By the way: The dodges are a good example of why the specialization don’t feel like an adittion but rather like a restriction. We HAVE to chose a new dodge if we want to play staff thief.
Actually, you can run without the grand master trait altogether. A few people are choosing to do that over sparing their dodges. But in the end, the dodge animations were a horrible addition.
Dash and the condi one defenitely have a horrible lag to them but does the last one? I tried it and it felt somewhat responsive.
I did not mind the other dodge for its animation (still liked original better though), but in terms of practicality, it would reveal a thief who was in stealth. And additionally, it would drag nearby enemies into combat.
Yeah, I am running without the grand master currently. Far more effective.
Although the new thief is neat, the dodges are awfully inconvenient. We see three main options, two of which are offensive. The issue is, the offensive ones are combat skills and will reveal a thief from stealth, leaving only one remaining dodge choice. However, the other dodge has a prolonged animation which moves the player further than before at a slower pace. This proves an issue in Shadow Refuge where a player now must be at the very edge of the circle in order to dodge and remain within the refuge. Although this may not pose a problem in PvE, I can see this being a massive disadvantage for future PvP and WvW scenarios. Not only is this dodge annoying in terms of its lengthy animation, but it is rather difficult to land skills such as cloak and dagger while leaving the animation.
I understand that they are trying to offer more diverse styles of play, but occasionally the style will interfere with the actual convenience of the game play. This will ultimately decrease Dare Devil’s effectiveness in PvP.
For example, the chat code for a Gift of Exploration is [&AgHdTAAA]. How would I enter it into the chat if I wanted it to show a stack of 250 of them?
When playing Guild Wars 2 I have always had a few issues with lag spikes every once in a while since I got my new computer. However, as of lately every few days or so I will have a night in WvW (I raid nightly) where I will get lag spikes of about 10 seconds for a constant few hours. These were bad enough until even more recently I have been getting lag spikes of THREE MINUTES which would trigger every two minutes or so.
I do not believe that my internet is the issue since I have perfect connection and all other games run perfectly on it. I realize that Arenanet has been suffering some server attacks recently, so not blame on them, but is there ANY way that I can physically play this game without the massive amounts of lag!? This is affecting my gameplay constantly now, and I am unable to take camps/towers anymore because of the ridiculous lag.
Which item is it?
As far as i know, Account upgrades, like bank space etc. arent giftable.
Metabolic primer. It has a present button and is therefore capable of being sent as a gift.
I bought 800 gems today, successfully, and I wanted to buy a gem store item to send to a friend. I have plenty enough gems to buy the item, but the problem is, is that when I click on the present icon to send it, it comes up with a blank window and nothing else. I tried logging out and back in several times, but nothing happened. This same stupid blank window keeps coming up with nothing to choose from.
Nevermind, it was the area above it. I managed to activate the mini-dungeon.
Wiki says, " From the Grawl City Guards, proceed north into the extremely short tunnel until you reach the ice wall."
The tunnel is blocked off.
I am trying to earn my next achievement chest, and I currently have 174/175 in exploration of Shiverpeaks. I checked every single other area in Shiverpeaks for a blurred out area, but this is the single area on the map that is still blurred out (I already have griffon puzzle). Unfortunately, I am already finished with my story quest and have no way to choose the grawl story line on my character. This is literally the one area I am missing, and I am unable to access it. I tried jumping around the area to receive credit for it, but it is cut off by a mountain. No one in my guild currently has that quest, and I cannot find anyone else who does. How do I get it?
Possibly this track from GW1 which can be heard in Orr?
Yes, that was the one. Thank you very much!
It was not Lornar’s Pass either.
I cannot remember exactly how the song sounded, though I have only heard it play in Cursed Shore (or perhaps Orr in general). It was a pretty sad song with a short, very distinct piano solo (or at least remotely close to a solo). Does anyone know what song I am talking about?
And just to let people know, I am not referring to Fear Not This Night. It is an entirely different song.

I sometimes like to play PvP against one of my friends. I am a thief, and he is a mesmer. When we fight each other, on some occasions I will look over to see a clone of me attacking him. He also saw the clones on his screen, and so did one of my other friends. We tried different combinations to figure out why I keep summoning clones, but we can never cause them to spawn intentionally.
Stealing only seems to steal a plasma thing which gives me all available boons, and stealing from his clones seems to do nothing. Has anyone else had this happen to them? My clones also do damage…
