Here are potential issues with the change to dungeon ownership
-If you are selling, 2 people can easily kick you and steal your instance, simply killing the boss themselves. Two decent players would be able to do any end boss in Arah quite fast (or even invite their friends afterwards) and honestly griefers could very well use this opportunity to do all arah paths in record time.
People shouldn’t sell dungeon paths in the first place.
ArenaNET have stated that they are OK with people selling dungeons as long as no exploits were used. It has been around since Guild Wars 1 : Prophecies.
This is also not the thread to discuss this. Please do not clutter the thread with these offtopic remarks.
This is a necro but the question is still relevant to me since I was thinking about submitting pretty much the exact same thread but I found this through a google search of the forums.
They creating more 5 min dungeons , RNG skins and more feminine clothing for the gem store
the frill around the neck kills the outfit for me, if i could remove that, i would get it…………..or better yet, make it an armor set so i can mix and match
Guild Wars 2 Lead Designer
I would love to get people thoughts on what stat combinations they would like to see added to the game?
A lot of good advice there in terms of the story.
Another important aspect to remember is story telling in a video game, which introduces its own unique challenges. ANet has improved a lot since the beginning of LW, but they haven’t really cracked it yet. There a few interesting videos on video game narrative over at http://extra-credits.net/ (should probably link the videos themselves and not the site, but they’ve overall got a lot of good content). Some of your points might in part be as a result of ANet not fully knowing how this new LW concept can be used to convey a story.
It’s my hope that Scarlet was only a test run, that they’re taking everything they’ve learned from her arch and reapplying it to season 2.
Greetings and salutations.
With Season 1 of the Living Story drawing to a close, it seems appropriate to offer review and reflection of everything that has come thus far. Sadly, there is much to consider, as the brand new path trod by Anet has many missteps and mishaps along the way.
Rather than talk about individual flaws, I thought it might be best to take a stab at the overall writing style of the Living Story and the narrative flaws it continues to exhibit. Plot holes come and go, individual complaints will always remain, but the best way to help Season 2 is to consider the pitfalls of Season 1 from a writing and gaming perspective. And so, I thought I would offer up a bit of constructive criticism in silly infographic format.
For your consideration, Fifteen Lessons From Fifteen Months of Scarlet Briar.
So glad I had made 3 incinerators. Thanks Anet.
Although it will be nice to have the 15 other legendaries I have all across my account
Will there be an option to unbind doubles so I can sell 2 of them? I certainly hope so.
I see that map chat bragging just doesnt cut it for you anymore.
The Pinnacle of Resposibility [Mom]
Here to voice a concern? More like to show off your legendaries.
Eternity, The Juggernaut, Kudzu…
Since it costs transmutation charges to use a new set of looks from your wardrobe its essentially a rental system and not a wardrobe.
I dont know about you, but if I use a real life wardrobe I can change as much as I like without paying for each change.
The male human ones were awful.
Wish they gave more than 3 effeminate hair styles.
I mean, the long hair style looked like it’s been hair sprayed.. lol
Yes the gem price is ridiculous, but how exactly does buying gems (and converting it to gold) make you win?
Makin ascended weapons and soon my guess ascended armor !
There needs to be a dang check box on the chest piece like the ones on helmet/shoulders/gloves that lets you TURN OFF every scrap of the chest item that falls below the waist.
I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”
- Jareth, King of Goblins.
Why do you actually release so many weapons and yet so few armor skins? It has been said multiple times, that medium armor for males ONLY has trenchcoats and nothing attractive at all. Will thi sstay like that? Will ascended armor be a potato bag for male rangers, thieves and engineers?
My Main is a Necro, And I got all the permanent tools. I did buy gem using $ to get them.
If Molten Pickax can be reset back to inventory again without being soul bounded to my necro.
I will buy the bone pick without any hesitation!
Please Reset it for all your eager necro buyers!

We will have an announcement about the NA leagues and seasons generally soon. But there are changes coming in.
“We have finished analyzing all of the data we collected. Thanks to feedback from our valued player base, we have decided to double the orb bonuses for the first season. We are also condensing NA/EU into 1 league each, so get those transfers in now before it’s too late!”
Selling one are we? Most subtle. Please note the “these forums are not a grey market” sticky.
@OP
I am sure your case is not unique. In fact, I would be more surprised to discover there was no insider knowledge/trading going on.
Furthermore, I am equally as sure Anet knows very well this has been going on since game launch and does nothing about it, and, either by design or default, encouraging it to continue.
ya, it is pretty obvious some people do have access to information prior to the release.
Hopefully the answer is “never”, but well…you know how it goes.
Any chance of a confirmation that this will never exist please?
Oreo cookies taste good with milk.
You guys planning on making a bunch of clothes or something?
this exists from the very begging of the game…certain alpha testers took info advantage in forging precursors based on certain weapon combination.
I was “wondering” in a recent post the same, since it is getting more obvious this information “leak”
I’m pretty sure that ArenaNet doesn’t care about this.
We, collectively, may view it as wrong, because IRL insider trading is a crime, as is pumping and dumping, and attempting to corner a commodities market (I’m not arguing this one, so don’t bother arguing with me — look it up instead).
There has been no indication that ANet cares about these other wrongs. Why would they care about this one?
I’ve seen gw2spidy graphs jump and supply bars drop before patch of items that turned out to be used in new recipes. You can check it after any big spike caused by a new use for an item. Note when the news officially broke and check the spidy graph. Supply often gets bought out.
Sorry for the extreme topic title, but it’s becoming more and more evident.
At first, I was too lazy to write this post but after reading comments by a karma food seller in a karma thread I realized just how far insider trading is beginning to go.
This individual had commented on how he knew exactly what the demand for karma food was (as he made it frequently for profit) and how much sold, then suddenly, for no apparent reason, he sold multiples of what he usually does and saw a huge demand spike on the TP. Low and behold, two days later the ‘accidental’ removal of karma boosting happens (mid-August).
My personal story is much more severe…
I was one of the few people who still made The Crossing. I made them very regularly and had become quite familiar with how they fluctuated in price and how frequently they sold. Then, a couple days before this last major patch where they suddenly could not be made anymore (and we had no public warning of) one of my older listings at a much higher price sold… I found this strange as literally THREE MINUTES before there had been seven others listed lower than mine. The Crossing DOES NOT SELL THIS FAST… ever. It is expensive and a true specialty item.
After the patch it became immediately clear to me why this happened. Someone had gotten inside information that it would a) no longer be craftable b) would be blessed with the ability to pick which stats you want on it and, the big one, c) it would not become account bound in the same way other MF stat items would. In other words, you could sell The Crossing on the TP with the ability for people to pick whatever stats they want and with ZERO new supply because it can not be made anymore!!
I guess there’s no question why someone bought up nearly a dozen of them to have an exclusive supply monopoly on them where they could charge practically any price.
Did I mention that I had stumbled into a /say convo in a hidden jumping puzzle where someone mentioned the crossing not being able to be made anymore in the next patch shortly after the TP incident? How did these people get this information!?
I feel this is coming from testing and some people who have been given privileged access to content prior to public patch notes or comments. Many of them play regularly, are in guilds, and have many friends on servers. They can talk to their friends on Mumble where Anet has no clue they may have tipped them off. They may not be in the same guild or anything so tracking the source is even more difficult.
This is a major problem. The affects can be seen in legendary issues, specialty item issues and all other aspects of the market as certain players with access to this information are becoming more and more bold with how they use it to benefit (or give to their friends to benefit).
Please Anet, get your house in order and stop the proliferation of this information. Since you can’t control it, you need to make it public immediately before it hits test servers or preview servers. You must communicate these changes before these people have an opportunity to poison the well. Unfortunately, it is the only solution.

Go ahead and take it. Thank him for the gift then either give it to someone else if you can or delete it.
That’s pretty much the accepted way to handle unwanted gifts.
So, ascended weapons looked cool on paper. But now I feel like I’m being forced into a single build. The amount of grinding and gold it takes to acquire just one ascended weapon is kinda ridiculous. I now have to choose between my Guardian and Necromancer, and which role I want to play from now on. This just sucks. What was anet thinking? When did this game become a grind fest?
Ascended weapon is just bad period. Nobody asked for this. People just wanted to be able to craft their precursor for their legendary.
Guess anet got the wrong memo.
