Hello,
the changes sound pretty good, and I’m happy that you are looking for feedback. My question is if and how you plan the fix the population issue, which is the most sereve problem in wvw (expect maybe in the highest tiers). This causes the most player bleed in my opinion. Are the going to be blogposts or any future annoucements soon, regarding the other glaring issue of WvW.

I wish you all happy holidays and hope that you keep your newfound spirit to improve wvw (and actually listening to the players).

They didn’t confirm/mention any chances to the ranking system yet, so I guess it will stay as it currently is.

Miller´s Sound for 3 years. I don´t pay my money for a mess that is exclusively to blame on the shoulders of the designer. I would even stay if I would have enough money to burn it in the garden for my personal enjoyment, even with it being a junk full of unreasonable Skritts sometimes.^^

I too have been on Miller’s Sound since I started playing GW2 almost 2years ago.

I’m on NA and my EU ping is usually around 200ms, very much playable. But for you here’s a suggestion. Amazon’s services have amazing connectivity between their own services. You can try to take advantage of that.

Make an account on AWS, fire up an EC2 box nearest to you. Test connectivity. If there is no packet loss, this might actually work. Create a 2nd AWS account and fire up a similar box somewhere on EU’s datacenters. Then, using OpenVPN, route all your traffic to the NA box, then to EU box, and then to GW2 servers.

This might take quite some time and effort to set up but I believe it will help you. A private VPN directly to EU. Best of all, it’s free for 1 year…

Might be easier to use a socks5 tunnel using ssh and proxifier (you have to pay after 30 days/idk if there is an opensource alternative). That’s what I did and it worked like a charm.

Last time I checked you could just ignore the publics and do your own thing and/or create a guild with likeminded people. No one would care if you just fight/gvg/etc every evening.
We (and other low tier server too) have a bunch of hardcore players, a lot of the guilds here run meta builds.

Of course you can move up but from my experience skilllevel does not drastically improve, but coverage. We also know that place 1 = most skill – so better transfer to SFR. I also don’t think that any server in gold is the sacred server with just hardcore people that only run metabuilds (I do also believe that the percentage of hardcore/casual is pretty similar on most server).
Would be better to find a solution instead of transfering away all the time.

Yes we have some people that run custom and not perfect builds, but this a) doesn’t apply to whole server, b) last time I checked people can run what they want, c) we play wvw to have fun and gvgs (or blobs vs blobs) to be competitive and d) you transfered off the server a few months ago, which I respect but please stop sprouting kitten about millers.

Go stack on one of the goldservers (you’re on piken aren’t you?) and enjoy your skillful staff #1 guard gameplay in 80vs80.

Belka can be done less lazily using triple kit + your crate turrets to tank it, but you need to maintain pretty high DPS (expensive food + stacks) else you’ll probably need to out of combat at least once.

Alphard can almost certainly be done much faster using Bombs/Flamethrower/Toolkit or Elixir Gun + Rifle, but I don’t really plan on solo’ing Alphard again soon enough to compare times.

Did you have to change trinkets/gear or nah? Listing that off would be nice. For example soloing orbs is incredibly reliable on an elementalist but it requires a lot of cleric’s gear etc.

Minigrump uses cleric gear with water runes. Weapons/Trinkets are still zerk (atleast in this video)

(It’s late and I’m tired, but I hope this makes sense.)
I both played engineer and elementalist (and some guard) in WvW. Engineers arent bad for zerging and they can do well, but they get outclassed by GWEN. You would rather have another warrior/guard/ele/necro. Some examples:

Warbanner (battle standard) vs Elixir R
Stand your Ground vs Elixir B
Even the normal hammer weaponskillset is better than bomb kit (It provides a nice aa, but thats it basically)

You don’t need another firefield if you got some eles. You also don’t need the waterfields as they are inferior to the eles one (shorter and less reliable). Also our weapons either inflict a lot of condition damage or single target cc ir damage and not so much utility. Pistol/Shield + bomb kit is not as good as a staff ele or a hammer/s+w warrior or a staff/gs guard. What the engineer lags is a reliable source of stability and a defensive/team focused weapon set.

You might want to add if you’re EU or NA (or you doesn’t care) and your general timezone.

Livemaps, Livemaps, livemaps. They’re nice as a roamer, but mandatory for a driver. It does happen that you’ll run in a camp witb RI from time to time, but you should try to avoid it. I’d suggest dual monitors or an overlay.

My server (bronze t7 eu) does special events from time to time, where we just try to destroy enemy waypoints. This usually ends with a lot of golems, fun and some keeps. What I’m trying to say is:
- Get in touch with your servers WvW community. There might be similar events or you could organize one yourself / ask one of the more experienced commanders to host one. Believe it or not most WvW players love to smash enemy (t3) keeps and won’t complain
