Swapping chars should results with the other team’s direct win without gane. You are predicting your so called “gonna win” probability with your initial knowledge of team and it becomes flawed after a team changes one or more class.
It will also make some of our so-called pro dudes to stop sending “we won with x many thieves. Stop crying” posts.

Get on with it. You kill someone and that someone can get his/her revenge. Also none can put a karka on your head just he/she died. Mists need 10 blue orbs before it. Every time you scavenge goods, mists get blue orbs. If you dont wanna be karka’d, do not scavenge.

It can be soloed in 15 minutes at most.
People without some technical background can dream about “some tweaks” and “modifications” which will make everything as should be. But it is almost impossible.
First, you need to understand how megaservers are being created now. There is some kind of machine learning algorithm (google it or wikipedia it) behind scene which tries to find your “whom player x likely to play”. Believe me or not but this kind of problem can be a weekly homework in any university’s machine learning class. Because the problem is not the algorithm (it is the easiest part) but the data about players (which is also easy for ANet since they are monitoring us for collecting data).
The hard and almost impossible part is putting you with your party/guild/server/friends to same map. Just think about it only yourself. You are the first person that enter, for instance, Sparkfly. Then your friend enters as the second person. Then his/her friend enters as the third person. And so on.
I know this is the exact system. Actually, until a map reaches its soft cap, everyone can teleport into that map. There is no priority for your party/guild/server/friends which is exactly opposite what ANet said. However, even if they could give priority your social circle, there are HUGE amount of other players with HUGE amount of social circles. If you think about it just for a second, you can understand that it is really a bad problem. Unfortunately, there is no such algorithm/idea/system that can fix this problem if ANet insists on using megaserver system.
In old system, you could meet with your social circle without a problem in your server’s map or you could create your own overflow or you could guest to a lower populated server. However, you HAD CHOICE to do it. Megaserver system took those choices from us and gave us nothing and will continue to give us nothing.
I have to admit that if Guild Wars 2 used megaservers at launch (almost 2 years ago), we could adapt ourselves. However, after 2 years, we made friendships. We construct communities from scratch. We formed guilds and alliances to kill big, bad bosses. Whenever we killed a hard boss, our screams of joy trembled Teamspeak servers.
And now, we have nothing. I open GW2 nowadays, and I am just a random player among huge amount of unknown players. There is no familiar faces for me. I go to Tequatl or Wurm and all I see is random faces again. Even if I try to join my communities’ map, it is also full with more than > 50 random players.
New players may like crowded maps. Altoholics may like crowded maps. But megaservers offer nothing to rest of player base.
Fantastic. Achievement hunters often drag others down.
I blame Arena for making achievements so hard to get.

Please stahp being a white knight for once and admit ANet’s mistake. All they do is closing their eyes and ears to problems, and releasing facebook posts about “Megaservers are the best” while we have 43 pages of complaints.
And don’t tell me “they have said they have a team working on megaservers”. Obviously it is not enough. 2 months, 0 improvement and 0 exact solutions to any given problems.

Well imo as a veteran player I personally don’t care that new players are getting the core game for free. Because my mentality is good for them, thats more people to play with and maybe more new people for my servers WvW. To many Veterans are outcrying that its not fair like a child, however what they don’t realize is that this deal could gain them new players in there guild, new players for there wvw environment and so on and so forth. Plus lets be realistic most expansions are 50 bucks or more. Now on that note I don’t know i’m a veteran myself and just disappointed at the other veterans who would be so hard headed and selfish as to hinder the chance for our community to grow.
So you are telling us that “Pay 50 bucks for inviting new players to your guild.” You do not even care the FALSE ADVERTISEMENT and SCAM action that ANET is committing right now. You care the new players only.
I don’t care which server was the first reach a certain point. I am saying that Desolation has the biggest PvE population now.
Yeah locking up everything behind level-gate requires less grind than the old-fashioned way.

TL;DR summary for newcomers: OP does not like players that don’t play like him. So, ANet should force those players to play like OP.

Stop crying about relying on others. It is not the end of world. You will eventualy get a good lane and get your achievements.

You should play a solo game. Your clearly not a social game player.
No, people that are whining about “relying on others” in an online game’s forums should play a solo game.
Without a schedule players could select which boss they want to do. So you could divide the zerg between bosses. Also, you could do pretty much all world bosses in 2 hours without a problem.
With megaservers, they brought schedules and dynamic events have become dynamic jobs. Because you can kill same bosses in same order in everyday if your online time is same, due to work/school/real life. Moreover, since there can be only one boss available in a given time frame, all players teleport to same map at that time frame which creates overpopulation, performance issues and lags.
Old system was not perfect but a decent system.
Megaservers are the worst idea ever which could fix only “low populated low level map” problem. It has not fixed anything else and it broke lots of stuff that were working with old system.
Try using VPN solution as I described in this link: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/Network-Lag-Merged/page/47#post3678448
It is just a daily solution (as long as you don’t wanna pay for a VPN service or create tons of new email addresses to get free trials everyday), but at least you can try whether it solves your problem or not.
Whining/Crying about “hard content” makes no sense at all too.
To make things clear, you do no have to do hard content. Story-wise, you will miss nothing. Achievement wise, if you are not a achievement-x (let say x = lover), nobody cares your situation.

Because adding a “custom option” which had existed shouldn’t take more than 1 hour to hotfix (instead of 2 days for now).

A gf just started to play this game and we are actually seeing people arround so we got a great time cause the world isnt empty anymore ..ofc it need some improvements but for god sake stop qq about good idea which is still worked on ..they got 10 members workung on megaservers so give constructive feedback , the idea is nice But , you should do deead or dat because off <<<<x

That’s the problem. You are new and only new players like it because they dont belong any server or cross-server wide community.

Because they should not have implemented megaservers like they did at first place.
They should have listened our feedbacks just after their first megaserver roll-outs. They should have moved step by step. Instead what they did is: “We implemented megaservers. We do not care your feedbacks. So all maps are megaservers now[in one week]. Deal with it. If we want, we may improve some stuff soon[never].”
They should have not even implemented megaservers anyways. They destroyed every server and every server (and even cross-server) communities just because they want new players to see crowded maps. Why? Because more is good. Bite me.

Oh geez megaserver lovers’ only argument is “megaservers are good because of crowded maps”, and you ask lowering player cap. What a coincident! You could get your crowded maps or not so much crowded maps without any problem. But someone out there wanted to fix something had not broken at first place.
To please new players, alienate old ones. It seems a good idea to me.

that’s not fair, i feel bad for the programmer.. it’s not uncomman to modify and they did a good job too.. how were they supposed to know people were going to go ‘argumentative’ about a modification to a set that was available for a Year…
i’ve lost hundreds of gold when availability/value of things in this game have changed Overnight.. i try to be considerate in a manner that i wouldn’t hold it against anyone if liadri came back nerfed, or {i’m norn} if more people wore Eir Stegalkin armor..
at the very least the new flamekissed mask does what it is designed to do..

First thing first, I don’t think, and hope, ANet is not using programmers to design an armor skin.
Second, they could let first buyers, before the big whinestorm, hold their old skins. They didn’t do that. They promised a new skin and a refund. I, personally, hoped a better skin than old Flamekissed skin after so many discussions in here. Instead, they came up with the ugliest thing I can ever imagine. They HAD TO design a better skin (as better as old one); however, they gave us another reskin. I will repeat myself “Whoever did this reskin needs to be fired.”
As one individual, I won’t give one, single cent to this game in future. Because, a third person can whine harder and your money will be wasted.

Worst analysis of megaservers ever…
Before megaservers, all slackers chose the easy way => guesting into a populated server instead of doing it on their own.
After megaservers, all maps become an overflow => slackers again choose the easy way, which is LFG tool.
I really wanna see you find a populated an organized map without using LFG tool at least 30 minutes before a Tequatl or Triple kitten event.

- Megaservers: There was a 43 pages of thread about it with 0 positive feedback from ANet.
- Killing server identity with hammer
- World boss zergination or synchronization.
- Not fixing/punishing exploits/hacks in WvW (However, if you threat their economy, they will sent you hell in 5 seconds).
- Not fixing obvious reward problem from Season 1 until Season 2 + 9 weeks and counting.
For me, the only good thing they did in near past is nerfing Dredge fractal to oblivion.
So many “more is good” players again. Let’s make it clear:
More is not good if you are a part of a community and just because someone asked “more players” please, your community torn apart.
More is not good if you want to see familiar faces not random dudes that think “more is good yuppie”.
More is not good if you want something challenging in open world instead of brainless “push 1” activity.
More is not good if you want something easy. Because zerg already finished that easy task before youç
More is not good if you want to do something challenging like Wurm with your own community.
More is not good if more random people refuse to enter Teamspeak and ruin your one possible attempt of a megaserver.

Kick AFK players from map, game and -if possible- world. Let them be afk only for 15 minutes.
As I said again and again more players does not make MMOs what they are. Communities do MMOs what they are.
You are happy because you are seeing random bunch of people in your map. I wanna ask you that do you even have friends among them? Have you ever tried to make friends among them? I just tell you this, even if you do, megaservers will crush your fresh friendship. Because when you both use WP to go same map; with %95 probability you will be separated into different maps. Yeah you can try “join” option. But since ANet screw boss schedules, ALL PVE PLAYERS have to dive into that same map. If you or your friend is not faster enough, you can’t join each other because both of yours map will be full.
Another said s/he did more temples and champs. And I said I did more Tequatl and Wurm before Megaservers. Now I can’t. Because the community I could do such events can’t gather players in the same map as we were used to be. Random clueless players without listening/reading abilities are not good for such events (and even if they have listening/reading abilities in their native tongue, megaservers dont care whether you are a french/german/spanish in EU).
I will rewrite my statement again:
- More is not good if that more is created by random players not by your server or cross-server community.
- More is good only if you are not part of a community and do not think to be a part of a community (since less social abilities you need to use such as talking/listening and so on).

As if they are listening any feedbacks. Their only response for the 41 pages of feedbacks is “We have a team for megaservers.”

If this system is not %100 ready, why did they force this MEGACRAP on us? Couldn’t they just turn several maps (one map from each level+one city map) and test their system? Or maybe for one week, they could change every map to a megaserver, collect data and then return to the old system until they could do everything perfect?
