The line that keeps being used is “We hear what the community is asking for”. That actually makes matters worse because they hear us but they just don’t actually care what we think.
And impartial observer would’ve noted that revamping the loot pinatas we call world bosses was something many players asked for, me included. Didn’t a recent thread about making the open world harder get upvoted?
People have been asking for things like player housing, new races/skills, gvg, better armor choices, more WvW updates, polymock, precursor crafting/scavenger hunt, new legendaries, guild halls, and other things far more than just making Tequatl behave slightly differently.
This.
So far what they showed on the stream was just disappointing.
3 wvw kills
Cmon guys dont event try to White knight on this, they really fail on this one
Can see this thread being locked because too many people expressed their disappointment and its not negativity mods want to see here rofl
Im watching the stream and this looks dumb as hell. Its exactly what we’ve had since game was released but this time around its more of a chore that takes even longer to spam your autos. They already talk about teq achievements as if its something that will increase your fun while auto attacking and rezing for 30 minutes.
wow i never asked for this——

No word on what’s happening to opals?
Celestial gear IS obsolete. Magic find isn’t the reason why. Why bother crafting exotic celestial armor now when the ascended equivalent is going to roll out in a couple of months?

I think we need to revisit the definition of “hilarious”, here…
That would be a really awesome twist, though. Torn, though, cus I love the look of DR and destroying half of it would be very Not Cool.
Because someone on the ANET team thinks we get excited for time-gated content. They think it makes us feel like we’re “progressing” and that we care about it.
OH BOY, LOOK AT ME! I’M PROGRESSING DADDY, I’M PROGRESSING!

Another day (as many MANY others) putting 20g in exo staves into the mystic toilet and got nothing. I miss only The Legend to make Bifrost since march and well….I really have enough of this. Is this going to be changed or am I just wasting my time and better change game to feel “rewarded”?
This made me think of Arthur winning Excalibur at a casino. No journey, no quest, no epic moments, just putting A LOT of money into a f….. slot machine.
I wish I could have all my money and my time spent in this game back.
Seriously.
Anyone else feeling this way?
EDIT: please don’t tell me to buy from TP becouse I’m not gonna pay anyone else for having more luck than me, or I drop it or I forge it, it’s a matter of principles.

Hello all,
I’ve been playing now for a few month after release on and off, and this is the first post I have made due to how frustrating this trading post is. In short – it’s far too basic and clumsy.
I think if we’re in the mood to sort out the wallet, we could at least be able to sort out the TP so we could search for armour by type in addition to slot and rarity. Let me filter heavy armour, or let me select to see only items that my class can use.
Let me search specifically for items which go into the back slot rather than try and find the name of some.
Let me search for skins I could apply without having to look through all the consumables because skins cannot be filtered
…and at an absolute push – and I’m not too bothered on this – let me search for items that have a specific type of stat (eg Precision).
Once upon a time there was a game called Dark Age Of Camelot. That was out years ago and you probably played it yourselves. Even that had a better system. The current one – well if it was my work – I’d be ashamed to have left it so basic for so long.
The fact you can only find certain items if you know the name of them goes to prove that point.
I love the extra content, but don’t forget that stuff you made to the standard of “It’ll do” could always do with some refinement.
However I will say that players with higher AP’s will on average be better players. They are more likely to know mechanics, know their class and have spent time learning the game. There will always be exceptions, but on average I find that players with >5k AP’s are much easier to play with then those with <1k AP’s.
Pugging is a dangerous road. You can get a bad group of PUGs and an easy run can turn into a nightmare. 30 minute run is not over an hour.
You really don’t have much to gauge the group you are with. If I see someone with high AP, I just figure he/she has been playing a little longer than someone with less than 1000.
Does that mean he/she is better? No, definately not always. But with the limited information I have to go by, I can use that to guess they have played a little longer and are hopefully a little more skilled at the required tactics than someone who doesn’t have that much AP.
That said, I don’t discriminate against people when PUGging for any reason. Unless they are just plain bad.
And I never give a guardian a hard time about dying. Guardians are the focus of the aggro the vast majority of the time, alleviating pressure off the rest of the team. If they die more there it is usually because they are getting the brunt of it.
the problem with AP is that i’ve earned more points from clicking on laurel vendors then I have from getting a legendary or getting dungeon master.
AP means nothing if the guy is playing on an alt and is still learning the ropes of the profession/skills and not the dungeon.
AP means something if the guy is playing on one of his mains but doesn’t know the dungeon
AP means everything if the guy is playing on his main AND knows the dungeon extremely well.
Translation:
1. A noob is a noob and a pro is a noob when it comes to using new professions.
2. A noob is still a noob in the dungeon, but as long as follows instructions, he’s useful.
3. A pro is a pro and must be followed. He’s the leader from who you learn runs.

This is proof? Heh. Here’s some “proof” that says otherwise:
Just did a CM exp run with 3 people below 1k AP. All 3 were completely clueless. Instead of making it a quick 20-minute run, it took well over an hour because the 3 of them were downed/defeated nearly the whole time and refused to use waypoints to revive.
There’s a reason why no good teams run an Anchor anymore, let alone AH (in any dungeon).
Because zerkers are best.
Mobs prioritize high thoughness builds.
We all knew it was coming. I just really hope there is no stats increase, just the ability to change stats at will on the armor. I.e no more power, just different looks and flexibility.
- Two things are certain:
1) It will be power creep. Like comparing player with ‘rare’ armor to player with exotic armor, so will the new tier obsolete the old. Unless you farm your materials for this new tier, you’ll be outclassed in PvP modes, shunned by dungeon pugs and your alts will be farther and farther behind main characters in power scale.
2) It will be grind. A company whose profits come from keeping the servers full is not going to give this thing away. New materials and collectibles will be released to ensure there are no shortcuts. You’ll be squandering your life away with tedious farming tasks that don’t respect your human condition, but rather tap into the reptilian part of the brain that is addicted to this sort of thing.
Warning: Cycicism incoming.
It will be three new greatswords, two new swords, two new longbows, the worst looking staff you’ve ever seen, and one of everything else… except for maces, pistols, and rifles, which get nothing.
But make no mistake. If you didn’t make your Gold from the Queen’s Gauntlet, or Champion farming, you’ll be left behind in terms of wealth. That’s why it’ll be interesting to see how Anet responds to this.
This is incredibly hyperbolous. In the last week, the median player earned less than 3 gold in the new content (that’s discounting all players who earned less than 1 gold).
I think that just reinforces the point made. The median player earned less then 3 gold but many others have made hundreds by farming the pavilion and other champions.
My top ten predictions:
1. “Thanks to the efforts of (insert NPC of your choice here), we have been able to secure a new trade agreement with the people of Cantha/Elona.”
2. “Logan and I are getting married, and you all are invited to the wedding feast. As the Watchknights have been proven to be somewhat unreliable, security will be provided by our new friends, the White Mantle.”
3. “We have learned the the Aetherblades actually come from a future Tyria which is ruled by—” And at this point she is assassinated.
4. “Your face is funny! Watch the ledges!!!” (Rambling and utterly drunk on skritt beer, her highness is led from the pavilion leaning on a very embarrased Rox.)
5. “CITIZENS! CITIZENS! CITIZENS!!!” (Those of you who remember the original Southsun Cove release will recognize this.)
6. “Zoija of Destiny’s Edge has unveiled what she considers to be the ultimate solution to the centaur problem. She calls it a glue factory…”
7. “All hail UberQuaggan!”
8. “I am pleased to announce that the charr have named Rytlock Brimstone as their new Khan-Ur. In celebration of this, cowtapults will be erected in all parts of Tyria.”
9. "His Undead Excellency Palawa Joko has graciously offered to “repopulate” the lost land of Orr with his own people…"
10. “And now let us welcome our guest speaker Trahearne, who will offer some words of encouragement in these dark times…wait, Logan, where are you running off to? LOGAN!!!”
