The War Beasts in the Centaur area drop loot. But there are only 2 Beastmasters and the respawn time is quite long. Not worth to farm imo
This meta is often bugged. If you see Dredge inside Fridgardr Lodge and there is no event active (either “Drive the dredge out of Fridgardr Lodge” or “Halt dredge expansion by defending Fridgardr Lodge”) the meta is bugged. The events at Fridgardr Lodge and Firebase Molek are required to spawn the Dredge Commissar.
Try to change megaserver and find one where it’s not bugged. If you’re in EU guest to servers with different languages and you should be on different megaservers. This works for me at least in peak hours.
BTW the Ogre Wars meta in Fields of Ruin is the king of bugged meta events. I’ve seen literally EVERY event in the meta event chain bug out. After nearly 2 years this is sad and ridiculous.

Yep long time PvP players must have got a lot of skins. It’s much harder to get all the dungeon armor and weapon skins now i guess.
As the topic says show us how many skins you’ve unlocked in your wardrobe. Currently you can unlock 2968 skins. I’m at 1200 skins, mostly former PvP skins, Karma skins and cheap skins from TP and I think those are easy to obtain. Let me see a screen shot if you have a lot more!
Good starting point if you plan to unlock the skins is Dulfy’s guide:

Envy, I’m sure you will review your opinion once the megaserver system hits Bloodtide Coast and you can see the success rate on the wurm.
There are tons of guilds out there with hundreds of thousands extra influence and maxed out merits to ally yourselves with – many of whom would jump at the opportunity (not to mention it would create a stronger player community).
But the TxS-Alliance can fill a map already. If a “boss spawning” guild joins a run members of the alliance can’t participate because there is not enough space on the map for all. Basically, a guild with enough influence and merits buys spots for their members on a boss kill. I don’t like that at all.
Sooo, when i have a legendary I’ve won the game? Didn’t know that lol.
The PvP Masquerade armor is a light armor skin only available in PvP. At the moment the only method to get it is by crafting in the mystic forge with wolf tokens (if you still have enough wolf/item tokens or glory).
Will there be a way to obtain the skin after the feature patch? Will it be part of a PvP Reward Track or added to the PvE loot tables?
If not, new players will never be able to wear this nice skin. I wouldn’t mind if this armor skin will be exclusive to veteran pvp players but some clarification would be nice.
Quick update: I just logged in and downloaded today’s patch. Now i get the World Bonuses again in PvE, WvW and overflows. I didn’t guest yet but suppose I will get the bonuses then too.
Yes i transfered server between February 4 patch and March 18 patch. After the transfer i got World Bonuses in WvW on my new server, just like before the transfer.
Sigh, nice to see that the issue is fixed for all of you but i can’t believe that I’m the only one not getting World Bonuses. I hate to be the special snowflake here. Hopefully a developer recognizes that the bug still occures for some players. I will file a ticket to be sure it gets some attention.
If you see [WvW ‘B’], you are not getting any bonus that your server has earned.
Yep, no bonuses shown when I hover my cursor over the WvW Icon regardless of PvE or WvW area. Before the latest patch I got the World Bonuses in WvW at least.
World bonuses obtained in WvW will once again apply in PvE. Additionally, they will now apply in overflows and while guesting (based on the player’s world).
Still not working. And even worse: World Bonuses aren’t applied in PvE AND WvW now for me. See pictures (the 300 more Health are gained through the 30 Vitality from the minor borderlands bloodlust buff).

World first kill (Amber POV):

That’s high level PvE, serious business. Don’t expect to guest on Deso and beat the wurm on first try. Everyone will need some runs to be as coordinated as these guys. Hats off.
In other words,
Effective damage on crit = Power * Critical damage
is going to be replaced by
Effective damage on crit = Power + Ferocity
Where do you get that from? They will change the way crit damage will be calculated, namely from ferocity. Similar to crit chance depending on precision. It will still be a multiplier.
And intruducing new gear tiers and after that balancing around so the new tier is as powerful as the former best tier? That would be a poor move. Not to mention all other stats will be increased too in new tiers, so you have to “rebalance” them too.
Nah, I don’t see that coming. And sorry for hijacking this thread with off topics.
Nerfing DPS is the first step they are taking towards adding the next tier of gear.
Huh? Obviously A-Net thinks Ascended is too powerful for their content so they nerf the damage to former exotics level. For me this is a sign that there never will be another gear tier. They don’t want you to faceroll the open world and dungeons. And they cannot nerf the damage everytime a new tier is introduced. Then you will need Ascended gear for a level 35 dungeon. How will that work?
Does ferocity deal critical-hit damage as a % of your base damage? Or is it a flat damage bonus?
Here’s the math behind direct damage in gw2:
Average damage = (Weapon strength) * Power * (skill-specific coefficient) / (target’s Armor) * ( 1 + Critical Chance * ( Critical Damage + 0.5) )
So, higher power means higher bonus damage on critical hits.

Just for teh lulz: I recently finished the Ascended Armor for my Beserker Mesmer after the 36 days of time gated crafting of Damask. After some theory crafting taking account of different stacking sigils, buff food, runes etc. I forged 6 Omni Infusions to maximize my DPS. I’m pretty sure that this combination of Infusions isn’t the optimum for max DPS after the Crit Damage nerf.
I spent 6 Stacks T6 mats, 600 Passion Flowers, 60 Skill Points and 300 Mystic Coins on those Infusions for something that is now suboptimal. Luckily I had enough mats, gold and Skill Points for T5 mats promotion and didn’t buy gems for real money to get enough gold. Well, bad luck i guess. And after all it’s just toy money, isn’kitten
Clones don’t overwrite phantasms. Clones will overwrite clones and clones only.
If you have 3 Phantasms out, a Clone will overwrite the oldest Phantasm.
Why is Blobaddon being completely ignored here? -:P:P:P-
Since the league Surmia and Drakkar have a history in forum wars and this needs to be continued. And Dawson transferred to Drakkar so that we finally have a super pro forum warrior. Yay for this!
I for one lean back and enjoy the fine conversation in this thread. Or ignore it if it suits me better.

I just did 20 lvl 1 runs to the 3rd fractal to get the aetherblade one. And we didn’t roll it.
Can we get some kind of etiquette for the new arena in Obsidian Sanctum? Something like not attacking one loner out from stealth who is waiting there for a duell? Or jumping on him 3v1? At least there is a place now for duellists, so why destroy it with such behaviour?
I and many others on Drakkar experienced the weirdest forms of lag the whole evening. While soloing a camp all NPCs disappeared and reappeared after 2 min. Same during small 10v10 fights, friendly players and enemies just diasappeared for some time. This was different to the usual skill lags in big battles. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is somehow related.
You won’t see any whining about night capping from Drakkar. We’re used to wake up and see everything taking by an Omega army. Nevertheless no luck taking our garri although you vastly outnumbered us. So much for no skill.
my main has also not received her bday present, but my other characters (all made on day 1) have.
the only thing i can think of is makeover kit.
makeover kit ‘reset’ birthday because its considered a new char?
I Did use it… But it would be quite bad if it did,
Did anyone else use a Total Makeover Kit, Self-Style Hair Kit or Name Change Contract on the character missing his Birthday Gift?
I used the Self-Style Hair Kit on my 12 month old character and got no gift.
After failing with a group of 5 we did T4 with a group of 3 on first try. Number of mobs and vets scales with number of party members and T4 with 3 felt like T1 solo.
From Guild Wars 2 Wiki: "Unlike any other node, each character can only farm 15 Passiflora nodes per day. "
Seems to be different for Blooming Passiflora: “Appears to have an account limit of gathers per set time. (Tests Ongoing.)” Probably 3 per account per day.
Hi!
I once did the math for my Great Sword Mesmer but I can’t say if you have more DPS with this than a Shatter Mesmer. According to my math you have the highest DPS output over a long period of time with this:
Traits: 30 in Domination and Dueling, the remaining 10 as you like (i have 5 in Inspiration and Illusion), Greatsword Training is of course a must have.
Armor: Exotic Berserker with 6 Ruby Orbs
Trinkets: Ascended with Berserker Stats and 6 Precise Infusions
Greatsword: Exotic Berserker with Superior Sigil of Bloodlust. When Sigil is fully charged switch to another Exotic Berserker GS with Superior Sigil of Force.
Buff Food: Bowls of Curry Butternut Squash Soup and Master Maintenance Oil
This will give you 2700 power, 68% crit chance and 121 crit damage. For best DPS for your second weapon set with this build take Superior Sigil of Force and Superior Sigil of Accuracy.
