Make own lfg, make sure the description attracts like-minded people. Don’t play in “speeclear” or any other groups described like that if you’re looking for more laid back people

Indeed. I think everyone enjoyed them a lot the first times running them. Awesome experience. During the next 100 times they become less and less awesome and you won’t feel like using up any extra time there. Efficiency becomes priority; saving time while gaining more gold.
You’ll want to be running dungeons with like-minded people, one of the biggest problems I see here are different people ending up in same parties. Since you want to take your time and enjoy the dungeons, avoid the groups looking for experienced and fast runs for now, instead make your own group where everyone is welcome.

The intentions of it were pretty cool; play PvP/WvW there while waiting in queue to get in to your map, but then the playerbase turned it into the abomination it is today where people just run in big PvE karmatrains, level their low level characters and some guilds/people go there to either farm bags from these karmatrains or troll them in other ways.
Instead of WvW, it’s a place to… farm. Farm WvW ranks, farm karma, farm champbags, farm xp, farm lootbags and it is highly rewarding.
They could had done it like this and they didn’t.
In fact i never played a game which is so human biased like this one.
in tera however human is my least favored race.
I use to chose magic races in games but
i play here only asura and human because the rest is so boring.

I see, thank you. However I do hope it has a skill type even though it means it will be nerfed; it should be an exception of the rule on all skills (oh maybe it is because I am a programmer).

It’s a WvW thing, you wouldn’t understand.
With runes of the trapper, a ranger using traps and hunter’s shot would easily be able to achieve stealth every 4 to 5 seconds, if traited, and if they cycle through their skills properly. That’s about as often as a thief would be able to achieve stealth in an ideal situation, given the revealed debuff lasts 4 seconds as well.
So, here we have a class with 1500 range, whose rapid fire can do as much damage as a backstab, and that can stealth just as often as a thief. So, tell me, what is the downside to thieves having 1050 range and stealth, when another class can already achieve the same situation, only with vastly superior range, and other advantages on top of it (for example, ranger pets can continue attacking even while they are stealthed).
The problem I have with the point you are trying to make, is that all you say is that the result will be bad without actually giving proper reasons as to why, aside from trying to dictate that thieves should be close combat classes (which you also don’t give proper reasoning for). Then when someone refutes your point you act as if they are simply not thinking things through, when it actually seems as though I am the one thinking this through much more than you are.
If I can’t see your point, perhaps it’s because you are failing to make one properly. O_o
Trapper runes and traps are condition damage, the Longbow is a power weapon… No Ranger going for trapper runes and traps will be doing any damage with longbow. You lack information about the subject you are complaining about.

Nah. It’s a relatively low cost skill that gives a good bulk of mobility. It provides swiftness instead of a 25% boost, with all the pros and cons of that. But it costs no trait points or rune slots, and doesn’t require a specific weapon either.
I find it a plausible contribution as to why Guardians don’t have access to an always-on 25% movement speed ability.
Not even shoutbuilds use Retreat, it has an extremely high cost since it takes a whole utility slot and removes your own survivability when competing with consecrations, meditations and other actually powerful shouts. It needs to be traited for shorter cooldowns and an Aegis heal to make up for that. It is one of those skills that look good on paper but when you go out there and get in combat with other players, you notice it doesn’t work.
Outside of mapping in PvE or blocking some telegraphed attack by an AI-mob it has not much uses, unlike a permanent, uncorruptable +25 minor trait. With Lemongrass, Melandru Runes that is a permanent -90% cripple, chilled and immobilized. With Guardian you can reach a 6 second window of 98% if you have traited Purging Flames.
I’m happy the Mesmers get it, but stating freaking Retreat is a good reason to keep movement speed from Guards is a joke.

and you sound like a jelous person who begrudges people well deserved rewards. These rewards are already really tiny considering it takes many thousands of hours to get there. A year has 8760 hours. Thats not enough to get 30k+ points.
So you begrudge people who dedicated insane amounts of times to get a tiny selection of rewards. Because lets face it, adding these achievement rewards took anet way way less man hours than it will take a single person to even reach 20k AP.
what you fail to understand is that you have an unfair advantage towards getting that AP simply because you started earlier when AP farming was easier
you are unable to see it from the eyes of a beginning player who simply can not get any of that AP you got from LS1 and other historical content, it has been removed from the game and while new content is coming out it has less AP with it
and by the means, drop that “you being jealous”-repeating, what i am being is fair. remove the AP from LS1 and other historical content from your account only you have access to, to place you on the same line as everyone else and i am fine with keeping the required AP at 40k or whatever it is now

You’re not getting “screwed out” when the coolest stuff in game are not cheap and easy to get.
What makes you think you deserve ascended stuff at all if you’re not willing to do anything for them?
I thought at first it was a good idea to make a cool upgradeable skin only leaving the ascended part hard, but people just keep demanding more. The whole back item should have been ascended from the first version.
- All attributes gained from traits in the earlier system were removed
- Base stats were buffed
- Instead of picking from 5 different trait lines and getting unwanted attribute points (like condition damage on your power build for example) and having your points spread out and sacrificing a lot for just to get 1 minor trait to your build you now only pick 3 lines (like 6/6/6), they also merged, reworked or made baseline some traits. Some of them need a bit of reworking still.
I assume the wheels you are talking about is the unlocking part of utilities and traits. Your goal in that wheel is just to unlock them so you can use them. If you have enough points just unlock them all immediately, if not, logically unlock the ones you will be using
edit: mods merging threads without a good reason can make some posts look really out of place.

Yup that is one reason I can not simply go to other games, the character customization in them always feels weak compared to the rich variety of options here
Btw just if you are not aware there are more face- and hairstyles, eye- and hair-colours exclusively available in total makeover-kits, which are available in the gem store (sounds like I’m working for Anet haha)
Killed one of those skillspammers the other day with my staffguardian running the zerg-meta, or well, he pretty much killed himself on retaliation and then having nothing to recover with. Medguards who don’t spam skills however are another story – but far from OP.
The basic tactic of a skillspammer is keeping up so much pressure on you that you are too frightened to do damage back, but the moment the Medguard loses the pressure on you his cooldowns will get him killed.
Also of this magical renewed focus recovery, all it does in 99% cases is buy a few seconds more time before going down unless he is able to flee completely with the help of it

No, it doesn’t. Only the humans do a sort of kneeling animation for like .0000002 seconds before casting an 8-10k attack that pierces and is on a 4 second cool down. Not sure why only the humans do it but the other races don’t kneel.
The animation needs to change and become super obvious, casting time increased, and cool down increased. Right now when I use DH it’s such easy mode that I feel bad running the spec since it’s the FOTM for guardians.

I believe there could be more build variety instantly if we would get a 25% movement speed trait and less builds would be reliant on Traveler Runes for movement and Virtues for F2 when you could go hoelbrak or melandru as an example

Unfortunately, the actions of one player does tarnish a server’s reputation. Servers need to be accountable for their player base and servers do set the tone as to what is acceptable and what is not.
Hacking or use of exploits is not acceptable within the GH community which you try to make it sound like it would. Don’t be a sore loser. GH has recently got a huge boost in their WvW population and I can’t be sure of what sort of people have transferred though. You are also making accusations of hacking and exploiting without having even a single person from your server to actually see it happening! One thief hiding with stealth inside a tower can flip it alone.
Please make sure you have “nearest target” keybinded on your keyboard, it will help you locate any hiding mesmers, (unstealthed)thieves and also exploiters inside of walls.
