Charr and Asura female precursor armor

Yes, please, please change the armour on charr and asura. All things considered, it just looks off, and kinda bad honestly.
If you’re going to have bras and boob plates on charr, at least give them 6 because if you’re gonna go silly, might as well go all the way.

Feedback on HoT Stress Test [merged]

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

The stress beta worked very well, but nothing broke. Which was a little bit disappointing.

- Very good improvement to personal story in the first instance. It was nice to see the characters actually talk to each other.
- Rev was feeling a bit slow with the armour, weapons, traits and legends provided. But then again, it was the same as in demos for people who might now have played so I can’t complain. Really want to see more damage and burst oriented Rev in action though. Hammer was a bit wonky at times. The whole thing was a bit too chaos-y for me to have a solid opinion on mace/axe tho
- The mastery screen was a bit too hidden (found it by accident), confusing and big in my opinion. Clicked stuff, didn’t have any idea if my masteries were actually spent before I actually used the glider. Needs a better implementation imo
- Dumbed down wyvern was still pretty fun!
- I didn’t have any lag or DC issues during the little while I played in the test.
- Please let us play something else than humans in future betas.
- The event chain after personal story was pretty simple, but fun. I really want to see the whole event system in the map in action for a better opinion though.

Thank you Anet for letting us try it out though! Here’s for successful future betas

Thanks for being so quick to fix a low impact bug that amuses and delights the players.

Any chance that some of the more serious bugs that really annoy players and hurt the game could be looked into any time soon?

Ah yes the joys of low impact constant annoying noise and lag because of stuff that never despawns. How evil of Anet to fix things that can cause serious issues in the longer run!

Please Stop Destroying Everything

Imo we need some changes for the world on a smaller, more character personal level. On some specific characters it could still be a huge change for the story. Destroying stuff and death only takes you so far and gets really boring after a while. Seriously, enough with that, please. It’s getting more stale than a 10 year old cracker. There are so many much more interesting ways to tell a story than killing and destroying things. Places and people naturally change over time without bad stuff happening, too. That would be a great thing to bring in after we blew up so many things. Show us the seed of our and Trahearne’s hard work in Orr, the land finally starting to cleanse or Lion’s Arch being built again, or maybe the racial capitals expanding? Maybe we could finally help the Zephyrites rebuild what they lost?

And we haven’t seen any change with some story important characters in 2 years either. Or even the less important ones from the Personal Story, I’d love to see my old friends again! What have they been up to for the last 2 years? Where’s Malyck? Did he finally find his tree? Why don’t we bring him back and go see his tee? Why don’t we give Trahearne a cute salad boyfriend or something? What’s up with your old warband? Or Arlon and Pellam? Dagdar and Eladus?? Or your old krewe, what have they done in the last 2 years, I mean it’s 2 years and a smart krewe working on things! There are so many things you could do with the personal story characters, hopefully without death and destrcution and I’m sure that more than a handful of them have left huge impressions on the community.

.He, by far is a driving force, as all you ever see him do is taking credit for what you did, while he is sitting there is his nice, cozy camp.

Taking credit of what, you waving your sword after he gave you clear orders, planned what to do for you? After he trusted you to pick between 2 of his plans, which he crafted for you with his knowledge? He’s a marshal, he does not just “sit in his cozy camp”, he does all the boring background and paperwork for the whole Pact while you’re slashing around with your sword or staff or whatever and getting his men killed. He may sit around but all of that consists of multiple things, not just being there and waiting for you to come back. If he’s to lead a whole army force, he’s got a lot of kitten to do. More than you by all means.

And Trahearne getting the credit? You get all the credit in the story anyway. What appreciation Trahearne gets compared to you is pathetically low. He’s the one to plan EVERYTHING and you are to execute. You don’t deserve any more credit than he does, if even that much. Stop repeating this “but muh credits” stuff like a broken record.

There would literally be nothing positive about killing Trahearne story-wise, lol. Let’s just kill the marshall thats immune to non-Mordy corruption, is order neutral and respected by all 3 Orders due to him spending his whole life studying, knows a load about dragons, planned everything for you in Orr and trusts your judgements enough to let you do the sword waving, let’s just lose our driving force in dragon slaying knowsn as the Pact because they sure as hell aren’t letting the order biased first commander lead it… And all just bc some 15 year olds are mad they didn’t get the Skyrim Dragonborn level credit in PS lol. ITS SUCH A GOOD IDEA GAIZ
That you hate a character doesn’t mean killing them off would be awesome or beneficial. You’re just being a baby.

Mounts

luxymonsteri.1078

Are you REALLY sure you want mounts in a game that has small maps and loading screens every 5 minutes? They would literally add nothing to the game except 10 more loading screens when getting from point A to point B. GW2 is not tailored for mounts at all.
No mounts. Go back to wow. Or wildstar. I don’t care.

[Suggestion] Mounts?

The MMOs that have mounts are (mostly?) seamless with huge worlds, with no stuff like WPs, so you either gotta get a ""taxi"" service to a major city or an outpost, or well, run or use a mount. They serve the function of crossing long distances in games like that less painful, like waypoints do in this game.
GW2 doesn’t have a huge seamless world, it has waypoints and seriously, what the heck are you gonna do with a mount when you gotta sit through a loading screen after a short while anyway, in between every single zone, which are not even that big. And somehow I have a feeling you’d be dismounted every time you change the zone.
Not only that but what kind of a cosmetic impact would they serve in a game like GW2 anyway, sitting on a horse while afking in DR? Wow, such horse. Much function. Etc.

Nope just the Sylvari. Besides, they’re not real living beings, just plants. Best fit for heating homes.

so much sylvari favoritism

in Living World

Posted by: luxymonsteri.1078

luxymonsteri.1078

Sylvari are the only race that do not have a lot of GW1 material backing up their lore and appearances, and considering how new they are, they need all the attention they can simply get. Their lore still has huge gaps to fill, their culture is still a bit on the “meh??” side when looked at in-game. And Trahearne didn’t save us from Zhaitan (nor did Caithe) but he gave us a way to get to Zhaitan by sacrificing his whole salad life to charting, exploring and studying Orr. :P

And really, if you want to talk about favouritism, look at the humans. They had the whole GW1 for themselves and yet still the most lore-important characters are mostly human.

Don't Make Precursors Craftable

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: luxymonsteri.1078

luxymonsteri.1078

This. Exactly, this. I think the worst possible solution would be to make precursors (and legendaries) craftable and sellable…

So, in about a month or two every player will walk around in LA with a Twilight :S
That’s utterly boring and completely unchallenging.
I like the possibility of a specific precursor deplete from TP completely. So, you never know when or where you’ll get one, but sure feels epic when you do get one. And not everyone will walk around with the same legendary weapon around.

Crafting=Booooring! How many times do I have to say that?

The crafting of ascended and legendaries is already painful as it is, but don’t make everything craftable.

That precursors would be craftable doesn’t mean that everyone will be walking with a legendary in a few months. Legendaries are made of other components than the precursors too, and they take a fair amount of time to get. And if Anet made them craftable, it doesn’t mean that they’d make it very easy either. Precursors are supposed to be high in value, and their recipes would probably end up being that way, as it should be. It would only take away the randomness factor from it, which is you know, the thing that annoys people. Crafting is way, way less boring than grinding for gold or throwing all the rares or exos you might find to the toilet. Grinding for gold several hours doing dungeons and running in Orr? Boooo~oooooring!

But of course, it’s not like you would ~~get it~~, considering your terrible attitude lmao

Yeah sorry but no, no this is not good at all. Between the better colours and glow, I’ll have the colours, because in the end they play to the overall much more than the glow that can only be seen during the night. I personally don’t like the way the armour looks like with shaders either.
Yeah, sorry, the old one’s better. But you tried though. E for effort.

E-mail associated w/ account disabled

So I contacted the support team about this problem buuuut they didn’t help much.

So, I accidentally deleted the whole e-mail account (thanks to intoxication and Google’s failed child security) associated with my GW2 account, so I for as an example, I can’t get the Order ID/invoice number which would be required for me to validate my identity so I could change the e-mail associated with my account. I’m really worried about some security issues that come with a legitimately dead mail.

Would I be still able to request for a change, or do I simply have to deal with this?
