I will never get the fascination with charcoal sylvari, or burnt twigs as I tend to call them if I’m in a slightly meaner mood.
For me a plant has to be colourful, vibrant. Otherwise its a dead plant.And before someone piles in with “but it’s a necromancer”. Well commonly the necromancer herself isnt dead/undead, just a practitioner of magic involving the dead/undead. There are cases where they count among the undead themselves, but at least not in guild wars, as far as I know. (Could be wrong about that, admittedly.)
Edit: To clarify: I’m not saying that the designs don’t look nice or interesting. But they just rub me the wrong way.

Ok, not sure if this problem affects anyone else but i find it a minor problem.
I’m doing dungeons for the completion achievements, leading up to the dungeon master title.
I try run each path only once as i have no interest in any of the dungeon gear and i’ve already reached the power plateau.
Now i dont do the dungeons or paths in any particular order, i just join any guild groups/pugs or make my own as i go along. I’ve done all the dungeons at least one path and about 4 of them are completed on all paths, but the others.
I have no idea which paths are completed and which aren’kittens making it awkward to finish my achievement.
I coulda sworn that i had finished CM but it says 3/4 and some others are the same.
has anyone else come across this problem and would like the dungeons tracked in the achievement tab?
walk up to CM if you can enter explorable by yourself then idk
if you cant then you need story
I don’t think it would be a nice idea, because it’d mean a no full-cleave main weapon. I don’t like it. I’d rather have a dagger main as the “evasive” (pffttt) weapon and sword as superior melee, cleaving damage.
OR JUST BUFF THE kitten GS ALREADY!!!! And remove the evades, RAMPING UP the damage and vuln highhhh in the sky.

hmm, my bad I guess, I always assumed it was the same reason we couldn’t jump and then dodge (you can jump & dodge but not dodge after you jump), All the thing discussed also put you in the air so that’s why I assumed it was the issue. Can you dodge out of burning retreat/ele fire dagger 3, those are the only movement abilities I can think of that don’t put you in the air or aren’t instant (flashing blades/JI are instant).
Either way though, I think anyone in PVE would agree with the change, but I’ve seen quite a bit of opposition from PVP players when it’s been suggested in the ranger forums. It’d be nice if they addressed it some way though, plenty of possible options. I liked the idea someone proposed of a dagger mainhand for ranger as their highest damage melee weapon without the technical limitations sword has.

Nobody(who actually did these long enough) wants dungeon runs to be harder or longer.
They’re already a chore. It’s been 2 years – new content should be added.
People only do these dungeons for rewards mostly anyway – if you make them so hard that they’re not worth it people will just move on and farm somewhere else.
This actually happened in the game before the dungeon rewards were buffed to 1+ gold per path.
Up the difficulty and that 1 gold won’t be worth the time it takes to farm it.
You have to realize that the dungeon community is comprised of a majority that does them for the rewards and cares very little if at all for the “dungeon experience” and a minority that wants the dungeons to be changed.
Changing them won’t necessarily be bad – but I’m willing to bet you money the majority of players ( myself included) are going to move on and not touch them.

Id like to start including arah into my list of dungeons to do on a daily bases
but from what i remember all the pugs ive went with got our kitten handed to use, allthough we eventually beat the path it took us too long
so does anyone know of/have a guide to the arah paths?
1.dungeons are pretty much open an instance with themed enemies, i still enjoy them
2.before you can excpect those interesting mobs to be in dungeons they need to be all over the open world
3.the second paragraph, i havent seen that in any mmo, have you seen it, if so which one?
4.Even the legendary Weapon is just a skin, this game isnt the same kinda game as diablo, also 1 run through all 3 paths of a dungeon can get you an exotic helm, gloves, or boots
5. the 99 floor dungeon thing, though dont get me wrong would be cool, but i see that as a dungeon crawler thing not an mmo thing
Selling is another story because some people spend their life whiteknighting ( new verb right here) the lfg and looking for us the filthy exploiters (berserker exploit, reading exploit, reflects exploit, dodge exploit, being good at the game exploit, melee exploit, etc )to report. Then when it’s 3 am they’ll secretely buy a run because they can’t do arah and playing the game is an exploit.

I suggest these utilities for skill points:
-Signet of Fire
-Signet of Air
-Arcane Wave
-Arcane Shield
-Conjure Lightning Hammer
-Conjure Ice Bow
-Conjure Firey GreatswordThose are the most useful utilities overall for PvE. There’s a lot of other ones that are good too but they’re much more niche.
Make sure you also get the Arcane Brilliance + Glyph heals!

Was anyone else disappointed to learn that increasing MF just meant you can just get more blues/green, which you salvage for MF, which gets you more blues/greens, which you salvage for MF….
The main rewards for dungeons are the gold. You can get good drops, but aside from a few extremely rare dungeon/boss-specific recipes/gear, the drops happen at about the same rate as wandering around in open world.
reasons i go dungeoning
1.gold reward at the end
2. possibly rare/exotic drops
3. free Lvl 80 armor
4. buy armor with tokens and salvage for ectos

You can’t do that, your majesty. That would be….challengingtoo hard for PUGs…And those changes would only make it “normal”. I got more wild ideas to make it actually hard.
If it was up to me I would normalize base stats, remove passive crap, make AI more punishing, make boons and combos more important, improve condition damage and expand skill sets for enemies.

dont play much mesmer, but your 2 skill on MH sword makes you avoid all damage, so you could save that for the electric attack

since I run a ton of dungeons on my lvl 80’s id be perfectly ok with this
