Or orrrrr, here is a fun idea. Play for fun not grind. Masterys are going to happen eventually.
Eventually isn’t an option when you want to do the HoT story, I’ve ran into 4 or 5 ‘’mastery walls’’ now, at least once per map so far, you then have to force yourself through a 2 hour long mastery grind when you want to be doing the story instead.
It’s a bit strange, I feel like by the time I’ve grinded the bar to unlock the ability to use most of these things, I’ll long be sick and tired of the map it actually matters in.
Yeah, I must admit I’m not much feeling the ‘’play your way’’ motto, I’m stuck with a forced grind for Maguuma mastery exp just so I can continue the story. >.>
Why would you want this?
Every map you complete gives you a chance to get a key, along with gold and crafting materials, I find it worth the time to explore.
And this is why I don’t play Beta characters, I cannot stand being faced with what you have there, OP, an awesome drop.. worthless because it’s on a character where progress means nothing lol
So… what are we supposed to do with this as players? I’m not going to avoid my alts just because they messed up.
EotM for leveling your character, Structured PvP for reward track bonus, which basically means how quickly you’ll be earning rewards by doing sPvP matches.
I personally always use those for sPvP.
We got Colin the water he needed.
Ehhhhhh… wat?
It’s not meant to be a full experience where they’d never have to pay a dime, it’s more a glorified unlimited trial for them to decide whether or not HoT, and thus the full game without any limitations at all, is worth getting.
I wouldn’t say crafting is worth it, the crafting materials however are worth saving up to sell.
No speed problems here, but rather a launcher that is crashing every 2 seconds.
When my guy says “That looks valuable” or “You can never have too much treasure” when you’re 99.9999% sure that the item is worth kitten all.
‘’Rare treasure!’’
I didn’t even know who Angry Joe was until after the game came out. I did like his review once I watched it, but I can’t say I’ve watched any other of his videos since then. :\
I got GW2 because I played GW1, and then I enjoyed the GW2 beta events.
I was already to play before I saw his review. Beside he stated he hasn’t played for a long time. His Angry army is active but he is not.
That’s generally how it goes with Joe and MMO’s from what I’ve seen, he’s around for a short while, and then moves on to the next big release, I think he actively played and streamed ESO for like 2 weeks or so before moving on, granted, that was likely also because he didn’t like it a whole lot, but still.
And even in the time he played ESO he was mostly fooling around, I know absolutely for sure he never got anywhere near ESO’s veteran ranks, post level 50 essentially.

While I know who AngryJoe is, hell, I watch his videos on a daily basis, he actually wasn’t the reason I got the game, I needed a new MMO, was tired of TERA, STO and SWTOR, and knew I wouldn’t have much money to throw at a F2P title, so I got GW2 HoT instead, which off course came with base GW2 included.
I sure as hell wouldn’t substitute a new restricted account for a character slot, you need to take into account everything you’ve unlocked outfit/bag wise also, not just the price of the slot itself.
Considering I just got HoT(+base game) a month ago, I feel kinda… not positive.
Wow, I’m glad to see it isn’t just me, because up till now I thought it probably was.
