This game is about exploring stuff and found out these cool things by yourself, not to get them overwith in 10 minutes using a guide, also if you actually read the letter you would see what to do, then when you came to Pearl Islet you would again be told what to do, then when you got to the third place he ALSO told you what to do, what’s the confusion part of this?.

As a note it’s not a huge guild, but it’s the people in it is nice and friendly here, we really do have a great sense of knowing eachother quite well and having a laugh quite often.
And as Leetle The Great, i love long walks on the beach and icecream, oh yeah and necromancers.
I would love to see some instanced 10 or 20 man runs using ascended gear for armor sets. Tie that into Fractals or make it a Raid in the Underworld or Ring of Fire!
Add some new sets of armor for WvW under ascended gear and tie that into ranks there as well! If there were options like all the dungeons sets have now that would rock!
That’s the worst idea i have ever seen, ascended gear for accessories is already bad enough, the only thing they should do is make elite missions like in gw1 where you were 8 or 12.
Necromancers are just fine in dungeons.
People are kittening kitten and discriminate against necros for a perceived disadvantage.
ANet is not responsible for other people’s stupidity and discrimination.
I guess? From my friend I’ve heard that the main problems with necros are:
1. Condition and boon removal is something Mesmer can do so much better (why why WHY does a Necro have two skills for something a Mesmer can do with one!?)
2. Necros mainly deal in DoT. Great for PvP! But not so much for PvE when most people simply want to clear a dungeon (and if I want to clear everything?).
3. The Necro has nothing going for them to support a team much. Thieves can steal boons from enemies and deal good amounts of damage, and Eles can heal.I don’t know, I guess I’m just jaded since people would rather take my GS “lemme just stand here and take half his health away” Warrior than my Necro.
I have not experienced it myself that no one wanted me because i was a necromancer, i do mainly run with my guild though, but i do run PUG’s also, for most part i am often the one that stays alive the longest and can prevent a wipe, a necromancers biggest stremgth (to me that is) is that we have so many contol conditions to make the boss hit slower (chill) hit not as hard (weakness) interrupt big hits (fear).
And yes, warriors and mesmers are “needed” but only for Cof p1 speed runs, which i have actually done with 3 warrior 1 mesmer and me (necro) in almost the same time as a “normal” cof p1 speed run group.
Actually, Transfusion trait + Well of Blood is crazy good spike heal support, We have, again, control conditions that are also part of a “support”, chill, weakness, fear, cripple, immobilize is all support and we have that, we have that alot, posion when against a healing boss is also grea support, it’s people thinking “support is only healing” that is wrong here.
Hopefully it will end with another dungeon, being a guild (in this case group/adventurers) to take down a big bad boss makes sense, arenanet have always made it so people would play together while single players could play most of the game also, which is what they have done here and in GW1.
Those few people that dislike group content can see it all on youtube quite easily.
That said i personally don’t think there will be a dungeon this time around but my hope is that there will come one so people will be more often in Southsun Cove, it’s a beautiful area.
Dumbest thing NCSoft has done. My only reservation to Guild Wars 2 was that NCSoft was involved. I am glad my fears were unfounded /sarcasm.
I fully agree, when i heard NCsoft was in on this game it mad me annoyed because i knew something like this would happen (not this exactly) as NCsoft aren’t a good company at all, the only good thing from them was the finances i wish arenanet would get 100% say on what they want to do with THEIR game, including getting Cantha back as it was one of the best expansions i have seen in any game.

Who in the team thought it be fun to add another dungeon so hard its impossible to solo or near impossible to even duo, so that it force peoples to party up to max party size … again ?
Really ? I mean really ? after all those complains for past months about the last dungeon Arah, forcing a full size party to finish storyline, they are still doing it ?
Here i thought they finally changed, those in charge of Super Aventure Box, done it perfectly, give their player a chance to do it alone or with a small party. Very good job SAB Team, you guys sure know how to do stuff.
Oh well in my book Anet lost their number one team for making online game. I thought there was still some hope left, but there is none. Will sure not be looking forward to any of their future game from now on.
Yeah if you lost them on this miniscule thing then you did not have anything for them anyway, it’s not forced content, you don’t have to do it at all.
Yeah there’s not much that has changed yet, i guess we will see some more in the forthcoming days. But haven’t really seen anything new yet.
Why wasn’t people that hate playing solo complaining about living story?, well because it makes sense!
I don’t like PUg’s and i am not much of a dungeon runner i have social anxiety and still i can get this done, i am also quite sick and have to sometimes afk right away and no one has yet to call me out on it because i make sure my group knows it, and Vulpis calling it a WoW raid is so far from this galaxy as he can be this place has nothing to do with a wow raid at all, it’s a challenging dungeon, it’s not hard, it’s not easy it is inbetween, and arenanet have always done it this way, in Prophecies you could not do Tomb of The Primeval King with Heros/henchman alone, in Factions you could not do The Deep or Urgozs with heros/henchmen/alone, in Nightfall you could not do Domain Of Anguish with heros/henchmen/alone, Arenanet have always encouraged people to play together against an enemy/nemesis.
And those who want to see the story and hate dungeons you have so many ways to actually see it withouth doing the dungeon, you do NOT have to do it at all it is free content for those who are willing to make an effort.
Why are you playing this game if you just dislike what arenanet do so much?, i don’t understand it, if a game or anything else was against my beliefs i would just stop playing it.
Also Arenanet, keep doing awesome content, remember there’s many millions online playing and having fun and the very small minority is jsut here complaining as it is with all official forums, majority = having fun in game, minority = on forums complaining about something they hate anyway.
Oh yeah and please keep it this way, we do NOT want heroes and henchmen again at all, they ruined most of the social aspect of GW1 we want GW2 to be a social game.

WAY too hard, and seeing an entire thread of “no way, it’s soooo easy, make it harder!” just makes it worse. I was in my third attempt at the dungeon tonight, exact same story as the first two: make it through the dungeon just fine, then die a hundred times at the bosses (who freaking COMPLETELY HEAL every time you wipe?? seriously? here wound, have some salt!) and had to eventually give up. All five of us were dodging, rezzing, doing damage, being aware of the “25% health” gimmick, etc.; at one point we got one of the bosses down to a sliver of health, all wiped, and had to start over from scratch with them having full health again. I’m sorry, but that’s just NOT fun, it’s maddening.
Ignore the people saying it’s an “easy” dungeon. According to my guildies who are experienced dungeon runners, the Molten Facility IS a lot more simple than most dungeons, but all of the difficulty is found in the final boss fight. The people who are saying it’s easy and it should be made tougher are players who more than likely have all Exotic (maybe even Ascended) gear. If you’re more of a casual player (like me), who doesn’t have all that, it will be a lot more challenging.
Expect to die at least a few times against the final boss if you’re in a PUG. Sometimes you’ll just get unlucky and find yourself in a position where you can’t escape the bosses’ attacks. Last night, I got into a hilarious situation where I dodged out of the Firestorm’s AoE right into another of his AoE’s (which I hadn’t seen behind me), and then when I dodged right, I landed into yet another AoE which had just spawned, downing me. And then the Berserker, who had shadow-stepped to another player nearby, did his triple stomp attack which killed me before someone could res me.
Don’t give up though. All it takes is just that bit of luck for things to swing your way. My recommended strategy would be:
1. Kill the Berserker first. The Firestorm is much easier in Phase 2 than the Berserker is.
2. Assign somebody to keep plinking the Firestorm to remove his stacks of Enraged (they make him deal double damage, which can be lethal for anyone who lands in one of his AoE’s). This is an ideal role for an upscaled player or one who doesn’t have the gear to stand toe to toe with the Berserker. Once the Enraged stacks are gone, switch back to the Berserker to help out, but this player’s primary role is to remove Enraged from the Firestorm (and to res downed players).
3. Should go without saying, but res downed players as fast as you can. If you have AoE healing/defensive skills, toss one on the downed player before helping, as you will probably get targeted by one of the bosses while ressing. If a player is defeated, try to lead the bosses away so that another player can res them. (The same player in Role #2 mentioned above is ideal for this, because by this point they’ve likely generated much lower threat than the other players and aren’t so likely to be targeted.)
3. There is an alternate strategy where everybody just clusters inside the Berserker’s target circle and just melee’s him, because his shockwaves start outside of this circle, but this is something of an exploit, so I do not recommend using it.
I ran my warrior through in my rare gear without the stupid healing spec or GS spec people are using and i did just fine all you need to know is when to dodge and when to be ranged, to me it is the perfect diffuculty it’s not OMG hard and it’s not OMG easy, it’s in between and it’s quite well balanced, and just because you are “casual” (how i hate that expression) doesn’t mean you should be bad/have Trouble in dungeons.
…. man What in the world is wrong with some of you people did you ever stop and think that maybe its not the content but that its actualy you. and that it may be a good idea to activly get better at the game.
Ofcourse not, then they have to THINK and not be handed everything! and that sucks that you actually have to use the games mechanics like weapon swap, dodging, jumping and so on.
Guild wars 1 had solo content (with henchmen and heroes) which basically made the game an entire solo experience because people did not bother to group up i do NOT want that to happen again and that is what your suggestion will do, if you prefer to play solo you can not do a dungeon which is fine because not everything is catered to every one that plays.
Also as someone mentioned you can solo most dungeons already if you aren’t bad so just look up some guides and go solo those dungeons so far dungeons/tPvP is the only thing that requires grouping up with people so it’s the smallest portion of the game that you actually miss.
Making every dungeon solo will make the game a singleplayer game (like it happened in GW1) and no one wants that, you can already solo Rox and Braham instances so there is your “solo” instance to do.
Personally i don’t like groupin up that much either but playing in an MMO some social interaction is necessary.
All pets (Minions, Clones, Thieves, Ranger pets, Elementals etc) all got Agony resistance based off the owner in the same patch.
Thought it was only ranger pets, i should probably read more carefully next time.
I hope to see better siphoning skills/traits and that’s really it.
I play a powernecro and i actually find us quite strong and they even buffed us a few patches ago or was it last patch?, i don’t remember really, The signet changes are gonna be fun to watch what they are doing with those because a lot of our signets active abilities are very lackluster or situational, an example is Signet of Power the active on that signet is just very bad so i’m hoping for some new stuff with our signets and our signet traits.
I also want the Spectral armor to have a shorter cooldown because Spectral wall can do protection way better, and hoping for Spectral Walk to get a 40 second CD so it can be a better Stun breaker.
That’s what i’m expecting/hoping.
Because they are utility skills not pets, utilities are not meant to last forever, (a few exception ofcourse, like strong signet passive builds and so on).
I do however think they should put the Agony Resistance from yourself to your minions as it would help MM in the fractals dungeons.
I have dungeons many many times with PUG¨’s not once have a PUG ever been rude at me, and i’m playing a necro!, a few says “necros are bad in dungeons” then i prove them wrong quite often when i ress them over and over, speed runs for CoF is usually where the worst people are, but for the rest of the dungeons there is no problem really.
Also, Living Story is finishing with a dungeon because it’s been all about working together as a team/whatever to stop the molten alliance, i have watched all stories in all dungeons so far, i just say from the start “i want to see it”, and in my guild we’re a few that actually play together to see things/stories, there’s loads of people that hate PUG’ing, that is where special guilds come into play, there are many out there who don’t like PUG’ing and have made a guild to make sure they don’t do it but that they rather team up with eachother that can take it slow.
There are so many options to overcome this “challenge” by solo players, so so many, you are just not looking for it enough apparently, even then, and i know it’s not what you want, but if it is so much against you to do a dungeon in this game, especially for the end of The Living Story, then watch in on youtube when it come out, you can see it in so many ways but you are just in the mental state of “me me me me me me”, if i don’t get what i want they should change the entire game!
Please just enjoy the game and find likeminded people and you will have a great time in the game.
I’ve read it all and i can agree on so many points, it’s more a warlock profession than a necromancer, i played necro a lot in GW1 also, and the feel is just not there at all, disease condtion and sacrificing life was what made the necromancer unique compared to other games i have tried.
Also, one of the major impact is that hexes are removed from the game in GW2.
I agree that it’s the worst profession based on the GW1 necromancer, however i will keep playing it and just hope they do something awesome for us GW1 veterans that loved how the necromancer used to work.
Guardians are warriors are not a must for anything in this game, yes for crappy PUG’s it’s kinda nice to have them, but taking players that know what to do and that have some skills is always better than relying on 2 professions, most my clean runs have been withouth Soldier Professions.
Also Thief in PvE is insanely versatile for a lot of things, 1 of the best combo finisher that is almost spamamble, Cripple spam with Dancing dagger, Stealth, Projectile destroyer, blinding (not as good on bosses but it’s there) and so on.
please nerf the thief in wvw/spvp as much as you wish,
but please balance the pve one, right now, we are not equals (other classes are prefered more in dungeons than others)
eg. warrior was op already in pve, now with the banner buff, it’s almost a must, as guardians :/

I use Berserker weapons and gear, my 2 rings are power, heal, toughness and so are my earrings, rest is berserkers.
With Regen from Phantasms and toughness from regen and Vigor on crits, you’re very tough.
Utilities are always Null Field and Blink, the last 1 i change between Feedback and Phantasmal Disenchanter.
