Im noob at Guardian and therefore suck extra hard cause of their low Hp pool, so im currently sitting on full zerk gear, is there any good traits spec and rubys or something i could use to become more “tanky” but still have a fun dps experience in both PvE and PvP?

So im trying out new classes, and Ele seems pretty cool with light hammer and such, i have 80 warr and 80 thief, warr is kinda fun but i want to try something new, failing as warr in dungeon is okey since you have the hp pool to cover for it, failing as thief is a disaster, one hit and you are down. I cant seem to get thief right.

Now to my question, how is ele in dungeons and fractals.

Yeah so ive tried more dungeons, and i just keep sucking. Even with blinds and such if you let one hit through you get one hit or condition and bam you are dead. Thief really is unforgiving if you are bad.

So ive trid Thief in dungeon got rekt and kicked out. So I turned away from thief. But I cant help feeling the urge to come back when i see all the sweet animations, gear and dmg they pull. So as a noob. How do I not suck?

Any good guides i should watch or, feels like a really hard proffesion to master

Sylvaris can have wider shoulders, making them look fitter. Id go for sylvari personally. Plus human is kind of, mainstream?

yeah think ive seen some shoulders be sligthly bigger in some cases and I kinda like the idle pose. But yeah ive seen some weird clipings here and there :/

So atm i have a 40 human warrior, I think they look best in heavy armor, however i just noticed that Sylvari has this pretty cool idle stance, but they seem to have smaller feet and tiping on their toes while running. Besides that they seem identical.

Anyway wich race of the two do you have and do think i should stick to my human?

I have always loved the animation on the greatsword on the ranger, however im not sure if its worth leveling if it wont be used later on in Dungeons and fractals. Is there any build around GS and LB or anything cool?

Spear as a very offensive weapon with shield might be an interesting weapon set, but only If they redesign shield. Spear + shield = holding a point for me. You know, like Spartans defending one place, not moving at all, but they were killing machines. You can run easily, but you can’t take point, when there’s guardian there. It won’t be op, because that kind of guardian would not have any ways to catch it’s opponent. This means it might be weak (useless) in roaming, but a must have for tournaments.

Yeah I wouldt mind a sweet shieldbash while holding a spear, or something similiar to Athena in Smite if you have played it. She has a pretty sweet design around this idea.

As for someone who like the idea of the shield as a weapon rather than only defence, id like to see it used more as an offensive thing like in WoW or Crusader in Diablo. Also an axe to go with it.
But thats just me id like to see my guardian as a blue glame wearing warrior rather than this buff machine. But thats just me i like to go on the more offence style of things.

So ive been reading up on guardian tacs like obals long post and some others, and then i came across something like “Camping GS and Sword is a bad idea” Now what do they mean by that?
Ive been trying to figure out a main between warr and guardian, i find guardian so have more visualy apealing spells so im trying to get better as guardian in dungeons:)

Well i died throughout the dungeon but i guess they had enough when i couldt handle the mobs that spawns under the shield, where you need to stand in each one, P1 ofc right before the last boss. Im using D/D cause well i think thats the coolest combo :P I mean i can survive in their as a zerk guardian somewhat cause of shields and blinds.

So i recently dinged 80 got my exotic zerk rdy and gemed up, and i figured i try the next step and head into CoF. BIG! mistake, i dont know how you thiefs do it, but i got wrecked and got myself kicked for the first time playing this game.

I guess i should just stick to my noob friendly warrior.

Yeah tried CoF for the first time as thief today, Daaaaamn these guys are squishy i dont know how you do it, but i got kicked for the first time in this game. I might stick to my warrior, more noob friendly :P

So after all the balancing and such and ive read that warrior aint what it used to be. Who is the best? Currently I have 80 warr 80 thief and 80 Guardian, I mostly play PvE but want to try PvP at some point.
Now as you prolly can tell i havent played this game that much only few periods from time to time.

Roll any other profession then ranger. Simply put, nerfs will come, and you wont know how to deal with that.

Another proffesion like? I already have 80 warr and 80 guardian, and a 43 thief but not sure im that keen on a thief.

So today i got this instant lvl 20 scroll and i cant decide on what class i should use it on, i sorta trying to decide between Ranger or Necro. as i play mostly PvE i wonder what kind of place Ranger have, also curious how well they do in PvP. And just overall what you guys think of the class Is 2h sword any good for the ranger?

So ive just started doing some fractals, and its kinda fun actually kinda fin way of doing some pve, only one problem im full zerk and no Runes on gear cuz im sorta broke, and im fully dps speced. So my question is what spec and should i use and what runes? or sigils. Wich is fun ofc and useful for a fractal group. At the moment it feels like im dying in one hit.

So ive managed to get full Zerk armor on my Guardian, I should say that i mostly play PvE havent really tried any pvp. But I noticed even i dodge and all that stuff eventually i go down cause everything is on Cd basicly, i might just be bad. But i like doing dmg and even though Warrior does more dmg or so it seems, there just something about a guardian that speaks to me.

So here is my question is there any good survival spec i can try with my zerk gear, sorta as a hybrid jsut to try how it feels not to be so squishy

So im about to 80 soon with my first character in this game(A Human Guardian Glass Cannon speced). So im mainly a PvE player and want to grab som cool gear. Where should i start? what diffrent options are there on full level?

Yeah im aware of that guardian is nowhere near the same damage as warriors. But ive been told from some people that guardians can put out more just less bursty but i dunno i feel really weak in dmg, could be i dont have all that cool gear yet

Id like to be that damage dealing Guardian. I know i should play Warrior since i love doing as much damage as possible. But i just like the animations and just how the spells look as a guardian. Im mostly gonna focus on PvE since thats kinda my thing:)

So how should i spec and what should i strife for. Im not really sure what to do when i finaly hit 80

I should add that ive played guild wars for awhile just havent been able to reach 80 yet so im not TOTALLY noob :P

So im new to this game and ive never played a Mesmer but i love the fact that they can use GS pistol Sword all that cool stuff. However how are they damage, how big are the numbers? And what role do they Fill in PvE since im mostly playing pve content.

So you never switch weapons during a fight live ive seen warriors do for the burst? If you are a greatsword user you always use greatsword attacks during a bossfight?

Yeah so im fairly new to the game at lvl 30 atm with my guardian. And im curious in pve and bosses what my weapon rotation should be, GS/Sword+Shield or whatever and how to use that rotation.

I was thinking at 80 doing mostly, pve possibly wvw
