Which class should my GF play?

Ranger is by far the best profession for a newbie to play, as far as just being survivable goes. Those who say warrior over and over again are dead wrong. Plenty of people who aren’t good at this game die repeatedly as a warrior. It’s not the best profession for a person who isn’t well known to MMOs.

The thing is, the ranger pet gives her some extra benefits. It does take some aggro off her, it does give her something to collect, and if she goes down the 3 skill can rez her and see her safely off if she gets in over her head.

Necros are a good choice for people who have a bit more experience. Rangers are a better choice for people who have never really played an MMO before.

While true (as an opinion and I understand your points), I have to note that the Ranger has a higher skill ceiling if you want to be really good at it unless you intend to bearbow or play a more static MMOARPG. Warriors can introduce her to being mobile and have the armour and HP, along with ranged weapons and user-friendly melee options to gently let her into the game.

PS: As clarification because reading through what I wrote on rangers it seemed like I think them a bore, that is not true. I think rangers are pretty fun (though not my thing.). It’s that melee options for rangers are a wee bit less newbie friendly when compared to the warriors. Jumping off cliffs is bad, and teaching a complete newbie about invulnerability frames is probably headache inducing.

Glad you found it helpful.

The trinity in GW2 is DPS, support and control. The main goal of course, is to DPS seeing as you want to kill your enemies. You support via buffing up your team and killing things quickly, control via knockdowns and the like (which is more effective in PvP). These factors are built into all characters so every character can and should do it, so there are no “traditional” roles being assigned to a single person.

You’ll probably get used to it and love it. Instead of taking away features of a class (which is something tied to the skills in weapons and utilities), think of it as providing more options for every class. You -can- still go double ranged weapon (my mistake in the previous post) with a class like Ranger, but you’ll be highly ineffective. And the game will be rather boring.

I cannot really say for light armour classes as I’ve only ever made a Mesmer to 80 (deleted her) ankitten ow making a Necromancer, so this is somewhat shaky even for an opinion.

For a beginner it may be easier for you to get into the game using a Necromancer. You’ll get pets, access to a lot of conditions, some AoEs and traps depending on what you spec for. Also, you’ll get Death Shroud, a pretty cool class mechanic that will allow you to gain access to a new set of weapon skills and extra layer of HP for additional toys to play with. Remember that you can swap in and out of Death Shroud!

It really depends on the level of micro you enjoy I suppose. Regardless, combat can be mobile and interesting provided that you take an active role in it, strafing and dodging while managing your cooldowns, etc.

Okay Wilner, from your question and posts I’m guessing that you’re pretty new-ish so this is written with that in mind.

First off I’d like to point out that GW2 is actually an MMOARPG with a heavy focus on active combat so you’ll probably get more fun from melee. YMMV.
Secondly you’ll be swapping weapons so there is no “ranged option only”.
Third, every class has a ranged option and can do decent DPS at a range; even warriors get longbows and guns while guardians get the scepter and mid-ranged staff.
Fourth, as this is an ARPG, the general idea for playing PvE is to go glass cannon regardless of class and rely on player skill to survive.

My advice to you is to make a random character and enter PvP (Look at the top left. You will see a symbol of crossed swords). Once in PvP, open you [H]ero tab, reset your traits and look through them, your Weapon Skills and your Utility skills. Get the general gist of them, pick your traits and then head right to a few vendors who will sell you runes and weapons. Just pick the weapons you like, ignore everything else first if you’re new.

After that, head over to the PvP game browser and go into a random room, test the play style and how the class feels to you. If you like some things about a class but don’t like the weapon selection, go out and get more weapon types to test out. Naturally if you don’t like a class even after sampling a bunch of builds, move on.

Doing this allows you to experience the class in a more active environment, at max level.

My answer to the thread:

Warriors: High HP, heavy armour, wide weapon selection, very good land speed. Easy class to play.

Guardians: Lowest HP, heavy armour, high sustain and has more active defenses. Easy class to play.

Rangers: Medium HP, medium armour, has pets and pretty wonderful buffs. Disliked by many because the line between good rangers and bad ones is pretty much non existent; you’re either very good at it or you suck hard with it.

Necromancers: High HP, light armour, has pets and can apply a ridiculous amount of DoTs. A somewhat strange tool but wonderful in the right hands. Unable to comment on difficulty.

Engineers: Medium HP, medium armour, has tool kits which allow for unique weaponry. Requires high skill to play effectively but can be borderline immortal if done right.

Mesmer: Medium HP, light armour, very interesting to play as it requires balancing illusions. A mage-thief of sorts. Requires relatively high skill to play.

Elementalist: Low HP, light armour, requires Stance Dancing to play effectively. High skill required.

Thief: Low HP, medium armour, teaches you to not mash buttons, allows for PvP assasinations. Medium-high skill required.

Note, that’s all brief (4AM here) and more importantly opinion based. I highly recommend that you take my advice and try them out to get first hand feeling.

I love the dark areas in GW2, I carry torches with me just for them, Would be nice if the torches were useful outside of them :p

Another reason to bring a ranger

Ranger + Torch + actual darkness in caves and night time -> Bonfire =

[Suggestion] Less waypoints, more mounts

Waypoints do not prevent people from making journeys.

As I said, you have to make the journey to get Waypoints in the first place. Also, there is no reason why Waypoints prevent people from committing themselves to running about because it is a choice to pay a few silvers and get to wherever they need to be. If someone wishes to explore, they can explore. If someone wishes to WP, they can WP. It’s a matter of choice.

As you pointed out, you went exploring and met people. There were people exploring as well. It’s just that when it comes to completing a goal people will want to do things as efficiently as possible. You can’t tell someone to run for 10 minutes, complete random events and do JPs when all they want to do is to grab a dungeon run. It defeats their goal of farming a dungeon and certainly annoying.

Give people mounts and remove waypoints and most of them would just get on the mount and press R, brb for 30 seconds or a minute before making a slight turn and then repeating the process. That’s what most of the people I know did for WoW and other games with mounts and needed to go on long “journeys”.

"Guild Wars" a misleading title

Stop saying its a lore thing, that argument only holds so much weight, frankly it is emaciated now.

GW2 is so disconnected from any of the lore to do with its namesake, the best it does is share a few similar names, anything else? Nope. The name is shared for the sake of marketing.

Guild Halls
Guild vs Guild
Guild Alliances

Where they at?

Less gem store updates more game updates.

I disagree. I think that GW2 is connected to GW1 through it’s settings and events. It’s connected via lore through that. If your point can be taken then we would have to deny the original series as well seeing as they didn’t really have anything to do with the Guild Wars event itself.

I don’t know OP.

You kinda explore to get the Waypoints first, so your point falls a wee bit short. Course, if someone chooses to rush over to grab all the WPs in a map instead of exploring every single nook and cranny they miss out on things but it’s their choice. If you wish to explore every bit of Tyria and take the walk instead of WPing, that’s great but it’s still your choice.

I (and probably hundred of thousands of others at this point in the game) have Full Map completion, I’ve seen pretty much all of Tyria and I gotta say that as much as I love Wayfarer Foothills (Favourite map.) I’m done running around huge distances unless I want to cover ground on foot on a whim. Even if you give me a mount it won’t make me want to run around anymore than I do now.

Side note: Condition damage is also around in MH if you wish to make a comparison. It is still a rather ineffective way of killing bosses as bosses generally gained resistance towards status effects as you repeatedly smack them in the face. Also, you need to smack them with the weapon a lot of times before it applies and even then it lasts for a relatively short period. However, you deal damage as you try to apply the status effect. As I’ve no experience with condition damage heavy characters I cannot say if you deal relatively effective damage as you do your thing.

tl;dr: GW2 is an action oriented game. The preference towards zerker is a natural thing and a product of the community who has grown up and people who only read the forums and idealistically build to organized team builds while expecting similar performance from pugs.

The Trinity. Again.

Some people love the Trinity. Some people do not. It’s a love it or hate it thing. I can understand why people love it, defined roles and stuff, but it isn’t something I like. Someone insulting Illidan’s mother, taking his complete, undivided attention while forty other players smack at his legs with weapons sharp enough to tear through his flesh is just plain silly. (Unless it’s Tarkus, the one Space Marine who’s skills at taunting is so artistic he taunts the Tyranid Hive Mind and succeeds.)

The people that love it often complain about the lack of it in game because there is, what is perceived, a lack of direction and the only thing to do is to kill, kill and kill. What I’d like to point out in this topic is that it is absolutely, completely, undeniably true. In dungeons, you go in, kill things, go through a mini puzzle or challenge, kill some more things, then kill the big guy.

Something which is in every single other RPG game, MMO or otherwise, Trinity present or not.

If one were to take a closer look at every RPG with dungeons, one will find that the main goal of most, if not all dungeons, is the same. Go in, kill everything, get loot. Trinity games simply add in an artificial layer to help keep things organized. You still go in, you still kill things but this time instead of surviving through pure active defenses you let a meatshield go in, taunt things and have a healer heal him so he can go insult mobs over and over again while you go in for the kill. In that I would love to say that there is absolutely no difference, in terms of objective, to games with Trinity and games without.

So why is it so loved by those who believe in it?

Personally I think it’s really in the player. Players are people and people, often feel the need for specified roles. If you’re in a specified role, doing a very specific thing required to keep your whole party alive, you’re wanted. You’re needed. And being wanted and needed feels good. Tanks ensure that the DPSers can go about unloading their rotations, healers ensure that parties don’t fully wipe.

((To those who say that they like to tank and heal I ask that you take a look inside of yourself and question yourself as to why you like doing that. I think, and this is again, my own humble opinion, that it is due to such reasons that you would love for a Trinity.))

If what I’m thinking is true, it isn’t so much that players really love tanking or healing, but rather being wanted and needed. Which is fine really, we’re all people here as far as I know and it’s a human need. Totally normal.

The Trinity is often said to create more teamwork than what you see in GW2. This, I think, is but an illusion. Really, it is. Let’s take a look at the Trinity:

A tank tanks. The healer heals. The DPS unloads damage by the truck load. You work in a team doing your own thing. You’re in a team and you do your own thing that is required of you.

Let’s take a look at GW2:

Everyone unloads damage. Everyone drops their own fields or procs what’s dropped. Everyone keeps the team buffs up as much as they can.

Same thing except everyone does a little bit of everything. There is no “less teamwork”. People drop blinds, Aegis, proc Fire and Water fields, draw attention for ressers to stealth ress and so on and so forth. I support and deal damage while built up for damage. I fail to see the lack of team work because I know it’s there despite many saying that everyone is doing their own thing and not playing as a team. The fact is no matter what game you’re running in, in a team, you’re going to be doing your own thing to the benefit of the team.

tl;dr: People like the Trinity because they feel wanted and needed. Team work is in GW2.

That’s it for now, I hope this brings up a discussion and creates new thoughts for discussion. Else I just made another really long wall for no reason whatsoever. (.__.)

For quite a while now we’ve seen many people comment and complain on the state of the game, especially when it comes to PvE. The veterans of GW1 miss gearing and utility skill slotting from the first game and the trinity lovers miss defined roles and from what I’m reading, seem to miss the healing part of it the most. People who don’t enjoy trading and want fanciful gear are going on about the state of the economy and screaming “manipulation” and the like.

This thread, or at least post, will be about the PvE and Trinity topics.

Before we begin I’d like to remind everyone what GW2 is: An MMOARPG. I put in the A there because it really is an action game much like Monster Hunter(henceforth MH), TERA Online and PSO2. I’ll be comparing GW2 to MH. I would love to compare GW2 and TERA Online and how both are ARPGs but different but that will be for some other time.

Side note: There will be tl;drs at the end of each topic I bring up. I will try my very best to be very serious as I type it out but I will most probably end up being extemely casual and bring in references from other games, joke about, etc. Probably. But I will do my best to put on my serious face.

The State of PvE

As for most of the community, at least those who visit the forums, PvE is extraordinarily easy. There’s a lack of challenge and people are pushing for going full zerkers and have been doing so for months. It’s frustrating for those who want to play support, make things bleed, or just play a different build as opposed to going pure offence. While this is frustrating to said players I actually find this to be very normal given that the game possesses the elements of an action game. Also, this is a product of the community, rather than the game design itself.

Let’s take a little look at MH for this.

In MH you go out, hunt monsters, come back with their parts and make gear out of it. Some pieces of armour would give you skills that flat out boosted your stats such as HP+, Defence+, Critical rate+, Elemental Damage+ and others would give you bonuses which decreased the animation rate of your Weapon Sharpening and Eating. I cannot say for all players because that would be presumptuous of me but I believe, from talking about it with the players I’ve met here in Malaysia, many opt to take defensive and utility skills for quite a long while until they get much better.

At that point they would usually take what is jokingly called the “uniform”; the Silver Rathalos armour or customize their own gear set for every elemental weapon. The Silver Rathalos armour, and customized gear at that point, is completely offence based. They would have armour values but would come with things such as Critical+, Damage+, Elemental Damage+. You would also see people bombing themselves to high heaven so that they’d have minimal HP in order to proc Felyne Heroics, an attack buff that requires you to be near death. All they have is their weapon and active defenses.

This is very much like GW2. Having started near launch I can tell you people were trying to range dungeons at the very beginning before evolving, as skills developed and mechanics understood, to running balanced builds and finally pure damage ones. This isn’t really due to the fault of GW2 itself but rather the essence action games, games that require active input.

Also, the community plays a huge part to the state of the game. Part of the community has evolved in skill that using anything other than zerkers would be inefficient. It’s like running something other than damage enhancing armours in MH. You could, but there’s no real reason to. The only problem is that in GW2 you have official forums and you’re playing online all the time. People will read things online, find the most efficient builds and demand that people run them out of the belief of obtaining pure efficiency while PuGing.

((A hilarious thought, I know. I tried running 10/30/0/5/25 on my Guardian generally PuGing dungeons and it’s hell having very little survivability and being in a group that doesn’t try to max out the DPS despite going “full zerkers only” and asking for gear ping. A hilarious and relatively weak experience that run was.))

But this is a side effect of the community and how it’s grown. I think, to some degree, that it’s a good thing. Players will train themselves to be better players, hone their ability to actively respond. That’s always nice and good. I’ll no longer see Rangers who can’t go though their personal story, whine and say that ANet sucks because they face tanked and stayed static while holding a bow (I had a guildie do this way back. mfw.).

thank you very much for the feedback Stand the wall.

on my zerker ele i have still yet to see meteor hit past 6-7k , with 4 k power and 113%crit damage. also, The aoe output is just not as stable as i would had wanted it to be , maybe I am just not skilled enough yet.

I would love more opinions on best berserker geared zerging class .

I am leaning towards spending my laurels on pimping up my elementalist , but still undecided.

mainly looking for big numbers , can be a selfish class so supporting the zerg is a non major factor.

so current top runner for zerking the zerg is a Elementalist ,.. any opinions?

here’s the trick, cast meteor shower -> transform into tornado

tornado skill will give you a huge boost in your stats which will then display themselves in the meteor shower you just laid down. I’m talking going from 2k power to 4.5k with double the original crit chance.

You filthy, critting, meteor showering little bugger! I LOVE IT!

Night capping - final solution

in WvW

Posted by: noelclover.9408

noelclover.9408

In football there’s a half time. For simplicity sake, let’s assume that there isn’t a half time; only a small break in which players swap places. So this gives up 90/2 minutes, 45 minutes.

Now, since we’ve divided the time into two and am placing WvW onto football since you love it oh-so-very-much, let’s assume that these equally divided time shifts represent Day and Night. 45 minutes Day, 45 minutes Night.

You forgot about 1 thing and this is what we talk about :
First and second half of soccer matches have same amount of ppl. In GW2 second (night according to you) has near none by one side, this is this problem. GJ! You got it at last!

And the issue at the moment is that you simply do not have people at night. Get your players playing. Again, as I said much earlier, what you’re doing is like being a villager who’s village is getting pillaged and you refuse to train your own “night watch”. Train your own night time guys, that way you may have people defending your WvW map when you’re asleep.

In your football analogy, what’s happening is that your team players in the second half are falling asleep or just kitten ing about. You can’t stop the enemy team from going in and scoring.

PS: Also, if this is a solid case then I’d like for ANet to nerf servers like Blackgate. They have too many players in all BLs at all times, both day and night. They can cap towers and stuff when I can’t defend them or when most of my servers WvW population is sleepy! That’s unfair! /sarcasm.

PPS: Your sarcasm made me roll my eyes because the more I read your posts the more I believe that it’s much better for me to leave this thread until you and people like you stop for a moment and start thinking. So this will be my last post here. Good bye.

Night capping - final solution

in WvW

-snip-

But since you won’t do that, once more here it is:

- Currently nightcappers (or morning cappers, whatever) are being rewarded far more or their efforts then they should be

- A match-ups outcome depending on 20 people / server is not cool

- The suggestion posted will not harm you in any way for 1 – it is a suggestion, 2- you still contribute (more) this way then anyone playing at daytime

- If you seriously think that running around with 5 golems against no defence what so ever is ok, then to you my thread is pointless

I mean. At a boxing match, would you punch the opponent during the breaks?

Read it.

Still the same point. I think you’re making quite a few assumptions, especially with point 1 and 2. Being in the “night crew” I can tell you that some servers I’ve played against had very strong “night crews” as well, arguably better than the “morning” ones. Using your first point, I’d put out the same argument to you.

Point 2 is an assumption as stated above. I do agree that it’s not cool though. So get a better night shift team together. You’ve a challenge ahead of you. It’s WvW, a constant state of war. Asking that the opponent relent it’s charge instead of preparing your own defenses (As in night shift team. Not better walls.) is your responsibility.

Point 3 is right and wrong. Right in that it’s a suggestion. Wrong in that it doesn’t hurt us who play on your… “off shifts”. Given the scenario I gave earlier, in that I’ve faced worlds with unrelenting “night crews”, I should be rewarded just as much as you for my efforts. Rewarding me less is making a mockery of my efforts to retain, if not capture and further, my server’s points. You’re making a suggestion based on an assumption.

Final point: It’s not okay. However what you’re doing is like being a villager that complains about getting raided by vikings and being unable to defend it because you don’t train anyone to guard the gates when you’re asleep. Silly.

Also: No I wouldn’t. But there’s no break time in WvW. You go off shift, I may be going on shift to kill. I go down, maybe you’re coming back up. Break? What break?

PS: It’s not like I don’t like method 2. But it wouldn’t be fair for those who are asleep at that time and people who play on your off hours may have to work even harder than you do. Is that fair? Hardly. But again, “may” is the keyword here.

What mechanics are you talking about here? You have blocks, blinds, dodges, stuns, knockbacks and skills that grant invulnerability.

PS: Not fully directed at you but also towards all who claim to want to play defensive characters. Quoting you because you put out the idea that there is a lack of mechanics for defensive play.

Dear pandora eight.

I have absolutely no reason to distrust you when it comes to what you say. In fact, I believe what you’re saying is true.

In your eyes that is.

I would also like to point out that the information you are providing is extremely unlikely. Also, you are simply shutting down helpful comments and plausible theories (I say theory because I do not know of the store you bought the game from, etc.) that it is the store that is denying you your returning of GW2. You claim that ANet failed to provide information regarding returning the game., which really is pretty darn rude and obstinate of you.

Here’s something I want to point out. If you have complete faith in the store, there is no reason why you cannot have complete faith in ANet. If you can blame ANet, you sure as hell can blame the store, unless of course you’re biased. In which case, the case you are presenting falls in credibility even more and we can conclude that what you have written is nothing more than trolling or as you put it “nonsense”. I’ve had shopkeepers lie to me in the face because they thought that whatever it was I was requesting was a hassle, or they were misinformed and couldn’t/wouldn’t back down to save face. People lie all the time, this is, sadly, a fact.

As you claim that it is unacceptable for ANet to hide information (Something of which I agree to), I would like to claim your stand on protecting your beloved store to be “unacceptable” as well, on the grounds that you lack proof apart from whatever your store told you.

Which could, for all we know, be a lie.

in WvW

I don’t think it’s unacceptable. It certainly isn’t perfect, but nothing ever is. If ANet tweaked something, a part of the population would whine while the other supports them. It happens all the time in every game, in every part of every other game.

I’m living in Malaysia. I play in NA with my beloved guildies-friends. Sometimes I get to run with a few of them for a little while and sometimes I don’t even get that little while. Sometimes I’m on the “night crew”, running all alone and taking camps, listening to map reports to dodge zergs and hoping I’m doing a good job so that my server and guild mates would come back to a nice-looking scoreboard.

Would I love to WvW with my guildies all day long?

I sure as hell would.

Is it a realistic expectation of which I should demand ANet allow me?

Of course not.

It’s an international game. Not everyone is living in the same timezone. Let that sink in to your head a bit and start thinking again.

PS: On an related-yet-off topic since this deals with time zones, I don’t even get to do Guild Challenges with my guildies. I have only 2 commendations, after spending what I managed to get way back on a Guild Shield. It’s my personal character and I am a helluva lot more entitled to whine about it than you do about people playing WvW for their server on their own time. And I’m not complaining.

Surely u can find many friends In your US neiberhood. Do those European friends of yours play at 5 AM or sleep? How often do you see them?

You must not understand the concept of friendship, to make a comment about having friends that only live within a timezone or two. My game-time overlaps quite a bit with my EU counterparts, it’s not as different as you assume.

The beauty of the internet and MMO’s is allowing people from around the world play together, and arbitrarily restricting who you can play with, by timezones or time of play, totally ignores and insults players who don’t conform to a “prime time” schedule.

Honest question: Are you trolling? Because your comments are so close-minded, that it seems that way.

You just can’t understand what WvW is all about, btw this is separate GW2 mode, you can visit your friends by questing etc. Other time zones ruin balance just in this mode.

Especially when national servers like DE, FR are putted on

And he can do that in WvW. Some people enjoy WvWing with their friends after all.

Ran the AHEM (Ye Olde Strife025’s build) for a good long time.

It’s a nice combo and works very well for solo PvE and group PvE if you are going anchor (The only real way to validate the use of AH really.). Anchoring does work to some degree, at least from group/guild observations. No idea if things have changed and YMMV. Wonderful build if you’re starting out and don’t believe in running Clerics.

Not sure if it works with Berserker…

I remember two Norns buying ale from a human trader or something but I forgot where. I think it was in… a place with a Skill Challenge where you have to fight this Medium armoured Norn Lionguard. Basically the guys were coming back for more ale and the trader was surprised they weren’t knocked out by all the alcohol they bought previously. Their response?

“We’re ale-chugging forces of ale-chugging nature!”

That one got a laugh out of me

Fort Trinity events impossible

Guys, he said Fort Trinity, so it’s Straits of Devastation. He also mentioned a level 73 warrior, so I’m guessing that’s the character he has problems with.

For clarification: I mentioned Malchor’s because I was saying that you’ll find more people in the next two maps, though the next one, Malchor will still be rather… quiet.

Back on topic: I’ve honestly never seen that happening because when I get down to the Fort, the team is usually all ready at the 4 trebs south of it. I honestly don’t really know how to help you on this, but I’ll head down to Straits in my server (and possibly 2 others with guesting) to see if it’s up and test it out for you.

This is rather off-forum but since you’re frustration seems to come mostly on the fact that you feel like you’ve hit a brick wall:

As Ayochek mentioned, this isn’t an event you must do, if you really find it difficult, skip it. Or if you find the map terrible, do as mercury suggested: try a different map. However, if you’re as bullheaded as I was back then (I insisted on finishing Orr despite it being densely populated by mobs and lacking in players), find a way in. I remember seeing the gate at Lone Post being closed and for some odd reason it wasn’t something I could attack back then (possibly DE chain fault.). I just swam around, ran like stupid and somehow found a way in. Not exactly helpful, but it’s been a very long time since I completed Straits so… yeah. Once you’re in, you’ll have plenty of hearts and stuff to complete

PS: If you really need help, hook me up. I’m usually on in the evening, GMT+8.

Why are people so unfriendly for dungeons?

in Fractals, Dungeons & Raids

noelclover.9408

While I personally would prefer a level 80 with me on a dungeon explorable run (I am trying to hold onto the optimistic belief that they would know their class better than fresh level 30s. Trying.), I’m more than happy taking lowbies with me so long as they know the run, or are willing to learn it.

Also, do what Milennin says, it helps quite a bit. When you announce that you want to do a dungeon explorable run, many assume that you’re a level 80 and intending to burn through it (not speed running, but moving on constantly, ignoring cutscenes, etc.) for tokens and rewards. There’s also the fact that despite being scaled down to a lower level, level 80s in exotics will always have an edge over level 35s in greens and so some will feel that they have to carry you through the dungeon. It’s unfair, I know, but it happens.

PS: You can always join my guild, we welcome newbies, lowbies, level 80s and what nots and everyone is usually ready and willing to do dungeon runs if asked /shameless self promotion

Uhh, sorry but no. The game isn’t dead.

I’m guessing that you mean the mission where you have to protect four trebuchets around south of Fort Trinity, Straits of Devastation. This DE is actually soloable and I’ve done it with both my Guardian and my Mesmer alone. You need to keep on moving from one end to the other. IIRC this is a part of the DE chain that leads up to the invasion of the Balthazar temple. Not many players are willing to really do this because it’s a rather long quest chain and honestly it’s quite a pain.

If you’re facing trouble levelling, since you mentioned it, just focus on doing the hearts and map completion for Straits. It’ll still be a little lackluster in Malchor’s, but it does get a little better in Cursed Shore. Hang in there and good luck

I’m on Henge of Denravi, living in Malaysia and I noticed lag creeping into a previously smooth game since the latest patch. As this is a relatively new (though annoying) matter for me I am hesitant to put any blame on the games servers, though everything else that requires Internet Access is running smoothly.

A Sylvari.

At least… that’s what I think Sylvari look like? If it isn’t really, I must apologize. I have yet to make Sylvari characters and this is based off what I remember of them.

Unplanned painting. I wanted to take a break from my current work on Subaru.

Anyways, this is a style test, took me an hour to do. Hope you like it.
