hands damage on my last deimos fight yesterday night:

One hand tick trigger my block from my mace and you can see many videos from youtube tempest magi kiting takes 2300 average damage without prot and less with.
Please don’t do that. Another condition to maintain at 100% duration it’s hard in PVE.
Bleed is fine and we are, all of us, caped in duration.
Torment sux in PVE and Necro doesn’t focus on burns.
12 min PU style with 2 druids (one healer). Come on this fractal is not that hard, you should use potions and food

Condi reaper is still amazing. The modification of Deadly chill is good for raid, you will do more bleeds. Don’t listen QQ, make your viper build.

Not really but the signet adds a small dps group and can heal your lich minions in the same case when you activate it.
You can keep the blood fiend if you’re in heal trouble.
The blood fiend is really good in the second wing for the condi transfer.

I think it’s better to take a damage sigil like geo or earth over a malice. 5 bleeds are a nice bonus. It helps too when i’m not doing raid for faster fights like fractal or open world.
I’m using agony + earth btw.

If I trade earth to bursting (with my actual build) +119 condi dam.
Earth is better than 150 conditions damage so :
Geo > Earth > Bursting > Malice with a thorn set

-VG 5-6 stacks pulse aura
-Gorseval 5 stacks pulse aura but you loose stacks when you do the adds phases (gorseval is immune and no more poison on him)
-Sabetha you have to stay in her hitbox if you want 5 stacks (shotgun damage) otherwise 2-3 stacks on average
-Sloth 5-6 stacks pulse aura
-Trio don’t know and I don’t care

Thoses videos are OLD. It was a record for fun and not a speedrun (I made a lot of mistakes like casting the wrong spell in lich for sabetha…)

Chill can be overwritten by another chill so long chill are not so great in raid. If one day we can stack it in intensity I would reconsider my build.
Consider chill as a bonus and not as a part of DPS.
Also I can maintain it with the chilling nova, suffer, chill on blind, chill on fear and KS 5.
The DPS breakdown depends of the target but for most encounters :
Bleeds : 8k-12k-18k (18k on matthias but please do not target me! :p)
Poison : 1k5-3k5-5k-(10 k burst in some configuration spin to win in cpc)
Chill : 800 – 1k
Torment : 1k5 max
Bleeds are more 75-80% of total DPS I think.
For sabetha my max bleed tick was 43k on the third boss on my own – solo necro (he takes more conditions damage) it was before alacrity nerf and before of course the abuse of adrenal mushroom.

The PC trait is hard to balance.
In one hand you can’t take it because you need LC and in another hand the trait can be so broken in raid with epidemic and co.
When you know you can do 25k/sec bleed on the boss the regen seems too high (2500hp/sec). If they are more targets this is insane with epidemic…
I don’t know how it can be balanced.
I’m using Thorn runes too since the begining.

Don’t use sigil of bursting, earth or geo are better.
Like zudet, i just typed a bleed tick into calculator at 3000 and 3250 cdmg, added vuln, then 5% to berserker and thorns won with 237.5 vs 233.6 for berserker.
You have to reduce the base condi for both sets and they don’t have the same base condi damage because you don’t need a full viper set in thorn runes.
Full buffs :
Zerker runes : 1893 + 750 = 2643
Thorns runes (5 stacks) : 1959 + 750 + 250 = 2959
Also, when using epidemic, the burns and all conditions from other members should tick stronger from berserker effect.
Nope but the difference is negligible for the burn (3,89%).
Thorn 5 stacks 25 might : (0,155 * 2959)+131.,5 = 590.145
Zerker 25 might : ((0.155 * 2643) +131,5) * 1,05 = 568.223
Also if we take in consideration vulnerability (25 stacks) :
“Damage multipliers combine in a multiplicative fashion rather than additive; i.e. they stack on top of each other instead of being calculated separately”

You are not caped in bleed on your build. This is not so great for your main damage

Warning with the skill editor you have to set up 5 runes and not 6. The website add 5% like sigil of bursting. We know the rune don’t do the same thing. I agree with 1959 for the thorn rune.

My set up have more condi damage but it’s more situationnal.
I will give a try to the geo. But in the new wing I don’t go on shroud off cd (emergency) and I keep my 2nd weapon set for CC.

But you’re not caped in poison so this is not comparable. My CPC will hit harder than you no mather what. With 100% poison caped, CPC will have 8 stacks at the same time).
With Viper + zerker runes a poison tick will hit for 205.34, with viper + thorn(5 stacks) the tick will hit for 204.98. Both calcs are 25 might, though more condi dmg favours zerker runes if you were to add banners.
Can you give me your math ? I may be wrong but this is how I calc :
Condi damage thorn user : 1954 (cf my previous post)
Condi damage zerk user : 1904 (full viper, helmet sinister)
Both use rabid back because I don’t know the stats of a viper one.
Poison damage thorn user 25 might stacks 5 thorn stacks :
1959 + 750 + 250 = 2959
(2959 * 0.06) + 33,5 = 211.04
Poison damage zerk user 25 might stacks :
1904 + 750 = 2654
[(2654 * 0.06) + 33,5] *1,05 = 202,377

Sabetha is the only boss who is hard to maintain 5 stacks (2-3 stacks approx)
Sloth and matthias are very easy to stack. The rune expensive but I like the result

I don’t know why people don’t use the rune of thorn. This rune is amazing (+ 250/300 condi damage in Raid).
I’m a bit overcaped in poison and I have less physical damage than berserker rune but my bleed and my caped poison hit really hard.
You can do the math and see the difference between berserker and thorn (bleed will hit harder with thorn).

Nope, this is a DPS build not a tank build or whatever. I need viper for condi duration and sinister for damage when condi duration caped.
Every condi DPS should be in sinister or viper or a mix. We talk about Raid where some boss have DPS check.

They are a lot of topics of reaper condi but you must be blinded.
Condi engi is considered the better class for VG because it is much better at running green circles than the other condi builds. Engis provide several knockbacks and ccs that reapers are missing, as well as water fields and blast finishers for aoe healing, both of which reapers lack reliably. Their condis still tick while they are running circles (though they do lose dps when they leave the boss, that is true), but the loss of dps is largely irrelevant in actually killing the boss as the timer is so lax. You’re much better off bringing the survivability and ease of circle running, than slightly more consistent dps with reapers from range and the number one thing that causes wipes is people missing/going down in green circles, rather than lack of dps. Lack of dps usually stems from other issues and not from losing out on dps when people run circles. Prioritizing the circle team’s survivability over slightly higher dps will almost always lead to more success in the fight.
tl;dr – engis are better because of the utility they provide, rather than their dps. They’re not the only class that can be successful though.
You may not play condi reaper so :
The condi nec can stay far from the boss and don’t drop DPS (you only go on the boss for KS4 and mushroom in P1)
You use Suffer! to kite red orbs
You use KS3 to CC red orbs when you are in green circle
You can use KS4 on green circle for heal or rally an ally on you
The survability of a necro is HUGE since you can go on KS on demand, it absobs damage if needed.
For the CC phase I always take a WH in my second set for the daze in addition to golem charge and KS5.
If you team have no trouble with the CC you can take the lich and your DPS will be FAR FAR HIGHER than engi.
In conclusion, it’s okay to have an engi for the knockback (other class can do this) but you can’t say “engi is the best for VG”

If you can maintain 5 stacks of rune of thorns (250 condi damage) it seems to be better than berserker rune.
In raid you will always have the 5 stack don’t worry about this.
I will switch the sigil of malice for a bleed sigil when i will get another ascended jewel viper (I have the amulette for now but I need the ring to get de 10% condi duration)
250 condi damages is better than 5% flat condi damages :
bleed berzerker rune without might stack :
(0,06*2012) + 22 + ((0,06*2012) + 22)*0,05 = 149,86
bleed thorns runes (5 thorns stacks) without might stack :
(0,06*2262) + 22 = 157,72
bleed berzerker rune with might stack (25) :
(0,06*2762)+ 22 + ((0,06*2762) + 22)*0,05 = 197.11
bleed thorns runes (5 thorns stacks) with might stack (25) :
(0,06*3012) + 22 = 212,86
more the condi damage is high and more the difference is visible. Don’t forget that you will have 100% duration on poison (second main damage in reaper).
Tell me if i’m wrong with this formula.
It procs from all damages recieved at the VG (small blue orb, reb obs and random attack).
Easy to keep 5 stacks.
For the 2nd boss is harder since you need to dodge some attacks and I need to train more on this boss (only 2 sessions of tries). I will see tomorrow with my guild

I haven’t seen people using the rune of thorns. It’s a bad rune ?
I have no problem to stack 3-5 charge (150-250 condi damage) and the 95% poison duration is really nice with scepter auto, cpc, soul spiral and death nova.
I hate the sigil of agony but I have no choice since i need to get the 100% bleed duration.
I take epidemic over Rise when i’ll get a second necro condi in my team.
The warhorn is only if we lack of CC.
What do you think of my build ?

I ran Sinister-Mad King for a while but missed the ferocity.
If you run sinister, you have to trait Deathly Chill. Then build for frequent chills.
Does Deathly Chill stack with condition damage? It looks more like its simply a static damage number per chill stack, but I’ve never tested it to find out.
Yes it stacks with condition damage. You can deal 1k damage per tick when the target <50 %.
However Chill stacks in duration like old burning.
Take some condi users with you and you will finish your fractal as fast as before, even faster because you can’t die now. No more boss OS.

Epidemic can be applied when necessary. In boss battle you can use “Rise” or bone fiend if you have perma fire field in your group. (2 projectiles finishers at each attack).
I’m not using dhummfire because I don’t want to drop the spite line and spam dhummfire prevent you from using other conditions.
I’m not sure this is the best condi build but if you have some ideas, i’m listening

“Rise!” and Blighter’s Boon are your friend.
With a berserker armor and those skills and traits I was able to tank the Vale guardian fearless (a druid will heal your minions)
Try to get a herald in your own group for the boon spam.
The defense potential is huge for the Reaper, especially with a lot of boons.
RS 4 now gives poison
I’m pretty sure we will get tigers. We can fight tigers in the new borderland map but for now I haven’t seen a juvenile one in the replay.
Tigers fit well with the jungle.
Jon, would you be inclined to offer some thoughts on the axe mainhand’s autoattack in relation to the theme of the weapon (conditions)? Ricochet just does not feel good, and splitblade only works for condition heavy builds.
What about the offhand axe, particularly whirling defense?
Could you take a look at the axe trait and make it affect not only the mainhabd, but the offhand axe as well? Maybe add an additional effect to it because 10% crit dmg increase on mainhand axe that is mainly used as a condition weapon is not a very used trait.
Again, this is to do with Ranger Skills having no synergy in reflection to the weapons they are supposed to affect. Axe 10% trait should be in precision.
