Shadow of the Mad King content from 2012

I think you’ll be wonderful for the Guild Wars 2 community if all of the Shadow of the Mad King content from 2012 and onward is put back into Guild Wars 2. I’m sure many players would like to fully enjoy the Mad King lore that is not currently accessible. I know the original starting place of the Mad King has been destroyed so I recommend the new emerging point of the Mad King’s Realm in the pit under the Fractals of the Mist Asura Gate. Arenanet could create new lore regarding why the primary portal to the Mad King’s Realm has shifted to a new location. In the Guild Wars 2 Wiki it’s described that Mad King’s Realm also known as the Underworld is a part of the Fractals of the Mist. Putting the primary Mad King’s Realm Gateway under the Fractals of the Mist portal would make for a very interesting lore into my opinion. Please do this and also bring back shadow of the Mad King acts 1 and 2 with all the historical achievements as well for the Shadow of the Mad King.

Crafting racial weapons and armor

I would like to come to have recipes for crafting racial weapons and armor. Of all the racial and weapon recipes that Asura is capable of it’s surprising that are currently are not any asuran Open or armor recipes.

The Guild Wars 2 Wiki states that asuran weapons were once available from a vendor named Blopp in Metrica Province, Jester Falls. The wiki also States the reason for the removal has something to do with game design changes in favor of Cultural Armor only purchaseabl from NPC merchants.

I think that creating and expanding on finger race specific armor and weapons will encourage more players to wear those appearances and that had to a better visual aesthetic within Guild Wars 2. I see the visual aesthetic will be improved because I believe vetscene racial specific gear instead of generic gear on characters would improve player’s ability to Route Planner character and see themselves as their character.

Please readd recipes for race specific armor and weapons.

Crafting and Loot Drop systems seem to clash

Those things are not in competition with each other. It’s all part of the “get it however you want” thing even if they haven’t really embraced that anymore.

My opinion is because I think they’re not embracing any particular method and I don’t know the direction that arenanet is pursuing with this game.

Most likely there is a limit to how long they could embrace a eclectic approach to game design and game play before continuing it became less possible.

I wish they’d pick a direction that’s more consistent with role playing because when I buy a roll playing game I very much wish to roleplay.

Crafting and Loot Drop systems seem to clash

The crafting systems and loot drop systems in Guild Wars 2 seem to clash and create a general sense confusion and disarray:

Loot drop chance for individual creatures may be improved if they were more specific to associated creature. For example Charr characters dropping and Charr items or what the Charr may be carrying. A higher chance of receiving gear that you see the creature wearing after defeating that creature seems to be more intuitive and consistent with the world. Receiving raw crafting materials as a victory reward is immersion breaking an equipment that is not visible on the character is immersion breaking.

Character leveling in Guild Wars 2 seems to be superfluous because content is level adjusted. Finding a another system to govern leveling and equipment progression that would be more in line with roleplay immersion would be more satisfying to players that are committed to roleplaying and world immersion.

Crafting seems to be Superfluous except for producing Ascended and Legendary armors and weapons. It’s likely to progress to level 80 and collect level 80 weapon and armor by random drops before deciding to craft Ascended or Legendary. The game provides for equipment progression by NPC merchants, loot chest rewards, and crafting so it seems to me that these three options “step on each others toes” so to speak. I believe that Guild Wars 2 would have better direction and cohesion if one of these was chosen any other two removed from the game. I’m certainly not in favor of equipment progression by random drop, it’s uninspired and unfun.

NPC merchants and the trading posts and loot chests from dungeons all seem to be in competition with each other. With the addition of Ancestral armor and weapons the direction for equipment progression has become more confusing. Ancestral armor and weapons is not obtainable by random drop or crafting, as I know it, so it seems that the development of Guild Wars 2 seems to be developing towards removing crafting from a game. My perception is that no one cares about the ancestral armor and weapons because by the time you’re at the level to purchase these items from a NPC Merchant the character has already received an item of similar value from a random drop.

I have confidence that ArenaNet it can improve on the these conflicting game systems and improve the overall consistency in gameplay immersion and optimize a full sense of role playing immersion in the world of Tyria.

Thank you for your consideration.

Stamina Refresh Rate

It’s difficult to time a dodge for a evade to happen so I was hoping for more stamina to increase the opportunity. Maybe instead of more stamina there should be a attack indicator for targeted attacks as there is environmental attacks to assist with evading of targeted attacks.

Increase the refresh rate for stamina to that I can dodge ever 3 seconds. I believe combat would be better if the stamina refresh rate were faster.

I’m angry because the mobs are so stupid that this game is not challenging! Stupid mobs are not what was advertised! There are free games that have as good or better AIs!

1. Personal story is not engaging at all. Is so boring that in fact I haven’t finished it
2. Is very annoying that I was promised a living world that my choices have impact and instead I got events that reset every hour and they no more different than traditional quests

I agree, Arenanet need to fulfill their promises to us. They promised a dynamic living world with advanced AI and fulfilled none of it.

Except now a days people want better graphics, which is a resource hog. …

AI scripts run on the server, client side graphics performance is irrelevant for it’s performance

Please explain with better detail. I want to comprehend your point, I’m not disagreeing.
