is there any leveling builds for elementalist , say.. around lvl30+ , which can solo cap supply camps in wvw ?
utility – shield of the avenger(20s) and wall of reflection(10s)
these 2 will buy u 30secs of projectile protection from the effigy where most of the damage comes from(only use it when the effigy reaches you and starts shooting those fireballs) . if you can’t handle the damage from the slavedriver himself , use a hammer (3rd swing gives protection) and pack shelter as your heal , the blocks helps against those hard-hitting multiattacks. tankable even in zerker gear + hammer + lifesteal food.
and pack enough armor, around >3k. and get first hit on the boss to ensure he doesnt go around chasing other people.
if the boss is still not dead/dying after 30s , well … it’s not your fault.

Explosives Adept Trait-
Incendiary Powder-33% chance to burn for 2 seconds on critical hits.
even with condi duration
+30% from Traits
+20% from armor
it still registers as 2 sec flat
this needs to get on the dev’s radar
because there are no meters.
you never know who are the real cornerstone contributors that make the party great.
most of the time , players are just judged by how many times they die , not how much they contribute.
client crashes out at least 4 times.
hard crashes , blue-screen computer reset 2 times.
corrupts itself to the point i have to run -verify once
per day.
within 3 hours of game play.
extremely unplayable during halloween
even now iam still getting daily client-corrupts.
sit in LA , chatting , crash
dungeon-runs , crash
zone into frostgorge , crash
and today i just can’t take it anymore , writing this as i wait for the client to verify itself.
oh , and the days where it doesnt corrupt itself , are the days i don’t turn on gw2 at all.
how do guards keep up with their targets in small scale WvW roaming ?
thinking of packing 20pts into zeal just for the 2×3s knockdown on demand from the spirit hammer.
since perma-swiftness is easily achieved in PvE.
put mounts as +33% speed.
skill bar locked and replace with mount skills when mounted , which are all fancy mount animations.
not available in WvW.
gives players a new comestic item to gun for as well.
using insanely hard activities to control supply of epic items , would be much preferred to the RNG of the magic forge.
Nobody’s doing anything that’s already in the game. Entire zones are empty, the dragon zerg isn’t even completed on most servers anymore.
there really isnt any incentive to do anything other than dungeons/orr/dragons atm.
you’ll explore only when you are leveling.
once you hit 80 , the only places you’ll go is dungeon/orr/dragons.
even then , orr and dragons gets really boring fast.
You don’t need more to do, especially considering how you don’t even do what you have now.
you need more choices in what you can do at 80.
i have friends at 80 who have for the past weeks, logged in , grind orr , farmed dragons.
and thats all they do , because they don’t want to do dungeons.
we definteily need more to do(choices) at 80 , cause many players are beyond bored of dragons and orr. at the same time , these very same players have alot of unexplored places.
why do they not explore those places then ? , no incentive.
its a chain that a-net needs to break
1 – “orr/dragons gives the best loot”
2- “but iam bored of them”
3 – “why not do other stuff ? , explore ?”
4 – go back to 1
they need a nudge in the right direction to explore what a-net has to offer , which is not just orr and dragons. and i am saying this for those players who can’t do dungeons ( read orig post)
try an engineer.
sometime i wish i could sit in the back and just pewpew all the way
instead of doing finger gymnastics in every dungeon run.
certain classes are defintely more passive in terms of playstyle , find the correct class for yourself
put that madking rotating racetrack in the middle of lion’s arch
i wana cheer for my friends on the racetrack.
with the Mad King’s scavenger hunt being proof of concept , iam pretty sure the devs already have existing tech to put this in place
if this catches their attention , this can actually get implemented really quick
problem : relatively empty openworld pve , players don’t have enough incentive to explore after 80. most players would just LFG for dungeons in lion’s arch and move out from there.
solution? :
have our respective orders (durmond priory, whispers, vigil) in Lion’s Arch give us daily/weekly missions which are basically unguided multi-step quests.
players will be given a number of choices of missions.
mission 1- doable by 1 or more
mission 2- doable by 3 or more
mission 3- doable by 5 or more
example scenario
mission1
“a new leader have risen among the sons of svanir , investigate and act as neccesary”
1) go to hoelbrak to seek out eir , eir tells you to seek out <named npc> in lorna’s pass.
2) personal artifacts /journal of <named npc> are found at lorna’s pass. upon reading journal , player discovers he was investigating a charr who have planted a device among the leaders of the sons of svanir.
3)players goes to fireheart rise to rescue <named npc> who then points players to “that puzzle dungeon at plains of ashford” to learn more about this mystic device
*always thought this was a pretty cool dungeon , but not many people have tried to solve it or even know about it"
4) bring back device to order leader . get reward
the main idea is to add more events which are triggered by these missions (accepted and activated by players) , and lead them out into the openworld , do some basic problem solving (Not too reliant on lore).
this makes the world more alive , lets areas that aren’t frequently expored get appreciated by more players.
it also create contents for players who doesnt have the typical mmo background.
- i have a group of friends whose only mmo experience are maplestory and facebook games and they are pretty old as well. At 80 , there really isnt much thing left to do on the PVE side of things , other than dungeons , and going into dungeons is a horrible experience for them. so , create content for these players is something anet have to consider imo.
(edited by paperplay.6941)
difficulty is fine imo.
they just need to allow us to resume the dungeon where we left off.
arah is way too long for most people to do it in 1 sitting.
even in full servers , population might not be spread throughout the world , resulting in some dead zones , especially the starter/mid zones
solution :
when a zone is under-populated in a server , create a underflow instance which merges all other underpopulated zones of other servers together.
So as far as i see… AOE ist the main Problem here!?
yes.
you can dodge out of them.
while your pets stay in them.
and dungeon aoes kill really fast.
its funny to see how after just 15 Minutes are 2 totally opposite Opinions posted in my Thread X)
@ Dispari can you give me some little advices for some in-depth Minionmancer stuff?
Just a bit of things to know, like pro´s and con´s if you like
they aren’t really conflicting.
minion masters are only OK if you are willing to look past the many shortcomings that they have.
dungeon AOEs wipe out your minions very fast.
they are only ok if there isnt alot of AOEs. but that really require you to have knowledge of the fights before hand.
for the rest of the players who are plainly looking for the best/most efficient playstyles , minion masters is nowhere close. more oftenly a liability than not.
pros : good single target DPS , pets help to tank some.
cons : heavy AOE fights kill pets fast , making your traits useless.
