That’s all good. I don’t PvP. It’s not my thing.
Well I’ll definitely take a look at it during the weekend. Right now I have a super fun Bleeding build that I don’t know if I want to give that up for Torment if its not substantial. Especially if the burning dmg is minimal. I guess I should have expected that with the Guardian elite spec coming out though.
I just feel I’m missing something obvious and need someone to point it out. And I want to say this first, I don’t research the entire campaign before I play it. I haven’t looked through traits, skills, etc.
All I have seen is the trailer during the live announcement and then some general gameplay from the after show.
I want some surprise when I play, but at the same time, I’m too impatient to wait til the preview weekend.
So here is what I see:
Scourge gets a Torch, which I think is awesome cuz I have a condi necro. But from what I’ve watched a Scourge tends to slap Torment on enemies. Now that’s fine too. But when I heard the grandmaster trait makes your torments also burn, then I realized torment is going to be more common than burning. And from seeing the other elite specializations, I know that boons are suppose to be a big thing this campaign and the scourge can corrupt them.
But from my perspective as a PvE player, enemies don’t give themselves boons all the time. Enemies don’t move around a lot (unless you’re kiting melee enemies) which kinda makes Torment not as good.
Am I overthinking something? Am I missing stuff that will be obvious come the preview weekend?
Thanks for any clarification.
It’s Scarlet Briar.
It’s Scarlet Briar.
and seeing flaming death crystals crashing into a human city…it gave me PTSD flashbacks of the Searing.
Thanks for that.

Soon…I’ll totally set it on fire.
I use 4 Superior Runes of the Nightmare and 2 of the Trapper for Raids and such.
Something that I always enjoyed in PvE was Runes of the Krait (super bleed increase) plus I loved the #6 paired with Chilled to the Bone.
King of Plagues. He has been my main for over 10 years now. He has seen some kitten. But still wishes you happy playing.
I am the confused. That video is 2 years old. Everything is so out of date. What were you hoping for by posting it now?
What survivability do you lose without Soul Reaping if you have all the lifesteal from Blood Magic?
Not only that but Shroud 3 and Elite are not stun breakers.
Hey guys,
My power Reaper is currently running Spite, Blood Magic, and obviously Reaper. However, I was only really using Spite for Closer to Death and Siphoned Power.
But if I were to swap out Spite for Soul Reaping, specifically for Death Perception, then go with Scholar Runes and just sit in Reaper Shroud as long as possible to get that 10% damage boost, would that be a better way to go?
Aaaaaaand GO!
Generic Necromancer joke: “Why all the hate towards Necromancers? All they want to do is raise a family.”
I’m not a big fan of a staff on a power Reaper. I like D/Wh + GS, but that’s just me. I would like a ranged weapon, but staff is too slow and more condi-based IMO, and I never liked Axe.
What exactly changed that the drop in DPS was so huge? If the change to Scorched Earth was so huge, then how often were you setting things on fire before? In other words, what was it before the 0.5 secs?
Thank the 6, all norn spirits, the great alchemy, the pale mother, and our lord and savior Rytlock. My Tempest tank has been awaiting this day since HOTs release!!
Trailblazer’s on a Tempest? Brave soul.
Bump must be 15 characters…
I guess they must respond to support tickets…
Don’t count on that. I sent them a support ticket and they said send in game bug reports and post on forums. They were very adamant on not wanting me to send more support tickets.
Obligatory bump has to be 15 characters!
Someone in the Upcoming Balance Changes: Week of December 14, 2015 thread commented that Trailblazer doesn’t work in the MF by design. I wanted to hug that person. Around the neck. With a rope. Why would 1 out of 6 of the new prefixes not work?
Balancing skills and debugging runes are good updates to make, but how about Trailblazer’s insigs cannot be thrown into the Mystic Forge to do the armor stat swap? Instead, I am seeing visual and audio updates take priority. Why is this a thing?
News flash, when underlying the armor is vastly more difficult/expensive to produce, they’re not gonna let you sidestep that extra expense with the MF. By Design. Sorry.
But you can with Vipers and the other new Prefixes? That doesn’t make any sense at all. If 1 out of the 6 new Prefixes is designed to not work in the MF, it should be specifically stated somewhere.

Semi-daily bump has to be 15 characters.
Fix the issue with Trailblazer Insignias and Inscriptions not working in the Mystic Forge!
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/BUG-Trailblazer-s-Stat-Swap-Merged/first
I really hope this will be fixed tomorrow. But the preview on Dulfy doesn’t instill hope.
Daily bump that must be at least 15 characters…
Whats the best selections for the in-game bug report? I thought user interface, but I wasnt sure. Suggestions?
I have also spent a good time investing in getting the ley-line crystals to get the exotic recipe, then the amount of gold to get the materials to change from Dire Stats to Trailblazer, only to find that I cannot even select it to put into the Mystic Forge. Please, please, please get this fixed as I’ve changed my legendary weapons to this stat easy enough but my armour and other ascended weapons cannot. This is driving me somewhat barmy!
I feel you Hora Fotia…I feel you
My daily bump, this is pretty ridiculous.
I don’t understand why visual and sound effects would be more important than something like this. This is an actual game mechanic, this is gameplay that is not happening. Aesthetics shouldn’t be a higher priority.
Hello,
I’m trying to switch my Dire armor to Trailblazer’s but when I open the Mystic Forge window, the Intricate Gossamer Insignias I have do not appear in the list of items I can throw in. Guild members have switched their armor stats to Viper’s so I know it is not all HoT prefixes that are affected. You can see in the attached screenshot that I have the insigs in my inventory, but they are not in the MF window.
Any helpful news would be great,
Thanks
Second question: If I wanted a few characters in the pic, would it be 50 gold per person or would we get some sort of bulk discount?
I was thinking about that last night actually, I’d be thrilled to do that Gw1 armor is sooo beautiful.
Well looks like I’ll be saving up my gold then. I want to see my Necromancer from GW1 like this. Also a question about the additional pet/minion fee. Is that PER pet/minion or just in general?
Does it have to be our GW2 characters? Could I give you screenshots of my GW1 character instead? I would still send you GW2 reference shots (poses, effects, etc) but I would want the actual appearance to be my GW1 character.

I’ve been wanting to host one for a while. My plan is to find unique things in game that (hopefully) appear in only one spot in all Tyria. I would give clues about where it is and it would be up to you to find it and report back to me.
However, I only have 2 such unique things so far. So I call out to the community! If you have found something interesting or unique in game that you haven’t seen anywhere else, then I want to know!
So now the most important part: What can the “thing” be?
Anything! As long as it is unique and not something commonly known/found.
Here are some examples of unique things (but will not be used because they ARE commonly known):
NPC- Gravekeeper Dumpy (only human npc I’ve seen walking around a graveyard)
Bundle item- Pillows used in the explorable path of Caudecus’ Manor (pillows stick to walls btw)
Some random in game occurrence- The Hunter’s Lodge in Queensdale has a Moa of every color, save black because HoM (insert racist joke here because I know someone will)
But those are just examples, it can anything! Use your imagination!
In conclusion, if you are interested in taking part of this scavenger hunt and/or have some ideas for it, then please private message me:
1- the actual thing
2- where it is located/how to get to it if its difficult to find
I ask you to PM it to me because if I do use your suggestion, I wouldn’t want people coming on this thread for easy answers.
Let’s make this happen!
Because this topic has lasted a long time but I do not have the will nor the patience to read through the entire thing, I’m just going to add my two cents and assume it hasn’t been previously mentioned:
Ascalon was not originally Human lands. It was Charr territory to begin with. The Charr technically took it back with the Searing. The Foefire then gave it back to the Charr because the Humans, for all intents and purposes, were finally defeated. Yes you can make the argument that they just rematerialize indefinitely, but they no longer have a control over the physical world. No more forts, no more keeps, no more Great Wall.
Hey all,
I have a friend who would like to play GW2 but has a very real phobia of spiders. I know he would definitely get the game if we could change those models. I know people played around with Texture mods in GW1 so I was hoping if anyone transitioned it to GW2.
Any help will be appreciated.
I don’t want this thread to be buried, especially since this problem hasn’t been fixed yet. I have HWMonitor, Prime95, OCCT, and CPU-Z but I am not tech savvy enough to really understand it. If someone could explain what I should be looking at it and how I should use these apps, that would be great. Also, if anyone would like to see my PC specs, I would be more than happy to display it. But because I am computer illiterate, I am not sure specifically where to get what you would want to see. So just let me know.
How could a power supply issue only happen while playing GW and not every time I play GW? Wouldn’t it be consistent?
Hello all,
Pretty self explanatory, while I play GW2 my computer completely shuts down with no warning. I cannot replicate the issue in anyway. I am not doing anything specific in game, I do not have any specific running outside of the game. And it does not do it every time I run the game, but it does seem to do it at least once a day. I have contacted the tech supports of the company I bought the computer from, but both they and I agree that it is not an hardware issue. I do not have this problem with other games and I have just recently reformatted (thinking it was a corrupt memory issue), but the problem persists. I have also ruled out the possibility of my computer over heating. I have searched and found similar threads about this, but they were months old and things could have changed drastically since then. Let me be clear that I have had this game since release and this issue has only started happening within the last week.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I understand there will be info some people may want to look at, so by all means ask and I will do my best to post it ASAP.
Thanks
Hey guys,
I searched but I only found threads with no definite answers on this topic, so here is my shot. Persisting Flames increases the duration of Lava Font. Or rather it is suppose to. With both Persisting Flames and Pyromancer’s Alacrity I am led to believe that you can have 2 lava fonts up at the same time for about 1.25 seconds. However, this is not the case. Lava Font lasts only its defaulted 4 seconds but instead does 2 extra ticks of damage. I want to know if that is intended.
Also, if you have the Blasting Staff Arcana trait, lava font’s tool tip does NOT show the correct duration time, it shows the 4 seconds. Let me specify that with or without Blasting Staff, it does not last the full 6 seconds. I have tested these scenarios.
Apparently a number of people have posted this, but like I said, no definite answers came of it. At least not that I saw. Of course, they were not in the Game Bugs thread. If I am wrong point me in the right direction.
(edited by lordpathos.1425)
Heyo,
You guys probably knew what I was gonna ask just by the title. We all know what Persisting Flames does. But it does not actually increase the duration of Lava Font on my end. Is that intended? In Lava Font’s case is it only suppose to increase the number of damage ticks? I was under the impression that you could actually have 2 Lava Fonts up at once, although for a very short while. Since the duration would be 6 seconds and the cooldown is less that 5.
Something else I found odd that if I have the Blasting Staff trait equipped, the blue text in Lava’s Font’s tool tip that signifies some sort of change to the original spell, does NOT show the 6 second duration, it shows just the default 4. Unequip Blasting Staff, it changes back to 6.
If this could be clarified for me that would be great.
Aaaaaaand go!
There is a conga line of ranger bots that roams Altar Brook Vale. They just run on a very consistent path and attack anything that comes within range. Destroy it!
