Sanctum Sprint - the not so fun activity

It’s been months and months and months that I cannot enjoy anymore what used to be one of my most favorite activities: Mario K… err, Sanctum Sprint which happens to be once again today’s activity for the daily achievements.

Will you ever got those buggy skills, mainly the targeted and un-targeted versions of Lightning Pull, work correctly on medium-to-high ping (375-650ms) and bad latency connections?

I do not mind loosing when I make a mistake or someone uses a 6-9 skill on me, but it’s very very unnerving when you are in the lead and… and you are suddenly unable to continue forward because you need to cross a chasm and the un-targeted version of Lightning Pull make you land 3 meters away behind the receiving pyramid and your character keeps rolling until he falls down from the platform… When using the un-targeted version of the skill I expect to fall exactly on the pyramid not 3 meters away from it… and I certainly does not expect my character to continue moving with some kind of momentum.

The targeted version of the skill is no much better because 1) you need to find a place where it will activate instead of the un-targeted one and 2) it usually jumps too short even if the AoE indicator was green making you miss the platform and fall to your death as well.

In the mean time and without any skill 0 (teleport to next point) I am forced to keep trying to jump (and die subsequently) while others player keep moving and reach the end of the race. Usually the race time expires with me never ever reaching the finishing line unless I get lucky and find one of those teleport skill…

It’s not fun anymore

Kind of have to agree with this, forcing players to fail events in order to progress seems ridiculous.

Some must fight so that all may be free.

It was never meant to make legendaries cheaper anyway. Don’t know what gave everyone that impression. They’re still legendaries, meant to be a highly sought after long-term goal that’s difficult to achieve, and quite frankly they’re already common enough as it is, any cheaper and literally everyone would have one. It was simply meant to give players a “quest” to work towards their legendary rather than just mystic forging thousands of weapons and praying for the best.

And the precursors for the new legendaries aren’t going to drop at all, so even if you’d argue they’re “pointless” for old ones because its just as cheap to buy the precursor, they have a definite purpose for the new ones.

Why would they nerf it? It’s mostly blues and greens with the odd rare and dragonite ore.

I’m sick of everyone asking for things to be nerfed. Things need to be BUFFED. Loot on the whole is very poor. Nerf burning, nerf Celestial Ele, nerf DD ele, nerf PS Warrior, Nerf WHAO Ranger,

I just want Anet to talk to use like living breathing intelligent human beings.

We may not like the reasons why they made this change but at the very least it would give more understanding on some level.

If you fall and go flat without dieing the super boom box usually gets jammed into your skull and keeps playing. Happens to one of your guys every guild mission, it is awesome

I’m not blind, but its really hard to see some animations on smaller bosses when trying to skillfully dodge attacks, especially when he is smothered in fire, light, fire, torment, fire, did I mention fire? Oh and guardians fire is the worst offender.

Please stop hating my eyes anet. (and fingers, but that’s another battle to be fought)

Should take a look at videos of the new borderland maps, they feature towers and keeps with much better defensive designs.

Couple of things anet talked about:

1. “Boxes” of walls around gates to allow defenders to shoot at attackers hitting gates from all angles

2. Floating platforms around/above accessable via teleports inside the keep to hit attackers with

3. more natural chokepoints ie: long bridge leading to the keep door

That and the new shield generator seige blueprint should make fighting to take structures (when defended) more interesting then they are now.

Bumping this, as this bug is extremely annoying to me, as I am very particular when it comes to dyeing my armor, and it’s a huge waste of time dealing with this bug, and thus, detrimental to my gameplay.

I have noticed this bug for several months. The bug is when you go to preview/change your dye and a single dye takes over that armor. The bug doesn’t go away until you zone to a different map. Once in the different map, if you try to preview/change the dyes, the bug will kick in again.

This has happened to multiple characters in all the different game modes.

The first screenshot is how the chest piece should look. And the second is the bug making the chest piece look like a different dye is active.

It could be a client-server communication issue.

Yes, that could explain the symptoms:

  • OP’s computer thinks foe is in location X, reports a hit at that location; foe dies.
  • Server thinks foe is in location Y, reports a miss.
  • Client talks to Server and realizes, “oops, better fix that” and reports (correctly) that the foe is still alive.

Not sure if it’s just my server (TC) but it is currently impossible to complete this puzzle. You can’t damage any of the lights and the input console will not show up because of this. Is anyone else having this issue? Would love to get the achieve for this or does there need to be a server reset?
