The Oasis heart is bugged out for me for days now! My skill bar does not load any items retrieved and I can’t complete the heart unless someone who rarely comes by spawns a spider to kill…
This has been bugged for awhile now and it’s the last heart I need to complete the map!

Impossible to complete LA Exterminator achievo solo as an engineer since the karka rifle is lost when entering water (need to traverse waterways to access some of the karkas). It will auto swap to harpoon gun.

As a Black Norn, I’m not sure how I feel about suddenly becoming a white guy in my portrait… Is vitiligo a thing in Tyria?

Please fix Healing Spring or ‘Trap’ with Runes of Trapper

1) Healing spring is a Trap now, so Rune of Trapper should give you 3 sec of stealth when you use this skill. But it doesnt.

2) In final (23 june) realease notes it is said:
“Hidden Barbs: Bleeding you cause deals 33% more damage.”
But INGAME it is 20%.

Can devs please help rangers on theses problems? I would love to fully test my ranger..but can’ t with this bugs

So doing the karka hunt in LA, Engi loses the special rifle as soon as you go underwater and you never get it back. it goes back to your regular weapon when you resurface.

Even tried unequipping all weapons both underwater and normal and it still happens, making this hunt impossible to complete

Personally speaking, I don’t think ANet could forsee a thunderstorm if they were standing in the middle of it.

There’s no way for us to know who has or hasn’t spent money in the gem store beyond personal admission, but yeah, I suspect there may be a bit of that going on.

People are being called entitled just for asking for 1 character slot so they can play the new profession from the expansion they are paying $50 dollars on without having to delete an old character or paying $10 more on the gem store.

But after being told that a game needs incovenient mechanics just for the sake of not being too convenient I just got tired of arguing.

What kittenes me off the most is people who haven’t spent a dime on the gem store calling veterans who have spent hundreds/thousands of dollars “entitled” and saying they shouldn’t complain because the game is free.

Hot should be no more than a $35 entry fee for existing players. From there we can choose to buy an additional character slot from the gem store at any time. Having additional bundles with extra’s is fine. It’s the $50 flat entry fee that’s the problem for me as it’s basically full game pricing.

actually yes, if they would give people that already got the base game gems and a character slot along with the expansion then that would be fine for me so i dont feel like anet doesnt appreciate me as a veteran player..(which this feels like atm)

So, Purchasing Hot now gives you standard edition fee? does that mean i can have the 5 character slots from the other unwanted GW2 account added to my main account (Seems only fair after nearly 10 years of playing this franchise – Gw1+Gw2, and for the rest of those who join used for Gw2 and have committed years of their lives to the product.)

There just needs to be more options available. Having options won’t detract from this. The current 3 packages are fine and encourages new players into the game. However, all of these issues could have been avoided if there were options available for those that already own the core game and want only the expansion.

The price has some flexibility, but overall, more options are better. For the consumers, the fans, and the people at ArenaNet, the extra time and effort to add these additional options would be well worth it.

I redeemed the HoT code on my current account. There are no separate codes, it appears if you redeem the code on your existing account you do not get another “free” copy of the base game.

This is highly misleading, unless someone from ANet wishes to explain to me how to start another account from a code that has already been redeemed.

If not, and I suspect as such, then that’s BS. The news and order pages should be updated to state that you do not get a free copy of the base game if you activate HoT on a pre-existing account. It means that veteran players are indeed getting screwed; those of us that have an account already will pay whatever we paid for the game originally ($60 in my case) plus $50 for the expansion and no additional account. That brings my total up to $110.

New players get both the base game and the expansion for $50. Wow.

That’s really all I have to say about that.

Depreciation my son, depreciation. This is ANET confirming that the BASE game is worthless now.

And ya, this was misleading, I’m glad I asked and looked around here before deciding to make a purchase or not. They need to reword it or put some kind of disclaimer because right now its just simply, false advertising and fraud.

Also Nightfall, you were given 2 character slots if you already owned any other campaign. It shows how Arenanet handled these things in the past vs. now.

lol, this is so funny… I’m glad that I don’t feel any hype for this game anymore. I want to play it for sure…but there are plenty of games I can play instead of this one :-*

What ArenaNet says: The expansion costs $50 and we are adding in the core game for FREE.

What is actually happening: The expansion costs $25 but we have to pay an extra $25 on the core game which we already own.

When you look at and compare what both core game and HoT offer in terms of content, character options and gameplay mechanics, I estimate HoT would be somewhere about a third of the size.

HoT for $50: Not buying, which means Anet/NCSoft get nothing.
HoT for $25: Will buy, which means Anet/NCSoft get $25.

$25 is more than $0.

Read my post above. It appears it’s even worse: the expansion is $50, no matter what. You don’t get an extra copy of the base game. Whatever you paid already for the game, you’re going to eat that cost, the expansion is $50, and that’s that.

While the addon price may or may not be justified, no one knows about the actual content amount of the package, the price tag is surprising.

Also failure to include character slot for existing customers with the base addon edition could be considered a total failure for your department that set up the various editions’ content details. If you had included a char slot and some useless virtual gimmick for upgrading customers everything would have been well.
Yet this base edition feels utterly lacking and like a major mistreat of loyal customers. It gives me the same vibes as when looking at the online-store of that other game that shares the initials of your expansion HotS.

If your pre-order offer scheme would have left me in good faith I might just happily have grabbed the big 100$$$ package and be content. Yet looking at it now I feel like someone is trying to push me into a cheap cash grab, very very bad PR/pricing/product move. So looking at the various editions, no matter which one I’d choose I’d not feel like getting something cool extra, but just like being kittened over one or the other way.

The way you have designed the expansion editions just made me rethink entirely about whether I should buy stuff form you gem store again. In the past I always did this because I felt like dealing with a fair merchant and at least most items felt like fun enough for supporting the game dev this way. Seeing that even at 50$ the base upgrade does not include what an upgrading player would need to properly play the content (character slot) I feel like dealing with a merchant that simply tries to play game addiction and impulse buying to max profit, which puts your offers on par with the bad taste of mobile-rip-off-pay2wins or EA’s/Ubi’s 60$ game + 60$ DLC for full game foul schemes.

Congratulations on ruining your so far rather good standing as an ingame shop based game developer.

Today was a very sad day for me as a long time arenanet/gw fanboy.

Not interested in character slot. I have eight of them, and two are useless already. I’ve suggested it before, I’ll point it out here too – I’d rather take that in gems so I can pick myself where to use the bonus.

I think you’re missing something important here: you’re complaining about having a useless base game bundled as the only option – but an extra character slot can be equally useless for many players, like myself.

I totally agree as I got nine full character slots , six 80es and three 60es.
I have been playing since GW1 and I’m proud of that. Adding 800 gems to the standard version ( we can decide whether to buy a character slot or something else ) will calm all of us down so we would pay 50$ instead of 60$
