Once you go Reaper, you’d know it’s a keeper
I think I cried a lil at this :’(

They seem to become less revenant with each update…blablabla….
^ Fixed it for ya.
Don’t worry though, join us thieves in the guild hall tavern. I actually believe Anet designed that place for this particular reason. For classes like Thieves and Warriors who’re made irrelevant with HoT drink their problems away
2 things you have to know about FT #4:
1. On cast, only define the center of the line aoe. While moving and casting it, the line will turn around when appearing so it will be rectangular to yourself.
2. You have a max range. While casting it on max range and run out of range, the fire spawns closer to you than it should. This is a bug tough, mortar shares the same one unfortunately :/

Stand by, things are happening.
Edit: We may have to wait til the morning to fix this. In the meantime, Unranked should not have this problem.

Wedding outfit on my sylvari mesmer.
- doranduck, 2016 on Lore in Raids
I mean I just did a post full of screenshots, not of wedding outfits, but of LS1 loading screens, and am tired of the process of loading them into posts. Two shots, though, I can do two shots. Fem charr, there is a skirt lift over the tail. I’m not fond of the corset-ish top so I’m not using the outfit on my charr.
On sylvari female you get a glow inside the skirt (have to look up under the legs) but it is a constant luminescence as far as I can tell, with the fourth dye channel controlling its color along with 1/2 of the flower trim hue.
I haven’t studied it as much on sylvari male; I think maybe the “cravat” glows a bit or at least is luminous, but again not pulsing with the sylvari’s own glow.
I was gonna ask Tarcis the same thing about thieves coz I struggle against them. For me it’s more like 30/70, lol, but I’ll practice his advice so maybe my chances improve.
Haha all good bud, try to practice what I said and I believe you can do better, and also try to attack on the blinding powder right after they went in stealth on that blinding powder. Best luck for you!
Why is blue more expensive than pink?
Blues tend to be more expensive than pinks generally. Pinks have a narrow niche of uses; blues are more universal. This particular blue goes well in a lot of situations.
Does electro blue have the glowing effect of that one craftable armor (from mordred bosses, forgot the name of the place, sorry I don’t pve much)
Luminescent armor? No. Although it does have some similarities in tone.
I’m kinda leaning towards pink but I already have hot pink and cotton candy.
If you have to choose one or the other, I think you’ll be happier with blue.
Hmm, what about electro green or peach.
I like the green. The peach is, like the pink, good for a narrow set of uses. Among the four you mention, I prefer blue → green → pink → peach. Your mileage might vary.
Happy (character) birthday!
Wasnt my personally best match, but definitely cool to watch.
Fire grab is no doubt one of the hardest skills in the game to land on a moving target, all I can really say is practice definitely helps. Updraft > burning speed > fire grab is super predictable, so generally you should only use it if you know your enemy is out of stun-breaks, but if they are, you can land it easily. Or you can just pansy out and use it for cleaving downed bodies and anyone attempting to res, since they don’t move easy targets.
As for churning earth my advice is just never to use it aside from pre-stacking might before a fight. PVE calculations have shown you get more dps out of a fire rotation or even just spamming lightning whip. That makes it not worth using even before you consider the massive risk of being rooted for 3 seconds with all of your damage easily capable of being nulified with a single dodge/blind/block/interupt/etc. The skill is just high risk low reward.

Here’s my Charrdian. Since he’s heavy, this look would also work for a Charrior.
I use:
glowing crimson mask (gemstore)
fanatic’s mantle (starter shoulders)
nightmare court breastplate (twilight arbor chest)
primeval gauntlets (gemstore)
legion tassets (charr cultural armor)
primeval boots (gemstore)
Dyes I use are:
shadow abyss
strawberry
mischief
quickstalk (changed it to blood dye, recently)
weapons I use:
Bloody prince staff
shadow greatsword
Good luck with the look you’re going for!
I remember a couple of months ago I went on a Charr-toon-making spree. It was very colorful… except I found myself using the SAME, STALE armor pieces because nothing else looks good on Charrs or it has awkward clipping issues.
Here’s some of my own heavy-armor Charrs if you need inspiration (they are kinda edgy looking and probably aren’t too happy with being screenied but oh well)…
And here’s the armor pieces/dyes used
Also, the whole Primeval set looks phenomenal on Charr, for some reason.
Mine, mix and match:
Cultural T1 shoulders and boots, Splint legs, scallywag chestpiece and barbarian gloves.
Pd: Please, give us back the charr subforum, i dont want to stick with salads and humans.
There will be no peace!.
I reaaally like T3 heavy cultural for charr, but so far haven’t had a use for it. I will eventually make a male charr revenant or guardian to use it on. I love the mix of plate, cloth (and cloth wraps) along with those stylised lion heads and spikes. Not a fan of the headpiece, but overall I think it’s the best looking heavy armour for charrs.
Here’s my female charr warrior in Arah dungeon armour. I dyed it to match the shadow weapons I have equipped on her- so mainly purple, black and a kind of light-brown colour.

Don’t focus on building might over landing your skills though. I see many eles do that and get 20+ might but do no damage lol. Other than that, you can check out phantarm’s video for d/d rotations
- Primordial Legend
Semi-active.
If you play D/D or D/F the trick to “offensive rotations” is to build might as efficently as possible, which means maximizing fire field blasts and leaps to get tons of might and fire auras (which can be traited to give more might). So that means fire field, earth, blast by rolling/magnetic leap, 4 skill, water for frozen burst.
Other than that use air autos a lot, don’t sit in water/earth too long, and use drake’s breath/burning speed as much as you can.
Taking a break from GW2 to play various
Nintendo games..
The best rotation is to not have a rotation that’s focused on one thing. Fight accordingly to the situation is the secret. Just a small example. See a thief about to stealth from pistol 5? Walk up and pop shocking aura and then use burning speed + lighting flash on the point where he heartseekers and hits you because he’ll 100% be stunned on the spot there while stealthed.
Blinded? Use burning speed on someone who thinks you’re blinded and just before it lands, swap to water to cleanse it and to grab the fury. Small things like that you have to think about and you’ll be fine.

PVP and rotations mates not good. In this respect, a spec with Fresh Air is still realtiv the best, though not optimal. PVP live by direct reaction to surprising situations. That can Ele not. The class was rather not designed in terms of PVP. ^^
Everything from a solo perspective, in Premades can Ele be very strong.

This was my rotation pre-patch:

I am still working on what it is post-patch myself.
80 Necromancer (IRNY), 80 Guardian (IRNY)
GW2: it’s like DAoC, but for the WoW crowd.
Well I think the rotation you mentioned is still good… F->E->W->L->F etc etc because a good rotation like this one let’s you stack so much might.
But like people above said, you also need to react to your opponents.
So basically I follow that rotation when im allowed to do so and I can freely dps someone, and instead switch to what Attunement is actually needed depending on the situation when Im under focus and or I need that specific skill to CC someone or whatever.
(edited by atreyu.9624)
I find d/f extremly effective post. I run water/arcana/air. You can do slot of damage with the Lightning bolt on CC trait, and just basic rotations. Running celestial, you get very decent burn damage. It’s woerd…I just kind of happen to kill things while maintaining fantastic control.
While not a rotation, I have been playing s/d cele ele with air/water/arcana
Taking water cooldown reductio (CDR) is SOOOO unreasonably strong with this build: 4.5K heal and 2 condis cleared every water swap (basically) plus frost aura (skill) every 27s, and cleansing wave every 27s.
In air I take fresh air and fresh air, air training, and one with air to get good burst, excellent map mobility (hello 27s RtL and high super-speed uptime), and more frequent updrafts.
If you don’t react to your opponents in PVP you’re gonna have a bad time.
I play Staff Bunker. Generally start out of combat with Air or Fire. Swap to Water when get Low. Reswap to Earth for Stability → Ether Renewal. Cycle back to Air or Fire. Repeat.
because every good players are already in a team and the hardcore player base is pretty small.
i would have trouble finding any good player for almost all classes if i want to create a ESL level team now.
My point was that I’ve been looking for engis for about half a year now and there’s so few of them compared to things like warriors and eles. It’s not even about top level engis, just engis that know how to rotate, how to cleave, how to communicate.
Because you are not looking for mechanically skilled players (to some extent), but great conquest players. There are many many people who maybe good at 1v1s, 2v2s, and 3v3s, but very few players who understand how conquest works in current cele team fight meta. On top of already few people that understands conquest, now you want people who are mechanically great as well. Those people are already picked up onto ESL teams, moved on from GW2 due to many reasons, or unnoticed because they are doing what they are suppose to do to win games, which is more subtle than people think.
Also there is no reason for people to try hard in pvp because there is nothing to prove. The good and great players already know each other, top teams are already saturated with drama and great players, and there is very little support for low-mid tier players like myself to be better because matchmaking weighs people down. You either get into a pvp guild (idk about any in NA) to train, hopefully find ESL level players to train you, or just queue ranked/unranked over and over until you can’t take it anymore.
Jungle (I think) spider in place of brown dog is pretty great. White owl is also very potent in 1v1s. Always run the wolf, though.
