I want a Steam Creature Tonic or Costume. It’s Already in the game! Just let me turn it on and off. It’s sooooo cute!
Still broken! Can I get any support
?
I know you fixed Final Rest. Do the same please!
Final Rest was broken too. As seen here:
Fix our staves!
Bump, Please fix!
Bumping to attract some support…
The Great Destroyer’s Talon has a few animation issues. I’m hoping something can be done to rectify this. It does cost quite a bit of money to make and all….
Also someone else’s thread about it’s revenant attack.

Felt like saying that whoever is making the soundtrack for the new living story season is doing a great job.
I love the new expansion, WvW, and the game in general. So allow me to elaborate before there’s a misunderstanding:
While there are certainly some issues in WvW, these banners are simply an i-win button for a single person against (like Bearded said above) 50+ people. No single person should be granted that kind of power in a mass scale combat game. Isn’t the philosophy behind a fair WvW strategy supposed to be if, two opposing armies of equal sized players and power fought a battle, the team with better coordination and tactics would come out victorious? Not, who can dragon banner who first.
If I’m a commander and I rally my guild into a 30-man composition with specific classes and builds for each person (a massive amount of coordination), and I march my squad out there to EBG to take on an equally menacing looking army; only to be trollollolled wiped by a single person insta-casting a 25k ground based AoE that’s not even subject to the limits of traditional player cap. Why would I even bother to go back out there to fight them again? WvW would just turn into dragon banners dueling each other.
I mean, Bearded said it above, he single-handedly destroyed a 60+ man group by pressing 5. I’m sure it was fun for him though. So again I ask, what was the point of banners? Are you trying to kill the WvW population?
The point must have been a kind of test;
How much will it take before we can make the people who play for fights in WvW disgusted with the game, so only the people who share our “game mode vision” in WvW are left! Huzzah to the remaining confused PvE players that use WvW for a crafting haven!
When I saw that a guild mission was to escort dolyaks, and you needed three people for each one. I knew how disconnected ANET was from WvW players.
Good idea, I have a Planetside 2 account I forgot about for awhile.
So far that’s 2 people on the thread that say they’ve been on the map when it’s been queued or closer to full. Of everyone complaining, that’s 2.
I don’t think everyone would ignore WvW if they took out EBG, by the way. And I didn’t say take it out forever, just take it out for a week to see. There’s really no harm in trying these things. People didn’t quit for golem week any quicker than they’re quitting for the current state of WvW.
I didn’t log onto GW2 other than the 30 seconds it takes to get the dailies during the entire golem week. About have my guild did the same. I’m curious now 19 days later if you still have the same view about just closing EB and hoping for the best. LOL
The gimmicks went to far. To much nonsense with shrines, jump pads and events that destroy all your gates.
I agree Liston, I’m in the same boot. I have tons of kinda useless ranks now.
PRO’s of desert BL.
Unique in the game.
Cool nooks and crannies.
New tower/lord champions.
Con’s (much bigger list)
No incentive to play WvW still persists.
Get 10x more loot in PvE.
Loot and WvW lvl progress promotes capturing and flipping of keeps and towers, rather than killing enemies and defending existing structures.
Massive expense in leveling guilds and guild buffs means no one wants to upgrade or use any of the tactivator stuff. In fact I haven’t seen a single one used once while I play. My guild that has 10 online each night and is lvl 20 has no interest in the expense of WvW buffs.

Someone has to say it. Why is Loot in WvW so unbelievably bad? I mean how much loot trading is Anet so concerned about that you kill your entire game mode for it? Why can I not receive even HALF the loot I might get in Silverwastes/new HoT Maps?
I mean how aware are you Anet that your wvw focused guilds are pretty much the same people since launch.
If you don’t provide incentive to play WvW, AKA with LOOT. How is WvW going to persist as a game mode people have interest in playing?
At this point the day CU comes out is probably the day GW2 WvW dies. I’m not seeing a WvW strategy that is promotes the continued health of WvW when CU does come out. The player base considers a lot of things and considers the future game market when making decisions. [ Hmm should I spend $50 right now when I might not be playing this game in 4 months?]
All I see and alot of others in my guild see is a development team focused on making things look cool and interesting on the surface and not considering big picture interactions. [ Pushing sales] Its not like wvw players don’t buy stuff on the gems store.
P.S. I spent money ( IRL [gem conversion] and gold) on personal guilds and bought favor, specifically to claim and upgrade structures. Now all completely useless.

So I have an alt and a main, both paid. I have purchased the expansion on one and don’t intend to get it on the alt. I choose which account I play by using two different shortcuts with the; -password, – email, commands on them. Is this going to be an issue when the expansion drops? They both use the same game files…
My current plan is to just use the hammer and try to tank up. No gyros.
It worked when I went to dry top…
I just bought it yesterday and I tried to use it in WvW and in Divinities Reach. It won’t work….. what gives? On engineer, no idea if that matters…
This only started happening to me after the December patches!
This is very frustrating. This is completely unacceptable! Please fix this bug!
I have moved the camera and that didn’t work. I will try the two mouse buttons next time it happens.
So this issue has happened 3 times now and each time I had to restart the game to fix it. I will be running around WvW and everything is normal suddenly while fighting (2x) or running in a straight line (x1) my forward and backwards keys reverse. Meaning that since I use ESDF, E is back and D is forward. This is extremely annoying and has resulted in my death both times!
I completely agree that removing white swords is a massive mistake. Even in T2 on FA we respond to white swords; there isn’t scouts posted all the time. Only full servers like SoS can afford to have 10-15 people just scouting at all times.
Rewards for scouting better be massive if you remove white swords, and I mean GOLD not silver. Think Dungeon rewards. If I can spend 10 min doing CoF p1 and get 1.5g. I should be getting at least a Gold an hr if I am spending hours scouting and patrolling.
Hi, I wanted to know if there has been any changes in credit card fraud policies in the last year.
The reason I bring this up is because my old account was banned after my mother reported a charge on it that she didn’t know was me. I had permission from her to use the card and she emailed Anet back about it but I guess it was too late.
I know my account still exists I guess because I got an email to play the living story for it…..
Server merges will not save the problem. Poeple wil migrate, either to other servers or to other games. Take Vizunah Square as example. Long time no. 1 wvw server in EU with a nearly 24/7 coverage. In spring they lost a lot of wvw players and are currently ranked 15th.
The question to ask is, why players are asking for rebalancing wvw. It’s not because they loosing fights in open field. You can easily outnumbered while running around. And not the bigger team wins every fight. A good guild can take down a public zerg with double size quit easily.
Poeple are asking for rebalancing wvw because the loose the match because of points. The server with better overall coverage wins.
So, how can you balance this? Here some ideas I have in mind.
Keeps, towers and supply camps are harder to capture
If a server has lesser player on a map, their keeps, towers and supply camps are harder to capture. For example: Server A and B have 84 players on a map, server C only 47. If server A tries to capture a tower from server B, there will be no different to now. But if server A tries to capture a tower from server C, it will be harder. Either they will get a debuff or the walls, doors and lords a stronger. (To take down the lord of a supply camp of an outnumbered server as hard as to take down the champion commander siegerazer.) The debuff will be removed if players from server A left or players of server C join the map.
Balancing points per tick
The points per tick are based on players on all maps. If a server has more players on all maps together, it will get lesser points for their objects.
devide a match into rounds
Break down matches to a shorter rounds. Every 6 or 8 hours a round will end and all points will be reset. (Not the objects!) The winner of the round will get 5 points, the second 3 and the third 2. So if a server dominate a round or two, its not possible to get too much in front of the other servers.
At last: Change the rewards and the achievments in wvw. I don’t know how someone will ever get the “Ultimate Chaperone” title for example.
These are excellent solutions to the true problem! Best of all these solutions are available to be implemented in-game right now! Kudos to you.
Hobosack’s reducing fun since launch!
I still don’t buy the nonsense that Anet told us months ( years now?) ago about it being the tell that is needed for the enemy to react. Nope not buying it when tool kit is the same as bomb kit.
I’m guessing that we will also get shafted when the crafting backpacks come out. Great, thanks for nothing.
Anyone else have some thoughts?
Ya I have to disagree man. The reason why they are so high is because then they would compete with regular elites showing favoritism towards certain races.
There is already favoritism towards certain classes elites. Just being a racial elite makes no difference.
The Facts
- 16 racial elites, 9 are on 240s cd’s (56%).
- 24 profession elites, 1 is on 240s cd (4%).
- 16 racial elites, 6 are over 1.5s cast time (37.5%).
- 24 profession elites, 5 are over 1.5s cast time (20%).
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Elite#Racial_elite_skills
The Effects
Usage of racial elites is quite rare. Not only do profession elites overshadow them in effectiveness they also are usable more and take less time to activate. I think that the balance team has focused too much on sPvP where racial skills are irrelevant, please consider the rest of the game.
Options
- Lower cooldowns on most of the racial elites. (Charr and Asuran skills especially in need of help)
Results of proposed change
- Racial skills will be worth the 10-30 skill points they cost to unlock.
- Player’s can feel connected to their character.
- No negative impact in PvP.
- No professions can have exclusive access to useful if situational elites.
Found a few old veteran Charr in Iron Marches. Went on a mission with them complete with tracking dog. Blew up some flame legion, killed some separatist humans, blew up separatist camp, npc dialogue was funny
. This was a fun event that I wanted to share. Hope you guys can get it and have a fun time it’s at Harvester’s Glade.
Stop farming underlvls’s.
Honestly I am disappointing with the new skin’s. When I first looked at the preview I actually asked my guilds if the view was glitched on Charr’s again. Do not like the blue at all.
If you are looking for wvw I have found good success with this build. http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fcAQJAqelIqya3zy3F1LJxoCdG0j6fX8KqQ+/oQusF-jECBYhBk8GkEBITtIasVhFRjVdDTxKy6YCpSBAz0I-w
No it’s just like the Health Kit that had it’s spine ripped out by Anet. (Cya condi removal) Completely useless; and we wonder why engi’s have problem with condition removal.
Well, it’s nearly been a year. Can Anet finally get over their imaginary problem that without a visual cue people will insta-die vs engineers?
Watch out for condi builds otherwise have fun taking names.
Ele is in an amazing place right now.
What trait line would be better?
Reworking Turret and Gadget Engineer Traits
So my idea to fix the two biggest problems with engineer skills at the moment which are in my opinion the uselessness of gadgets and turrets compared to a kit is to revamp the inventions trait line and add a new GM trait for gadgets. It would function in a similar manner to kit refinement except be more powerful as it is a GM trait.
Changes in Invention Trait Line
Combine traits 3 and 10 ; Reduces damage dealt to turrets and Turrets are self-repairing. (Lets face it if you are using turrets you bring supply crate and elite supplies.)
Move GM trait Rifled Turret Barrels down to master tier. ( Similar to Necromancer axe being moved down)
New GM trait “Ingenious Invention” – Gadgets gain additional effects.
Each gadget would have a different effect. I’m open to ideas but here are my thoughts.
Throw Mine – Concussion field dazes nearby foes.
Oil Slick – Foes entering the oil slick are afflicted with conditions. (the thief steal oil slick from engineer would be nice).
Rocket Boots – Rocket exhaust leaves a fire field behind on use.
Utility Goggles – Enhanced vision enables you to avoid incoming attacks. (functions like blurred frenzy except you can move, duration debatable). This would enable it to be a real utility to engage targets and also use defensively.
Personal Battering Ram – Launches several (5?) foes in-front of you. (Make battering ram AoE).
AED – Converts conditions while AED is active. Would convert one condition per second, so a total of 5. (Don’t tell me that that is too many condi wipes; ether renewal is better"
(edited by mas.7401)
I’ve always thought that a trait that transferred/cleaned/converted a condition on using a gadget or toolbelt skill of a gadget would make them worth using over a kit.
I like this suggestion. Personal battering ram is quite weak right now, even with the patch that lowered it’s cd. There is no real reason to use it, other options are just much more powerful. I have always thought that a trait that made gadgets transfer or remove conditions might make gadgets worth using.
In any case the reason this utility is so weak in my opinion is that stun breakers instantly counter it and that it only hits one target. If it had more functionality then it could be worth taking.
I main necro and guardian, a light and heavy armour class, a condition and direction damage class. And l do play conditions in PvE (mostly) because I enjoy the play style, call me casual w/e…
But I can tell you now, when looking at numbers my guardian is superior in every way imaginable, better dps (DD > condi, heck even the necro’s DD on axe/dag is inferior), better survivability, better team support.
I rolled a guardian a several months a go because I was tired of swaths of necro nerfs happening in PvE because this game is balanced based on PvP. And, from experience I can say this topic title is correct. Play a warrior or guardian if you want an easy time, playing any other class will make it more difficult for you, arguably however it will make the PvE content more interesting, but that’s for another thread
I completely agree. A voice of reason right here.
Clearly my comment has caused some confusion and offense, which was not my intent. For that, I offer my apology and a more literal version of what I mean to say:
Every profession has aspects that make it different than the others. Sometimes those aspects can exclude a player from taking full advantage of certain bonuses from equipment. But that is not the reason those choices exist. The implementation of a signet-related rune is not an oversight, nor is it meant as a deliberate exclusion of the engineer profession. It is meant to be a new, interesting choice for players that want to use to signets and want to play professions that have them.
Because clearly we need more reasons to not play an engineer. My biggest issue with this rune is that my engineer is cut out of top tier end lvl content rewards.
(edited by mas.7401)
Shall we give Kits to all other professions so they can properly utilize Rune of the Engineer?
Anyone that picks up a stick ripped off an oakheart can.
The Rune of Resistance grants bonus toughness, a reduction in condition duration, and aegis upon using a signet.
Does this mean engineer is getting signets now?
-Disgruntled Engineer
They at least allowed Mesmer to play some different builds, I hope they don’t get over nerfed, Confusion needs to stay in the game, mindless tards pressing one in a zerg deserve their fate, I hope it is only 6/6 that gets an ICD, Engineer and Warrior doing better with Confusion than Mesmer is wrong.
Why is it wrong? Engineer has more access naturally to confusion than a mesmer.
Is this an “in-game” issue?
It will be awhile before they revisit kit refinement after they nerfed it into complete oblivion. No one uses it anymore.
