First, we here at GoM work tirelessly day in and day out to manicure, pedicure, maintain, and otherwise ‘show our our troops some love’ If you know what I mean. GoM has become a well oiled fighting force of no fewer than 6,000 Pugs at any given time that are both vastly kittened, and malleable. So despite being handicapped, we can typically respond and cover a target like a blanket. (See attached)

I’d like to answer your third and fourth questions out of turn here, starting with the fourth. Many moons ago, a server called FC was forged in the fires of the Dredge. The dredge, not knowing what they had done, sent it out into the world because it was lame and useless. That server had a secret power that the dredge couldn’t have surmised: They were secretly mighty Keyboard Warriors. GoM set out in T8 to defeat them, and week after week they rightfully did so. Smashing FC faces into the pavement much like a cholo would someone owing him money. But, they kept coming back. For an eternity, GoM waged a Holy War against the Dark Forces of ET and many of those were consumed by the Madness. They became what they had been named for. They were Gates. They were Mad.

As for why GoM is in close competition with Kaineng, we never were a T8 quality server. We have always deserved 5-6 ranking even when Zombie Losers were on our server. But the RNG hated us, or so we thought. We found back in an old library in Old Lion’s Arch,in a chest, a book, well preserved and untouched by the water. It was written in Old Canthan, and it took many of our greatest scholars months to decipher its text. But, we discovered it was called “Pwning Noobs” by Sum Ting Wong, who would famously go on to fly an air plane. GoMs commanders have transcribed and studied this book tirelessly. In our fits of Madness we have even channeled Sum Ting Wong and written new chapters. Some of them fittingly titled, some of them just smears of fecal matter across an kitteneep that were then lithographed into a book. Why you might ask? Why not? Would you not lithograph fecal smears?

We would also like to encourage you guys to read more books GoM Booksellers, Ltd is offering, at the low low price of 10g, our newest book “Losing With Honor” by our most prolific commander Liqma Diq. He’s some kind of Arabic, never mind his name.

That is where you are wrong, many people do not think “ET is bad at WvW”, in fact what many people think, is that smaller servers tend to have better quality players. Speaking from a server that has outnumbered, and been outnumbered, it is true.

The more people you have, the easier it is, the worse your build is because you can “get away” with it due to sheer numbers usually.

So no I do not think ET is bad at WvW, I think if they had the player-base that the T5-6 servers have then they would make a lot of you sorry for disrespecting them.

They do have T5-6 players. Theres like four of them. I’ve met them on the field of battle.

Breh, don’t get me wrong. I have some great friends on SF. Great battles and good fun. But we’re bored. A lot of GoM commanders need more thrilling matchups. Two ET attacked me while I flew my kite. What nubs your whole server is.

So the Commanders for GoM decided we needed to have Thorsday as usual. ARM solo’d grub, and we had our Commander Ritual. We sacrificed ourselves to the Blood God to beg for a better match up next week, and we tried to bring Kites of Love to SF, but they wouldn’t have any of that.

Made a few Gate of Madness friends today. We, Anvil Rock, had just lost our keep and I was hiding inside. BUT nobody felt like sneaking in. We were [Outnumbered] as usual, so I just sat on the cliff with my kite to see how long it would take GoM to notice.

2) Someone walked 25 golems off 3rd floor SM
3) Someone notified a certain server of a golem rush minutes before it began.

Also, as a night crew Commander, yes night crew DOES roll face for GoM because we have yet to face a server WITH a decent night crew. Not ragging on AR, but FC can’t turn out sufficient numbers to protect everything everywhere…. which is where GoM is… everywhere always. We have so many Oceanic players that it really is apalling I guess to some servers… as well difficult for me in TS because I have a love for Ozzie accents and well….. cue Takei.

Rather than avoid a head ache trying to explain your own points to you, I’m going to take the high road here, and enjoy the beautiful day outside.

Also APPARENTLY I’m being deliberately rude and inflammatory. This is mostly true. So I’ll dial it back a notch and be instead bluntly honest:

GoM has some issues, and no body on GoM will lie, cheat, or otherwise try to sugar coat it and say we do not. We have some organizational things that need to be worked out, but its not an indictment on GoM players. For the most part 70% of our players know when a commander says jump they should ask how high and/or just flipping jump. The rest like to troll the commanders. We might over use some siege. ie The gatelista, gatebuchet, and gateling gun. But, for the most part, we keep our towers well sieged and defended.

FC: We’ve played you guys for too many weeks. Many of us are bored with the play and trolling you is literally the only outlet we have now. Like honestly, our fights and battles are boring. Your rush on Sm was super exciting or us and I actually got to giggle and yell in TS things that weren’t “not this again”.

That being said here’s stuff I have HONESTLY noticed and ARE NOT MEANT TO DERIDE, INFLAME, OR OTHER WISE ANNOY:

1) FC are too quick to disperse in a zerg. If we tower dive off the top into the middle of a zerg, 3 GoM vs 20 FC, most of you guys scatter to the four winds.
2) FC rarely sieges up its towers.
3) Rarely aren’t rams placed fast enough to get damage done before GoM can counter siege.
4)SF’s mistakes are being repeated
5) Neither FC nor GoM can fight a fair 1v1 with roamers*

*This is a bit weighted unfairly. Several GoM, including my self, can. But I honestly have yet to have a fair 1v1 with an FC. I like to scout. I’m a glass ele, its not a good idea, but I do it anyway. If I come up on two or thee FC together… obviously they can use map chat and duel me or even have a fair battle. I’ve even gone out of my way to bow to a specific person before, and STILL had both or all three on me like fur on a cat. And what makes it worse (to me) is I’ve seen GoM do it to FC aswell, even going so far as to make light of three people attacking one…. and don’t use that as a line to say “UNNNNGH GoM IS TARGETING US” I’ll put RL money on it that in 80% of the 1v3’s I’ve had the FC team said something to the effect of “LOL STEAMROLL” I r annoyed.

This whole thread has become flaming and annoyances. Especially since we can’t really inter-server chat during matches, its kind of hard to air grievances there. So they come here. While I don’t appreciate the censure from the Mods in this forum, I understand the heavy-handed mommying being done. I don’t like it, but I get it. Good natured trolling never hurt anyone. ESPECIALLY. when literally all I want from FC is for you guys to get mad enough for someone to bust some heads on your side and go “hey! Lets get our stuff together and give them some good fights. This is bull crap!” Then ACoM might give you some good fair fights.

Please, please, before you post, try to figure out what exactly it is you are trying to say, or prove, it’ll save you this kind of embarrassment.

I love how GoM is trying to antagonize me, and calling me a troll for pointing out their exact words. THEY said they are disorganized, THEY said they are unavailable to play a ground troop game, THEY said they need AC, and supply to be successful. I am just reiterating this.

Everybody needs ACs. FC just uses them wrong. Case in point: Good AC placement can cause something like this.

If the game is entirely playable without using a piece of it, which it is. ( If every server used none, the game would still be played just fine, it’s not like you wouldn’t be able to get through a door without it. )

Thus, using it is a handicap. It’s a pretty straight forward definition.

Why are all you GoM mad? You defended the castle, and you’re still raging and Q.Qing about it on the forums. I’ve never seen a winning server cry so much. If you really believed that you had skill, and tactics, you wouldn’t need to try, and defend it at every turn with make shift GIFs.

GoM is not mad, we’re just in a rut of total GoMination that we can’t get out. We’re all fat lazy Gommie Bear who keep rolling over onto FC. We’re inGoMnible. All things are possible through GoM. et cetera.

Also Leagoue is playable without having a blood thirster on Miss Fortune… I still buy one before I buy anything else. I think getting your taint in a tizzy over a game mechanic being used is a bit whiny on your part. How about instead of decrying our ‘lack of tactics’ you should figure our some tactics of your own to counter siege. Like. “Oh look they have ACs on the walls. What so ever am I going to do to get rid of them? Allow me to stand within range and ponder this impregnable question!” And do so. Stand there. Please. Smile for me. Skeet skeet AC.

Ah my first server, I transfered from GoM to AR for the tpvp. I started on GoM because there was a All Canadian guild there at one point, but they quit before I started. I have to wonder is it a ghost land there? Before I transfered in like December it was extremely dead.

Ask FC how often they have a keep, and ask them how dead we are.

It’s so hilarious to see these FC whine about how we “only focus on them” and how “big GoM’s zergs are”. 1) We are NOT only focusing FC. If you TRULY AND HONESTLY BELIEVE that GoM is ONLY focusing FC….please rethink your life. 2) People, it’s a fact of life that zergs exist. For people to whine and moan about how another server has a zerg simply makes them hypocrites. EVERY SERVER HAS ZERGS. Your zergs might not be “massive” but certainly a whole lot larger than ours most of the time. Thieves in GoM figured out to apply their favourite spam into siege —> AC,AC,AC,AC,AC. I can just sigh whenever your zerg shows up and 3 AC blueprints are dropped before a ram goes down…
No swords on any blue = focus FC only. This screen was taken moments after we wiped your zerg and you decided to just double your numbers (as usual) to obtain objective. AR also moved in for some ninja capping.

Wait. You’re saying that you’re upset because our numbers (seemingly) doubled after he first wave…. FC only can fight a war of attrition. I mean. I havenit had to buy siege with gold in quite some time. I get to use badges courtesy of your wave after wave of glassy mesmers…..

Heh our little joke about GoM is that they probe with 5 and exponentially increase their numbers until your screen is filled with red and ACs. Oh and that was not doubled after the first wave, it was doubled after the initial double.

But nice screen there, and as you stated: ACoM are preparing their onslaught at that very moment. tbh I don’t mind that you attack us from there – for once it’s a screen where I don’t see 2/3 red and 1/3 blue. So thanks for that – one browny point.

And I’m not kidding about the ACs – the fight following my screen shot had ACoM eventually streaming into (and around) the lord’s room and build about 15 ACs on the walls since there was no way you could actually win the battle on the ground with just numbers.

Literally have no idea hat you’re talking about calling us ACoM. I command typically 2nd and 3rd shifts and never once has someone dropped an AC while we were capping. I throw down my rams, my guys build them, and then when all is said and down we siege up the tower to be defended. Whatever kitten brained commander is dropping ACs like that during caps and such and zergs, welp, I haven’t ever met them!

Don’t think I’m saying you’re lying, but definitely saying I have no experience with this and that my zerg/forces behind me have consistently wiped larger FC forces. You guys have got to all be glass. Its seriously to the point where you guys might down me, but before someone can heal me I’m back up because one of my 9 targets I’m hitting at once (D/D ele, I go HAM) is downed.
