i hate the PUGs sometimes, like every time I do dredge with a PUG they want to use that lame trick with the plank and then the one at cliffside always hugging that boss, and it’s not even patched.

I hate lame lame lame bugs like that. the PUGs in this game are way too hardcore and always use these lame tricks to circumvent the intended gameplay.

Blame anet for taking over a year to fix simple things

Indeed. I use Sylvari T3 and I would be pretty ticked off if they made them available in the gem store, with added particle effects, and open to any race.

This is one instance where I can definitely say that those that bought T3 human cultural should be refunded their gold because I know that if they knew it would be available at a later date for gems they would not have wasted the money on it in the first place. 80g ~=~ 1600 gems last I checked. If they are 800 gems, we’re looking at 40g, practically 1/3 the cost of buying the cultural from the vendor.

I’m sure the argument is that they are technically different, but come on, that’s BS.

Some would/could argue that since the gem store ones have the effects, they are better, for less price… hmm

It really bothers me that the light is human t3. I spent a fair bit of money to get that armor, now it’s in the gem store with particle effects. :/
With that being said, If I could dye the flames on the gem store armor, I would totally buy it. Guess that makes me a hypocrite.

I ran into the same issue. Also, no return to checkpoint at the start of the fractal (where the merchants, etc are) So, no more just jumping off the edge. Just in case you were wondering. I had to log off and back on just to be able to do anything.

I really want to play that now :/

They gave notice that it was closing. They announced the patch was coming out today. I’m not sure why people are surprised. It does suck that you were so close to the weapon skins. I was not on too much myself this month so I understand why you’re bummed. No need to get angry though. The weapon skins are on the trading post available to buy and it sounds like you can still get the achievement when SAB is re released, so all is good. I was in a rush to make sure I got it by yesterday. Figured it would end this morning.

Orrian Truffle and Meat stew is unwarranted if you have the Critical Infusion trait, granting vigor on crit. But I’m a zerker so I crit all the time, your mileage may vary. Vigor is 100% endu regen, so this food is rendered useless if you have it.

I use the stew on my ele. If there is one that works better, would love to know of it. i am always looking for tips to make it go easier

I do Arah A LOT and have never come across this. I always have access to the dungeon. Also, if you need a group so bad, try GW2LFG.com. Of course, you prob wont get a group if you act like a troll, just saying.

Super Adventure Box has seriously been taking up all my time I have barely done fractals or Arah lately. I will prob. be doing a run or two after work tomorrow 10pm eastern time if anyone wants/needs to do path 3, pm me.

If you are not the greatest of jumpers, you could always run with someone that is. I find it extremely helpful for someone to stand where I need to land. For me, this method works every time on jumps that were giving me troubles. Yes, I know that is kinda like cheating, but it is a great way to learn where/how you need to jump. This way when you are on your own, you know how to do it by yourself.

For the most part i really have no issues with this content. Love it really, it’s fantastically silly and makes me feel like I’m 9 again.

I have found one “bug” though that while avoidable is a tad annoying. When you first enter the fight with king toad, at least in my experience, it’s impossible to break the gem. no matter how many times I hit it nothing happens. I’m not positive when it actually becomes “damageable” but the best strategy I’ve found (and it has yet to fail) is to hide in the safe spot until he does his first tongue attack then fight him like normal. other than that i have no problems with his difficulty or anything. I’m assuming this is a bug but it may just be that i’m missing something key.

I normally do this as well or try to dodge the first beam. Sometimes, when you stand right under him on the very edge of the lily pad you can avoid that first beam.

You can not tell me that they wouldn’t make a lot more money just selling the skins for $10 to $15 each. There are likely 50 people who would pay $10 for every person who buys chests until they get a skin.

It really seems like it’s a non-ethical system just for the sake of thumbing one’s nose at ethics. Or, so one can have bragging rights when talking with other cash shop managers from other games. This really needs to just end.

I’d sell them for $10-$15 each, plus have them in chests at a 1 in 20 as an added value for BLC key purchasers. The same people who buy chests will continue to buy chests for the normal goodies and for the chance of getting a skin for less than the selling price if they get lucky. The ethical balance of the game is restored and people who want to spend ~$15 a month to support the game have something cool they can purchase.

It’s so simple it’s painful trying to figure out what some people at ANet are thinking.

You don’t have to pay any real money to get the skins. You just play in the Super Adventure Box. There are three chests in each run. Or you could save your bauble bubbles and just buy the skin. Why are you talking about $

Good to know that I wasn’t the only one that bought a sigil specifically for this boss I works really well for me as every time I switch attunements (after the sigil cooldown) I am granted 50% more endurance. Usually end up =one extra dodge. It doesn’t seem like much until you need it!
I always seem to be the target when I am on my ele. so I also use Orrian Truffle and Meat stew as well as the the potions of undead slaying. Like you mentioned. the food grants +40% to the endurance refill rate. (also grants Might when dodge)
I still have some difficulty with my mesmer. I seem to be a target in phase 3 often and that life steal just downs me so fast. Practice makes perfect though.

yeah, same here. Forgot all about fall damage till i jumped from a too high cliff doing dailies.

…this is the coolest addition I’ve seen to an MMO. I know ANet took a risk in allowing so much time and resource to be spent on the SAB project, but the end is a resounding success. As someone who grew up on video games in the 80s, I am thoroughly impressed by how well the SAB has tapped into the essence of an old school game while also being a high quality release with a very substantial amount of content.

I hope we see more content like this in the future.

Agreed. This is the most fun I have had in such a long time. I have had races with guild members to see who could get to the checkpoints first. (and of course, had a good laugh when we fell or got hit by those kitten monkeys. I swear they know just when to hit you so you will fall off the tree limb )

I love that you can run through the levels real quick to get to the end or explore every nook and cranny trying to find all the secrets.

Thank you for such an amazingly fun addition (/addiction) to the game.

Ditto this. Maybe take a look at how you are talking/typing to the group. You may come across as rude or know it all without meaning to.
Be respectful to the pugs and the majority will be the same back. (notice I said majority)

Yeah, I’m not saying we can’t use gw2lfg. Just that this guild was created partly so we don’t have to. I don’t mind using gw2lfg, but I like getting as many from the guild as I can first. Nine times out of ten you still get good people from gw2lfg, but sometimes there’s just a bad apple.

I’d just like to thank Kumakichi and the other vets for organizing this. This weekend I passed my first stack of arah tokens and have run path 1 and 3 successfully so far on my warrior and ele. I’m still not fully pro but if you see me online and not in a dungeon I’ll most likely join, I try to have my LFG tag up but will only rep while in the dungeon itself.

Thanks! and congratz. Obal does the lionshare of the work. He does a lot of the inviting and ranking. He makes big efforts to make sure people get a chance to make there first run in Arah and makes it look easy. I chip in where I can. The way this has taken off has really been a big surprise. And so many are happy to help out the people new to arah.

It is amazing how fast it has grown and with so many nice/helpful members too. I have yet to come across an “elitist” in the group. Such a nice change of pace from what you see in many dungeon groups anymore.
I have been trying to remember to put my looking for group up any time I am available to go on a run. I am normally good to go as long as I’m not in another dungeon/fractals.

Here is my mesmer. I was trying to go with an armor combo that I haven’t seen around much.

I normally run path 3 (sometimes 2)at least once a night normally late evening eastern time. More then welcome to pm for a group.

I got mine from the mystic forge using 4 rares. I can’t remember excatly how many tries it took over the weeks that I did it, but if I had to estimate I would say it was close to 100-150 gold total in tries.

I did the single clover method. Tried the 10 clovers a couple times and failed each time. So I switched to single recipe. I just made them every time I got an ecto. My luck was absolutely horrid with the clovers. I went through a stack and a half at least of shards… Ah well, it worked out in the end.
Like someone else mentioned, you can change the sigil after you make the bifrost. Good luck!

This has happened to me before as well. We sent in a bug report when it happened. I was a bit bummed that I didn’t get the reward, but not much that I can do about it. I have only had it happen one other time since.
