2 solution, In the guild panel press the up and down arrow about the rank icons, and it will filter the ranks highest to lowest.
I think it would be a good idea if large groups of people in WvW showed up on the map, this would then stop or at least slow down massive zerg party’s if the other teams can see where they are and roughly how many of them there are. How it would work: If there’s 10 people in a close area to each other a yellow dot shows up on the map, 20 people orange dot, 30 people red dot 60+ people black dot. This would limit the surprise element of WvW, this will also give commanders more information on where they are going to commit there forces too.
I agree somewhat, there is way too much water on WvW maps it needs to be taken down a little, but not completely removed. If WvW water was changed it should be like a river running the width of the map but only rifle range wide. The river could then be very deep and support underwater cave system thus doubling the amount of playable map available, with the ability to fight near purely on land or underwater. For land, I would like to see trenches placed where the water is now that give buffs like toughness for being entrenched and with far larger NPC garrisons.
I run Xfire in GW2. Works great, got my box on screen that shows whos talking.
I agree with most of this, several MMOs have this function such as EVE. STO etc … I would how ever change the join button to an apply, this would let the guild leadership know that someone is looking to join there guild, this could be done by notifying them by mail or something.
I came up with this as a solution to the guild alliance problem, so here it is: Let us create chat channels out side map, party, guild etc. This would then allow several guilds to communicate, allow people to get advise from a large base of people and allow people in WvW to request help out side of there WvW map. This would solve alot of problems. This shouldn’t be that hard to implement Areanet, Its just Party or Squad chat but on a bigger scale. Please do this.

Hey Anet, it would be great if we had the ability to send messages to the entire WvW map. This could be implemented through a single use consumable ie “Distress call” this would then allow who ever used it the ability to send a message to all three worlds. This would allow for more players to be able to come and support either an attacking or defending force, this would allow for a greater amount of players to be active in WvW if they don’t know where the main fighting is taking place.
Hey all, I like to play a warrior. I normally use a sword and shield as well as a rifle. I am unsure where to really put my trait points for WvW and PvP. If anyone could offer any advice it will be most helpful, thanks.
If explosives were to be put in WvW, I would to see a keep upgrade called minefield that sets mines up in a area around the keep. (not fixed spawn). This would make siege of a keep alot more unpredictable as you don’t know where the mines are. Mines: mines should either be one hit kills to who ever stood on the mine and bleeding and confusion on people near by, aswell as dealing serious damage to siege equipment.
Hey all, I think there should be the ability to deploy defenses in WvW sort of like siege equipment, but more defensive roll, that offer buffs to things like toughness and critical chance etc .. The items could be like sandbags to allow you to entrench a path or road, stake walls that don’t require a huge effort to bring down but would slow the advance of an enemy force.
I think it would be great if the (walls) between the servers were removed and replaced by open sea. There are already ships in guildwars, so add ship yards remove the Waypoints in to other servers and use the ships to travel between the servers fight at sea with Fleets this could be added to the WvW guild tab allowing guilds to provide a more critical role in WvW. This would allow for far more realistic warfare, requiring commanders to think about can they get reinforcements from there own server if the enemy server cut off there beachhead (where waypoints will be). It will also balance the difference in server populations as it will let servers keep the enemy server from getting constant reinforcements and will give a meaning to dying in WvW as if your servers beachhead was cut off you couldn’t re-spawn on that server, allowing for more realism and the introduction of more tactics.
I am on a high population server and normally run in WvW, I don’t think its fair that a high population server is put up against a very high population server, because they always out number us least 5-1 so we can never really take thing in WvW without losing our entire map. So can the WvW maps be re balanced so the populations are about the same so one server doesn’t just overpower everything with shear numbers.
I Play a warrior, I normally play in WvW can hold my own on most things but I get totally destroyed when fighting thief’s I just can’t kill them, I get them down to about 1/4 health by then im dead. At the moment im using the Signet build for higher crit aswell as the extra power. Any help/advice is much appreciated.
I do agree with the point’s, but WvW doesn’t have the environmental effects to really give any depth of tactics ie. no flanking damage if I shoot you in the back you take the same damage as in the front, No terrain buffs like if standing behind or on a wall there’s no toughness buff, tho there should be as you are “entrenched” as it were. WvW as it is without these terrain modifications can’t really be brought to with tactics as there is no difference is you attack from the front or flank.
Hey all, not sure what its like on other servers or what party of the world your in, I think some Guild Tags need to be limited of what they can be. Just seen a guild with BNP as there tag, to those that don’t know the BNP is a right winged party, quite racist to anyone who knows what they stand for. It would be like someone creating a KKK guild tag. There needs to be some limits on the what the tags can be.
The new dailies are horrible, dodger is near impossible and vet killing dailies has just led to vet spawns being camped and made near impossible to complete. WE WANT OLD DAILIES BACK !! If its not broken don’t fix it
We (FFF) had this sort of problem before, The deep cave is a add on to the trove and operates under the trove permissions. To solve this lets say threat, we have our bank set with the trove for masterwork-rare gear with Senior member access on it and use the guild stash for Exotics and Legendary’s that’s got permissions of for us Treasurer or above, Just split up the gear you can’t afford to lose and the rest of the crap.
I know about this, But the point I was trying to make was that you should be able to play music in-game that others can hear.
As you all know in GW2 you can’t play music. By this I mean you can play any music that you want to play. Anyone who has played LOTRO should know that you can download an ABC music file and then be able to play it in game. I think having that in GW2 would really make guild social meetings and group gatherings more fun and a gives a needed break from the repetitive in game music.

Hey all, was just wondering if anyone else has ran across the black cat that sits up on a near un-reachable platform above the Western Divinity Dam, It’s just totally static and don’t know what it dose. Anyone know why it’s there.
Hey, I’m sure those of you who are in to WvW have came across the problem of being swamped on a dead map without the ability to call for help. I suggest a new chat tab that allows for you to either talk with all 4 Battle grounds or be able to talk back to Lions Arch to be able to call for help, This could be added as a possible commander ability. Or a distress call item (single use) that would send the message to all area’s of Tyria.
Hey all, as you know once you have access to the bank you can take as much as you like, this is a problem as what happens when someone reaches the rank in my guild member, as we have a policy of take what you need, i would like to see the ability to limit how much gear and money a rank can take out of the bank, so they can’t empty it all and leave.

I have been playing in WvW and have noticed it provides no terrain bonuses, thus removes the ability for true tactics and for the ability for a smaller force to be able to take down a larger one out side of keeps or towers, Improvements I would like to see would be: entrenchment buffs if behind a wall or high ground, ability to deploy entrenchments in the field such as barricades or sandbags (even just for commanders) type of things to allow small raiding or guerrilla warfare to be implemented successfully and effectively. At current WvW battles in the open are really jut decided on what side has more people and not the tactics of fire and retreat to a entrenched position so they could hold out for support or be able to destroy or rout the enemy force.
Anyone else think that having in guild mail, as an mailing option would be worth having, as the message of the day just doesn’t cut it on its own, as it dose not guarantee that everyone has seen it, this could also be solved if the message of the day was mailed to you when it has been changed or comes up in the chat bar when you first log in.
