The complaints I saw about GvG were about losses in WvW when GvG was going on. WvW shouldn’t lose anything because of GvG. If the guilds are organized enough to fight GvG, they should be able to keep losses in WvW from happening when they do it.
GvG is even number fights 15 of us actually had 25 of them tied up in the GvG or watching and got trolled for not helping our server its was a known chat troll of course. There is no logic behind the GvG hate, all the WvW guilds on ET understand and dont troll our GvGs because they see us doing WvW 99% of the time anyway.
Its just a small minority of casual WvW trolls and Anet Devs that hate GvGs
Hey all!
As many of you may know already, team Denial Esports won the MLG Guild Wars 2 Invitational last Friday. Please join me in congratulating them, it’s well deserved!
Congrats!!
I didn’t know it!! Thanks, i didn’t care before, and now, i don’t care either.
Ruins are fail, leagues will be as well. Leave your comment if you agree/disagree !
They were the top 16 teams, so getting there had to take a fair amount of skill. End result this is the best sPvP team in Guild Wars and they have my congrats.
Not sure what this had to do with GvG at all…
No offence , im from w machine and we find the lack of gvg fail just saying i lol at these tourneys all meta rubbish no imagination , not because of the players because of the lack of diversity , just sayin , we could put a team out n roll the winners :P
I want to know how many viewers their were. I need a good laugh.
About 1,000 during the finals. Never hit 2,000 viewers. However, the weird thing was it was fun to watch (mostly) and there were some great matches.
The future growth argument doesn’t work with this saturated genre. Next year the next shiney MMO will get all the eSport love.
Its actually kinda funny, for all the hate GvG is getting in this thread it stands probably the best chance of catching on as a 15 v 15 RPG style open combat game mode is unheard of in the industry. GW2 has the only current RvR game mode in the industry which is why they are trying to capitalize on that with leagues now.
There is a reason its pulling in near the same numbers of viewers when casted (without any fancy tools like spectator mode and custom servers) as sPvP events.

I don’t get it… GvG seems like a win/win situation for everyone. Two guilds get to throw themselves at each other in a friendly skirmish and all the siege champions can smash their faces against doors and lay down epic plans to conquer the battlefield with mighty machines of war! The pugs and commanders can farm that WXP without looking over their shoulder.
Edit: I can only imagine the people opposing GvG’s to be the same people who sit on a treb for hours on end.
“dodging saves lives.”
Because it’s ridiculously strong is the biggest reason I can think of it. Most people just don’t want to duel against it.
I think they should have banned Maces instead.

Well, I admire your creativity with all this stuff. But the fact that A-Net would never ever balance the game around 15v15 is a big reason why this mode could be confronted with big problems on balance-changes.
It is kind of funny, A’net admitted that they don’t put any effort into balancing wvw/pve but by doing to created the most balanced format in the game.
all we need a custom arena which will allow us to use our WvW gear/builds/skills
This
Just do that and our community will handle the rest.

No, just someone in a balance Tier (Tier 1).
Everyone BG/JQ/SoR needs to be banned from the conversation on Bloodlust.
Hello Anet,
I agree with Spurnshadow. The new bloodlust buff has given all WVW players a lot more to do on the borderland maps. This change especially benefits smaller roaming havoc guilds that cannot field a zerg, but can field enough to hold and keep the buff. This meaning that every kill they get makes them feel like they are actually supporting the server as a whole, instead of just flipping camps and assisting on the occasional keep take. This change has completely renewed my faith in WVW and pulled me away from the stale state the Borderlands had been in before.
This change has also had make great changes to zerging. Since the change has been put into place I have witnessed several zergs having to break up into squads to take and hold the points in order to prevent being back capped by a havoc squad of another server. This is doing wonders for reducing total level of zerging occurring in these maps. I have also seen some zergs have to make the hard choice of losing a tower or keep vs keeping or taking the buff, because they now understand how much power the buff actually gives a servers players in the ability to earn points for their realm.Thank You for this update! And I can’t wait until the new seasons are released !!
This is your first and only post on the forums?!?!

Hello,
[SIC] Strident Iconoclast is currently recruiting a secondary driver for NA Prime (6-11pm cst)
We currently reside on Isle of Janthir, we were formerly of Fort Aspenwood.
So first, who are we?
and finally our GvG side:
[SIC] is composed almost exclusively of roamers and PvP players. We have been together for 3 months, this has allowed us to function at a very high level during combat as we know each other very well.
We typically roam NA prime with a group ranging from 9-15 players.
Our main focus is simple:
Destruction
The way in which we do this is by seeking out large groups and engage them in an extremely aggressive disciplined manner.
Our focus before the orb buffs was strictly GvG 15v15 style. This style of play translates extremely well to open world play.
This guild has 0 interest in PPT.
Now that you know a bit about us, what exactly are we looking for in you?
*A player with very high level of individual skill. Logging many hours in sPvP is a bonus
*The driver must have a very strong knowledge of ALL classes, not just the one he/she is playing.
*The driver should have many hours with another notable guild.
*The driver must have hundreds of hours on either Warrior or Guardian
*The driver must HATE losing
*The driver must be completely confident running in very low numbers
*The driver has to have a complete understanding of game mechanics (fields/group buffing)
There is an application process.
You can apply at:
Stridenticonoclast.guildlaunch.com
Simply head there, fill out an application, explain that you are applying for the Driver position than we will get back to you shortly.
If at this stage it appears you are a fit for us, We will proceed to having you join our spvp arena and engage in a duel with our ‘gate keeper’
If at this point you are still interested in us, and we are still interested in you. I think you will have a great time with us.
Any further questions,
Please contact me in game or post on here and 1 of us will get back to you

Wait… y’all are in hs??? I am so old…
Evalana confirmed for grandmother of maguuma
1 – tell them their servers are full – lock it up and prevent any further transfers, leave them stuck in their servers – tell them it’s because you want to build the rest of the Gw2 population or something and don’t let them transfer out.
2 – Reward players stat bonuses for each month they served on their current server.
3 – make a 2nd wvw sub match that limits the wvw maps to 60 players – 12 hour matches to eliminate the overnight coverage imbalance on the score.
us lower tier servers will take it from there.

It’s not my fault people kitten and moan about a buff they can’t keep because they have no coordination as a server.
Translation:
“I stacked to a better server and leech off the numbers we have, why dont you?”
Stat increase = gear grind.
Gear grind = no money from me ever again.
today in eb we informed that one of our serevr’s pvp guild disbanded because of bloodlust.
the reason is that it ruined the custom gvg that had in south area in borderlands.
is this difficult to neutralize the south area from this buff to allow the pvp guilds continue have fun in their way ?
i think it is the easiest fix , ofc, if you want it to fix it
i want to also give one general advice to www game designers .
i am ok about changes , i want changes , all we want changes ,but these changes so far drastically change the game and you are creating bad feedback in your player base ……
this is not very wise you know !
do small changes and all will have time to deal with the changes and you will have time to correct the problems that are creating
Looks logical, therefore, it must be wrong. Back to the drawing board for you.
Higher George Lucas, so GW2 can reach truly epic levels of sequel let down.
Diablo 3 has more viewers on twitch…
