I play with Rangers, Engineers and Necromancers when they come up in my pugs.
I like to RP all my characters to the point that if someone calls my Charr ugly, I get personally offended. She’s the most beautiful white sparkle princess kitty ever and you need to keep your horrible opinions to yourself.
Yes, I’m a nutter.
Here are my confessions;
I play a D/D elementalist because I like the combat style. Even though I should probably use a staff, I can’t resist charging at Fractal bosses or attempting to duel Mai Trin.
I don’t summon the Fiery Greatsword because I can’t use it properly. I die amusingly horrible deaths after spinning off cliffs. I’m looking at you, Volcanic fractal.
I actually type kitten instead of waiting for the forum filter. It’s affected my actual swearing.
I killed Bandit at the Queensdale champion train to irritate the train once. They didn’t give a kitten, I was disappointed.
I will immediately change direction to save downed people on my minimap. I have to resist the urge to apologise when they die a moment before I arrive.
The true hero of the living story is stoic, strong, and never gives up. He’s supported Rox through all her troubles, so I feel good when I res that guy. Go Frostbite!
I once thought Necromancers were sub par in dungeons too then I had one join my AC all paths run.
He did really well. When the Spider Queen was about to spit venom fields, he managed to time his fear at the right second and ran a good DPS build (dagger/dagger)
The thing with most “bad” classes are the fact they are more difficult to play well not a bad class. Playing a Warrior is decently hard to do poorly, whereas you can play Necromancer poorly pretty easily. Both can provide great help in dungeons though.
Whenever I have nothing to do for thirty or so minutes, I run turret decap engie in hotjoin pvp and only post “lol” in the map chat when they can’t kill me.
i love it when a group fights a champion and they keep on dying, but when i join in with my necro they think i can’t keep up and end up saving them and killing the champ XD
But, but.. you left out the bit where you make them your undead servants
details :P

I think that people who play Humans, in a game with five races, are boring, bland, casual ****s.
I like all the ranger hate in WvW, it keeps me motivated to stay roaming and doing 1v1’s. Great fun when mindless roamers bump into you thinking you will be an easy kill.

Just found out my in-game wife was a g i r l , so I had to cry myself to sleep every night…
Ok, now that I acutually figured out the purpose of this thread, here it goes.
I find the Charr to be dull and mostly furry Klingons. [Although they are adorable when they sleep
]
Try as I might, most of my characters end up looking the same to me.
I tend to prefer a more practical look for Medium armor.[Bulky Armor on a Thief seems like more hinderance than help.]
I often have “Watch the Skies” or “One They Fear” playing in the background when I do Dragon Champion events.
I often find myself twitching a bit when I see silly names.
Sorry about misreading the thread xD

LMAO OP! Excellent stuff.
Once there was a guy who ran past me without rezzing to a chest, and then left. A later found the same guy dead. I rezzed him to 90% and walked away. lol
Every Human Female Thief player got the hairstyle with the flower in the hair and usually with some weird anime colour with underboob black leather armor.
All of them look ridiculous and should get their kitten together.
I save the Quaggan in Frostgorge. And I’m not ashamed.
I love the noises Charr make when they are rolling around on fire.

I find out of maps/bugs/exploits/etc. and report most to A-Net.
I buy outfitters in WvW, just to waste supply.
I say I’ll scout x post, but never actually do it.
I like to look at bunnies, rainbows and unicorns while prancing through a field of sunfowers. (Don’t hate) ;-)
My question is why hate people for a prefered playstyle if it works?
Coming from a primarily PvE player.
[I apparently missed the entire point of the thread since it sounded like ranting in the beginnging, my bad <.<]

Every now and then i enter a path sellers lfg and say they should be ashamed of themselves. Then exit the group.
Every time i see a staff ele i force myself not to vote kick it from a dungeon, instead i grind my teeth and watch it how he/she spams fireballs with no attument switch ever and then die max range from all of us. Then i don’t res him/her the whole run because f you start using dodge and stop checking your facebook.
I do the same from above when a necro is in a group. Or a ranger. Because max range-spamming 1 rocks.
I change my armor’s apperance way to often. Sometimes weekly.
After i flushed 200gold in mystic forge and only got a few pearl exotics i quit playing for 2 months.
I like like world completion it relaxes me.
I strongly resent people who ping precursor drops on world boss event. I’m jelous besause in 2 years of playing the most expensive item that dropped to me is a hammer worth 20 gold.
I like running fractals even tho i know i’m going to get a uninfused ring on lvl 50.
Once i vote kicked afk-er on the phone after being afk for 10 min because i wanted to finish asuran fractal because Mentalist was on in 30 min on tv and i wanted to watch it.
This post is filled with so much fail.
Paragraph 1: Ever actually enter the path to see if the person completed every boss, aka legit solo’d the path? Because when I sell Arah, I complete the path. When I check other parties, I’d say 75% are legit sellers
Paragraph 2: Staff ele camping fire is actually the highest personal DPS build in the game. Usually you bring it when you have a second ele in the group (the other will run scepter for might stacking) or if the ele wants a relaxed playstyle build.
Paragraph 3: Well, I can’t disagree with you here. Though you should actually check to see if the ranger is running Sword/Warhorn or /axe and using frost spirit and spotter, because that’s actually a good build.
And the rest is just things you enjoy doing, minus the mystic forge (your RNG isn’t that bad) and the fractal kicking (patience please.)
Staff fire ele is the highest DPS in game. It is the go to build for additional eles in a party, with one going scepter or dagger focus for might stacks. Just wanted you to know. You should be pleased when you see a staff ele not attunement swapping unless they need to stack swiftness or want to use their earth blast.
Spamming 1 all the time with 3 signets and not moving at all at boss fights? No thanks.
Staff ele on mai trin? Witnessed today it can’t last literally 5 seconds in a fight.
Staff ele is fine on www when you need to control the crowd with stuns and freezes, but it is useless because bosses go right though it on dungeons.
I’m not talking about signet weird builds. But the meta is the meta for a reason.
And all who stood by and did nothing, who are they to criticize the sacrifices of others?
Our blood has bought their lives.

should make it a new profession :p
seriously though, if they didn’t make it too goofy it’d be fun
Considering that the change that led to this problem should not have even come close to being implemented, any fix of it should have happened yesterday as far as expectations go for anyone who cares about this.
If a task is to be done, consider who is available to do it, what is needed to assure its proper functioning, and estimate how long it should take to do this – and factor in more time for contingencies. I cannot believe that the time needed for task completion would be so unfathomable that it couldn’t be estimated within a week (after 2 years of your production of this game). If this is a problem, consider investing some of your income from BL chests into proper manpower and organization.
Even if Anet does not have the resources to fix the problem quickly, not being able to give a seemingly forthright response about when it will be done just puts more salt in the wound.
Nothing personal meant here. The problems are obviously systemic.
What if someone says something is coming “in the next couple of days” or “within the next week” or “by the end of the month” and then testing reveals an issue that delays the implementation?
Then you come on the forums and say:
“Hey guys, testing revealed problems with implementations. The problems that we can tell you about are this, this, and this. We have to now alter our time table because of these problems. Our new deadline is shooting for several days/weeks/whatever from today. We will be sure to keep you guys updated should anything change again.”
Seriously, Gaile, you are like, the most awesome person ever at ANet. But this whole communication thing isn’t rocket science.
Less problems arise with deadlines so long as you actually keep people informed when those deadlines aren’t met, and you keep them informed in a -timely- manner.
Would you rather hear something rather specific, like “in the next couple of days,” even while you know that it could change for reasons outside our control? Or would you rather hear “soon” and not have as solid an expectation
Here’s the thing about “soon”. Because of all the companies that have used “soon” and yet never delivered, “soon” has lost -all- meaning. “Soon” now, in MMO terms, means “probably never going to happen”.
You guys at ANet can’t keep ignoring that “soon” doesn’t mean what you think it means anymore when it comes to the MMO market.
If you use your 5 as a guardian with a great sword, you can actually do some damage to him, for some weird kitten reason, it goes through EVERYTHING and actually does a sizable amount of damage, i finally reached the point to where i just laughed and felt like a raid boss, looking at a feeble player, healing through all of this kitten just passively.
Level 20 Exp scroll, EXP booster, Killspeed booster, Birthday booster = 1-80 in less than 24 hours playtime, if you farm Labyrinth while it’s here.
61 on my new ranger currently, still have 13 hours of time on my birthday booster, and several of those hours used were spent partially AFK or mapping cities. Considering I’ve been getting ~10 levels from 1.5-2 hours of farming, I’ll hit 80 way before the booster comes close to running out.
I really recommend speedleveling alts through Labyrinth if you’re starting one now. It’s a hell of a lot faster than EotM. Leveling the normal way really sucks with everything being level-locked and traits being pretty much inaccessible until 60-80.

Leveling is the worst part of any game, OP. Sadly I doubt it’ll be gone, unless anet goes nuts a lá Blizzard and introduces a $40 package which will boost your character to max level. Imagine the cries of rage and dissent on the forums afterwards…
Use scrolls? You can bypass some of the early leveling ‘lock-outs’ that way.
Personally, I enjoy the new leveling…it’s very, very quick.
So I started a new necro today cause I decided I don’t like the asura race and I found out that I get absolutely no skills but my auto and I have no deathshroud until god knows what level. What I’d like first is an explanation from a dev as to how they find that to be easier to help people level and why an experienced player like myself has to endure all that nonsense when I really just wanted to jump back into my necro’s competitive gameplay.
Next, I would like to make a request that there be a way to make the leveling process less of a bore/ introduction for a player who is, again, already experienced and just wants to jump into high level gameplay instead of grinding levels for all eternity.
I mean, the trait changes were annoying enough but the skill lockout is where I draw the line with tolerance. Anet, why in the name of the eternal alchemy did you find this the least bit necessary? I honestly don’t see how this helps anyone and it makes leveling even more frustrating to the people who already hate leveling after the first character (like myself).
I apologize for the rage but I needed to get the point across somehow. Any explanations anet can give me I’d be happy to listen to and consider next time I want to say something.
I’ve been playing gw2 since almost launch and this has probably been the most frustrating thing I’ve encountered in terms of seasonal item collecting and I bought gem boxes for Foostivoo. ^^;
lol I’m at 11k+ bags with not an endless tonic, Zuzu, or Gwynefyrdd in sight.
I understand that it’s nice to have some rarity and exclusivity and that’s why the drop rate is so low. However, it would be great if we could at least trade others for this mini, especially since it’s not tied to an achievement like beating Liadri or finishing a quest.
:) Please and thank you?
