If they have faults it was what they haven’t done. That’s really not a thing though, instead of sitting here bored I went away for a while, came back later and found enough stuff I hadn’t tried before to sustain another few months of action.

Most of this new fluff is also fine. Except the Megaserver, it fills me with a profound sense of sadness and I don’t really know how to react. I’ve been angry at an MMO change before, but never sad. This is new.

The beautiful thing about all this is that we have been able to see all these excellent stories from people who care, the folk who are doing it right for a change instead of the usual moaning about zerker gear/not-zerker gear/Rangers.

I have no idea if I’m normal but I’m on 4K+ hours have no legendary or map completion and have currently an impressive 1 gold 20 silver.

Which is eye-opening as I didn’t have GW2 down as a game I really played that much.

Sure you get to process a lot more Christians, a lot more efficiently but you can’t quantify what you have lost. So it’s impossible to argue against, it happens, we all deal with it and two years later no-one can remember what it was like before.

It’s more like they made a coffee house featuring great indie music and rotating exhibits of cutting edge art with the intent that people would have a good time hanging out and chilling together but instead all of the customers instead insist on doing speed-dating sessions in the bathrooms. In response they decide to keep the bathrooms locked all the time except for 5 minutes every 8 hours.

Ha ha, so true. I’m totally speed-dating in bathrooms all the time while GW2 happens somewhere else. And Oak still never picks me.

It’s the same thing as guys with fancy sports cars or big hummers. When you see a norn with a dagger in his codpiece, you know he’s a keeper.

I’ll allow men to equip either a one handed or a very small 2 handed from the chest region. Only fair since their attributes in that area are smaller.

Good point, the OP didn’t specify a requirement for the number of arms and I could use my bonus arms for holding additional helmets.

I love this line: ‘so I made another Sunrise’. As if twas nothing. I think just having the TwilightStorm tag on your character is exclusive enough at this point.

TwilightStorm you still have six legendaries while I have no legendaries. Amongst my weapons, none of them will even look like legendaries, whereas not only will all of your weapons look like legendaries but many of them will indeed be legendaries. Even the fanciest Wardrobe system can’t close that gap. You totallywtfpawn me at legendaries.

Hmm, GW2 is great but everyone I know that plays/played it would prefer a trinity (it’s about 8 people, don’t get carried away). Or even a duity would be nice. Okay, anything beyond this oneity would be somewhat more interesting than five guys with different coloured helmets.

Having said that, we’ve been frustrating DPS for decades. With the exception of the one or two guys in your guild that rocked the meters DPS was always the low-status role. So it’s good that DPS have a playground here, they’re not just Top-Dog, they are the only dog in a one dog race. I can sympathise with the sensitivity around the issue.

I don’t have any solutions, patching in a trinity would be an absurd gamble for ANet; I’d take the Mystic Forge’s odds of success over that. As long as five mediocre zerkers with no support must be a viable comp there is nothing that can be done.

The good thing about the Oneity is it means I can solo 5-mans so, you know what, I don’t mind either way.
