It should be Phantasmal FURY because they’re ANGRY and LOUD >:O
PS: Phantasms should also spam the audio cue for fury when they gain it.

Diamond Skin.
Counters all the face on keyboard rolling necros/engis/condiwars that the meta promotes.
I love it.
… you keep pressing your ‘blink’ key when playing another class and wonder why nothing happens.
Luna Solares – Mesmer
Another point to throw on the long list of why this Ferocity change was poorly thought out and not needed.
Actually it’s good. A shatter mes will have an easier time surviving vs power/crit burst. Meanwhile Anet can start increasing the damage on particular class features where needed, i.e. shatters, or blurred frenzy, etc.
I will never quit lol, the mesmer community has many diehards.
Those who like the mesmer will adapt, those that play on a flying fancy will switch to the next shiny class they see doing well.
People who love the class will stay and adapt, don’t worry. :]

You know you’ve been reading the forums too much when “kitten” replaces all your swear words IRL.
When someone says “Watergate” and you think of your garrison before Richard Nixon.
When someone gets hurt and starts to bleed and you get the urge to yell “Shake it Off!”
When someone trips and you yell “Stand your Ground” to give them some stability.
When you imagine that you could cast Line of Warding to keep your boss away from your desk for just 5 minutes longer.
When you get a compliment at work on a job well done an you say “I achieve things, I’m an achiever!”
When you go somewhere new and call out “New land!”.
When you think about the stock market as a place to practice your TP skills. Not the other way around.
When you start pricing everything that you spend money on IRL by how much it would cost in gems.
When you hear someone say what’s the current score, and you feel the need to check your phone and tell them how your server is doing in WvW.

Someone once said in-game… “Sleep is when you play GW2 without a computer”.
I loved it. Thought I’d share it.
I also love it. WvW can be so much fun, but sometimes I don’t feel like dealing with all of the server drama. Eotm is perfect because you can just hop in and out at your convenience.
EotM is where I go to train people about WvW without crippling anything in the normal modes.
You can learn alot there without having to worry about people screaming at you that you are doing something wrong. You can experiment and try out new things without people breathing down your neck and the constant worry about PPT. This is where it shines.
I know alot of people that avoided WvW because of the harsh people expecting everyone to know the ropes day 1.
Sure, its a karma-loot fest for some, I use it as a tool.
Also, some epic fights can still be had, heck, perhaps even more so than in normal WvW given you have to be aware of your surroundings.
Osicat and Flimp got me into playing mesmer, but i think it’s best to work for being your own idol.

Just fight Baruch Bay…
Sry, I couldnt resist.
Back to topic, I´ve tried out PhantDisenchanter several times but it´s not reliable enough for me while roaming solo. If you get chased by a group and you need condition cleanse, MoR is far superior imho (doesnt fail due to blind, has no casttime…). But I would rly like to see someone using it effectivly in a shatter build because I like the concept of the skill.

Lots of good mesmers out there, but the one that stands out for me is Seven Mirror.
Seven was easily the best solo/small man wvw roaming mesmer to play the game. Definitely in the running for best roamer ever. Seven was top notch in both theory crafting and gameplay. He led the mesmer roaming meta for a long time. On top of all that he was a great guy.
A real shame he left the game. Any wvw roamers should check out his YouTube videos, even if the builds are completely outdated.

When u kill an elementalist under moa form does he count as a elementalist for the daily kill variety or as a moa….
Three things to learn from this thread:
1) A mesmer’s best defense is a good offense.
2) A mesmer’s second-best defense is prevention-before-cure.
3) A mesmer must be capable of predicting what their enemy will do.
In fewer words, this means that mesmer doesn’t have as much active defense as other professions and we have to learn to deal with that. ArenaNet feels this is fair (apparently) because we have a higher amount of passive defense. Once you learn how to predict, you no longer have to react.
While this is kittened, it does mean that playing mesmer will make you better at every other profession.
Sanctum of Rall since beta 3. Mesmer since 1070 AE
Step 1: Make all elite skills into normal utility skills. Rebalance as needed.
Step 2: Make the elite slot a utility slot.
Step 3: Allow each character to designate one of their equipped utilities as “Elite”, increasing it’s effect and reducing it’s cooldown.
Inspired by GW1 elites, which were usually super powered normal skills that you could only have one of at a time.

Ranger: What did the fox say!?
it’s just a zerg fest of giant groups spamming AoE on another giant group, and giant groups just whailing their weapons against doors. There’s nothing even really to it unless you’re the commander. It’s just lame.
Funny thats how i feel about PvE these days. One living story update after another, just mindless zerg content.
Or champ farming in Orr/FG. The only time i need my keyboard is to jump a small gap. Dont pretend WvW is just mindless zerging, its what you make of it. And just as well, PvE has a ton of equally mindless zerging aswell.
I think that would confuse players too much.
