considering that only the dungeons are group content, the ocassional DE tagged as group content, and the end game quest which is pretty much doing a dungeon, are group content.

that siad gw2 has remarkable less group content (and/or) forced group content than most mmos out there

i havent read all, but as a guardian with the passive trait and the signet of resolve, all i can say that for me, the way it works is like this:

every 10 seconds two conditions will be removed, this interval is static, meaning i get two conditions removed after i zoned in 10 seconds, and then after that 10 seconds again, as example, in seconds
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10=2 conditions removed,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20 = 2 conditions removed.

i say this because sometimes the conditiosn come off as soon as they get applied, and on other cases they stick with me for a while before it dissappears without having had had a condition previously applied to me
thus meaning if i use the healing signet (and lets say that for these purposes the signet of resolve cooldown is 10 seconds too) 1,2,3,4,5 (heal signet used), 6,7,8,9,10 (trait, one condition removed), 11,12,13,14, 15 (signet is recharged), 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 (passive trait removal of 1 condition), 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 (signet condition removal), 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 (trait)

and so on, at least for me THIS is how it feels it is, i have not made an empirical research, nor i really have a need for, as i know the conditions will be removed eventually.
also because im lazy to keep it tracked, lol

some how the forum ate my after @kita hwere i wanted to mentioned what you did Major, that you had not traited your self to be useful to your elite, but rather your elite was useful to how you where traited, for example, i was traited for virtues long before using renewed focus, which meant i could:
do a minor heal + regen+ remove up to 3 conditions
help avoid an attack +protection
help deal a bit of damage +might

and this i had long before using renewed focus, now that i used renewed focus, that elite does a very nice complemention of MY build, of MY playstyle, as i can remove up to six conditions with it, as well as heal nicely (i estiamte the heal from the virtue burning is like roughtly 10% of a chars hp, bu tthats just gut feeling)

Am I allowed to Auction off a reserved name for ingame currency?

i used to use the tomes thinking they where the only good stuff, until teammates would get downed and i couldnt rez them during the time of the tome (wut?)

then i read people praising renewed focus as being godly, again i go wut?

then i tried it, at first i didnt like it, it was “just” 3 seconds of invulnerability
but then i began to burn my virtues more often, and then i received the light

renewed focus is godly
but only if you are actively using your virtues.
what Major siad is not traiting the elite, he is pretty much traiting the virtues, it is the virtrues trait line that give your basic virtues the add ones (might, regen and protection) a second different trait line that gives blind when using the justice virtue, and back again in the virtue trait line, another trait that makes using your heal virtue able to remove 3 conditions, not only from you but also from allies

that paired with renewed focus makes it a very nice elite to have, and he (nor am i) isnt traited “for his elite”, but rather for his utilities, and this elite, matches with the utilities very, very nicely.

if you are however, a spirit weapon guardian, then renewed focus isnt so much for you then as spirits arent affected by the virtues (i think)

the only games that has “allowed” this that i remember from the top of my head has been the dnd Neverwinter Nights and most likely Neverwinter Nights 2, where all classes could wear most armors with a few rule exceptions, but usually it would come at a cost.

you are an caster wearing heavy armor? you get a chance for your spells to fail, the more heavy armor pieces you had, the more likely your spell would fail
in another game, i dont remember wich, that had mana, if you wore heavy armor (ah i remember now, lineage 2) as a caster, you spells would cost twice as much to cast and your mana regeneration would be severely hampered.

now, what price will the casters in heavy armor pay here? mobility?casting failure? i can imagine the outcry of people if such things where in there, “why i must be punished?” “why cant i play how i want?”
what advantage would have soldier classes wearing leather or cloth armor? faster endurance to dodge more often? magic resistance?
and what would be the adventurers advantage to wear cloth? and the penalty to wear heavy armor?

as far as im aware, Anet doesnt have “intrinsecally punishing” gear aside of it making relatively little sense, most casters train their minds to be able to cast spells, thus they sacrifice their physical stats, thus they cant really wear heavy armor or not have any casting penalty.

lore/fluff aside

i imagine its easier to balance the gear and the professions when each has their own gear, as i have to admit i was surprised that the soldier professions cant wear medium and light armor, but tbh, it doesnt rob me any sleep

it happens, sometimes i have had it in my guardian, all tank specced, if i get the attention and dont move around, dont use my skills, dont dodge out, i will go down.

if he is specced for damage and “tankiness”, he knows he will get the attention of the mob, so what to do? dodge out, roll out, wait for skills to cooldown and go in and attack then out, swap to ranged weapons, if he keeps himself away from the mobs, they will eventually lose interest in him (speaking of dungeons with mobs with lots of hp) and then ago after the other players.

alternatively he can just stop dealing damage and let the teammembers do their share of damage as well, fi he is being chased, his teammates should be using cc to help him survive/stay out of boss range.

other option, he should start experimenting/taking anectodal/gut feelings of how much damage means how much aggro, if unleashing all his skills one time each means that the mob will chase him for straight out 10 seconds, he can play it so he knows how much time he can have the mob on him and then start dodging/stopping damage dealing till he loses aggro, recovers up then goes at it again.

alternative fluff choice:
be happy, you are being considered the singlest, greatest threat in your group and the ai is smart enough to realize it and put you as priority to take down, as the primary source of success for your group comes from you (but dont let it get to your head, go ahead and try to solo, im sure you’d get owned (in dungeons im talking about))

more like, in the end, people are forced to take care of themselves primarily and keep an eye on the mobs and what they do and where they go and not rely on others (mainly one person, aka tank) so heavily that the only thing they do is sit and spam damage skills

if you are inside a dungeon, it gives you about 2 to 3 hours before it kicks you
if you are outside of a dungeon, ie the world, you get about 3 to 5 minutes before it kicks you out

guess what kicks in when you get moved from dungeon to outside world

calm down guys, yes they decided the server transfers during hte WvW were that much of a bothersome that they are implementing this before they get guesting ready.
does it suck that you cant play with friends across the servers? yeah it sucks

but its not like Anet is going back on its word of not ever implementing it, just bear with it, i am pretty sure it will be coming soon, at the very least i expect it before december or with wintersday update.

it may seem easy to notice some plotholes, but once you release your game/story, im pretty sure someone will find plotholes to some pointers, aditionally, when you try to make an expansion or content some may contradict itself, though this may be something someone else finds on the way.
also remember it is YOUR story what you are doing, and thus you can fill easier since you know where you want it to go, at the same time, it is not a released story, anet are working on an established story, which means they cant just change on the fly once its released, i can imagine there’d be an uproar of they went as much as changed talon’s clan name or so.

personally i think im reaching my limit for this discussion, as much interesting as it has been i may be dropping from discussion after this post as i odnt think i can really bring in anything new(er?) to the discussion

you should really make the question about the centaurs in the lore subforum here, you’ll get a better answer then than here, the situation about the centaurs was i think, either explained in one of the books or somewhere in a wiki, like in rl, if you want to get to the deepest truth of a situation, you need to search it beyond what is simply shown to you (history books), you have to do it yourself (aka ask in the lore forum)

about the animals, they need to state what kind of animals they are so it makes some sense in context, just like you say “why do they need to put they are dehydrated animals?”, if they didnt, one would ask “why is this random bear attacking this water carrier?” in which both questions are valid and fair, but the only one closer to the context is the dehydrated bear (as well as the hungry bear)

and about the fireflies and sylvari, i’ve said all i could think about it, in the end, it may be a “cultural thing” of the sylvari, and something that depends and is about them, so in the end, as they have the “everything has a right to grow”; they also have “act with wisdom, but act”, so if they are doing that, they must have some back up idea, as a nanture creature (plants themselves), i find it very hard to think they would make things that would endanger the forest, and for them killing the fireflies is just like collecting peebles, since the fireflies wouldnt be extinguished. in the end all i can really say is, trust in the sylvari.

and about the skritt,
yes its not stated in game so i am just using either
a) my own common sense
or
b) my own imagination
as i dont have the need for anet to spell out every detail of why things happen, if there is a “plothole” somewhere, i patch it up myself (which may be good/bad, but thats personal opinion) or if it really bothers me, i seek it elsewhere(aka wiki)
but again, every one has their own ways to deal with this.

in regards to the tengu, i may be forgetful, but wherent all the tengu in gw 1 bad and it wasnt until the expansion of factions that the first friendly tengus where shown/explained?

what you want, is something that is limited by the game and technology mechanics, your problem is that, like you said "anet said that the “mobs” wouldnt be just standing there, that they would actually be doign something, alive"

keyword here, alive, meaning you want a world that is responseive, where things happen, which is something like the elder scrolls give, you want to see the skritt stealing, you want to see the centaurs killing someone and then running away to their camp so you have a reason to kill them, and while anet has delivered some of these (for example some of the risen mobs in orr are mining, as are some dredge doing, some thiefs are “operating” giant turrets), it is very hard to do something like this on a huge scale, what you would like (im guessing), is something like an elder scroll game( lessay skyrim) and it being an open, multiplayer world

is it bad that you want it? not really, i would love to have such a game too, i love these kind of games too, but here unfortunately game limitations prevent this, and this is osmething that no mmo can solve currently, but maybe in 20 or 30 years the next gen of mmos can make a nice, believable living world where things make more sense, but currently what we have with gw2 is as close as it can get to the world “being alive” in an mmo setting, or as close to a single player world setting

if you are carrying food, the most dangerous animal will be a hungry animal, because a hungry animal wants food, sees you have food (or sees you as food), and thus he will attack you
likewise for thirst, if an animal that is thirsty sees water that is in a relatively easier to reach place (ie walking towards them), they’ll most likely attack or go to this water.
of course here lies a game inconsistency in respects to the real world, the water lake is like 5 feet away in the first two waves, and most animals would avoid that and go to the lake, but that would make a less exciting “adventure” for gamers than what they do now.

“but why is one clan of Skritt bad and then next isn’t”
becuase while they are separated into clans, they dont really have a “clan name”, the skritt city, i dont know if they have a clan name, and if they do, whats it, but simply skritt are in game separated by skritt sectors, you may find a nice one here, and then 10 steps ahead a bad one, but sometimes somethings are hard to keep track of, can also be because remember, the more skritt that are together, the smarter they get, the skritt city that is friendly is the largest skrit city ever, so it could be that if there are, lessay random number, a thousand skritt in the city, they are smart enough to not attack everyhting that moves and trade in diplomacy, but if there is a group of lets say, 300 skritts, they are only smart enough to band together and build a city, but that attacking passersby is “good” (even if they get them killed), and thus to become friendly they’d need to reach over to a thousand skritts, but while reaching that ammount of skritts is also very dangerous because the mroe they are, the more dangerous they become too.

yes, the difference lies therein, the charr where open to listen to diplomacy, whereas the centaur arent, here you would need someone with a more game lore buff than me, because i am kind of limited in it, but as far as i know, there was an intention to make a peace talks with them but the centaurs wanted none of it, however, they DO have a “peace treaty” with lions arch, where they leave each other in peace, however some lionguards report that some of their caravans have been hit by centaurs, meaning the peace is just superficial with LA, and that they do have a deep hatred towards kryta, if i remember right, the thread about this hinted that the moment kryta falls, the centaurs will then go on war with LA, but that they cannot hold a two front wars and thus, they have “peace” with LA.

“but the Fireflies that you kill in that dynamic event aren’t threatening anything”
while i agree this isnt…heroic or so, one has to take into consideration bio…something here, that a game cant reproduce really, if we look at it as it would be, the fireflies would pretty much be a “pest”, like rats, as they would reproduce very fast, since in game they spawn endlessly, there is no danger on them going extinct, if it where rl however, i think the sylvari would be wise enough to either set a farm like for them if they dont reproduce as fast, or the event would only happen or be needed once every so often (in months time frame) wich should be enough for insect class creatures to mass reproduce (mosquitos anyone?), of course im no biology expert here and some things may be off.

the grawl one may be much more complicated than what it seems, in both sides of the discussion really, specially when religion here has been proved to exist:
humans worship the six gods, which have been seen, which their avatars have been met (gw1) and it was who’ms intervention gave the humans the magic and power that led them to be the the power that they where in GW1, charr however, have decided to rely on their own strenght and powers, whereas the norn worship nature spirits and actually can turn into animals.
so where do the grawl lie? they woship false gods that are actually demons? try “convincing” them that they are false gods, i am pretty sure you had to fight and kill some of the grawls before they would see the “truth”, which is subjective, the grawls that died, died defending their truth and belief, their god was real and htey died for him, same as it is for humanity in rl, trying to convince someone that their god is “false” will lead to…a catastrophe, to say the least.
so its not so easy to deal with this i agree

you need to see the DE start, they open a portal, and then demons come out from it, i’ve not seen the DE in action, but ive seen the grawl shamans and the portal up, so yes they do something dangerous.

just because you cant see the event starting or them summoning the portal, doesnt mean it doesnt happen,

did you talk to the heart npcs? while you dont need to talk to them to get the quest started, talking to them gives you the background for it, for example, for the skritt ones of knocking their shiny altars, there is also a DE that happens outside where the skritt are stealing the logging axes of the village, which is a woodcutting village, by stealing their axes, they’re stealing the villages income and thus their way of life.

in regards for example the dehydrated animals in that DE, the ogres are carrying the water to their own village, so if they get attacked (and killed) by the dehydrated animals, what happens for the ogres village? theyll also die of thirst if they dont get this water (dont know the background of this DE so double checking the why they go get the water would work well, how you find out? stick around till the DE starts again)

in respects to the hungry bears and the honey, if i remember right that is the bears attacking a honey bee farmer…thingy guy…, which is his way of life, meaning how he gets his income and how he feeds himself and his family (if he has any)

the why’s are there, they simply are not laid out just plainly, have to find them out of your way.

the why we slaughter the centaurs, its because its a long time set battle, in which the centaurs are hellbent in destroying the krytan government/city due to how they think the krytans have taken from them territories/or just plain hatred, i think there was a thread in the lore subforum where it said that they didnt even knew why they where fighting since the war started 250 years ago and they are just “fighting, because”

the “religion” of the grawl, they dont have a religion tbh, there is a norn DE where you destroy a “god” of the grawl, which is a ice elemental, then you gather ice cubes, and then the norn establishes a “norn ice figure” of big size, and when the grawl see it they all go “oooh look, shiny figure, it must be sacred, it must be holy, we must worship it”

you guys do read descriptions of the gravelings, and that there is a specific graveling (sadly wiki doesnt have them all listed), that has a specific skill/attribute that makes him dodge attacks

right?

because i’ve ran AC with my guild plenty of times to know the only times i missed against a graveling was against this “special” type of gravelings, but all others where just fine, and i meleed all the way there

i would only go to low level areas to farm for lower materials if i needed to craft something of low level.

but aside of that? not really, it would get boring since i could never die, and being either tank or poweleveler of a friend(s) would become a drag rather quickly, so no, i am thankful that i am downscaled to a challenging, but still superior level above the area foes, and that i can still progress (helped a friend level up two chars, i was like 15 levels ahead when she settled on one, helped my gf level up 5 or 6 chars from 1 to 15, i still gained a level per char of her)

agreed, to me this mechanic is still fairly new (to me), the only other game i played before that had something close to this was city of heroes/villains, which had it both ways, upscaling and downscaling, though upscaling was fairly useless as the player that was upscaled had a major lacking of enhancements and powers, downscaling was much more effective.

i know about it, i made one char, i died at lvl 12, never tried again, it was defnitively not fun for me, and here in these few months since the came out my main has died 272 times, and im not a bad player, but sometimes it just happens.

i really wish you teh best with this but i highly doubt you’ll have fun here, specially when other players have a high influence in your live or die situations.

have you tried diablo 3?

no, you arent being penalized, when you are downscaled to 5, its because you are on an area where most foes are lvl 4, this here is not penalizing, you are lvl 5, a level above the foes in this area, and further ahead this difference will be bigger and better (for you as a player) as you start getting to gear over the area, when you are lvl 30, with lvl 30 armor, a lvl 20 downscaled area will seem much more easier than lvl 20 with lvl 20 gear.

you also just started playing the game, and we ALL went through this, i also died many times over this when i was getting started, it has now become something relatively normal, and its not penalizing to go from 7 to 5 as i still keep some minor bonuses over the lvl 4 foes, as you level up higher, these bonuses will get better (slightly)

cant really help other than syaing “get better”, though your game record seems to point you already are a better player, it is very hard, if not impossible, to not die at least once here, if you intend to keep playing wiht self inflicted permadeath rules:

1.- never take on more than 2 foes at a time
2.- never fight agianst a champion boss
3.- becareful when figthing veterans
4.- dont enter dungeons, neither explorable nor story modes
5.- stay clear of orr
6- keep your armor up to date.

its not that its intended for you to “die cheaply”; its just that the game was meant to be as much action as possible as it could allow, meaning you have to dodge, and at some point you are to die, if you are soloing, getting downed will most likely also mean that you will die.

now why would you play at permadeath self rule beats me, but if thats your wish to play, go ahead and keep playing like that, but personally i have to say, you will not find it enjoyable here.

actually that is the inteded area level range, where “most” would be around lvl 4, downscaling gets to you to level area + 1, the thing is that one can go from multiple ranges in a same zone, in queensdale for example, you can be lvl 5 in one area, lvl 3 in another, and lvl 7 in a different, all in the same adventuring area

dont know if you are into anime, but what you are looking for is “Sword Art Online”, (or close enough) an anime about virtual reality world mmos, wich will be when we get this which you are desiring (and i can assure you we would all like to have this heroic-ness feeling), but for the time being we do what we can with what we have, maybe in about 10 years we get closer to this.

as much as heroic as that is, it is not what GW2 was made for, what you are looking is something more akin to Dishonored, Assasin’s creed and the like, because, as much as fun as what you say is, you forget to multiply that for the number of players that there are, or take into account pvp balance.

1.- how would that work if there is a second bow user? and a third? and a full group?
2.- what happens when there are more than one player around? it may work for dungeons, but what about the open world where there are around 50 or so players? too weak mobs will make it be unchallenging
3.- thats not possible with the current mechanics
4.- no comment
5.- pvp thieves already do that, lol, pve would become so much easier
6.-as much as fun as that can be, it would also leave me a “wtf, thats it?”

im not saying these are not fun things, but, games still dont work like that, much less MMOs, but single player games do work out to some extent like that, specially the newer ones, so you may want to try those instead.

i leveled up (much to my friend’s dismay and despair) with lvl 45 GREENS up to about lvl 78, i never used dropped armors (i wanted to craft my own armor, but never got enough cotton scraps to continue so i failed behind that), and i only upgraded weapon’s through drops or quests.

eventually at lvl 78 in around orr, the enemies where hitting me too hard, and i was going down more often than i did, even though my friend was even mailing me pieces of better armor, i wanted to be “proud” of self crafted wearing armor like in other games, eventually after much despair, suffering and tears from her, i finally blew up 5 gold or so to update my armor with crafted armor, it then became a breeze again

why do i play mmos if i dont want to group?

easy

because mmos give me a playstyle/game that is usually not available to normal single players.

tell me what single player rpg can give me the guardian’s playstyle?

i played kingdoms of amalur, while it was nice, ic ould not get to finish to the story because, it just didnt held me.
skyrim? same thing, played it a bit, got a few mods to add soem spicyness and flavor, but didnt even get halfway to the end game.

GW1? played that game straight up for 5 years, and up to 3000 hours
GW2? i am looking at the smae thing, a long time for it.

both games i either play alone, play it with a few friends or play it with guildies (mostly for dungeon content), but otherwise i solo as much as i can.

simply, for me, the mmo mechanics most mmos have are more appealing to me that some of the single player rpgs (gotta love my bubble shield)

in this regard, the outmanned buff i agree it should be changed,taking an example of a good “buff”, albeit if a little late in getting, the game Aion had a buff for the losing side (there where forts to capture too), and if one side of the players (npc side not included), had over 80% of the forts captured the, the losing side would get a boost that would increase their defense and offense against other players by a set ,, and if the enemy players still got to 90 capture, the buff would then increase even further, i think tripling the %

if a side is having this overwhelming victory against other worlds, not many people will be encouraged to participate, as most capture points would be well upgraded and had its defenses set in place, taking over them will be difficult, so something like giving to the losing worlds a 10% damage mitigation and damage dealing if a world takes over 60% (easily visible with the cake-o-meter in the B window), and if it reaches over 80% then either double it or triple it, a world that has gone as far as getting 80% or above of “world domination” is not going to get any challenge whatsoever.

my friend joined the circus with one of her c haracters, and i must say…well, i apologize to the one who designed that story arch, but it was just….not really believable, we laughed at it, not with it, somethings where quite predictable..but it wasnt our coup of tea for us, for some it actually may be nice, but overall it just felt out of place for us two

while i believe the healing output will be nice, i say that you should not expect it to let you “tank and spank” a boss of a dungeon, but other than that it should allow you to be able to recover health fast enough with other complimentary utility skills like “hold the line”, as well as with with dodgning around, should make it a very good support healing like that, i would just suggest to keep mobile, like always

good for you to stick to your principles, i hope this is a lesson learned, next time you see a group wanting t o exploit a bug, keep quiet, write down their names in paper, or report for bug exploiting beforehand and pray for the best or report a bug, if i remember right the report bug takes a screenshot of your screen and thus the chat and then either leave or propose to not abuse a bug.

wether its a bug, an exploit or a dog, its still not how it was meant to be fought, i dont think any boss in the game is meant to be fought with it standing still and doing absolutely nothing and hte players doing nothing but just autoattacking.

cant wait for ANet to fix this bug too.

healing is only but a small part of what support is, only healing /= support, but healing + damage mitigation+ crowd control = support

see that? its the 3 aspects that a gurdian can give, only crowd control may seem a bit lacking, unless you are hammer guardian, but we can give plenty of damage mitigation
Ultramatum and Fabsm gave good pointers, but there a few other points they havent mentioned, the focused on the healing aspects, but i will focus on the protection aspects:

Hold the line: it has a small HoT effect AND it gives also protection, (meaning it heals and mitigates damage), the heal is very small, but i use it as a “soft” heal, alongside the protection it gives to reduce the damage, and has a decent cooldown of 35 seconds

then we also have wall of reflection, which gives no healing at all, but it bounces back all projectiles (exception being targetted AoEs), but can also bounce back some magical projectiles, granted it is useless against meleer combatants, but have you seen a ghostly ranger get punched back by its own arrow? on normal it even deals 1k damage, near end boss an eye of zhaitan in story mode, he uses this multi laser pew pew, use it infront of the visible eye and you will have much lolz seeing himself getting owned by its own shooting.
it has a decent recharge with 40 seconds cooldown and lasts 10 seconds, and with two traits it lasts roughly 15 seconds and a cooldown of 32 seconds, and it negates all projectiles, thus doing damage mitigation on your team (if they are smart enough to stand at the other side of the wall, but that is human problem, not skill problem) and on the plus side oding some extra damage to mobs.

and lastly Sanctuary, untraited, its cooldown is horribly lenghty on 120 seconds, and lasts only 6 seconds, but traited with master of consacrations, its cooldown is 96 seconds, and lasts around 8 or 9 seconds, it has a minor moderate healing factor, but most importantly, it absorbs all projectiles AND pushes back foes (same problem than wall of reflection though, it doesnt stop targetted aoe’s but it absorbs spheres and balls), you can use this to defend a downed member, help a pinned member down, and with the trait of consacrated ground, you can cast it anywhere you want (within range), and this trait also affects wall of reflection. Alternatively, you can ALSO use sanctuary as an offensive skill, if you cast it on a foe that is near a wall, and you cast it well placed, you can pin down that foe with constant/permanent knockback, very much useful against mobs that dont have the unshakeable effect, and against the ones that have it, it still can be used somewhat effectively.

those 3 skills are the staple of my utility section, and only in fights against bosses that dont have ranged do i change them accordingly, but as you can see, guardian support is viable, we can give healing, reduce damage and have CC, so its not a “who is better at supporting”, but rather what kind of support you can be giving, now i dontknow how elementalists give support, but thisis the way me as a guardian can give support, and personally i like it this way, and when i get to play an ele support, i will probably have to play a much different kind of support ele compared to a guardian, doesnt mean one is better than the other, they just are different.

side story related to support:
my guild and i have been doing Ascalonian catacombs recently, and we’ve done it enough times that is “easy”, just the lieutenant kohler can give some troubles, but here i have finally mastered the timing against his pulling, and with 3 skills i can negate them:
shield of absorption (i fight him with scepter and shield)
virtue of courage (i burn it before he does his pull)
and lastly retreat

using those 3 skills (i could also use sanctuary and wall of reflection to negate it, but its harder when they are spread as these have limited range), i’ve been able to practically reduce the success of his pull to his death spin attack by an 80%, enough to say that when i dced one time at the begining of the battle, and took me around 5 minutes to log back in (stupid internet!), upon returning back a friend in the group told me that they had been gotten pulled by the boss several times, meaning htey wherent able to roll out of the pull, meaning me as a guardian, i was albe to give support to my teammates enough to “ignore” this mob special attack!

that, is satisfying for me as a support guardian, and iwont be rerolling to other class for to give support

i use GS as my weapon weapon, as secondary slot i have scepter/shield for when needing to fight against dangerous bosses to be meleeing around, as well as long range attacking.

alternatively i also have a staff in ivnentory for speed buff when its needed.

Can we expect Higher Tier geared in the future patches?

they had stated that there would indeed be a level cap increase down the road, but they did not said when it would happen (sorry dont know exactly where to search for a link for it), but if they do raise the cap, i expect them to:

raise the static exotics level (m looking at you dungeons and wvw armors) along with the cap (meaning that if they do raise it, any dungeon armor is suddenly turned from 80 to 90, with the apropiate stats increases)

though preferenciably, i hope they dont touch the level cap at all

Please add the "Rabid" Gear Set to crafting.

no need to take it personal, if i say i dont believe it, its just that, i dont beleive it, its not that i am calling you a liar, but without evidences, hell even a screenshot of it bugged that you cannot take it, i will take things with a grain of salt unless hard evidence is shown.

if your friends and guildies believe you, good for you, means they are real friends and material worthy guildies, they trust you enough for that.
with that said, I (much emphasis in me) do not know you, and thus i cannot trust you “Just like that”, doesnt mean its a bad thing, its just that, you are a stranger to me, just like i am a stranger to you.

relax, and just keep farming that chest, im sure it will appear again sometime, somewhere

legendary weapons were well known about their existance before the game came out, but there was little to no talk about legendary armors, so yes i am a bit more inclined on not believing they exist at the moment.
