I don’t know if Obal’s posted his video yet but the other day our group melee’d Bloomhunger at 48 in 1:04.

It’s like watching one of those world record guys do a rubik’s cube and saying “ugh rubik’s cube is such a stupid easy puzzly, nerf pls”
I don’t know about you guys, but I really liked Ca
edited to match the length of the Canach’s exp mode fight
P1 is under 10 minutes in a barely competent group, and down on like 6-7 minutes in an organized speedclear. P2 is pretty long even with a speedclear group, maybe 25-35 minutes? Last time I went in with a PUG I think it took us about 40. P3 is like 15-20 in an average PUG but speed groups should be able to do it in 10-12.
A lot of that is organization, but a lot of it is also group composition and gear/builds/classes.
Completing CoF doesn’t take teamwork. Farming it very quickly (under 6:30) and endlessly does. People that can do the latter will move on to a varied dungeon rotation and be fine. PUG farmers can’t do that, and they’ll either get better at other dungeons, or just give up. That’s fine by me.
lol guy reminds me of the Sphinx from Mystery Men trying to sound deep
You must master the dodge roll, lest the dodge roll master you…
The biggest issue is that they can’t afk and autoattack and they refuse to take any advice on how to be better
stealth at 34s, sparks in at 1:06, stealth at 1:19, sparks in at 1:46, stealth at 2:06, sparks in at 3:00, dead at 3:29.
45 seconds stealth to stealth (except for one where she gave you an extra couple seconds for some reason), and even with a spark pull that lasted longer than a stealth window she gave you enough time to DPS her the rest of the way. The scenario the bug crowd is describing is her popping back at 50% and not giving a full 45 second stealth to stealth window.
I don’t know why some people are getting 45 and some are getting 55, that’s kind of odd. But your vid shows normal behavior as far as I can tell. It’s the stealth-to-stealth window that flips out (I still believe), though we don’t have any video evidence of that yet.

Don’t be discouraged by negative experiences, you can play your class the way you want, also with casual groups. You will be able to get the results. It may only require more time.
Divinity runes and allstat trinkets on Izzy’s warrior oh my god XD
Or it could be un-broken by giving us things to spend it on. Why not have exotic weapons for 50 or 75 thousand? Then the mystic forgers among us could have something to blow it all on. And new players could continue to accrue it at a pace that would allow them to afford things.
I’m going to make a video this afternoon showing how quickly you can get a group using LFG posts that say “all classes welcome”. We can just then post that in response to every single thread like this that comes along (like 2 or 3 times a day it seems)
I forgot how easy it is for people to complain about anything on these forums.
When an exotic dropped, it was a weapon and a stat. You now get to PICK your weapon with pre-selected stat. Just be happy, kitten, and play the game.
And when you don’t need that exotic, you can salvage or sell it.
Apparently at Anet the left hand and right hand are no longer on speaking terms.
This is amateurish.
According to some .dat mining, at one point Anet was considering having the upcoming Kiel/Gnashblade election give us either a fractalized Molten Facility or Aetherblade retreat added to the FOTM rotations.
It seems these plans have changed, and now we’re getting either something about Abaddon’s fall or the Thaumanova meltdown.
I really wish they’d hold off those changes until the underlying problems with Fractals are fixed. Of course two more new ones would make Dredge and Cliffside less likely to appear, but it’d be nice if the problems with those two were fixed. Also, the RNG for rings and fractal weapon skins is still horrible. We need something better to do with useless rings than vendoring them for 5 silver, and we need something better to do with useless skins than Right Click…Destroy. I’ll be marginally more attracted to running fractals with two new ones to check out, but as soon as I get a daily chest with naught but relics and bags of loot (or maybe even worse, another Lost Seal of Usoku), I’ll probably barf.
for PvE
1. Dungeons
2. Dungeons
3. Dungeons
Also stop being a whiny baby using “elitists” as an insult and don’t join speedrun groups if you don’t want to be held to standards.
#1 Stake Thrower - Fires a stake, 1s recharge.
#2 Scale Penetration - Reduces his armor, 12s recharge
#3 Poison Cleanse (aoe) - 5s recharge
#4 Hylek Elixir (aoe) - pulses 1 stack might, fury, and quickness once per second for 8 seconds. 15s recharge
#5 Hylek Salve (aoe) - Protection, Regen, Vigor, 5.5s ,15s recharge
So keep #4 up on stacks of melee folks, keep #2 on Teq as much as possible, and attack him with #1 which does decent damage. It is paramount that you get good people on the turrets as soon as the event is starting.
Anet’s MO for issues like this is to ignore them until they go away. So, making it difficult to ignore is the way to go. It would be good to compile a list of the statements prior to the patch, as well as the patch notes, that stated implicitly or explicitly that SB magic find items would become account bound. Dev responses and ticket responses once the issue became apparent would be helpful too. Maybe a youtube video or two. Post threads in other forums, like the General forum, the Living Story forum, and other sites like reddit or gw2guru.
We should at a minimum get a response of “We’re sorry, it was our screwup.”
sorry guys I’m not as kittening incredible at the game as you are, better talk kitten and condescend as much as humanly possible
I’m perfectly willing to waste my time demonstrating the L2P issues people have with TAFU, but one player doesn’t equal 4 other willing people.
And actually I didn’t imply that every party comp is as effective as any other. That would be ludicrous, as party comp is one of the pillars of organized dungeon play. But luny was insistent that engineers, rangers, and necros can have no place in a successful TAFU run, which is just false.
Tactics, Build, Party. Use all 3, and you burn the tree down in a flash and it looks like the easiest thing in the world. Plenty of videos are out there of groups dropping one of those pillars. Naked runs, 4-man runs, bad group comp runs, no reflect runs, etc etc etc.
But pugs won’t be satisfied until you demonstrate a completely fool-proof, path-of-least-resistance way to complete it, utilizing no tactics, no specific builds, and no specific party comp, because they’re too stupid, lazy, or bad at the game to even attempt to adopt those planks of successful dungeon play.
There’s a few of those in the guild I’m in, saying “well it just involves memorising attacks”. Well sure, that’s a big part of it but you actually need to hone your reflexes. They’ve still yet to show me video evidence of their Lupicus solo kills however, since they don’t touch Arah with a ten foot pole.
Yeah exactly, people who go down that route of criticism never seem to have accomplished the more difficult tasks in this game, STRANGELY
People need to not use the word exploit for everything. An exploit is not a general term for everything that might be nerfed in the future.
Did you all find some mechanism that prevents you from dying? Like are you glitching under the world? If so, that would be an exploit.
Are you fighting and winning? Using normal game mechanics? That isn’t an exploit.
This guy gets it.
Just because the devs (should I say Dev, it seems like Mr. Hrouda consistently undervalues the power of reflection skills) didn’t intend for us to beat him this quickly doesn’t mean it’s cheating to do so.
there is no mod only ModBot
Stop crying that you can’t kill every boss in a single try. It’s ok to make players wipe until they learn.
I miss dungeon books from GW1. Those would be cool to have.
