Waited around an hour for moa to spawn…it spawned somewhere else on the map (not at the dulfy loacation) and when i waypointed…it was already dead, causing me to rage quit. The problem I have is that the device is WORTHLESS cause it shows the bosses that literally die within 26 secs with the zerg so you have to wait hours for something that dies instantly. Haven’t been able to get a single one. -.-

After todays patch I loaded up to finish map completion and sometimes when I run to newly discovered areas my facets just turn off or even when I enter combat. Since Revenant doesn’t have any 25% movement trait…I NEED to have Facet of Elements on when I can. I rarely switch out of Dragon Stance so it’s not deactivating because of changing stances.
You know, I agree with you 100%. However the more I test out druid the more I realize the druid is really NOT a dedicated healer. It looks more to me like the skills on staff are yes, supportive but just as supportive as any other class. It’s like running a GS/staff mesmer for example. Thats what druid is really starting to feel like for me. They gave the rangers the one thing they were lacking, all around support. That’s why we were left out of parties. Right? People hate our selfish skills. The only thing for the druid is the celestial avatar however runs on high healing and it gives you an option to run full healing power if you want.
Something else I’d also like ot mention. I’ve also been testing out tempest. Water ele/tempest in particular. I’ve noticed massive amount of easy healing, healing auras and protecting. If I wanted to be a dedicated healer I’d pick the ele class.
Tl;dr
It feels way more fluid and right to main healing on the tempest.
It feels way more right to use druid’s staff as a supportive weap thats gives you cc, buffs, and suistainability when needed.Only problem with what I’m saying is this could just be my play style and how I see it personally. Thought I’d share this anyway.
Um, rangers aren’t left out of parties for support LOL they are left out because there are alot of bad rangers that don’t know when to put there pets on passive and they pull mobs AND they use longbow skill 4 and they end up pushing the enemies away from the aoes everyone puts down. -.-

Dedicated healer, in a game that doesn’t need dedicated healers.
Another ranged weapon, to go with our 3 pre-existing ones.
We’re still shackled to pets, which are still a fail mechanic.

As someone who has been playing Gw2 since launch I agree except for the ‘shackled to pets’ statement since the ranger’s icon is a paw print because the pet is there main mechanic and the reason why you would pick them in the first place (even though it’s flawed -,-).
However the problem with Druid still stands that RANGER CAN DO THE SAME RESULT WITH LESS EFFORT! If a Ranger puts down their healing spring and everyone uses there leap and blast finishers….they get healed right back to full without having to running around to aim heal skills and offer little to none damage at the same time. Rangers can’t spam condition cleanse but healing spring and nature spirit offers enough for groups who already have self heals, dodges, reflects, boons, blocks, invulnerability, and conditions like weakness can survive without that much extra heals. -.-
As much as I would love to see this stay in the game…I highly doubt that they will keep something like this because the reason why ranger’s spirits were nerfed to uselessness, was due to the fact they didn’t like there being too much ‘pets’ in wvw and pvp. This bristleback looks large enough to have eaten all 5 of our spirits.
only thing that sucks is that I never got the lion warhorn skin with the cool sound >,<

I don’t know why people are so excited about the idea of elementalist getting a one-handed sword.
FIRST OF ALL, Nearly every class can use sword and all those sword skills (guard, warrior, ranger, thief, mesmer, and possibly revenant) are just standard melee skills (cuts, slashes, blinks, dodge, etc) which are things dagger kinda already does. -.-
Sword if you think about it may look good, but it’s such a boring weapon that 5/8 classes already use!!! While only 3 classes (warrior, ranger, and necromancer) use warhorn and if you think about the Hunter’ Call the ranger has and the Locus Swarm necromancers get the idea of warhorn sounds hell of lot more fun. Summoning storms around you like Locus swarm and instant aoes at an enemies location like Hunter’s call without having to ground target would make me more excited, then just using a longer dagger….cause that what a sword is.
Anyone know if we will keep the traits that we spent copper/silver/gold to unlock or earned? I mean the update said that they are changing the way we unlock traits so does that mean when the update comes we have to earn everything over? -.-
You unlock chapters of you story quests every 10 levels. You completed your level 10 story quest so you have to wait till level 20.

I logged in to find this message in the mail, I DIDN’T click the link that was provided within the email because I don’t believe everything I read. At the bottom it says this wasn’t someone from the guild wars 2 team, but I just want to be sure that this is someone trying to troll or scam me like I think it is.
I am praying that the armor is something obtainable without spending 800 gems for a set when you just want a specific piece.
I’ve been waiting too >,< I mean Halloween was nice, but not really ‘fun’ in a sense that it was just farming trick or treat bags…nothing new.

1. Best class for zerg farming content
2. Everyone loves guardian boons
3. Guardians aren’t as brain-dead to use as warriors are. (in my opinion)
I used up 46 of my keys and I haven’t even gotten ONE fossil. Has anyone even gotten one or is it just my horrible luck (even though I have 142% magic find).
I finish my monthly and was logged off for the new build. When I logged back on the Monthly chest icon wasn’t there so I get none of the rewards. Why!!?
I’ve tried to put my playlist for guild wars 2 and no matter what I do I still get the horribly boring ingame music.
I use VLC media player and my files are .m3u with the standard .mp3 songs and I’ve put my playlists into the guild wars 2 music folder like all the youtube videos instructed and saved it under the names too, but it just doesn’t work and has me so annoyed trying to figure out how. If there is no solution for this I guess I’ll just have to go back having my sound muted for guild wars 2 again.
Yeah this bugs me on my ranger when i use stealth with my longbow. So I uncheck my radiant gloves and shoulders so the light doesn’t get pixels.
Shortbow is condition and longbow is raw damage, personally I love longbow cause it just feels like it does more damage with the control (knockback and cripple). Plus it has stealth which aimed at ambient animals makes an easy escape.
You don’t have to craft to reach max level or have the best gear, it’s just a side feature that some enjoy. However if you would like to craft Ascended or legendary weapons, its something your going to have to do, but that shouldn’t be hard if you do 100% map completion.
All I need for my legendary is my gift of might, gift of magic, 250 ectos and that precursor (which I don’t want to think about). However I have been finding that tier 6 material are so rare even if there ‘blue rarity’. I already got my stack of 250 dust from salvaging ectos, but all the other materials I can’t seem to get at all.
So I ask whats the best way to get tier 6 mats WITHOUT:
Champ box farms (60 boxes got me only 5 mats)
Mystic Forge Promote (not a fair exchange)
Buying from the trading post (25-35+ silver for ONE tier 6 material is BS)
I only noticed this AFTER the recent patch for the living story and I have tried to ignore it the best I can, but it’s just ugly. Due to the fact that my Asura is the ‘tallest’ height setting my weapons stab/cut right through my wrist where a small asura’s hands would be.
Whenever I see amazing solos like this I say, “Now that guy/girl deserves a legendary or precursor.” However this game doesn’t really reward players for skill, rather then players who are lucky with mystic toilet and chests. Anyway I salute you!
I was bored and decided to create another sylvari and I noticed this. I feel dumb for asking, but I just wanted to know if anet. added this recently or along time ago and I just didn’t notice.
Compared to Staff and the third skill in scepter the dagger heals are very minor, If you going for a support build with dagger and dagger then your going to be supporting with auras and buffs rather the basic healing like a staff ele can.
Elementalist+guardian
It takes 2 to make a dungeon run go right. Whenever there is a guardian on the team our buffs combined keep us from even getting knocked at half hp. Boon spam ftw!
I have a healer/support necromancer and everyone loves her!!! Necros can be built into any role as long as believe.
I used to use a full exotic clerics elementalist and it was so incredibly tanky. I would always be the last one standing in dungeons with Sigil of energy (A MUST HAVE) and evasive arcana I would heal so much. Considering the strongest spell on staff for an ele is eruption, however it takes a few seconds. However with the full clerics set I had lots of power and used undead runes to convert all that 5% of that toughness to condition damage.
Traits:
Fire: 0
Air: 0
Earth: 20
Water: 20
Arcane: 30
Ive heard that tier 2 and 3 cultural armors have a glow effect, but in my personal opinion they aren’t attractive at all. I’d like to know before I decide to buy this skin.
Sigh.
Ele’s already have a bunch of weapons. Why not just fix the ones we have?
Staff: 1 in all 4 attunements seem to be there to just fill a slot.
Water: 2 is completely stupid. Yes vulnerability is nice but a heal would be better. At least make it a blast finisher?
Air: only air 3,4, and 5 are useful, and the cd is too long. Gust is poo because and half the time it doesn’t work right.
Focus: take the one useful, air 4 off this and put in on the useless staff air 2 where it belongs. Then scrap the rest of the skills and start over. Focus is awful.
Scepter all and all, I’d like to see the condition damaged buffed. Make fire 1 more useful but buffing it.
That is all I can think of right now.
Focus useless? It has the BEST EARTH SKILLS!!! It has a blast finisher that removes 3 conditions and cripples and Obsidian flesh that gives you invulnerability.
Before lots of people farmed ac explore (all paths), but since they made it ‘more fun’, there are only 2-3 parties asking for help. People please stop complaining about old dungeons so they can focus on giving us NEW dungeons that are challenging. So many people HATE things being ‘too easy’. No matter what they do, you can’t please everyone.
It has a 10 second cooldown, with the 60% to recharge thats how long it takes for you to switch between attunements.
Really? I’m in Dragonbrand and mostly every ele is staff, especially in orr cause you can farm like a boss with aoes. Staff is all I use on my Elementalist, there not as fun as dual daggers and they may not have my Favorite skill in the game (obsidian Flesh<3) but they have so much defense, burst, control, and combos.
HOWEVER there are tridents that look way better then the staffs we are offered. Staffs need more particle effects.
It’s not that worthless in pve, with a crit build i can spam 2k damage lol. Not really viable anywhere else though..
As much as I would LOVE the idea of getting my charr ele a greatsword, I don’t think we will. Except the worst, but pray for the best I guess.

Why? because charr have the best cast animations with a staff and I made a norn cause I love there female hairstyles compared the the humans.
My first character I wanted it to be a charr cause they are just so majestic. Running with a group people, the charr just sticks out and shines.
Yes and no
I have seen a lot of people complaining ingame about elementalist being soo squishy. So there hard to the first time player, but once you find a combo between attunements everything is pretty much easy. To say any class is easy to play is an OPINION cause what is easy to you can be hard for some. I for one suck at any timed jumping puzzles, however my guild mates get them in one try. Everyone is different.
I seriously doubt we will see mounts. I do not know the collective mind or intentions of ArenaNet, but I really, really don’t think so.
ABSOLUTELY CORRECT, Why the heck would anyone need mounts when we can just waypoint? Some people have max boon duration and can have infinite swiftness and not to mention how many glitches would occur when your on a mount and get pulled and stunned in Orr.
Trust me your just better off using magic find boosts and/or food because when I had magic find gear with consumables it gave me about 150% and within 2 hours I got a bunch of claws and no corrupted lodestones. Then I farmed with my ranger who only had 80% from a magic find booster and omnomberry bar. After 2 hours I had 4 lodestones, I think the more magic find you build the game just cheats you.
I built my guardian as a healer and a tank, Im always the last gal standing amongst my friends. Mace+shield+shouts=ftw
I LOVE elementalist, there not perfect but there not horrible either. Elementalist don’t really need evasive arcana anyway, they have plenty of blast finishers and combo fields as it is.
The only thing I WANT is conjured weapons to be a toggle like how the engineers have bomb kits. I would make a norn and model her after Ashe from League of legends with an ice bow.
Considering that the Nightmare court are indeed sylvari and are EVIL I would think that sylvari can insult others, just like any other race.
Arcane trait line is sort of a MUST because what separates the good elementalist from the bad is the ability to chain skills together to do heavy amounts of damage and get out of the way. Best way in my opinion and personal experience is to max out arcane for the attunement cooldown time.
Fire: RAW DAMAGE
Air: BURST BURST BURST
Earth: BLEED (condition damage and toughness builders)
Water: Supports with auras and heals
With a critical build the Ice shards does about 600+ damage (x3 shards=1800)
Scepter and focus is amazing! Particularly the water and earth skills on focus.
Dagger and Dagger=Loads of damage, risky
Staff=Loads of control, Slow
Scepter and Dagger= Lots of damage with control
Scepter and Focus= THE MOST TANKY an ELEMENTALIST can be.
Magnetic Wave: Removes 3 conditions! and a Blast finisher
Obsidian Flesh: Invulnerable for 4 seconds
Freezing gust: Chill (perfect on bosses)
Comet: Blast finish with a Daze
Swirling Winds: Big shield that destroys projectiles (sometimes useful)
